Vung Tau Navy base, Vietnam sector, IF
Admiral Prem Tavade looked out from the command deck of the Oceana. The inside of the bridge resembled what most would consider a starship banks o computers displaying various navigational charts, weather forecasts and other information. THe real heart of the ship was several decks below his feat in CIC and all flight operations were being carried out from the rear light tower. Locking out in front he saw one of several sister ships to the Oceana, the Federation. Below him the sleek shape of the main AGS sat at rest with rows of vls tubes stretching across the deck. The Benegal and the Malaca were also there but they were being held back in reserve with the Riau in fleet exercises. No point in sending all of the Assault carriers to what was looking to be a minor squabble. Prem walked over to the side where the bridge over hanged slightly. Looking down he saw the end of the flight decks and the trimaran hull sloping gracefully into the water. Almost every single pier was taken up by a destroyer, battlecruiser, frigate or otherwise belonging to the battlegroups of the various carriers. Looking once more around him at the various officers and ensigns in crisp uniforms. Looking down at his watch he saw they had still several hours left before departure. He had time for one more look over the ship. Saluting the two marines standing guard at the blast doors, Prem briskly walked through the doors exchanging greetings with various crew members as he passed. and into the spotless, stark white hallway and took a left down a hallway, taking the stairs down before walking out on the deck. As he walked out of the doorway a stiff breeze washed over him. Locking up the radar spire streatched up into the sky turning around to the flight bridge. Walking towards it Prem took pride in his command.

Four hours later
What seemed like a veritable armada of tugs had come into the harbor to guide the behemoths out, it was hours before the all the fleet was assembled. Then the fleet set out for war. Time to arrival 2 weeks

Something was wrong with the admiral, he wasn't himself. Those missiles that the Artherians had fired had never been near anthrax. But then it hit First Officer James Elvis like a freight train. Chicago never declared war and Chicago never sent the launch codes for the kinetic strike. The Admiral was waging his own war. So FO James Elvis secretly radioed the rest of the ships that they were about to turn anound. Then James arrested the admiral, relieved him of his duty, and confined him to his quarters. Then the now admiral radioed everybody involved.

This is First Officer James Elvis of the Artherian Navy, we have wrongly attack those involved in this. We apologize and our government will pay for the damages to your ships. So, your all wondering why were packing our bags, well, this is an unauthorized war on our part. We will be leaving as a neutral force. Please do not fire on the Artherian Fleet. We will now leave and head back to our home port.

One Day Later.......
The time had come. The Artherian Navy was leaving. They left behind 50 Men and Women. Their families would get a nock at the door. When they answered it, it would be a Navy officer and a Chaplain. They would get a letter. The Chaplain would stay while the officer left. They came because a family member had died. First Officer James knew this, and he felt guilty. The Navy left the Harbor and began the long, sad trek home.

International Waters, Northeast of Newfoundland (this is thousands of Km out, essentially the halfway point).
Werther Carrier Group, TECT Imperial Navy.
Operation: Cold Stone.

Crawled by another day did while traveling the grand blue, the Sun's rays dipping further and further down as if curtain call were mere moments away. Slowly but surely the Sun was barely visible, leaving only blinding orange rays as it hid behind an endless wall of water. The cool breeze turned into freezing chills as the Sun's warmth retreated farther away. Only the sounds of crashing waves, gusts of wind, and military aircraft pervaded the air for those who're listening - which oddly enough seemed to be the only signs of life in a desert like environment that is open ocean. Deafening silence was overcame by the noise of jets landing and launching, helicopters making their rounds, and occasional chatter on-deck many a ship that weren't carried away by the whimsical sea.

Admiral Eric Stroman, or rather Fleet Admiral Eric Stroman now, was a sour old man who became the Empire's latest wartime commanders. Often called "the Beast" behind his back, he was well known for having a thick brown beard that was now quickly turning more gray by the day; his choice of long hair and naturally hairy exterior reinforced his image as a wild beast. Crew members first started calling him the Beast not because of his hairy exterior but because of his aggressive personality. Unlike many tough no-nonsense taking Imperial Naval officers, Stroman was the type of man who took no shit from anyone and wasn't afraid to dish out any when he thought it was necessary. According to many rumors, Stroman has earned plenty of reprimands for giving higher ranked officers "a piece of his mind" - no filter included; one infamous rumor told of Stroman actually telling off the late Emperor Charles II for some perceived mistake he made - bad mouthing the Emperor is often an offense worthy of being court marshaled, or worse. Apparently it was this "takes no shit attitude" that earned Stroman respect from many commanders, even the Emperor who he had bad mouthed apparently respected him.

Stroman was always the type of commander who preferred aggressive strategies and never accepted loss very well; even in friendly wargames he would take everything too seriously and refuse to under-perform anyone. That was, however, the man everyone knew decades ago, the man that is said to be wanted internationally for war crimes and is brave enough to give an Emperor a piece of his mind. Stroman had aged considerably since then, becoming more physically fragile and losing his youthful glow. The once brawny former fisherman that wasn't afraid to get in your face had become a skinny old man who was still unafraid of getting in anyone's face - still had a foul mouth on him too. What he lacked in brawn he made up for with his sharp tongue and intellect. Over his forty year career Stroman acquired many frontline experiences, learned many lessons the hard way, and became a scholar of war worthy of any university bookworm in the capital. His obsession with never losing meant everything to him, and in war that means never facing defeat on the battlefield. Everything had to be perfect or else you'd earn a "Stroman Classical Tongue Lashing" for incompetence. This bitter old man wasn't a patriot fighting for the Empire nor was he an officer in search of fame - he was a competitive warrior determined to love lose fight.

Stroman stared at his old mechanical watch, trusting its ability to track time better than the electronically displayed clocks surrounding him; one clock on the tablet in front of him, several screens around him displayed the time, and even the augmented reality windows surrounding the Bridge displayed the time here-and-there. According to calculations, the Werther Carrier Group would reach the halfway point between their home port and Newfoundland in just a few minutes; if Stroman had been less stubborn he could have simply viewed his location live, wait for the timer he had already pre-set to remind the fleet of "Phase One" of the Operation, or just went ahead and began Phase One a few minutes early. The stubborn old goat sat in a comfortable chair within INS Werther's Bridge, overlooking the Bridge's STDS'. It was relatively quiet on the Bridge with exception of the communications section who's officer was standing at the STDS expecting new orders any minute; it was probably the last down time crew would get before the operation began. The Flight Deck Operations Center was likely still noisy considering air traffic had never ceased since departure - in a few minutes it would become far more busy as the operation entered its first phase. A few minutes passed by and it was finally time. A small alarm was echoing on tablet laying on Stroman's lap, signaling to the communications officer standing beside the Fleet Admiral that it was time to get to his post immediately. The Captain of the INS Werther, sitting close-by with his own tablet in hand, also prepared for the barrage of orders that would be coming his way. Stroman quickly shut off the annoying alarm and, like the overachieving hardass he was, tapped "send" on communication tab displayed on his tablet; said communication tab was a laundry list of orders Stroman had already written down ready to send out to his subordinates, although the fleet had already been briefed on the operation's details before departure, so the go-ahead was what most officers were waiting for. Although the Captain received the encrypted message like everyone else, Stroman still turned to him to give the orders directly. He didn't have to, but Stroman was a firm believer that officers should hand down orders in person to their subordinates if they're present.

