The Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) is the United Commonwealths'-led expeditionary force which consists of, as necessary, its member states.

The creation of the JEF was announced in July 2017 by the then Defense Secretary, Sir Archibald Longstein.

The United Commonwealths' element of the JEF consists of personnel and equipment from the U.C. Navy, U.C. Army and U.C. Air Force and is designed to provide greater levels of integration than previously achieved especially when combined with other nations' armed forces.

The multinational JEF was publicly launched as a C6-based initiative at the September 2014 Wealdstone Summit, subsumed under the new “Framework Nations Concept” rubric. The Albion-led agreement was formed to act as framework nations for groups of Allies coming together to work multi-nationally for the joint development of forces and capabilities required by C6.

In July the Albionite Defence Secretary Sir Archibald Longstein also announced the signature of a Letter of Intent between the participating nations, to establish the JEF so that it is fully operational before the end of 2017.

Whilst we intend to respond to a variety of issues, I think the greatest issue at the moment is the developing situation in San Montagna and Athara's war on terror.

Looks like after the threat of Volkegoth/Mik/C6/myself/everyone else ... he's caved and begun to fight back against SHOCK. Which actually, may play into our hands.

Athara's war on terror could be an opening for further JEF involvement. I'm quite happy to discuss the possibility of JEF reinforcements/support to Athara as he combats SHOCK on his turf.

I'm happy to begin suggest we provide logistical support, intelligence gathering and tactical strikes - I'm sure we'd be able to provide air bases and naval ports in Albion (Wellsia, I hope you could lend an airbase or two as well ...)

But don't feel I am telling people what to do - far from it, I'm just trying to get the ideas-ball rolling.

I can offer a port and a modest airbase in Blanchard, which is the closest to AM.

Other than military action, J.E.F. can send humanitarian aid to areas affected by the conflict for the civvies.

Currently SHOCK are busy hijacking civilian ships...for selling shiploads of drugs and buying guns and bombs and recruits (aka brainwashed children from Arvan brought by human traffickers to name a few), etc.

Intriguing ... so JEF should primarily secure the Mesder and crack down on piracy operations.

Yep. They have already hijacked the Keomoran civilian vessel Kai Tang and Segentova would soon do a news of his civilian ship being hijacked and fired upon by his navy.

Also AM lacks adequate resources to search for such hijacked ships...but Jrm Hangma wants to do so. Therefore she would most likely ask JEF a favor in this one.

Okay, I assume it would make sense to request a few JEF ships to help patrol your section of the Mesder then?

Who fancies contributing some ships to a JEF operation?

I hace eight Valennshia class frigates, with a top speed of 47 knots. I also have a number of knights willing and trade to sieze and search cargo ships.

Are we talking military action in AM or San Montagna. Also Covonant can provide shipa to patrol the Mesder in fact its already being done we would just place the operations under JEF.

Aye, think it'll be good to be able to label it as something more unified and coordinated. We're discussing AM at the moment, I suggest some form of action ... it could be direct military (boots on the ground), indirect (provide intelligence for AM/allied air strikes) or purely logistical/humanitarian.

Actually like Samudera condemned the attacks on Kachee, I am waiting for more nations (likely CU nations or other democratic peaceful guys) to condemn that move.

This will force Jrm Hangma and others to focus more on mainland AM. Like I said, almost everyone believes SHOCK is present heavily in AM only (most of the news by other nations say so...but it is not the case actually). Focusing on AM means that SHOCK will grow in other areas of the Isles.

This is all being connected. The one who planned this is all is in Covonant currently. SHOCK is focusing more in Mesder currently (i.e. San Montagna and AM) to give the image that they are heavily concentrated there while slowly gaining membership in nations like Samudera and places like Arvan.

In the end of High Life RP that Ainslie and Samudera started, SHOCK will show up at the climax.

This is kind of an Iraq situation for us. We're using AM to blame our terrorist attacks on and we need to keep up a presence and actively be "winning" but the war is going to turn badly. Maybe JEF could join operations with us but then slowly pull out in the months ahead as casualties mount and we'd be left holding the bag

An Iraq situation would be interesting to RP in - though if JEF were to slowly pull out we would lose face over such an incident...

I am going to pull out when it is discovered that certain provinces have been selling weapons to SHOCK. That discovery will cause something of a civil war, which will require me to withdraw.
