Hawk Stood on the Forward deck as he looked out over the mass fleet leaving the Sole ASD'ian Naval base. He watched as Ships Steamed out Towards the Upcoming conflict in Petrovville.
Hmmmm thought Hawk to himself as he watched the entirety of the usable ASDN Left their stations.I really really hope no one takes this as an oportunity to. . .but no we have few ennemies these days. They'll be fine.
The Fleet continued to make its way north then turned Sharply West heading out towards the conflict area. They were leaving behind a few good ships with no crew as a token deterrent and a whole bunch of Trainees as the only Navy worth mentioning In the ASD.

ASD Command Somewhere under mount Broke.
"Commandant Lewis" Said Mace saluting as the Woadraider Commander limped into the room.

"Sir" Said Lewis Somewhat Coldly.

"Look," Said Mace. "I know you can't be my biggest fan after what I let happen to our millitary. Bu I need your help fixing it."

"Sir," Replied Lewis. "I'd rather be with my troops sir. If I wasn't injured id be out there all ready." He motioned to his splinted leg, the cause of his limp.

"Yes, I know you would.l" Said Mace. "But honestly we need you here more. There have been rumors of some sort of threat to the ASD. Unfortunatly Everyone except FASD has been somewhat degraded so there are no definate reports but I've got a bad feeling."

"Ayte sir." Replied Lewis. "What exactly?"

"I need you to speed up readiness as much as possible. Esspecially with the remainder of our Navy and I need you to begin yesterday."

"Aye Aye sir." Replied Lewis as he abnout turned and left the safety of the ASDC.

The ASD'ian Fleet Slowed to a full stopfacing the 40 odd ennemy ships at a distance of Approximatly 30km Despite the concillitory words the ASDs Shield class Areospace defense Ships had flipped on active radar and were mauvering to protect more vulnerable missile attack, Aircraft carriers and logistics ships.

OOC: The Allied States of Dawoad my nation

"Our Appologies also." Replied Wark. "For the discomfort."

Shield Class Ships interposed themselves between the ASD'ian Fleet and the ennemy as they turned to circumvent the Federation territory. Radar continued to sweep but many of the active RADAR systems were flipped to standby as the shields went to a more passive defense state. A small Combat Air Patrol also grew slightly larger as 20 interceptors launched along with a pair of AWACs.

Hainan Military Port

A massive fleet was amassed in the chief military base in the southern portion of the Kagetorian Shogunate. 6 Tokugawa Class carriers, along with 8 Tojo Class carriers, formed the backbone of the fleet of over 75 naval combat vessels, including 3 dozen Mimasen Class destroyers, 15 Sakana Class submarines, and a primary escort of Donjon Class cruisers.*

Aboard the CKS Shogun Ieto, the flagship of the fleet, paced Admiral Tokugawa Inari, the younger brother of Shogun Tokugawa Ieto, and the second most powerful naval officer in the Kagetorian Naval Armed Forces.

Satellites had confirmed an NKVD report that a massive majority of the Allied States of DaWoad navy had embarked on a mission to reinforce the meager defenses of the Petrovville against the Birkainian invaders. The ASD would pay for their defenselessness in taxes to the Shogun. The ASD citizens would soon learn a new way of life.

With a wave of his hand that ended pointing in the direction of DaWoad, Inari directed the fleet to weigh anchor, and embark on the first conquest of the new millenium. The Admiral would either go down in history as a hero, or a disgrace.

When they reached a rendezvous point offshore of the ASD, the 3rd Kagetorian Terrestrial Armed Forces- Shinobi, the most elite soldiers pulled from KTAF, the NKVD, the KIA, and the KGB, would paratroop into the bay of the massive river and take the installations, clearing the way for the regulars to land.

A small sattelite similar to countless others orbited Around NS earth. As it passed across a specific hemisphere of NS earth it began to take multiple readings across all spectrums. Soon though, it passed through its target area and shut down, though not before sending down two brief data bursts to the ASDC.

ASDC
Captain Jules walked into the room where COmmandant Lewis was watching a large screen with the days reports.