"Captain." He began with hoarse voice. "We are entering phase one of this operation. Extend CAP to four hundred kilometers and increase its flight count from three to eight flights. There is to be no window of downtime for AWACS over this fleet. Period. And draft up a second AWACS rotation and put them on standby from this moment onward."

"Yes Admiral." the Captain, a fairly younger man by the name of Jakob Sander replied as if had been rehearsing.

After quickly typing up his orders to the Flight Deck Operations Center the Captain turned back knowing there were more orders to be handed down.

"Next we're extending our formation. Add about ten kilometers distance for our escorts. We are increasing our anti-submarine efforts starting now - aircraft continue their scanning for submarines on our starboard and port sides. Inform our submarine forces to extend their formation further to one hundred kilometers for screening purposes - if we can't get in touch with them they're to hunt hostile warships in their prepared charted areas. Finally, we're deactivating all civilian transponders from this moment onward, aircraft included - I don't want their shitty traffic controllers blowing our cover."

The Captain was writing down orders as fast as he was getting them, much like a courtroom reporter recording every conversation. But he felt something had been forgotten. "What of the Legionnaires?"

"What about them?" Stroman sounded briefly annoyed.

"Should we begin prepping them now? They should be handing down briefings sooner rather than later."

"They can handle their briefings whenever they like - it doesn't concern us. Brief them on our end of things whenever you think is best. I suppose it's better now rather than later."

"Im guessing you're not a fan of them. The Legionnaires I mean." the Captain was curious about the Fleet Admiral's animosity towards them. Stroman may have been a navy man but he didn't have anything against the other branches; he's rarely worked with the Imperial Army, the Imperial Air Force wasn't too rare of a sight to him, and the Royal Guard Marines were practically siblings in terms of Branch Services, so of course they were a common sight among Imperial Navy folks. Imperion? Imperion Coalition's Foreign Legion? Two bodies he's rarely had the pleasure of working with. Stroman wasn't exactly the most relaxed around foreigners (though some of them were Commoner obviously) and he didn't put money on soldiers he's never worked with before, but if they were anything like the Commoner Foreign Legion they would prove themselves on the battlefield. Foreigners or not, those crazy bastards earned their right to be called Commoner - Stroman would chew out anyone with a differing opinion he respected them so highly.

"I simply don't trust something I've not seen in action, Captain - the lack of a combat record is unnerving to say the least. You don't trust the taste of a dish until you've tried it, right? Well for an old man like me, I can't trust soldiers who've yet to prove themselves on a battlefield."

"Right..." the Captain replied with disregard in his tone. Although the Fleet Admiral made some fair points, it was already pretty well known he was xenophobic - something his track record in the military proved fairly often. It was better to not question it, regardless if you had a point to make or not. Pissing off a Fleet Admiral, especially a grouchy old man, wasn't the best idea if you're concerned with your career. "I'll pass along the orders for Lieutenant Colonel Jochim Hinrichs' men to be briefed on our side of things."

"Fine with me." Stroman got up from his seat and began walking towards the door out of the Bridge. "Next time though, either give me a rebuttal or don't include the condescending tone. Officers looking to watch for their career's landing piss me off the most." with that the Fleet Admiral walked off before the Captain even had time to respond.

"Aye aye... sir."

Archelan Commonwealth Recon Response Force
HMS Astute (S119) - Engrandonican Royal Navy
49km East of the Werther Carrier Group, Underwater

All was quiet above as the calm waves splashed into one another. From the human eye, it looked as if nothing disturbed the water but the wind. It looked like a place where people could relax, or catch some fish from the abyss below. Although looking innocent, this deep ocean, this abyss, was holding one of the Engrandonican Royal Navy's best vessels.

The HMS Astute.

Going at a quiet three knots, the Nuclear-Powered Attack Submarine was doing the best it can to stay quiet. It was not cavitating, and with the addition of the Anechoic tiles all over the hull of the HMS Astute, it absorbed Sonar waves to remain undetected. It was simply made to remain undetected at all times. They were built in response to the Yuktobanian Talisgrad-Class Submarines, but funny enough that they would work together in some operations, like two enemy countries having an uneasy peace to cooperate with each other.

A detachment from the main Archelan Commonwealth Fleet, the HMS Astute was to monitor any fleets that would have been detected. This meant that it would stray away from the main task force, unsupported by anybody but itself. it would have to employ it's stealth to quietly watch the waters above. Right now, the HMS Astute's role was to monitor the situation regarding the small conflict a distance away. This required getting close to fleets that she would stumble upon.

Inside the control room of the submarine, the captain brushed her hair as she listened to noises while wearing her headset. As of right now, the only thing in her head was to detect any presence of a ship. What she was listening to right now, the hum of the ocean as the passive sonar was active, was honestly quite relaxing.

Until there was a quiet sound, a somewhat scratching noise. The computer instantly started processing the information, and the captain ordered the submarine's passive sonar to be switched off. As soon as the computer was done processing the information, the passive sonar was switched off, and the submarine was plunged into silence once again, turning it's bearing to match that of the TECT fleet, as if it was part of the formation.

Getting up quietly, the Captain ordered speed to be decreased to two knots, further concealing the submarine. The single screw at the back of the submarine was barely turning at this point. It turned just barely enough to propel the submarine at the 2 knots the captain had requested. the submarine would continue doing this, monitoring the TECT fleet from a distance away.

OOC: I wanted my next post to include the next phase of the operation, but the OP hasn't gotten back to me about a proper ORBAT of any kind. So until then, or until I take the thread's OP at face value, this will just be a response to Yuktobanian Republic.

International Waters, Northeast of Newfoundland (this is essentially on approach).
Werther Carrier Group, TECT Imperial Navy.
Operation: Cold Stone.

Sleep aboard an Imperial Navy warship was a cherished commodity, much like gold for a kingdom. To compare the two, in an economic boom gold would typically pile up in the treasury it was so plentiful, in a depression, however, gold would become more scarce and treasured. For any member of the crew sleep was simply a commodity; since it's the one time you're not technically on shift for a long period of time, you're basically on free time unless an emergency strikes. In times of war and in combat theaters, shifts become tighter managed and the ship is a hotbed of activity regardless of the time. That's not to say the ship and its crew weren't on alert even in peace time, but knowledge that you're in a warzone on high alert is a heavy weight to shoulder for most people, especially any crew member on their first combat surf. Experienced sailors grow accustomed to this lifestyle though. Sailors either learn to handle the stress or gain enough experience to notice the signs that tell them the appropriate response to certain situation. For example, if you're not on shift and aren't called to man your stations, the situation wasn't that dire; if you're asleep and you're being woken up to man your station, shit was likely about to hit the fan if it hadn't already. Experiences differ for each crew position and their role in the ship's operation.

