They also have some of the best detection software and facilities giving them ample warning to evacuate or to hunker down. The Lemonsky Ministry of Government Security, the MGS has captured some of the agents. They were tortured, and told their allegiance to the XCOM Federation, and in cities where there were detonations, which killed many civilians, the agents were hanged. The Lemonsky Air Force, in retaliation to this aggression, bombed the missile test pads. Colonel Grebenyuik of the Air Force said: Let these pigs know, that intervening on our land, will result in utter and total destruction. If the XCOM Federation does not back down, they will face the full wrath of the Eastern Pact.

The Lemonsky Armed Forces began mobilization, and sent the 17th Army to the border, consisting of 35 divisions. The Forces at the border were organized into the Navodny Front, named after the Lemonsky Province of Navodny, which is under XCOM occupation for a long time. Also, the J'allasti Allyrjia Province, has been under the oppression of the XCOM Federation for many years. The Lemonsky Air Force began combat patrols and Missile Defense systems were readied. They were ready to shoot down intruders.

The flight of aircraft were intercepted on their way back and 4 were shot down before the rest made it back across the border where the interceptors were ordered to return to base as not to infringe on Lemonsky's border. The pilots managed to eject and were captured by the border guards. That is when they found out about the reason.The people of the federation were outrage in the government for not stopping this attack and letting the lemonsky airforce penetrate their airspace. Commander Bradford and Covert Operations today come out denying all involvement in the attack. Stating that the men responsible are members of the Iron guard faction a hard right extremist group and it is because of the unwarranted aggression by the Lemonsky government that provoked them to attack. They also stated that the civilian death toll was widely exaggerated to stir up resentment between the two nations from the reports made my eyewitnesses and camera footage. The country has now been raised to Defense Readiness two a no fly zone have been put across the whole bother prohibiting both XCOM and Lemonsky aircraft from flying through. Anti air emplacements and fortifications now line the border as XCOM sends 2 Mechanized division and 3 infantry divisions to man the fortifications. The XCOM Government will not back down from the border as they are falsely accused by the lemonsky leadership. They however are willing to trade two of the pilots to open diplomatic channels and resolve this crisis peacefully.
A nuclear drill was also conducted to gauge the response and readness of the populace and missile defense shield. The results were excellent with a 87% efficiency rate in combat simulations. Several more squadrons are deployed to the region. Civillian population centres are evacuated to prevent civilian casualties if a war really breaks out.
