Officers from the Department of Internal Affairs waited on the tarmac of the nearest airbase for the Kaputerian Peacekeeping Corps. They were to explain the situation to the commander of this force before the premier arrived from Gibet.

They had orders to link-up with Vlack Sturm or other allies of Vlack Sturm that were in the area.

The Dunkerque-class battle cruiser Chopinburg plies through the waters of the Vlack Sturm Sea, even though the sea was rough, the ship had a mission to carry out. Captain Johnson's plan was to have the ship's IFF marked as friendly for this was a diplomatic mission in which the ship would serve as a place to come to terms with the Vlack Sturm government peacefully.