Being the Fleet Admiral, for example, essentially meant that you were at the tip of the Imperial Navy's war effort in an area of operation; as a special war time rank, having it essentially means you represent your Empire and Emperor on the high seas. It also meant you were the most senior officer in the area of operation and shouldered the responsibility of pretty much everything. The stress of such a position, one that puts you at the helm of an entire war effort, can only be understood by very few. Sleep wasn't a commodity to a Fleet Admiral in at war, it was a privilege.

When Stroman was awoken from his slumber he was both upset and unnerved. Upset by being woken halfway into his sleep rotation and nervous because the fact he was needed on the Bridge meant something potentially serious was happening; in situations like this, the INS Werther's Captain would be the first to approach unless the situation could wait or it was an emergency. Stoman's hike through the ship was met only by few crewman/women, something he felt relief in since if it was an actual emergency, lights would be glaring and a flood of crew would be scrambling to their stations. Regardless, Stroman continued hiking up stairs, fast-walking down narrow hallways, and stepped through cumbersome doors meanwhile dressing himself so he wasn't a complete mess by time he reached the Bridge. When he finally arrived he was met by scene of Captain Sander standing alone over the Bridge's STDS while talking to himself. Judging by appearances, the Captain was looking over something on the screen while speaking with someone. When the Captain noticed Stroman had arrived he quickly straightened up, saluted, and only managed to get halfway through announcing that the commander was present before Stroman waved off the formality, signalling to the other Bridge crew to also be at ease.

"Status report, Captain." the old man sounded grouchy with suspicion in his tone. "This had better be good or else..."

"Admiral. I have all ship Captains on voice now." he gestured to the flattop screen, not to show him the voice application was functioning but to bring attention to the screen's large top-down map. It displayed the live outlook of every ship, every aircraft, and anything else of interest within the fleet's ever watchful eyes with plenty of interaction options available for the user's pleasure. "About forty minutes ago, the INS Olaf, a corvette positioned at the rear of our formation, detected a faint sonar contact to its direct east, approximately forty kilometers away. It has since failed to detect and isolate the source of the contact." the Captain then tapped on the icon displaying where said contact was, displaying a number of statistics and information that could be gathered.

"Did Meer not choose to to respond?"

"MEER aboard the INS Olaf and here couldn't isolate the source either. All that Olaf could ascertain is the contact's bearing and estimated depth - there is no information on the contact's size, bearing, speed, or hull type. All we could gather from this detection was that the vessel was two hundred meters bellow sea level, well bellow this region's thin thermocline."

"So then the question here, Captain, is if the depth is accurate or if this was a false return?" Stroman sat down in the same chair he fancied on the Bridge. "It sounds to me we need more information - an investigation is needed."

"Im sure if MEER had detected a serious threat, it would have chosen to respond rather than just alerting us, Admiral." Sander was starting to feel some relief that he didn't waste the Admiral's time, deserving his wrath.

"You place too much faith in technology, Captain. Technology is a tool, not an answer. Technology hinted to us a possible threat but even then you sound like you're dismissing it."

"No Admiral..." the Captain stumbled to reply, disjointed just as he thought he was finally in the clear. "I meant that if it was an immediate threat, MEER would have been more profound. Since it wasn't we have to gather more information, like you said."

"Yes... we do need to investigate this threat, don't we?" Stroman was only going light on the Captain because he realized his mistake before he dug himself in, but right now that wasn't the most urgent matter at hand.

"What are your orders, sir?" the Captain finally spoke up.

"The meat of the situation here, Captain, is that a submarine is tailing us. A damn quiet one too. Is this enemy or is it a chance encounter? Who knows. But every navy knows that shadowing a fleet with a submarine is the quintessential to grabbing a treat from the cookie jar. If you're caught with your hand in the cookie jar, expect the wooden spoon they say. Now give it the wooden spoon, Captain."

"Admiral?"

"I want any cocky bastard daring enough to trail a Commoner fleet, one im at the helm in, to learn a stark lesson Captain. Use our ASW helicopters to hunt this shadow down starting from that last point of contact - I don't want this fleet breaking formation under any circumstance. Understood?"

"Yes Admiral." the Captain responded, happy to be done with the conversation at hand.

"Admiral. Permission to speak and make a request?" an unfamiliar voice spoke up from out of nowhere.

"You may, whomever you are."

"This is Captain Urs Gensch of the INS Olaf. I ask for permission to utilize our vessel's ASW helicopter to find and eliminate this contact."

The Admiral thought it over for a few moments and gave his reply. "Certainly Captain. But you're not doing it alone. There's too much open water for just one aircraft to cover. INS Werther will be dispatching three helicopters to help your efforts, but we'll leave the hunt to you. I trust your crew is on top of this matter and will do us proud. In the meantime we'll be sure to have all vessels start scanning variable depths to find this shadow."

"If we find it, Admiral?" the Captain replied, seemingly asking for something specific.

"You have my permission to sink it with all your power, Captain."

"Very good sir!"

The Captain got up from his seat and made his way back to the door from which he entered. "I'll leave the rest to you Captain Sander. I'll expect a report in a couple hours if not sooner."

"Yes sir!"

Archelan Commonwealth Recon Response Force
HMS Astute (S119) - Engrandonican Royal Navy
54km East of the Werther Carrier Group, Underwater

The captain looked at the latest sonar report. The submarine was slightly moving away from the fleet, which was good. It seemed that the silent submarine was still good quietly continuing at it's pace of two knots. It was still the perfect speed, but as the captain looked at the sonar report on the paper, she coughed quietly.

"... minor cavitation and minor pinging from unknown source." The captain whispered, brushing her hair. "Get us out of here. Five knots."

"... five knots, aye ma'am." The helmsman whispered back.

As throttle was applied, the ship's propeller started turning a tiny bit faster, not like it made a difference anyway. Turning to port, the HMS Astute started heading away from the TECT Main Fleet. It's mission at the moment was now over. It was to get out of the area as silent as it can be, being as quiet as when it went in.

The captain poked her wrist, sighing softly. She was calm throughout this entire mission, enclosed in this rubberized steel box with her crew. She looked at each crewmember in the control station, each crewmember doing their assigned job. The next sonar report would arrive and be printed in about five minutes, so she had to wait. The submarine to her still remained undetected, but she needed to be certain that she wouldn't be tailed.

"Dive. 294 meters."

"294 meters, aye ma'am."

The captain couldn't help but sigh as the Submarine descended into the depth of the ocean, silently heading out of the area."

Archelan Commonwealth First Reinforcement Fleet
Atamina (CA-134) - Yuktobanian Navy Reserve Fleet
Kiril Island DVSF

"Good to see you again."

Captain Atamina, former captain of the Heavy Cruiser Atamina, was finally back home. Retired in the 1990s, the heavy cruiser was mainly used as a training ship before then. It was a vintage ship from the Continental War, and back then it was one of the most advanced ships in the world. It had autoloading 203mm Guns and an AA battery consisting of numerous 76mm guns and 40mm guns. When the Continental War ended in 1944, the ship was barely a year old, and so it became the flagship of the Home fleet of the Union of Armarusian Republics, the country Yuktobania used to be part of. When Armarus broke apart in 1979, the ship was still afloat surprisingly. Becoming a cadet training ship, this role lasted into the 1990s, where the old ship was finally decommissioned and placed in reserve.

