Los a medium sized planet and the home world for the Reblicans a race of humanoids with impathic abilities, once strictly used fossil fuels for power before fusion was discovered and since the government banned the use of fossil fuels making fusion power the primary source the planet had healed. With climates returning back to their normal tolerance. Plans for the great festival were stopped when the temperatures reached an unusual high of 90 degrees after it was only 50 degrees the day before. After a brief talk among the scientists it was decided to send the RRS Nov a small scientific ship to scan the sun to see what happened.
"Nearing the star sir, should I assume orbit here?" Asked the pilot.
"Yes, hold here and begin the scans, if our star is beginning its change into a red giant we would need to inform the matriarchy immediately." Said the commanding officer.
The crew went about their scans which only confirmed their fears, the star had begun to change at a accelerated rate with solar activity rapidly increasing.
"Sir I recommend we move back, our shields are having trouble compensating for the increased solar activity." Stated the pilot.
"Sir, I think we should inform the matriarchy on our findings, there's nothing we can do further other than fry our shields and slowly cook to death." Replied the chief scientist.
"Very well, helm move us away and dock with space port Alpha." Ordered the captain.
The captain walked back to his cabin and sent a transmission to the matriarchy about the issue as a rough estimate was obtained for when the sun's transformation would be complete. The prediction was five days, not enough time to move an entire race, but enough to salvage something before the home world was lost...
Okay so that was a little portion of the planned IC. This is just the back story for the Reblicans, a nomadic race that's on the hunt for a new home. So here's the rules.
1. No god modding or massive capital ships that can obliterate other ships with one shot.
2. BE ACTIVE, as in at least one post every three to seven days, if not then don't sign up.
3. Please be detailed and have some dialog, makes this more interesting and fun.
4. Have fun.