"Sir?" She asked.as she walked into the room.

"Honestly captain?" Said Lewis. "Its nothing . . . Reports are normal small fleet movement and everything. Same Old Same Old but we've never been this vulnerable before."

"Sir?" Asked the Captain. "What?"

"During our civil war . . .hell even during the war in TAP we were never this unprepared to deal with a naval assault . . .blue cove's wide open airforce and infantry preperation is low and honestly i'm entirely out of ideas on how to motivate these guys." Said the Commandant looking haggard.

"What do you mean sir? Our troops -- " The captain began.

"Nah captain," Said the Commandant "the only really battleready and well motivated forces are gone. The rest . . .we'll their readiness is poor at best. The last couple of years have been entirely aweful for our Millitary and I honestly don't know how to motivate them again."

"Well, sarge" Jules Laughed slightly. She had been a corporal under Master Sargent Lewis in the early days of the Woad Raiders. "You remeber Sargent nobody sir?"

Marine Trainng Camp Alpha, Blue Cove
A pair of recruits dressed in civillian clothes stepped ouyt onto the concret pad along with possibly thousands of others recruits and troopers streaming out of the busses, helicopters and planes. The scene was repeating itself all over the ASD as troops and recruits alike from all branches reported to a variety of training centers at bases across the ASD.

"I dunno why I let you talk me into this bro." Said Harry as he walked down the tarmac next to his friend and fellow recruit Sam. "The pays been terrible and getting worse for a while and I've heard of guys who've been recruits for years.

"I know bro," Replied Sam. "But there've been changes and I have no idea what this is about mayber__"

"ATTENTION ON DECK!" Yelled nearly 500 sargents simultaniously. "FORM LINES! ON THE DOUBLE."

A single figure was walking out onto the tarmac followed by a bunch of others. From the mass of Recruits and Trainers More people we're making themselves known and straightening the troops into lines. Every one of the people apparently in control was wearing the same Blue-grey dress uniform and all we're older than They should have been for active servbice though none showed it.

"The hell?" Said Harry over his shoulder to Sam

"No idea." Said Sam then shutup as a blue uniformed soldier with three stripes and a crown on his shoulder walked by.

The single figure walked out into the middle of the enourmous concrete pad. "Wellcome to training site ALPHA." He said in a clear voice that carried all to well. "My name is Sargent Nobody. That is all you need to know about me. As to yourselves, the next two weeks will be absolute ehll. We don't have time to coddle your sorry ASSES. TEAM LEADERS . . . .BREAK NOW!"

he began to walk off the pad as organized choas began in the ranks., "Oh , he said quietly "and welcome to the myrmidons"

Somewhere in the Ocean

After picking up the final supplies from bases in West Oceania, the newly dubbed 'Typhoon' Fleet was sailing towards the island that composed DaWoad, a massive island that could probably be considered a continent. Aboard the CKS Shogun Ieto, Prince Inari had just left the bridge, and was accompanied by Captain Ashida, a decorated naval officer who had served alongside Inari in many conflicts.

"Captain, how long until we reach the ASD?" asked Inari, already bored in the 3 days of sailing. They had passed by a few other small fleets, but none had matched the size of the Typhoon Fleet.

"Our estimated time of arrival is about 12 days sir."

Inari sighed. 12 days cooped up with a few thousand excited sailors and officers was not something to look forward to.

"Captain, relay a message to the other chief officers, I want all outbound radio messaging to imply that we are moving to a point north of DaWoad, where we will be splitting into several Rapid Response Fleets."

"Yes sir. Anything else sir?"

"That will be all, morale is high, everything is running as planned, enjoy your watch off."

ASDC
Thousands of troopers had been moving through the ASDC over the last few day in cross training excercises and in an attempt, albeit futile, to keep ontop of all the excess work the massive training regime was causing.

Commandant Lewis Laughed as he overlooked the frantic and chaotic movement ongoing in an area that had been deathly quite just a week ago.

"Whats so funny?" Asked a haggard Jules as she looked at the laughing commander with a somewhat bemused expression.