Unlike the Battleship Kiril, the ship the Atamina served with during it's short career in the Continental War, it was never modernized to have missile systems. The Kiril received upgrades and Box Launchers for the P-270M, along with Goalkeeper CIWSs and a nice radar suite. The Atamina, meanwhile, remained relatively the same for it's entire career.

That is, until now.

Captain Atamina looked at the piece of paper she held in her hand. It was a list of upgrades that they had planned for the ship. This included improving the autoloader system, adding two Goalkeeper CIWS systems, and placing two Box Launchers for P-270Ms on the back of the ship. They wanted this because Archelan Naval Command would use the recently recommissioned-again Battleship Kiril as a hard hitter using it's 406mm Guns to deliver slow but heavy bombardment for land targets. The Atamina's role would be to deliver light bombardment, but constant bombardment. Since the ship would have a faster fire rate than the bigger Kiril, it would be effective if an area needed to be saturated in 203mm shells.

It was perfect for shore bombardment.

Atamina quietly peeked around the empty bridge of the ship. Currently, she and a couple other members of the Yuktobanian Navy were nosing around on the ship as it was towed to Dromodesev Naval Shipyard for the upgrades. Paint was starting to peel off in some areas, and the ship smelt of dried fish for some reason. Looking at the windows of the bridge, she watched one of the Yuktobanian Navy's fleet oceangoing tugs pulled the Atamina along, escorted by the Guided Missile Destroyer Sevoremmima and Almaz Hill.

It was a long way to go.

The People's Republic of Zhouran, despite following a foreign policy of non-aligned neutrality, is considered to be strongly anti-marxist with the current leadership being described by foreigners as unabashed anti-communists, ironically the country does maintain diplomatic ties with different communist and leftist-socialist states, including Lamerika.

While the Maritimes War in Eastern Lamerika continues, the leadership had decided that the PRZ shall provide financial and diplomatic support to Lamerika while remaining neutral in the entire conflict.

COMBAT AVIATION GROUP SACRED EYES OF REPENTANCE

COMBAT NAVAL GROUP LAWFUL EARS OF PITILESS CONTRITION

While the PRZ remains neutral in the conflict, this did not mean they would be observing closely...

Above the North Atlantic, a combat aviation group of military aircraft, consisting of 18 combat aircraft, 2 maritime patrol aircraft and a single AEW&C aircraft, had took off from the Zhouranese allied state of Zartobania and were heading towards a designated starting point in which they would fly across a pre-planned route that was hundreds of kilometres away from the Eastern Lamerikan coastline. Their primary objective was to simply conduct aerial reconnaissance and collect any data that the Zhouranese could use when reporting on the conflict. At the same time, their secondary objective was to monitor any military movements in the region and bring back intel to Zhouranese forces stationed in Zartobania.

Below the skies and under the sea, a group of four SSNs were sailing towards their designated meet-up point which was located hundreds of kilometers northeast of the Eastern Lamerikan coastline. With each submarine equipped with a highly-sophisticated maritime reconnaissance package, the combat naval group would be sent to a reconnaissance mission more clandestine than that given to the combat aviation group. Although one of their task was to conduct maritime reconnaissance, collect data and monitor military movements, their other more-classified task was to conduct underwater surveillance by tapping the undersea cables connecting towards the east of Newfoundland. The personnel onboard the four submarines were unaware of why they were given the task of fiber-tapping on foreign undersea cables, however all they were told by superiors was to "do what you were told to do and burn any written documentations on the fiber-tapping operation once returning to port in Zartobania."

ISS Shanghai

After receiving the communication from the Oskano fleet, the fleet had changed course towards the designated coordinates. Those same coordinates had also been sent to the reinforcement fleet which was now a day behind the main fleet. On bridge the Admiral Shang was looking at the main display watching the other fleets in the region. The main fleet of interest of however was several hundred kilometers to the north east. It had not yet been identified as it was too far away. It was suspected to a TECT fleet though given its point of origin, However he wanted positive confirmation of it.

Admiral Shang: Lieutenant Aadarshini, send message to the Ulaanbaatar, tell them to detach from the fleet and confirm the identity of that suspected TECT fleet to the north east of us. As soon as they have confirmation leave immediately and return to the fleet.

Lieutenant Aadarshini: Yes, Sir

With that she sent the Admirals instructions to the ISS Ulaanbaatar. The submarine then left the formation and headed north east towards the unknown fleet.

ISS Ulaanbaatar

After receiving his instructions from the admiral, Captain Yangchen of the ISS Ulaanbaatar, Ordered his ship away from the fleet. After they were a few kilometers from the fleet the sub dived to 200 meters and set off at a speed of 9 knots in a northeasterly directions, Once they were 80 kilometers from the fleet they would slow to 4 knots, observe the fleet then head back.

The light carrier Hong Kong was one of two carriers assigned to the fleet. This fleet was the main force of the Republic's operation to observe the Lamerika conflict. The other fleet which was a day ahead was the advanced guard meant to asses the situation and secure a area before the main force arrived. The fleet mainly had vessels to support landings as well support ships and many escorts. It was under the temporary command of Captain Jae-eun as Admiral Shang had went ahead with advanced fleet. Under her command the fleet had made progress and was now only a day behind the advanced fleet.

After the Admiral Shang had sent her the coordinates provided by the Oskoni Admiral. She ordered the fleet to change course as so they could rendezvous at the point in a day. There she would hand command of the fleet back to Admiral Shang.

Oskani 3rd Surface Fleet

International Waters | 54.025728, -54.028851

Admiral Wilhelm Fischer | ONS Dragoon

Working with international partners was a staple of Oskani military doctrine whether they wished it to be or not. Ever since the wars of old they had found themselves nearly forced to co-operate with foreign military forces, though there was always a large degree of autonomy to their operations. After all few could stomach the work of the Oskani soldier, much less keep up with their pace. But that was to be expected from a nation built almost completely on military operations and the continued conquest, subjugation and annexations of other countries big and small. How they still managed to find allies in such a globalized and liberal world was the work of skilled politicians and other services back home. Through countless years of both war and peace they often worked behind the scenes easily set up wars and victories for the Republic, only ever causing the military to do little but send in a surface fleet and a few battalions of soldiers to boot. Sometimes all it took was a few men to bring about the entire downfall of a nation, and there were several branches of the Oskani Special Operations Command designated to that exact purpose whether it be through the military's own RAMIS or the various specialized organizations being run by the Oskani Central Intelligence Service, or OCIS for short.

