CKS Shogun Ieto

The radar lit up as hundreds of missiles suddenly became visible. Some things don't need permission, saving your own skin and your ship was one of them. Captain Ashida didn't even consult Inari, he just yelled, "OPEN UP ALL ANTI-MISSILE DEFENSES!"

Almost as a single entity, anti-missile missiles left their pods on board the ships, and crews manned their CIWS. The first volley of 320 missiles was almost entirely obliterated by the sheer volume of missiles of the Typhoon fleet, but a few impacted the fleet. A destroyer received several hits as the CIWS had malfunctioned, and was aflame. A cruiser had taken a hit on the bridge, and the communications had been severed on the craft. Worse in the long run, a refueler had taken a hit and the oil it carried was up in flames, and individual crewmembers could be seen diving into the water, where many of them were killed anyway as floating oil enveloped them.

The second volley did more damage as fewer AMM were launched. A gaping hole appeared in the side of one of the Tokugawa Carriers, and a Tojo had the flight deck rendered all but inoperable as a missile took off the catapult used to launch aircraft. The Mimasen that had taken hits earlier took more damage, with a missile hitting the weapons cache, obliterating the craft. Another ammunition ship went up in flames, with flaming parts of the hull flying around to the rest of the fleet. Although fire wasn't nearly as dangerous to modern navies as it had been during the era of wooden man-o'-wars, they could still bring a ship to the bottom, and the firecrews that hustled around were a testament to such.

"FIGHTER SCREEN, LAUNCH AMMs!" yelled Ashida, suddenly remembering one of the reasons he had sent up several hundred fighters.

The third volley was about as effective as the first, as the crews that hadn't launched AAMs against the second volley were ready in time for the third, and the aircraft fired to support the naval defenses. The CKS Shogun Ieto took a hit, rocking the entire ship, but it wasn't serious, having hit the hull above the waterline, but another cruiser hadn't been so lucky. Missiles had created holes all around the ship, both above the deck and right next to the waterline.

The reserve fighters deployed to attack the ASD fleet each fired a pair of ASMs at the offending ships. The sheer volume of 240 missiles all but guaranteed the utter destruction of meager fleet. As the static defenses opened up on the fleet, the force that had just decimated the missile craft were ordered to split up and open fire on the emplaced guns.

Blue Cove Skies, Initial Fighter Force

Having routed a large portion of the ASD RRF, the Kagetorian fighters found themselves under AA fire from the emplaced defenses. Another 75 fighters fell from the sky in flames, while the rest of them selected targets alongside the reinforcements against the static positions.

Blue Cove KTAF-S

Nearly 1,000 KTAF-S had hit the ground, while a total of about 250 who had dropped either hit the ground dead or were filled with lead in firefights. Gas/smoke grenades had been used liberally, covering a good portion of the city with tear gas and smoke. The gas masks of the KTAF-S were top of the line, and included both night vision and infrared imaging, the latter of which was currently in use. Moving through the cloudy streets, the elite units wiped out resistance as they found it, taking light losses. They were after all the best that Kagetora had to offer.

Sgt. Takai had hit the ground in an area already secured by previous elements of the division. Rallying with his squad of now only 8, he quickly ordered them to switch to infrared and proceed to objectives, namely, the docks, government buildings, and communications centers.

An errant, malfunctioning missile flies in the direction of the Leviathan. Frederickson, without even worrying, walks the deck, observing the scene. He looks up and see's the missile heading towards them, as people dived for cover, he just folded his hands behind his back and kept observing. With a loud pop, a THEL effortlessly causes the missile to explode. "It's getting too hot here, we got the information and recordings we need. I want us 10 clicks away in 30 minutes!" People scramble on the deck of the Leviathan as they get to their posts, and as Frederickson walks away to get back to the bridge, he says almost with a second thought, "Have the Fenris launch a drone."

As the small fleet sails away, the small, Predator-shaped Drone heads to the Maelstrom of firepower miles south of their position.

What we wish to do in this theater is to help our allies out. I apologize for getting back to you after such a long time. The Department's focus has been on the Yakutan situation. We've had little time to concentrate on other matters. But we are confused when you ask for aid pertaining to a carrier. What help do you need exactly?

I strongly believe your attention is in the right place. Survival first.

If you have soldiers to spare, the opening of a southern front and splitting the forces of the ASD would greatly aid the war effort.