"Just imagining Hawks expression if he could see this" The Commandant continued to laugh. "He used to come here to "think"."

"Yah you sure have shaken things up Lewis." Said the Captain "But its a good thing, A couple more weeks and we'll be at near full readiness on all of our units."

Yah I know" Replied Lewis but he seemed troubled.

RIF (ASDN assault Fleet) Somewhere between the ASD and Petrovville
Admiral Hawk was walking along the flight deck of the ASDS Woadraidr simply watching the waves. Aside from a single screw repalcement that had paused the fleet for a little while. The fleet was making good time towards the conflict. That being said, though everything was going well, Hawk was feeling nervous. It was a wierd feeling for Hawk he hadn't been nervous about anything in quite some time.

Training Facility Alpha
"Jesus"Whispered Harry to Sam, his spotter, next to him as he sighted along the barrel of the training weapon used to simulate a sniper weapon. They'd been running simulated combat scince the beginning between firearms and strength training. Combat Sims had included urban, Mountain and a whole variety of plains and forests. This one, though, was the thoughest yet. The single Platoon of which both Sam and Harry we're assigned had won every single battle mostly thanks to Sargent Cory Harps, the leader of their platton. but this, this was gonna be though. Three "op for" squads were travelling down a straight road in the Urban Assault training ground and the single squad had to take out all of em with fewer than 5 losses.

the radio crackled softly."Scorpio now now now"

Harry's Rifle cracked once then again, taking out the point guardsa as the ambush teams oipened fire on each of the ennemy's flanks. OpFor troopers went down hard, but the tail squad was responding well. Well, that is, until Sargent Cory's little surprise opened up on the final squad. A single line of command detonated mines (claymores) activated "killing" more than half the ennemy squad. Only two of the Opfor troopers escaped the ambush and both we're taken out by Harry and Sam with Sim'd battle rifles as the "opfor" troopers went by.

"I can't believe we won that" Said harry as he and Sam jogged down from their emplacement towards the group.

A terse "Well Done." From the sargent was all they got as they moved off to prep. for the next "combat mission beginning in ten minutes.

For the last several hours, the CKS Shogun Ieto had been exchanging dozens of messages with a Kagetorian outpost north of ASD. The outpost, codenamed Wu in honor of the famous homeland of Sun Tzu, had recently been the point of buildup for the invasion. 5 divisions of KTAF-S had been stationed there, with another 15 divisions of KTAF regulars ready to reinforce the elite divisions. All of the soldiers in the regulars had been pulled from groups who trained in Siberia, to maximize fighting efficiency in the freezing climate of DaWoad.

Present, Edge of DaWoad Territorial Waters

Turning to his commanding officer, Captain Ashida announced, "Prince Inari, the KTAF-S Divisions have just taken off from Wu."

"Excellent. Deploy fighters from all Tojo Class Carriers to provide air cover for the paratroopers, and I want the Tokugawa Class' fighters to rotate in 2 shifts, providing a fighter screen for the fleet."

"Yes sir."

"When the KTAF-S fly over our fleet, I want the Mimasens to begin bombardment with Tomahawk cruise missiles to disable as many anti-air emplacements as possible. The Donjons are to wait for my order to begin bombardment."

Near Wu

50,000 KTAF-S soldiers were in the air, flying towards the DaWoad coast. In about 20 minutes, they would jump and begin the fight of their lives.

"ALERT ALERT ALERT" Scremed a lieutenant as radar, IR and heat Sensors were tripped by a massive airforce seemingly headed directly for the ASD.

"Inbound Airgroup," Replied a captain more carefully. "We are getting reports of a possible fleet componant as well. Apparently they're comming in from the North."

"Shit!" Exclaimed Commandant lewis as he ran down the stairs into the main command room. "Who's the highest rankin--"

"Sir, you are sir." Replied Captain Jules following him down the stairs. "Your orders?"

"Alright" Said Lewis then paused. "Scramble available Air units immediatly. We need to get a better count ASAP. Their only possile target up north is blue Cove, get them ready now! have the stationary defenses go active as well but try to keep them as low profile as possible."

