Well given the Altpeakians would conclude fairly quickly that engaging the Skartenian(?) troops at range is useless and resort to trying to mob into close combat, where a fair few would need to use their muskets as clubs due to not being issued bayonets, that wouldn't be too far from the truth.

That's what the numerical superiority is there for. We'll lose a hell of a lot of guys but all we need is to get enough into close combat.

However, war would hurt both of our nations more than it would help them and I think I have an idea for an agreement that would be acceptable to both sides

Don't worry. I'm sure we'll end up going to war at some stage, even if we manage to resolve the current tensions peacefully. Then we'll get a chance to see who comes out on top