However, more importantly, a massive fleet from the ASD is expected to return to their homeland within 3 weeks. None of our fleets are prepped or equipped to deal with the threat, and we would like to request that you stall the opposing navy from their return.

I am Field Marshal Henry Castle, Chief of the Greater Americanian Military. My colleague has forwarded your list of things we can do to help you to me and I have gained the approval of the President to act accordingly. As our efforts are primarily directed to the Yakutan crisis as well as the rescue of our comrades being held by Arivadan rebels we have no capacity to directly manage this so any efforts we can do must be managed by your military high command. However as I've stated, we are willing to contribute troops to this war. First, I have some questions.

1) Upon opening a Southern front, how many troops will be necessary? What sort of resistance will Greater Americanian troops encounter? What are the enemies number in this section of their country. What are they armed with? Are they supported by artillery or air support? What is the status of their Navy in this sector?

2) What are the specifics regarding this fleet? How many ships are we to expect and of what kinds?

If you can answer these questions, I can best allocate out military resources to aiding you in your war efforts.

Sincerely,

Field Marshal Henry Castle

That is excellent news! I will provide you with what information we have available.

1. Current estimates assume that a force between 5 and 10 divisions would be of a size large enough to not only secure areas of the island, but to draw forces away from the Northern Front. As the majority of ASD forces are currently heading north, you would likely meet little resistance in the initial landing, with an increase as the ASD Command takes your assault as a threat. The arms they are using provide no clear advantage over the other modern equipment. They had air support during our invasion, but we were able to quickly wrest aerial superiority from them. They had little in the way of artillery beyond ASM installations. To the extent of our knowledge, they have little to no naval operations in that sector.

Here is a map of the nation (Canada in place for scale, please ignore large red bubbles)
Current list of ASD military equipment can be found here.

2. According to current intel, this is what comprises their current fleet.

"Navy"
"Good work boys" Said the captain. "Abandon ---"
The order was cut off by the first of the ennemy missiles detonating at less than twenty feet. The order would have been a day late and a dollar short anyway as a single desultory CM launch from the sword and last ditch CWIS systems managed to take down only 67 of the ennemy missiles. The rest detonated either directly on the ships who had no Shields to provide them with ECM, Dedicated CM or solid targeting data against the ennemy CMs. The ships had done their jobs, the civilian and the Naval trainees had managed to get out of the combat zone and they'd managed to actually deal some damage to the ennemy fleet. The price for their actions, though, had been high. When the Smoke cleared every ship in the so called fleet except for the Sword was already in pieces or heading to the floor of the Cove. The Sword, the single captial ship in the "fleet" was still floating . . .kind of. It was listing heavily, on fire and rounds we're begining to cook off as the surviving fleet members jumping off the ship and into the waters of the cove. There we're some survivors hanging onto floating pieces of debris as the Sword gave one final boom as the rest of the magazine went off at the same time breaking the ships back. The Captain went down with his ship killed, along with the rest of the bridge crew when three ennemy missiles had detonated simultaniously on the bridge one penetrating the armor to detonate inside the bridge less than 2 inches from the captains head.

Myrmidons
"Wait for it" Said Sargent Macks. The Femal sargent had taken control of their squad in the midst of the chaos.

Harry and sam looked towards the smoke trying to figure out where their ennemies would be coming through the smoke. The only advantage the Outnumber, out gunned and out trained myrmidons had over their ennemies was surprise and Damnit they we're gonna use it to its biggest advantage. Their emplaced defenses would provide concealment from visual and IR at medium range as well as cover from ennemy fire up to close range. What it came down to was a balance. A balance between catching the ennemy offguard and not opening fire on them too soon to efficiently use their entire set of weaponry. Harry's squad would be the first to open fire. Harry and sam as Ssniper and his Sharpshooting spotter would be the first to fire on Macks' command.

"Hold, Hold," she whispered as more of the ennemy came through the smoke. Harry dialed in onwhat looked to be a leader motioning to his 10 man squad. The ennemy came further on, more of them coming out of the smoke carefully. Then they reached mid range. "Alright she said very very quietly. "Fire at will!"

Harry breathed out the squeezed the trigger gently aiming straight between the eyes of his opponant's gasmask. As he did so, Sam did exactly the same thing with his battle riffle aimed at another such "leader" attempting to cause maximum chaos. As the two opened fire the entire line of 400 platoons streached between two Blockhouses about two kilometer apart and seventy-five meters deep, did exactly the same thing the whole line errupting into flames as tracers zipped towards the ennemy targets both beyond and presumably in the smoke.

