Well, yes, yes you are. The purpose of an RP is to create an enjoyable story, not to 'win'. I am a much more experienced RPer than yourself, and -with danger of sounding unmodest- am much more skilled at it.

Anyway, from a tactical standpoint that plain is the only point of invasion that will allow you to put to shore large numbers of troops and tanks.