"Sir, We've got a problem." Said jules looking up from a report. "Available airpower is limited. Our interceptors are running combat excercises to the south. All we have are aproxametly 200 Interceptors, 20 Awaks and around 500 strike fighters assigned directly to Blue Cove. They'rte the only ones that can get into range in time."

"What about fleet power?" asked lewis Dreading the answer.

"Limited also." Said Jules "We have crew for around 40 missile attack ships and a single Sword Class. The others are still undertrained. They can crew their ships but no way in hell can they fight em."

"Now thats not good." Lewis looked Troubled. "ok what can they do with Blue cove?"

"Well sir," Replied Jules. "They can essentially cut us off from our civillian traffic they can also use it as a staging point for a river based invasion. That seaway runs into New Haven itself. If they capture it and we can't get it back quickly we're in deep trouble."

"Alright send up the flyboys. Call all available units and send the Tenth Legion and the DSAS out ASAP." Said Lewis. "We need to evac all available Civillian and none fightable units down the seaway. Keep the fighters, Fleet units and troops in close to blue cove."

"Aye aye SIR!" Replied the room as orders began streaming out of the ASDC.

"by the way," Said Lewis. "We need to figure out who these people are. Warn our allies etc. I know we can't expect help anytime soon but do it anyways."

"On it Lew." Said jules as she left the room.

Blue Cove
"Red Alert Red Alert Scramble Scramble Scramble." Wailed the alarm As troops ran to meet up points and ships throughout the massive Naval facility. Already Civilian craft and Two large Carriers wear heading down the Seaway in towards centeral ASD.

"What the hell?" Asked Harry as he and Sam ran down a narrow hall to their meet point. "This isn't a drill."

Seconds later his thoughts were confirmed.

"Ok people." Said Sargent Cory." This is no drill. Draw weapons from the armory and move to prepared positions. Reinforcements are on the way but they won't be here for quite some time. So prep yourselves for one hell of a fight."

"Shit!" Whispered Sam As the Squad ran for the Armory.

Rapid Response Force
Planes wear scrambling off the Runway at blue cove. the first Squadron of 20 Hawk-1 Interceptors and a single AWAKS lead by Lieutenant Wallace green sent off a quick message to the oncoming "hostile" forces.
"You are nearing ASD'ian Waters with apparently Hostile Intent. Declare your intentions! NOW!"

Tenth Legion
"Oh come on!" Complied Colonel Charly Wilkins Bitterly as he recieved the priority move order. "Another drill? We we're doing just fine before Lewis kicked this off he should nknow better than to --"

"No sir," Replied Captain Silvia. "We've got an inbound hostile force. Sir we are being ordered to bluecove immediatly."

"Oh hell!" Said Charly. "Get our boys buttoned up and on the move ASAP! go go go!"

DSAS
"The hell?" Asked Major Anthony Bishop. "An immediate deploy within the ASD?"

"Yes Sir," Replied Flying Sargent Chev Holmes. "To blue Cove Priority red."

"Red but that means--" Started Bishop then caught himself. "Ok immediate deploy tell them our ETA is three hours. Any other reinforcements on the way?"

"yes sir the tenth. We're the only two good to go on such short notice. I'd assume First Army Group is gearing up as well, their closest but none of the Army groups we're spared in training. Its gonna take em a day or two at least just to group to move." Said Holmes.

"Alright." Replied Bishop. "We'll do what we can."

Sirens Wailed In hundreds of emplacements across the northern ASD. Troops, primarily reserves, Ran to arm weapons and to man radar screens and control computers. They we're the primary defense given the ASD's lack of mobile force readiness amnd they knew it. First one, then another then nearly the whole set we're up and running.

CKS Shogun Ieto

"Damn! They're already gearing up their defenses!" grumbled Inari. No matter how much he planned for just that, it still annoyed him. It just made his job that much more difficult. Looking out the starboard window, he saw the 36 Mimasen Class Destroyers beginning to shoot off Tomahawk cruise missiles at Blue Cove. Inspiration struck him then.