RRF(well . . .kinda)
Mack was looking down between his legs and yelled
"OH SHIT!" as he yanked at his parachut trying to avoid landing in what had just turned into a fireing gallery.
"God Dmn". He exlaimed. Watching below him as the mirmydons opened fire into a smoke screen. He looked at the two blockhouses see the flashes of sniper riffles as a pair of marines, perhaps ill advisably, openedfire from the roof . He watched as he descended lining up on a landing zone directly between the two large buildings behind the line of fire. It was the best he could hope for.
As he did so, Something burned directly over his parachute disrupting his flight path just a little.

Emplaced Defenses
The Emplaced Defenses began to take hits as ennemy fighter aircraft began targeting the Emplacements. These emplacements we're designed, though, to take at least a couple of armor piercing hits. Cannon fire and high explosive Air-Land attacks we're relatively ineffective and only a few emplacements we're put completely out of action. More emplacements lost cannon or AA and AS missile emplacements but radar and personel sectors remained generally intact. It didn't really matter though. The threehundred and fifty ish remaining emplacements had never been designed to replace a true defense, only augment it and with ennemies coming in from all sides the defenders began abbandoning their posts heading southward. The remaining defensive positions we're not surrounded by the ennemy (those positions had already been overrun) and they began a retreat southwards carrying only personal wqeapons, primarily handguns and a few SMGs. The hundred Emplaced defenses outside of blue cove had realoaded AA missiles and we're in the process of reloading AS As a second volley of 800 AA misiles streaked towards the ennemy aircraft over blue cove.

DSAS, aboard an armored transport Helicopter.
"Well?" asked the Major turning to his XO Captain Anna Valdez.

"Well what sir?" She replied innocently.

"Damnit Anna this is serious" He said hiding a grin. "You know what I'm talking about."

"Yes sir," she replied.. "We're approxmetly 20 minutes from the DZ and then another hour out from blue cove as well as another 20 mins ish to gear up."

"Tell them to speed the hell up" Said the Major. "Those marines are trapped there until we can exfil em."

"Sir, Their doing the best they --" began Anna before being cut off.

"I know I know" replied Major Bishop. "just wanna get there."

Tenth Legion
The entire Tenth legion, mounted in LAVs, Tanks and IFVs was on the move. The whole armored column rolling at speed to the sound of a variety of music blaring inside each tank, IFV and LAV pumping up the troopers inside.

"ETA?" Asked Wilkins from the command Tank.

"About nine Hours sir." Replied Captain Silvia from her own IFV. "Thats too blue cove."

"Okay." Said Wilkins. "Make sure the troops eat soon might be their last hot food for a while. Makesure the drivers switch out as well."

"Aye aye sir." Replied the captain. "Wee gonna stop or?"

"Nope. Hotswitch. You cool with that?"

"Yes sir!" Said Silvia

ASDC
"Okay," Said Lewis as he looked at some of the most recent deployment reports. He looked up "Whats up Jules?'

"Nothing good sir." She Replied. "We just lost all contact with the Avenger. Our AWAKs, the 14 of em that are still in the air that is, report the loss of all except one interceptor that dropped of the map soon after though that may have been deliberate and we lost alot of strike fighters on the ground and in the air."

"God damn." Said lewis through his teeth. "what about our trainees and civis."

"Thats the one part of somewhat good news sir." Replied Jules.

"Somewhat?" Asked Lewis. "what, exactly does that mean?"

"Well all the civies and our ships got out without trainers but out none the less." Replied Jules.

"Thats good?" Replied hawk "Whats the bad?"

"Well sir we've had mass destruction across the civilian sector." Said Jules "and only some minor damage to the millitary facilities outside of the airstrips."

"Ok?" Said Lewis Hawk "Their actually targeting civillians deliberately????"

"No sir." Said Jules."its mostly incidental. the millitary buildings are well armored so the stray missiles and fighters haven't done mush dammage."

"You what? fighters?" Said Hawk. "Yes sir, the dogfight occured essentially over our own civilian section of blue cove. Planes, hole and otherwise have obliterated large parts of the "city" and civilian manufaturing sir."

"Shit." said Hawk."and backup?"

"Pretty much the same sir." said Jules. "To far and too long. Sorry sir."

"Well hell." Said Lewis. "Should we recall the RIF?"

"sir from the way it looks" Began Jules

"Yah your right." Replied Lewis "Recall them. . .soonest."