Though from the looks of things such a favorable outcome was from gone from this conflict. Already too many nations with various degrees of loyalties and backgrounds had become involved. The lines between sides were already being blurred as new factions with seemingly no allegiance to either the rebels or government began to form. Then again, that was what the Oskani were doing in this small little backwater country, but it wasn't the first time. And doubtfully would be the last. It wasn't hard to understand though. A small backwater country sitting on prime strategic locations in the North Atlantic was the perfect target for most nations that could shed the fake smiles of global co-operation for half a second to gobble up the vulnerable country. A civil war only made the outcome more likely and twice as appetizing. It was no wonder that multi fronts had formed so quickly, causing the whole situation to turn from a simple proxy war into a full blown symmetrical conflict revolving around the acquisition of new land, rather than installing a new government and forming a potential ally. Because who needs an ally when you can just take all the land for yourself.

Of course there were always the same old devoted allies that still cling to either side of the conflict no matter the odds presented against them. The fools that would fight to see their ideology spread, or remain depending on which side of the conflict they were apart of. Those fools, however, would have to wait for another day to get what was coming to them. For now the biggest target was the third parties that always found themselves involved in such conflicts. The ones out to take advantage of the situation. Those were always the biggest threats to peace in a region, and subsequently the largest threat to Oskani assets in the area. And for the conflict at hand the number was likely to only grow as support for the already engaging sides withered away slowly with each passing day. It would also be these who posed the biggest threats. Being able to intervene in such a conflict using only their own resources and forces spelt them out as a powerful foe, or an arrogant one depending on how one would view such an idea. They were the one's who would put up the weakest fight but throw the hardest punches. Thus it was a necessity to deal with them as quickly as possible, and this plans were already being put in place to deal with such.

Thus if one is to succeed in such an environment they have to play their cards right, and use every tool at their disposal. Like a game of poker it didn't just help to use a few cards, it was helpful to use all of them. Though then again, a good bluff can also pay off in surprising ways. But that of course was a riskier tactic. The most useful of course was allies, something that could be far and few between for an independent force, unless one knew where to look. Some strange nations involved themselves in such dirty and bloody conflicts to simply put an end to the fighting. The same thing the Oskani were there to do, well on paper at least. And as fate would have it they weren't the only ones. It was a rare streak of luck for an invading third party and one they would take full advantage of.

Admiral Fischer was standing out of the bridge observing the storm that was still growing around their position. Grey clouds rolled angrily over the fleet and the ocean surrounding them for kilometers in every direction. Though as if held back by some unseen force it had not yet broken. The rains would not fall and the wind sat almost dead still upon the bridge safe for a light breeze that barely ruffled the Old Captain's uniform. Not even a flash of lightning or clap of thunder dared to strike out from under the cover of the clouds, the only sounds being the ruffling of fabric and the occasional shout from down on the deck of the mighty command ship. That was until a voice crackled out from behind the man. Turning it was revealed the shape of a young sailor, black tablet cradled in his arms like a small child.

"Sir" His voice traveled out with a hint of worry on the edge of his tongue. The old Admiral caught the hint and narrowed his eyes on the young man as his own featured hardened into a serious glare, if it was even possible. A bomb could have gone off next to him and he wouldn't be the least bit shaken. "Sir, we've received a hail from one of the previously marked fleets."

The Admiral simply made a grunting sound as he nodded in the direction of the young sailor. In turn the young man opened up the door for the Admiral as he stepped inside. Inside the command centered remained the same calm it did through most of its journey, everything in order with the exception of the ship's Captain and XO standing around the large table position in the center of the bridge. It was a display of the fleets position, lit of up in a deep blue color contrasted to light blue that sat illuminated beneath the display being shown. As the old man approached the two men surrounding the table, saluted before before returning to their work. The old man turned his attention to the older of the pair, the markings of a Captian shown sitting on his shoulders. He gave a simple nod as the man placed his hand onto the display and slide it slight, revealing two green markers a small distance away from the blue markers which had shrunk to a single blue marker on the display. It was then the young sailor who had first reported to the Admiral spoke up, receiving the full attention of the three men gathered besides him.

"We have just received contact from the green indicator to the north-west of our fleets current position" The man paused for a moment, fiddling with the small tablet still cradled in his arms. A few seconds later he turned his attention back to the men standing before him. "They have requested an identification from us" There was a dead silence filling the area after the man finished talking, as if he had forgotten a line in a movie a co-star was eagerly awaiting their cue. Finally the man flipped his hand across the tablet another few times before speaking up, "We are also not reading any fire signatures from either of the unknown contacts. Pulling up the audio now"

There was a brief pause as the young sailor barked some orders to the other sailors sitting around various control screens and stations. Within a few moments a voice began to come out of the speakers surrounding the table, "This is Commander Mirazati Tanaka of the Archelan Commonwealth Response Fleet. Please state who you are and your motives." It was the voice of what sounded like a younger woman, perhaps somewhere in her early thirties or so. The voice caught the attention of the young comms officer, no doubt surprised in the sound of someone so young in command of a large force of surface vessels, much less a combat fleet. The other two simply turned to the Admiral who was stroking his beard as he sat staring at the indicator that had now been tagged as Archelan Commonwealth Fleet.

There was a long moment of silence after the response from the Commonwealth commander. The Admiral knew this wasn't the best bit of news he could have received in an operation like this one. The Commonwealth and the Republic had not always had the best relationship, especially in previous years. Allies of the once great wars, though only a pawn in the much larger game of the Oskani, they were not always on the best of terms. Both being expansionist like nations, though one more diplomatically focused than the other there was no doubt bound to be some strained tension when the two came into setting eyes upon the same areas. Luckily a major conflict had been avoided between the two but it didn't mean things couldn't get heated. Especially given the likely hood the Commonwealth understood at least some of the basics of Oskani military and diplomatic operations. But then again they were devoted to the cause of peace and given the change in Oskani policy over the past few years it was likely such could be used to their advantage once again.

The Admiral clicked a button on the display table and began to speak into the comms link established between the two commanders, <<This is Fleet Admiral Wilhelm Fischer of the 3rd Oskani Surface Fleet. We are currently a neutral party within the current conflict and are current acting as an observatory entity at this time. We are in international waters and have no hostile intentions towards any party. If you wish to make contact with our fleet for peaceful reasons return a message on this frequency only>> Not even waiting a moment to allow for a response from the Commonwealth fleet the Admiral pressed the mute button on their end of the frequency and turned to the Chief Comms Officer who simply nodded in his direction. Soon enough a marking reading Commonwealth Direct Command Link had appeared just under their display tag which had turned to a dark green color. Soon enough a reply came through the link, again in the voice of the young woman, <<This is Commander Mirazati. We request that our forces meet up at your position>> The Comms officer and Captain both turned to face the Admiral who was at this point staring intensely at the screen watching as the green marker slowly made its way across the larger light blue expanse. "Very well, relay our intended rally position, we'll see where this goes..." The Comms officer nodded as one of the sailors sitting in front of him began typing into the display in front of them.

