And to further push peace we call for a official peace conference in the Allenean capital. That is all." he would proceed to get out of view of the camera and the feed would end.

President McGuinness was wrapped in a thick woolen jacket with the collar pulled up to protect his neck from the cold. Snow was trickling down onto the already white and frosty steps leading up to the National House, dusting the Christmas trees propped up behind him, decorated modestly with red garlands and lights. He blew into his gloved hands for warmth, steaming working its way through the cracks in his fingers before he addressed the crowd before him.

"My friends, we've had one hell of a year. Beset on all sides by our enemies...

I'll admit, there was a time when I truly believed that our war with Atkemri would not come to an end without putting the mad dictators head on a platter... And the number of innocent lives required to achieve such a goal, truly terrified me. Tawwassen is a nation of warriors, we have proved that with every day of our existence. From the first days of the Civil War until now, we've fought and sacrificed to eke out out a meager corner of this hostile world to call home. We've drawn our borders with martyr's blood, built up our walls with the bodies of our fallen... This is the life we've been forced to live, but not the one we deserve.

But now, just maybe, is our time. Now, even though it might not be wise to put away our guns, it might just be time to turn the safety on. I've been told that the President Wells has agreed to the terms laid out by Allanea, and are willing to put an end to this conflict. This agreement cannot bring back the dead, but it can create a world in which their children can grow up safe. Now is a time of mourning, but also a time of great celebration... Let's remember the fallen and their sacrifice, but be thankful for our brothers and sisters who will now return home, and hold in our hearts the knowledge that... as the sun rises once again, Tawwassen still stands tall, proud, and free."

As the speech was being delivered, a message was being sent to the Atkemrian Capital, which read as follows:

We are encouraged by your words of peace, and do trust they come from a place of genuine desire, to see this conflict come to an end. We trust you will stick to your end and return Tawwassian POWs home safe, and in good health, and be treated with all the respect and dignity we would show if our roles were indeed reversed. As well, we trust you will put an end to all offensive operations against us, and recognize our sovereign borders in the future unless you wish to spark further bloodshed.

As long as these terms are met, we will honour our word and put an end to any form of support for revolutionaries operating with Volkmacht (or lack there of). As such, unless there are additional details you wish to discuss, we do not see the need for further discussion. If there is however, we will agree to come to the table in Allanea, or (should they not wish to host us) we may arrange other accommodations.

The Free Kingdom of Allanea is gratified to see the conflict come to a reasonable end, wherein our allies in Atkemri have achieved their original war goal, and our opponents in Tawwassen have also seen their dignity and national security guaranteed. While, of course, we will gladly celebrate our victory and that of our heroic allies in Atkemri, we however ask that we avoid attempts to humiliate and insult the people of Tawwassen, who fought bravely and honorably for what they perceive to be their rights.

We are willing to also provide the Atkemri government with funds from the Capitalist Internationale Emergency Fund, and armaments from our storage, to rebuild military and civilian infrastructure that had been damaged by the war.

For Tawwassen, we will provide the services of Ministry of War airliners for the repatriation of any Tawwassen POWs still in Atkemri as of this point in time.

The POW's would be approached by General Roman Kacik himself. He looked more comfortable in his own skin as he had adapted to his prosthetics. "Well looks like your free,and just when I thought we'd get to interrogation." he'd smirk and open the door. "You're free." they'd be put on a bus and driven over to a airport where Allenean airliners would fly them back to Tawwassen. Their treatment in the prison was good by the guards,but their treatment by fellow prisoners could only be described as deplorable. Most guards would simply turn a blind eye ignoring the POW's concerns.

“…Tawwassen still stands tall, proud, and free.” President McGuiness said on the screen as the recording ended again. “A wolf in sheep’s clothing” noted the MiniDef. “On the surface, he is calling for peace, but at the same time makes it sound like they will get ready for a new war.”

“Terrorists will continue to terrorize” commented the MiniForAf. “This nation was formed by the leftist terrorists like AntiFa. They are terrorists at their core, and will remain so, even if a ‘sovereign’ nation. If peace wasn’t breaking out, I’d call for them to be added to the list of terrorist nations. Alas, now is not the time.”

There were nods around the table. “We’ll make a statement expressing how happy we are about peace, and offer Atkemri to establish a permanent base on their land for increased security and stability of their nation.”

It brings joy to my heart to learn that peace is breaking out. The Tawwassen menace and other nations in their evil coalition have been crushed by the forces of good.

To President Wells, congratulations for beating back the hordes that were at you shores. Like much in this world, it could not have been achieved alone. With that in mind, I want to offer the hand of friendship and mend broken bridges. I wish to help you and your nation get back on its feet. With that being said, I am offering a permanent base for a legion of New Romans, to help establish democracy, freedom, and stability, then to protect Atkemri from enemies both foreign and domestic.

Once again, it is good to see peace in such a nasty conflict, and we hope for this peace to last.

"No fuckin' way we're sending transports back to Atkemri." A Tawwassian Sub-Commander, Jeremy Rieger barked, "The idiot's'll just shoot them outta the sky just because they having a bad day." He lead a small entourage through the barracks at Harrison Lake AFB, situated just outside Tawwassen's capital. "If the Allaneans want to try their luck, let 'em."

"Comrade Commander, they aren't trustworthy." A lower ranking officer, "Do you think..."

"I think it's the only option. Tell them we'll be waiting for them at Kelowna International, they're not coming to the capital. We'll escort them in once they get across the border. Capisce?"

"Aye, comrade."

With their release, spirits were high among the Expeditionary Force, all things considered. They'd marched out of the prison with as much pride as they could muster, screaming The Internationale at the top of their lungs, and taunting local prisoners who had made it clear where their allegiances lay. There had been a few fights, but watching a Tawwassian with military training go head to head with street criminals and gangbangers, had made for some interesting entertainment.

"What the hell is wrong with them?" Sitting on the bus, catching some long awaited rest, Reddick looked up at the young soldier, who was sitting next to her.

The Commander grunted, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"They're locked up." The soldier said, looking back at the Prison which was now dissapearing into the distance, "Put in cages like fucking animals... And they're still loyal..." Her voice trailed off, before turning back to Reddick, "How many of them do you think are in their because their poor? Cause they had to steal to live, or sell drugs, or 'cause they're sick? Just because they never had a chance from the beginning?"

"I'd reckon too many." Reddick responded lazily.

"But then why... Why still support Wells?"

"Eh... You beat a dog long enough and he'll be to weak to fight for himself. That weakness is loyalty in the mind of a capitalist. It's not real loyalty, but who cares as long as the everyone stays passive." She rested her head against the window, "But there's only so much anyone can take before they snap..." She chuckled, "Who knows, maybe we'll be back here soon."

"Or maybe we could go someplace a little colder." The soldier, said, whipping sweat from her brow, "Fuck Africa."

"Fuck Africa." Reddick sighed in agreement as the buss rolled towards the Airport.
