Oh don't worry with IC military reforms from 2005 to 2017, the USSR has had pretty good results with mock airborne invasions, I'd give it about a week or two longer. Maybe less given I think the RP responds to IRL time and today is the 101st anniversary of the October Revolution so the USSR will have more of a morale boost and troops will want to get operations over quickly to return to the USSR for celebrations.

Completely understandable of course, I've been doing rps on some of my other puppets, the others involved in which are usually busy which is why I've put more focus on this pretty much. I've nothing else to do.

I was already going to take the ships back to Crimea to have them more thoroughly searched after finding the missile parts and send the crew to a gulag for the duration of the war.

The armed men could kill the inspectors, and the subs and P-8A could try and protect the convoy as it speeds towards Shackley under immense air cover... But it seems like that would escalate things. I got that. I was telling you the U.S.N. has sent a force to secure the Red Cross ships and their crews and prevent undue abuse or presumption on the part of Soviet forces. If that problem does not happen they will happily loiter at sea until the Red Cross convoy concludes their business and departs.

So I know I'm coming in like three months after I said I could RP and it's now winding down, but I have one question for my first post.
Nobody other than the NPC US occupies the U.S. correct? My nation IRL occupies the U.S. from Montana eastward. If this conflicts with anything I can fallback on me being an island nation in the Atlantic.

Also, I'd be coming as a state that is just monitoring the whole thing and maybe occasionally intervening, as I said before.

From what I've heard from Allanea this thread is low-key over my man. Might be a bit late to get involved.

As I understand Allanea's interest in this thread is concluded, as is the USSR's.

Allanea has: 1) Demonstrated it will react with competently-administered, violent, force when someone attacks its coalition partners or allies. 2) Gotten itself some sweet islands out of the deal. 3) Deterred (hopefully) Shackley from becoming a de-facto slaver state.

The USSR has gotten compensation for the original insult in the form of 12 billion dollars which is frankly more than what it had originally wanted IIRC.

So we view ourselves as victors of the war, probably Cassie and Fikatsia will exchange congratulations off-screen, etc.

Since Shackley has no significant interest in prolonging the war (it lost, but avoided significant national humiliation and/or national disaster), there's no sense to going on with the thread, particularly since Shackley's mainland has not been damaged and so there's little in the way of economic reconstruction to do.