No sooner than the rally position had been transmitted the the Commonwealth Fleet than another comms hail appeared on a screen, prompting the Comms Officer to turn once again to the command center. He received a simple nod from the Admiral as another voice began to crackle to life across the comms link, <<Unknown fleet this is Admiral Shang of the IoA navy aboard the ISS Shanghai>>. A worried look passed over the face of the Ship's Captain as the voice finished speaking. It was a face not lost on that of the Admiral whose face still showed the same stoic expressionless face. He simply stroked his beard once again letting out a small sigh as he did. No doubt the ship captain next to him had served for a decent amount of time, looking around the age of forty or so. He had likely served at some point when the Asian Republic was considered a very high threat, due in part to their relations with the Commonwealth and Chinevionian Republic. Luckily those relations had broken down around a decade or so ago, making the threat smaller. But the Commonwealth had still kept close ties with Asian Republic and considering both were in the same place and close together, it was the cause for a little of concern. No doubt they were playing some sort of game, though what it was would undoubtable remain a mystery for the time being. A partnership would certainly explain the fact that they received two separate hails, rather than a single call from the Commonwealth fleet, it being the closest of course. No doubt meant to throw off the commander of any fleet in the area, but it didn't pass over the head of the season Admiral. But for now, he would play there game just as they would his. He turned his attention back to the comms officer who began relaying their information to the Asian Fleet as well.

----------

The addition of the Commonwealth and Asian Republican Fleets, would for the most part make the job of protecting Oskani assets all the easier for the time being. With the three fleets combined it nearly tripled the ships available to the Admiral and doubled the land forces as well, even if landing was a secondary issue. For now their main concerns rested with the other fleets, aligned but more importantly unaligned that were no doubt coming into the seas around Lamerika every minute. Most of which were no doubt there to only worsen things, and cause significant harm to Oskani assets in the area. Thus it was decided that the main focus of most operations for the time being was to deal with these incoming fleets, several of which had already been located by either Oskani vessels or those of the allied ships. The fleets that had been quick enough to already enter Lamerikan waters, and subsequently reveal their true intentions would have to wait until later.

Already a particular fleet had been designated as the primary objective for engagement. A contact designated as The TECT Fleet had been discovered sometime ago by the Asian Republic Fleet, they of course being the ones farthest from the rally point and thus the mostly to detect any incoming threats from the East meanwhile the Commonwealth was working on threats to the North and the Oskani of course dealing with any forces that would set out from Lamerikan waters to challenge what lay beyond the safety of a defined combat zone. The TECT fleet itself seemed to be small in nature from what the Commonwealth Commander was reporting. They had supposedly sent out a sub some time ago to patrol their rear for any approaching fleets and it seemed they had managed to find something. Only about half a dozen or so ships cruising in from the North-East. There was no doubt in the Admiral's mind that it was simply a reconnaissance fleet sent ahead to scope out what laid ahead and due to the report of what seemed like transports, was no doubt there to establish some sort of beach head for further operations. That was of course, if they managed to land any troops. Intel on Lamerikan forces was sketchy to begin with, but there was also the fact three fleets were currently setting their sights on them.

The Commonwealth fleet had already begun operations with their sub that had been tailing the TECT Fleet. What exactly the implied was unknown. Even with the relatively small numbers of the TECT Fleet a single sub was likely less than needed to take out the whole of the fleet. Intel on the exact capabilities of the Common Territories was unknown for the most part, never have engaged in previous combat, but they certainly weren't a bunch of merchant ship tugging along at a few knots. Given their stature as an independent party they undoubtable had some fire power to back them up, and defenses as well. Likely the Commonwealth had other intentions for their singular submarine, but it still was something that the Admiral was keen on cashing in on. As he watched the indicator of the sub slowly drift away from the TECT fleet a multitude of plans and strategies were already racing through his head. As he places his hand on the display we swipe downwards to reveal three markers indicating Oskani Submarines to the south-east of the fleets current location. For a moment he stood staring at the the dots slowly drifting back and forth, the one closest to Newfoundland remaining still.

A few seconds later his voice broke the relative silence of the command center. His voice was calm and stern despite the action and danger it called for. "The Commonwealth has provided a unique chance for us in regards to our current target. Move ahead all operations by sixteen hours." Those around the command display exchanged looks of sternness before moving to their respective locations. Already the Ship Captain was shouting orders to the various command councils surrounding the command center. New rally locations were being broadcast to the various ships in the fleet, as well as orders to prepare four squadrons, two per carrier, of Yu-27Ks to prepare for launch. As the Command center roared to life with various activities the old Admiral simply stared out of the window of the bridge. Watching as the first soft rain drops landed on the glass and scatter in various directions from the source of impact.

Oskani 3rd Surface Fleet

International Waters | 53.50111, -47.69714

Captain of the Ship Hermann Graff | ONS Asaco

The initial formation of a Surface fleet varied in composition to a certain extent. This was of course to deal with a variety of missions of hand, though some parts were always the same. That of course being the primary combat surface counter part of a fleet. The standard amount of carriers, Command Ships, Cruisers, and Destroyers were always the same from one surface fleet to another. The only thing that truly every changed was the auxilary ships that would normally accompany any mission that was not simple naval combat to contest or capture sea based areas. As such the number of transport, supply, hospital, and especially submarines would vary depending on what each fleet was envisioned to encounter during their deployment. It of course as not always true, as nothing in combat is ever as it seems, but they had a tendency to get fairly close.

The 3rd Surface fleet was no exception. Being given the task of acting as the forward forces for another Oskani military assets that would entering the area in the future they were equipped with both landing and anti-land capabilities. The landing portion came in the form of the four transport ships keeping close to the center of the third fleet. They were protected by massive overlapping layers of both air and sea defense to ensure safe passage for the forces on board. The anti-landing of course came from the six nuclear powered submarines accompany the fleet. Though at the time being only two of the six remained with the fleet. The other four were being scattered all over the the Lamerikan areas and those nearby in international waters, all with their separate orders. Some were simply there for reconnaissance while others patiently awaited more destructive orders, and some orders that would seem bizarre to anyone besides the person who had planned said operations.

Such was the case with the ONS Fiwell. The Sub was currently loitering around some four hundred or so kilometers south-west of the TECT fleet. The submarine was of course one of the four ballistic missile capable submarines sent out with the Third Fleet. The others being her sister ships, Asaco, Shoni, and Shens. One of which, the Asaco, was only a few hundred kilometers away. But despite their close proximity and relative same armament, the Fiwell had a much stranger task to accomplish, one that was far different from anything any of the other subs would be attempting at the current time. When the orders came out from the Dragoon to speed up their operations it was as if nothing ever changed. Upon receiving their orders they simply fired a single missile up into the air from their position before turning their power plants up to fifteen knots and diving an extra twenty something meters to the south towards their second rally point. The missile of course wasn't just any simple cruise missile. No, instead it was an instrument. A simple weather balloon from the outside. Something ships were known to use to record weather patterns. Though this model was slightly different. Weather patterns weren't what it was designed to track.

----------

The ONS Asaco was carrying on a much more traditional mission. Though it of course had a slight variation. One of the most important parts of poker was to feel out one's opponent. This could often be done in a variety of ways. Everything from calls to raises to the slight grin or nod at a certain card or action could easily force your opponent to reveal something to you, even if they didn't want to. No one goes all in on the first hand, at least not without a plan. But Admiral Fischer wasn't a fan of such risky moves, though it wasn't to say he wasn't one to take risks. So long as they were calculated, and the current mission of the Asaco was far from a risk. The submarine was plenty far away that they wouldn't have to worry about an immediate response from the Common Territories Fleet. Even if they were somehow immediately able to find the location of the submarine, they would plenty far by the time the thought would even cross the mind of the TECT Commander.