KTAF-S

Sgt. Takai was a lucky man. Not only had he survived the initial drop, but as the defensive line set up by the ASD Myrmidons, he didn't take a single hit. Of course, that second part wasn't as much luck as brains. He had made sure that his squad wasn't the first to go through the smoke, but they still took another 6 of 8 casualties.

Of course, the little bits of red that showed up on the many pairs of goggles had served to vastly reduce the number of fatalities taken. Of the initial line of 200, the majority fell, never to rise again. Over 150 of the initial wave died. The others immediately began laying down fire on the positions of the Myrmidons. Takai plastered himself against the nearest corner and aimed out with his Ashigaru. A red head in his infrared goggles appeared above cover, and a well placed shot knocked it down again. Return fire zipped past his position, taking one of his comrades with it, but the KTAF-S was clearly giving better than it received as enemy fire thinned. That is, not counting the first burst of the massive firefight. As slightly more rear units took the places of those in the first wave, more and more well aimed firepower was directed at the defenses.

Kagetorian Fighters

As the massive bombardment knocked a good many, about 400, out of the sky, the others continued to bombard the emplaced defenses. Most of the fighters who were downed had already launched off all of their missiles, so they didn't affect the bombardment much.

Kagetorian Navy

Aboard the CKS Shogun Ieto, the namesake's younger brother was horrified at the readings coming from the ship. 3 thousand missiles were currently streaking toward the fleet? Already, CIWS were firing towards the cloud of missiles, trying to shoot down as many as possible in a strategy similar to that of American Civil War armies. Though not necessarily accurate at the range they were firing, the sheer volume of rounds ensured hits on the enemy missiles. The fighter screen and the damaged fleet both launched all AMMs they could fire in the short time they had. Praying that the enemy was out of missiles or would be silenced by his fighters, Inari stood in the middle of the bridge. Of course he was afraid of death. No one sane could deny being afraid of death, but a calm face, regardless of whether it was merited, would help the seamen work at optimal capacity.

Cursing himself for not having Wu deploy any YAL-1s, Inari seemingly calmly scratched his nose while waiting for the impact.

Then the missiles hit. One of the flagships' sister ships received several ships, impacting the bridge and flight deck and likely disabling controlled movement and definitely disabling launch and landing capability. Another Tokugawa seemed to have taken fire control damage, as all of their weapons abruptly stopped firing. A Tojo was replaced by a fiery pseudo-mushroom cloud as a sonic wave of explosion deafened all those nearby. A cruiser was listing badly, smoke pouring from the stern, with small figures visible diving into the water. Another cruiser had the unfortunate experience of having a missile that had just launched collide with an incoming missile, raining the deck with shrapnel and fire. 4 destroyers were rendered all but inoperable, and another 7 had taken damage and possibly water. Most of the support ships had escaped unharmed, but a minesweeper had its nose in the air, and a RADAR ship was missing about half of the hull.

Was it luck or fate that the commanding vessel had escaped harm in all of the missile volleys? Time would tell, but for now...
"I WANT YAL-1s IN THE AIR, NOW! I WANT THEM PROTECTING THIS FLEET FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE CAMPAIGN!"

Myrmidons
"Shit!" Yelled Harry as a round zipped less than two centimeters by his head knocking his rifle, and his next shot, wild. "Sarge?"

"What?" Asked Sargent Cory, officially taking control of the squad from the now deceased female Sargent.

"Sir?" Said harry Surprised then "Sir we're being overwhelmed. Troops on the line are mostly Pinned by ennemy fire and they are only bringing up more reinforcements. It looks like their dropping in more people at regular intervals. Sir we cannot hold this line for long."

"Sir for the record." Said Sam Plastered down on the bottom of his hide but still lay down aimed, continuous fire from his battle rifle. "I concur."

"Fine." Said cory then switch to All freqs. "All grenadiers Theta i say again, Theta."

On his command aproxametly 400 grenadiers, one from each squad of ten, Opened fire for the first time. Each grenadier Fired a single grey tagged round a preassigned targets. The effect of this act was to make a second barrier of smoke between the embattled Mirmydons and their opponants. The gas masks and IR wouldn't help with this barrier of smoke either. This gas was, infact made by dispersing White Phosphorus via low level explosives. On contact with the air the WP burned fircely Creating both Smoke and a massive amount of heat. As the smoke went up the 400 squads, now with only 3700 members backed off but not before laying a few very suspicious looking objects in concealed positions. The semi circles collapsed backwards under the cover of smoke, towards a single line bewteen the two buildings

Emplaced Defenses]
"Ok thats about that." Said a Reserve Lieutenant as the last of the offensive weaponry in his command was taken out. He flipped to the command frequency and gave an order that was pretty much redundant. "Hunker Down."

