Army report.
The Marauder Tank platform despite its age continues to be an effective fighting vehicle however I am concerned that we have too few in our inventory. We should also look at potential upgrade packages to ensure the platform continues to be a capable tool in our arsenal. A complete overhaul addressing some of the issues the machine would have facing more modern armour would be expensive, but, it would likely be an option worth pursuing. Nonetheless, in the meantime our factories have begun initiating full production of the Marauder once more. We should see the first vehicles roll off the line within the month.
The Mauler IFV has shown great promise however, it has also shown great unreliability. There are a lot of pieces of brand new hardware in this machine and I am worried that our engineering teams have "bitten off more than they can chew" so to speak. Nonetheless, when the Mauler is operating without issue, and its "modular" systems are not infuriating our teams, the potential of the vehicle shines through. I am very much looking forward to seeing this machine when its flaws are ironed out.
The Demon LRV. Sir, we need to get supercar manufacturers to produce light military vehicles more often. The Demon may drink fuel, (I am certainly grateful for the large fuel tank) but, the sheer pace and handling is simply unrivalled. I have had the fortune to personally drive one of these at full speed through the twisting gravel paths through our great forests and I was so smitten I negotiated the purchase of an unarmed example for myself the very next day. My daughter also wants one, as does my wife. The troops are similarly enthused despite giving it the nickname "Boneshaker". I strongly recommend we produce as many of these as we possibly can and perhaps even encourage Furiozo to make a civilian model. They would genuinely sell.
Air force report.
Tsunami production is reaching expected targets, Aerovellum have gotten their third and fourth production facilities online and we are now able to equip a further squadron with this aircraft much to their approval. However, while the Tsunami is currently the most advanced vehicle our air force can deploy at this time, it lags behind some of the larger nation's efforts in many ways. Research and development of a new advanced air superiority aircraft is ongoing however the two present competing designs, IE, the Striker and the Rapier at this time are nowhere near flight ready, let alone combat ready.
Additionally, the Diplomat bombers and the tanker variant. Work on their airframes is becoming increasingly difficult. There is only so long you can keep such aircraft in the air. While these aircraft are still perfectly airworthy for the time being, I strongly recommend we being work on a replacement before they are no longer operable with any degree of acceptable safety.
Finally, I will finish this segment of the report discussing the "new" ground attack plane based on a Kerbal States' great war aircraft. I understand the modification was the idea of one of ours. I would very much personally like to meet this kerbal, provided of course he is safely secured within a padded room. It is nothing short of madness to fit a 30mm rotary cannon to such an aircraft, however, I cannot deny its effectiveness, nor can I deny the laughter of the test pilot upon firing the weapon at simulated targets.
Navy report.
I am sure the launch of the ANS Majestic, the first of hopefully many Majestic Class cruisers has not gone unnoticed considering the media frenzy. People are right to be proud though, especially given that this is the first vessel produced entirely by Avellum since the time of strife. I toured this vessel personally and I honestly can say she lives up to her name perfectly. The trade with Kerthenia has allowed us to drastically improve the quality of our missile and point defence systems. With all the ordinance this vessel can put accurately onto a target, I can safely say that I would not want to be on any hostile vessel anywhere near her. We have constructed a true ship killer here.
These weapon system improvements have also been applied to the ANS Relentless making her also a far more dangerous vessel. I think the only time I have ever seen Captain Reginald smile was when he saw the newly refitted destroyer. I can certainly see why he was smiling. She truly is a sight to behold now. We have also acquired the hull of a great war carrier, again from Kerbal States. The "Sophie". We have not changed her name due to the bad luck associated with doing so. I was initially unsure if we could get her properly seaworthy and combat worthy, however, our engineers have so far done a fantastic job. She should be undergoing trials in just a few days. We were also able to quickly manufacture some VTOL aircraft from existing prototypes and designs. ANS Sophie will be equipped with twenty Kestrel VTOLs. It would be downright embarrassing if we had a carrier yet had nothing to launch from it if I do say so myself.
And thus concludes my report. A word of advice though Mr Prime Minister, these refits while finding success and certainly giving us a far enhanced capability to defend ourselves in this ever tense global environment, however it has stretched our military budget to its absolute limit, even with the influx of additional capital available by the joining of SECT and it's subsequent economic boons.