For the past hour or so the submarine had been quietly crawling along at slow pace of around two knots. Swimming at a depth of around two hundred meters they would be safe from any maritime patrol aircraft, much less any from the TECT Fleet. The distance of just about three hundred and fifty kilometers to the south-east was the main reason for such safety, but the near silence of the submarine was an added bonus as well. Soon enough however, the silence was broken by the words form the navigation officer, "Captain, we've reached the rally position. Awaiting your orders." The Captain was an older man, though not quite as much as the Admiral, settling in at around his late forties. He had seen enough conflict with the Oskani navy and more importantly Admiral Fischer to know a few of his tricks. The one currently in play was an old favorite of his, as both men shared a common joy of their work, and this tactic was born of it.

A slight grin grew across the Captain's face as he spoke out new orders, "Good. Hold position. Lock target and prepare one, Tube 10." There was a brief silence as the officers seated in front of the command positions began running through a series of commands input into the various displays positioned in front of them. After a few minutes there was a reply from a station off to the Captain's left, "General area located, sir. One prepped, AHR set. Awaiting launch order." The Captain changed his gaze towards the front of the command area. Unlike that of the Ship the Admiral stood upon, this command center held no windows to gaze out at what lay beyond. Yet the Captain could already imagine the enemy fleet that was hundred of kilometers away. Placing his hands behind back and never changing his gaze he spoke in a calm voice, "Launch request confirmed and cleared." There came an almost instant reply from the officer off to his left, "Yes sir, missile away."

The Captain simply nodded his head at the words of the young officer. No sooner than his words had been spoken did a single missile tube open on the back of the submarine. Out of the open hole quickly extended the shape of a warhead followed by the rest of the body. It moved quickly through the water, its powerful engines created and storm of bubbles under it as it flew closer and closer to the water's surface. After only meare moment the shining head of the missile broke through the surface of the water followed closely behind by a massive trail of white exhaust. For a few moment upon breaking the surface of the water the missile moved upwards in a slight arc towards the north-west. It continued on this path for around twenty seconds or so before adjustment engines on the side of the missile kicked in realigning its flight path to a horizontal trajectory of around a few degrees to the north-west. It would only take a few minutes before the missile would find a target, and descend upon the TECT Fleet.

Though before it even had a chance to reach the surface of the water the submarine was already preparing for another strike. The air on the sub was tense, even if was for just a few minutes. The second the missile left the surface of the water they were already being put at risk for discovery. Even at the depth they were for missile launches, there was still a serious threat of having to deal with various Anti-Submarine measures, not just homing torpedoes. But if everything went to plan it would all be worth it. It was after all only around five minutes of waiting. Just enough time for the first missile to reach the halfway point on its short journey to the side of a Common Territories ship, hopefully. When the time had passed the young officer who had spoken only a few minutes prior cast a waiting glance up towards the Captain, nearly surprised the Captain had retained his composure. He was met with a simple nod from the Captain, a grin still plastered across his face, even if it had shrunk a slight bit. Then just as before a single missile emerged from the back of the Asaco following nearly the same flight path towards the awaiting TECT Fleet. The Captain then turned his gazed to the Helmsman, "Set course for the second rally point. Five Knots, dive three hundred." The request was met with a simple "Yes sir" from the helmsman as the Asaco began to sink deeper into the murky depths. The grin still on his face, a thought passed through the Captain's mind Let's see if your plan will work, old friend.

Oskani 3rd Surface Fleet

International Waters | 50.16282, -55.30517

Captain Alois Fischer, RAMIS 5th Squadron - Toron Detachment | ONS Xalo

Due to the wish to remain distant from direct combat for the time being, the various submarines within the Third Fleet were being utilized in different ways. Some were carrying out traditional missions like the ONS Asaco, while others had been given different tasks, as in the case of the ONS Fiwell. Both of those submarines, however, were classified as SSGNs. Thus their roles made sense for submarines capable of launching ballistic and cruise missiles. That of course being direct attacks on the TECT Fleet and the launching of an observation balloon. Tasks that the Xalo would be unable to complete due to the lack of a large missile compartment, and of course its focus on recon rather than attack. But that wasn't to say it didn't have its own tricks up its sleeves. Instead of a missile bay the Xalo was instead fitted with a more unique storage compartment. That of course meaning the transportation and delivery of human passengers. In this particular case it would be the delivery of a RAMIS squadron to St. Anthony's to prepare for future landings.

The RApid Mobilization Intervention Service, or RAMIS for short was an elite special forces program that came into being in the late seventies. A split off of the Rapid Deployment Intervention Section. a branch renowned for being the first boots on the ground almost anywhere the Oskani went, the RAMIS were the best the Oskani had to offer. Seeing as RDIF Troopers had to hand apply with a minimum of five years and a three tour service record in war times, RAMIS were hand picked from the RDIF to begin training. These soldiers had been responsible for putting a halt on countless military and diplomatic operations by various enemies of the Republic of Oskano. In particular events regarding Chinevion and Wasabiton, two nations who were presently believed to be supporting the Lamerikan government, even though the bulk of their forces had yet to arrive. Thus the RAMIS were perfect for securing St. Anthony's ahead of the secondary landing force of RDIF troopers. The twelve man squad could easily take the air force from whatever loosely trained and supplied militia were currently controlling it in only a few hours.

Despite the room made for both passengers bunks and that of landing craft it was still incredibly cramped in the small compartment where the RAMIS squad was resting. But that was the life on a submarine. Everything close together and about two feet of personal space. Even less in the deployment area. The Soldiers however were making the best of it. Most were lying where they could find the space, trying to cram in as much sleep as possible before the operation would commence. It would be at least another day before they were presented with such a chance to sleep but they were used to it. Most of the soldiers were busy going over their weapons and gear, but a small group of three or four had gathered around one of the older looking members of the group. Somewhere in his early forties the man carried the name, Franze Weber, but most simply called him The Tourist or Old Man. He was going on about some operation he had gone on a while back. Something about raiding a commercial cargo ship off the coast of Chinevion. Most of the other guys gathered around him were all in their early thirties, but seemed to be enjoying the story like young children sitting on their grandfather's lap. It was almost a calm mood, until there was the sound of fabric ruffling as another soldier dressed the same way entered the room. All of the men stood up and stopped what they were doing. Their once happy faces turning to same calm stoic as the man who had just entered. He was a slightly older man in his mid thirties by the name of Alois Fischer, the commander of this Squad, though most simply called him Grey, for a variety of reasons. It wasn't so much that his presence commanded authority, as most in the unit respected him and had served with him for over half a decade at this point. Instead they knew his presence meant it was time to go.