It was the only possible option, with a missile barrage destroying everything outside their command bunkers going out would have been suicide and so the troopers bunkered down and stopped going offensive, switched off radar and Hunkered down in the lowest, most heavily protected parts of their bunkers as ennemy strikes shook the ground around them.

KTAF-S

As the White Phosphorous ignited, KTAF-S soldiers began crying out in pain as the suits they wore began burning. However, the contents of 400 bullets couldn't spread very far, and only about 75 soldiers fell from the flames.

Being unable to see, for the moment at least, the massive front stopped. The force still numbered more than 45,000, and a full division of them had yet to land. The 5th Division, who was still in transit, was ordered to drop 1/2 a mile behind the smoke screen.

The 3rd Division rerouted to begin besieging the emplaced defenses. They would have something to do.

KAGETORA DECLARES WAR

In a recent act of agression, the Glorious Shogunate of Kagetora declared war on the Allied States of DaWoad, following a small incident in the nation of Petrovville, in which Kagetora and DaWoad came near to blows. However, as the majority of the DaWoad navy left for Petrovville to assert their authority in the region, the Kagetorian High Command saw their chance and launched an invasion of the ASD.

DAWOAD RESPONDS

Kagetorian government all you have accompilshed is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve.

Commandant Lewis Hawk

Myrmidons
"Hooo" breathed Harry as he reached his third pre-prepared defensive position of the day without the almost expected hammerblow of a bullet striking him in the back.
"Damn." He whispered looking back and not seeing anyone else behind him or any ennemy troopers coming through the smoke.

"hell of a day man" Said Sam as Harry moved to the front of the concrete bunker alongside him.

"Yah no kidding." Replied Harry.

Then there was the sound, a sound they'd all been somewhat dreading. Ennemy Transport planes we're flying and they we're coming closer.

"God Damn." Said Harry Coldly.

"Shit!" Exlaimed Corporal Mack ditching his parachut as he hopped into the back of the bunker along with Harry and Sam. He picked up a Rifle off the wall where it was resting beteen two dead Myrmidons. "Well boys the ennemy's on the way, we gonna pull some Spartan type shit or are you ground pounders gonna help me get outta here?"

"The fuck?" Asked Harry somewhat stunned by the person's sudden appearence. "who the hell are you?"

"Flying Corporal Mack of the . . .now gone . . .RRF" He said. "I was an interceptor Pilot up there"

"Well hell" Said Sam. "As to the plan . . .We'll its one of two hail marry plays. Either we try to bowl the landing ennemys over and get the hell out of here or we hold in place. Dunno which is gonna happen. Just have to wait and see on that one man."

"Well fuck." Said the flying corporal almost wishing that he hadn't ejected.

ASDC
"Sir!" Exclaimed a coms major "Sargent Cory, Current commander of the Myrmidons has managed to patch a coms through and a pred. is entering into the combat zone now so we have some eyes in there.

"Alright" Replied Lewis. "Patch it through."

"Sir!" Said Sargent Cory over the line. "Sargent Cory of the Myrmidons here sir, I . . .need some more info on the situation here."

"Alright Sarge," Said Lewis. "What is it you need?"

"Well sir heavy land and air support would be nice, but I know thats not doable so I need an ETA on the DSAS." Said the Sargent. "An ETA on the Legionnaires would be good as well but also your assesment on how helpful they'll be in this type of urban combat."

"Alright Sarge how much time do you have?" Asked Lewis.

"not much sir," Said the Sargent. "The ennemy appear to be moving for a landing zone behind us with an ETA of less than a half hour. In an hour or so they will be established on the ground in numbers that we wont be able to screen past em. Give them an hour and a half and they'll probably overrun us and within two hours we'll be completely gone."

"Fair Sargent." Replied Lewis. "The eta on the DSAS is just over an hour by now. We'll patch in all the intel take from the preds as they deploy. As to screening out now or Staying put sarge, its your call."

"Understood sir." Said the Sarge. "We'll do what we can but ask those DSAS for us to Hurry the hell up."

"Aye aye."Replied the commandant softly. "And godspeed."