"Get the cruisers to concentrate fire on enemy airfields! The fewer pilots they have in the air, the easier our job will be!"

A few moments later, and the 15 cruisers began unleashing their own volleys, using satellite imaging to target airfields and airports.

2nd and 3rd Squadrons

The 2nd and 3rd Squadrons, comprised of Ookami 35's from the CKS Minamoto, were the first groups to receive the message from the ASD RRF.

Immediately, the 2nd Squadron got numerous locks on the interceptors, and a dozen AA-8 'Aphids' released from their external bays. The 3rd Squadron followed up the attack with a barrage of their own Aphids. The opening shots pretty clearly relayed their intent to kill.

13th KTAF-S Division

Sgt. Takai was an able soldier, and he knew it. All of the KTAF-S members knew it. They were the best of the best, arguably on par with the Shogun's personal guard. Clutching his Ashigaru Type 89 to his chest, he started muttering in a quiet prayer to no deity in particular. He was being dropped in Deathground, and the entire division knew it.

Outside of the Globemaster, he could hear the roar of the engines and the whooshing noises created by the Ookami 22's and 35's. He shuddered imagining the effects of a collision.

The lieutenant at the door started waving his arms, and although no one could hear him, they all knew he was saying, "GO GO GO!"

Jumping out of the Globemaster, Takai saw streaks of cruise missiles and aircraft all around, and hundreds of his comrades falling to the earth, pulling at their chutes to ensure they opened. Pulling at his own handle, Takai felt a sudden jerk as his velocity slowed. Looking down, he was just hoping that none of his blood would be missing when he hit the ground.

Frederickson prompty drops his cigar as he looks out the window. "What in the name of God is going on there?" He says to himself as Uran runs up to him, "Sir! Apparently some conflict is going on over there." Frederickson looks at Uran and says, "Really? I thought it was an airshow." He rolls his eyes and enters the bridge to radio if the contingent of four Tenex Class Cruisers were accounted for.

"Alright men, we are going to keep a close observation on what is going on here. Hopefully we can learn some of their battle strategies in this tactical SNAFU." Frederickson says on the Radio. The Leviathan's Phalanx Anti-Air/Missile Batteries are prepped, and the THEL Anti-Missile Laser system is also readied. "Get the Railguns charged up as well, just in case." Frederickson orders (if you don't allow Railguns for ships in this RP, then just assume they are modern 18-inchers.) The Cruisers also fuel up their Torrent-Class Anti-Ship Missiles, as well as readying their Viper Anti-Air Missiles.

Blue Cove
"Shit They're in range and oppening fire," Scremed a sargent as the first IR flashes appeared.

"Fine" Replied the base commander "All units return fire."

That order Unleashed the ASD'ian forces. Or, what there was of them

RRF
Interceptors broke formation, Launching countermeasures and returning fire. Interceptors, all 200 of them launched full salvos 4 missiles apeice of longrange Air-air missiles and they were targeting the ennemy fighters. 800 longrange AA missiles streaked out and the Interceptors hit afterburners attempting to close with the ennemy as ASD'ian Planes began to fall out of the sky trailling flames.

Strike Fighters did something different. they launched a single salvo then turned AWAY going for broke back towards Central ASD and safe haven As ennemy missiles began to impact the airfields.Three hundred and twenty two Strike Fighters got off the airbases before the ennemy T-Lams struck the airfields. Another 43 got away as countermissiles knocked ennemyattack missiles out of the ski. unfortunatly the Stationary defense commanders had been thinking that the ennemy would target them first and we're not prepared for alternate targets. The 365 Strike fighters launched entirely against the ennemy transport planes and ships 2 Air-sea cruise missiles and 6 Air-air missiles apiece made for a formidible volley and hopefully would cover their tracks as they dashed for safety.

"DAMN!" Yelled Flying Corporal mack as he dodged a single ennemy AA missile. he was one of the incoming interceptors and had managed to survive the initial ennemy AA volley. "Ok boys he said taking command of the now 4 plane squadron. We have to buy the strikes time to get outta dodge."