He turned to jules as the sarge hung up. "There's a sargent in charge of 5 000 troopers?" He said. "What's going on there Jules?"

"Sir," Replied Jules. "The only forces there with any kind of training we're the Myrmidons sir. They're also only 4 200 Troops at this point and most of those who died we're trainees sir."

"Fuck." Said Lewis. "At least the RRF and the Navy we're trainers or trained troops fuck the children are really fighting our wars now aren't they."

"Sir." Said Jules.

Myrmidons
At a couple of quick commands The myrmidons Split into two contingents of about Two thousand a pop. One section began digging in behind their compatriots. The Other Half Spread themselves out amongst the concrete emplacements and prepared for one hell of a fight. Waiting for the ennemy to show themselves.

DSAS
The Drop troopers we're gearing up as the Myrmidons and the ASDC talked. Within ten minutes the DSAS Were moving out. 150 Tanks and 500 Attack Helicopters led the way, followed by loaded transport helicopters who had spread out and were headed for blue cove with an eta of 57 minutes. 500 km to the south, 100 STOVLs had landed on a small, almost insignificant airstrip to refuel from an underground fuel bunker.

(OOC: Is that my predator, or yours? Probably yours.)

The drone begins a low sweeping run of the calmer areas of the battlefield, observing troop densities and how they camp (could come in handy for raids.) The drone has specific sub-orders that if it is to run out of fuel or be somehow disabled, it is to explode (mind you, not a big explosion, since Drones usually aren't that dramatic.)

OOC: Sorry for taking forever with this post and the crappiness of it

Paratrooping KTAF-S

Corporal Yuudai was in a sour mood. Part of that had to do with being in the last division to land, and the other had to do with them being dropped in an area that hadn't already been largely subdued. There was the red light, and the green light, and Yuudai jumped out into the air. Looking around, it was much calmer than when Takai jumped. There weren't nearly as many planes flying around, and that probably had to do with the fact that the RRF had been all but annihilated. Looking down, the smoke screen looked like it had dissappeared, and his ears told him there wasn't much firing going on anymore. That could mean any number of things.

KTAF-S Ground

As the hundreds of radioes sent the next commands, the KTAF-S switched back to normal imaging, and proceeded to move forward, albeit more carefully this time.

Arivadian Peacekeepers got the word to borad the planes. They would be heading to the capital of Dawood. There mission was to protect civilans. The soilders were former Marines. They got better funding. They were all given the M4 Assualt Rifle and a blue helmet. The helmet would let others know they were peacekeepers. Almost 100,000 were going. But the Arivadian government had to ask Dawood to go into there country first so that was a hold up.

ASDC
"Preds. are in place Lewis." Said Jules. "The situation seems like its stable for the moment."

"Ok," Said Hawk rubbing at his eyes. "Time to get down to some of the Diplo crap thats been pilling up."

"Actually sir." Replied Jules, "We're pretty much set on that side of things as well."

"Really?" Asked Hawk.

"Yes sir." She said. "You need to send a respons to the Arivadian Government about why, exactly, they're sending peackeepers and why we should trust them."

"Aye aye sir." Said Jules "I'll get right on it. Might i suggest, though, that you also take abreak sir?"

"Fair enough captain. Wake me if anything needs my attention."

"Aye aye sir." Replied the Captain with a grin

DSAS
"No news really sir." Said the corporal as he turned to lieutenant in charge of the Tank. "We're getting Pred feed now."

The predators showed the scene of a fairly intact naval base along with a burning, smoking and generally ruined civillian section. Predator drones zoomed in on specific ennemy drop zones, units moving forward slowly and carefully. Two more preds hugged the sea level and headed out between the floating debris

"well damn corp." Said the lieutenant. "Eta?"

"Aprox. thirty minutes sir."

"Fair enough." Replied the lieutenant. "Put away the mess kits and button down the tank."

"Yes sir."

KTAF-S

The 5th Division had hit the ground uneventfully, and were turning back to aid the frontal assault.

Aircraft

Most of the fighters had returned to their carriers of origin to refuel and rearm. The entire force was expected to be ready to roll in 40 minutes, and most of them before that.

IC:
Myrmidons
The myrmidons hunkered deeper into there holes as Tactical data came in to squad leaders. Thumbs moved closer to the detonating buttons of multiple traps as the ennemy drew closer to the abandoned positions. The reward facing force continued to fortfiy as fast as they could giving up stealth for speed to get their positions ready before the ennemy appeared.