Navy
the fourty missile attack boats and single battle cruiser were no match at all for the ennemy fleet but they we're gonna try and take as manny as they could with them.

"Sorry to say it kids," Said Captain Vance over fleet wide communications. "But the civies and our new recruits haven't managed to get out od dodge yet and if those bastards out there begin launching Sea-sea missiles at the cove We're going to be looking at an utter massacre. That means we Have to buy them some time. God speed."

The small knot of ships Steamed for the cove entrance at high speed ignoring the ongoing air battle above.

Emplaced defenses
Really the biggest threat to the ennemy at this point were the emplaced defenses but they,m for the moment we're staying quiet. They would wait for the ennemy to get as close as possible before launching in hopes of keeping their presence camouflaged. They had been sitewell. Most with very few componants above ground making sattelite detection tricky but once they opened fire they'd become prime targets. As they watch ennemies begin to jump out of transport planes, though the emplaced defenders knew they couldn't wait too long.

Myrmidons
'Holy--" Sam was cut off by the pounding of a stray Tomahawk detonating against a nearby boathouse. The Bunker collapsed into rubble and where there had been a civilian family waiting untying a small boat there was now only pieces of wood and stone and fire.

"look up" whipered harry As the first ennemy parachutes opened. "Sargent do we?"

"No wait," She replied and it was evident why a second later when three squads positioned on the rooves of nearby building opened fire with heavy machine guns their yellow tracers sweaping up at the ennemy parachutes andthose troops hanging from them. three more squads nearby opened up on on a second stick and in a third location a machine gunner opened fire briefly at a parachute stick that was clearly out of range.

"ok" Said the Sargent over the radio. "Ready yourselves"

"SITREP! Now!" Said Lewis Above the Chaos. General Cal Bishop Had arrived ten minutes ago but was busy attempting to rally the airforce into getting ready as soon as possible and had left lewis in command."

"Sir," Things aren't looking good." Said Jules. "The ennemy have badly damaged or destroyed all 5 air facilities and two civilian Airports both of which had, thankfully, been evacuated. Our 200 Interceptors are down to 165 and there are only three hundred odd Strike Fighters in the air. The civilian evacuation is not complete and the first ennemy airdrop is inbound as we speak."

"Emplaced defenses?" Asked lewis

"So far untargeted and holding firethere have not yet been any significan casualities to them, the navy or the Myrmidons." She said Calmly acting as lewis' XO.

"Fine" he said. "General Troop readiness?"

"unchanged. DSAS are on their way and the Tenth just began rolling everyone else is trying to regroup and General Samsons onsite at the first army Group and is trying to speed up the process. Bishops doing the same thing on the airforce side but without usable airfields in the area . . ."

"Yah I know," Replied Lewis. "Make sure we get tankers up to help those Strike fighters out once they get over friendly skies." He stared down at the map. "This isn't good."

With an overly exasperated hand wave, Inari simply replied, "Divert some fighters currently in reserve to finish off the meager defenses."

"Yes sir, reserves moving to engage ASD craft."

Blue Cove Airspace

The first volley of missiles impacted the wave of Ookami 22's and 35's. One advantage of fighting over your enemy's soil, was that all downed planes landed in their territory, essentially becoming non-purposeful kamikazes. The ASD missiles cost the 700 fighters nearly 15% casualties, largely weeding out the most junior of the pilots who failed to use chafe and flares.

As the 100 or so pilots nosedived into the bay and surrounding area, their remaining comrades fired what remained of their missiles. Nearly 1,500 more missiles flew out of the many bays on the fighters, with multiple missiles targeting most of the Interceptors.

Blue Cove Dropzones

The first KTAF-S had already hit the ground and begun firefights with the Myrmidons and local enforcement(?) teams. Sgt. Takai wasn't so lucky. Looking off to his right, he saw one of his squadmates clutching at his neck, where presumably a bullet had gone through. Unfortunately, the bullet had missed the man's brain, and now he had to bleed to death.

Looking down, he could see tracers marking the positions of machine gun emplacements. With a quick eye-estimate, Takai assumed he was within range. With practiced ease, he pulled a fragmentation grenade from one of his chest pockets, and a smoke from another. Pulling the pins on both, he threw them at the nearest gun emplacement. The frag, if aimed right, would create a shower of shrapnel over the gunners, with nearly no risk to Kagetorian soldiers. The smoke, regardless of where it hit, would probably cause some confusion. The smoke grenades issued to the KTAF-S were unusual in that they not only released smoke, but also tear gas. The KTAF-S were all wearing gas masks, so they were all but ensured of protection.

Navy Forces
"Shit their deploying reserves sir, heading our way." Said The Captain of the ASDS Avenger (the single battlecruiser in this whole mess :0). "Okay flush all missiles and open fire with the big guns. Lets see if we can't deal at least some damage to them before we get destroyed."

All 41 ships followed that order to the letter. The ships began vollying missiles in a massive wave as the two massive guns on the Avenger opened fire. 3200 Missiles launched, then launched again ten seconds later to be followed by a third volley shortly after. And that wasnt the worst of it for the ennemy. That being said, in order to launch those volleys the Strikes had given up all but their CWIS in terms of anti missile defence and they we're wide open to the counterattack sure to be comming.

Fixed defenses
The five hundred emplacements opened fire as one with the small "Fleet". Knowing they'd only get one shot the emplaced defenses Fired off all six of their Cardinal class Seaskimmers. The best but most expensive weapon in their arsenal, the cardianl was a seaskimmer capable of rudimentary countermissile avoidance.As the missiles burned away from the defenses heading out to sea, 400mm guns openedfire on any and all available Naval targets. The last thing in the sequence of fire was Anti-air and 8 SM-4 Extended Range burned off the rails towards the massive ennemy airforce. That cleared the rails and was clearly to late to help the RRF interceptors who we're, as the guns fired, burning in the sky.

"Oh." Said Corporal Mack as the threat detector on his HUD went haywire. "Not good."

He reached between his legs and yanked the red handle righ there activating the ejection seat and punching him out of the plane just seconds before 7 seperate missiles litterally disintegrated his plane. Others, more brave or perhaps more stupid, returned fire sending a weak 200 missilke volley back into the face of the thousand+ ennemy missiles. They payed for the volley with their lives, though as all but two of the ASD'ian Interceptors we're wiped from the sky by ennemy fighters. Of the two interceptors one got clean away and with suicidal Bravery launched his final two Anti-Air missiles before Diving for the deck. the other interceptor was damaged, the pilot barely conscious and she simply yanked the ejection handle as the plane began to spin out of control.

The Strike Fighters were still Speeding away from the carnage but more than a few of the pilots there looked over their shoulder and uttered a simple prayer for the safety of the fighters who had bought them much needed time to get out of the ennemies engagement radius.


Myrmidons
"Oh shit," muttered sam for about the third time as yet another of the machinegun nests was obscured in smoke followed shortly by a short blast of a frag grenade going off. The third Squad, Alpha force, of the Myrmidons had stilll not opened fire despite the Fact that the battle between the myrmidons and the ennemy force hads now begun in ernest. In prepared positionsd through out the city Myrmidons we're fighting and dieing, the dull Crack of sniper rifles, the chatter of semi automatic weapons fire and the thud of command detonated mines all payed testament to the battle.

"Ok" Whispered the sargent over the radio. "Report just in, the civilians are out of the immediate area of dange the forward forces, whats left of em we'll be moving to baker positions./ We'll have a fight on our hads soon boys so prepare yourselves. We're getting reports of gas so after your first shot get those masks on got it"

"Aye aye m'am" Came the muttered replies over the com.

Throughout Blue cove the same scene repeated itself. The five hundred odd Marines who were currently engaged in combat and had survived the initial ennemy landings popped some and abbandoned positions heading south. Few few, cut off or unable to retreat continued to fire on the ennemies but we're soon silenced by ennemy fire and grenades.