The Older man was the first to approach him. At nearly the same height he could meet his eyes. The look told him everything he needed to know about the man being there, as did everyone else. But he asked anyways, "Time to go, Alois?" The man turned to him, giving him a slight nod before turning to the rest of the men gathered before him. All were wearing the same uniform though their weapons and gear varied between soldier. After looking over the men gathered before him, he turn to talk, his voice cold and calm, "As you know all operations in the Lamerikain theater had been progressed sixteen hours. Including ours. Besides that our orders still stand as normal. Capture and hold St. Anthony's airport until RDIF relief arrives." The emphasis on relief was intentional and drew dry laughs from the men, though the Captain's voice never changed. With that they left to assemble into the RHIB water craft that would be launched from the back of the Xalo. Within an hour or so they would arrive at shore and then from there it would be onto St. Anthony's.

Belle Strait

The twenty-four planes, all of them Su-33s equipped with various missiles were performing various patrols all around the Belle Strait. Their job was essentially to secure the area from air attack while a small fleet of helicopters ferried troops to various landing zones where they would hastily fortify and await the arrival of supply ships into the region to unload AShM and SAM launchers. Even now, the fleet approached steadily closer to the straits whilst the various aircraft patrolled, looking for targets to down. The main asset for the planes in the area however was the lone EVS-3 (OOC: E-2 Hawkeye), a AWACs craft providing radar guidance for all the aircraft in the area. This craft, though not well armed (or armed for that matter) was providing a early-warning system for the entire area. The Radar Officer (RO), Desislav C. noted to the rest of the crew the sudden appearance of a large number of un-identified aircraft heading towards the operation zone. This information was relayed to the Third Fleet which then spread the word to the various patrolling fighters.

Blanc-Sablon, Lamerika

Over the sleepy fishing village of Blanc-Sablon, a swarm of half a dozen Ka-32T transport helicopters, each with 16 troops inside, landed nearby in the forests of the town. Blanc-Sablon was a keystone in securing the entire Strait for Asenovgrod and gaining a tactical advantage. The 96 soldiers, two full platoons landed here were perhaps a little under-sized for taking a town of almost 1,200, but the famous rule of '17% will support the resistance, but only 2% will resist' meant that there should be at most a platoons worth of hastily assembled residents with pistols, shotguns or hunting rifles facing off against two platoons of professional military soldiers with helicopter fire support - a one-sided fight. This job would in all likely-hood simply be a matter of asking the local residents to turn in their rifles - with a military presence here now, the residents wouldn't need their guns for protection.

Admiral Formosa would watch the conversation carefully listening to every word they said. At the word Lamerika he ordered they fire. But by the time the order was sent the Cruiser had been blown out of the water. "Send some aircraft from the carrier. Bomb them to dust" Bombers and fighters go to attack the Wassbiton fleet.

Immediately after the attack, all carriers were ordered to send their aircraft to fight. As the NF-36 naval fighters took off from the WNS Finchland and the F-48 VTOL fighters took off from the Brasil class Amphibious assault ships, multiple hostile planes appeared on the radar. Being outnumbered for now they would have to hold out until the reserves and possibly the whole 3rd fleet arrived. after a few minutes, the 3rd fleet was approved to head out. Bombers from the Northern Wasabitoni air bases were also in range but would take time to ready up and have not been approved to help until air superiority was established.

INTERNATIONAL AIRSPACE
SOUTH OF GREENLAND
NORTH ATLANTIC OCEAN

COMBAT AVIATION GROUP SACRED EYES OF REPENTANCE

After arriving at their designated starting point, the combat aviation group began flying across a pre-planned route that was hundreds of kilometres away from the Eastern Lamerikan coastline. The AEW&C aircraft was capable of monitoring any airspace thanks to its powerful airborne early warning radar while the two maritime patrol aircraft were not only capable of maritime surveillance but also SIGINT/ELINT gathering as well. All three important airborne assets were well-protected by an escort of eighteen well-armed fighter jets, out of which four were equipped with under-wing electronic warfare pods for EW support. As the group commences operation, the four EW support fighters activate high-power radar jamming by executing digital radio frequency memory (DRFM) jamming in order to provide electronic cover for the group.

Archelan Commownealth Response Fleet
Yuktobanian Aircraft Carrier Karkiev (CVAN-67)
International Waters, Allied Fleet

"We're here."

The Archelan Commonwealth Response Fleet was now in formation with the fleets of the Asian Republic and the DSRO. Bumping up the numbers, considerably, there was now the addition of an aircraft carrier, along with escort destroyers from Jaipuria, Destroyers from Yuktobania and Helmanstend, and other vessels. With this fleet, the allied fleet now had the capability to engage and destroy anybody in all directions, along with being able to project their power to any place in the region that they were in. The Archelan Commonwealth also brought marines, courtesy of both New Germany and also courtesy of the JS Kitakami, the vessel they were stationed on.

"How's the fleet so far?" Karkiev asked, sipping her cup of Assam Tea from the depths of Mhan.

"The Grevnyy reports some tiny engine troubles, and the JS Fubuki is having trouble keeping up for some reason, ma'am. Besides that, all is well."

Karkiev smiled. Thinking about the two ships, she let her thoughts fly around. The Grevnyy was part of the Sprucinda-Class of ASW destroyers, having been designed to replace the then aging Udaloy-Class ASW Destroyers. The Udaloy-Class had no VLS system, and since this was the 1980s, the newly formed Yuktobanian Government was now focusing on modernizing and upgrading it's entire armed forces. For the Navy, this meant decommissioning massive amounts of vessels, most of them from pre-60s times. A number of these included ResFUPed Kam-Class Destroyers and even some Battleships and heavy cruisers. When these were retired, this paved the way for the modernization. Projects such as the Enterprisa-Class Nuclear Carrier, the largest carriers on the planet, the Udaloy-III upgrade program that added VLS systems to the old Udaloy-IIs, and last but not least the Sprucinda-Class ASW Destroyers. They were the first to have been powered by modern gas turbine engines, and were powerful. With the addition of a DV20 VLS system to the front, the ship could perform Air Defense, Strike, and Anti-Ship roles. It became a powerful multipurpose tool.

And she had one of them.

Although it wasn't as stealthy as the Armenish Beach-Class that would later supplement it, the Sprucindas were still powerful in their regard. To Karkiev, they looked better than their lower RCS counterpart. The flat front looked imposing, and it was all flat planes. It looked very nice to her.

Moving her eyes, she looked at the small and cute JS Fubuki. Due to restrictions imposed on the Jaipurians after the Continental War, they were not allowed to carry or possess any offensive weapons. This included Aircraft Carriers, Tomahawks, and Nuclear Submarines. To give their navy a purpose, they had developed a sizable and powerful Anti-Submarine Force, armed with ASROCs and torpedoes. The Fubuki-Class of Small Destroyer were built to increase numbers of surface ships available to use against enemy submarines. They also incorporated new technologies, such as some lowering of their RCS and improved radars and gun. They also had the Phalanx CIWS, imported from Centenniality, to help bolster the ship's own defense capabilities against anti-ship missiles. All in all, they were effective vessels, helping the task force in ASW.

"Ma'am, message from Naval Command."

A sailor interrupted her thoughts as she looked at the man. He was holding a piece of paper towards her, wanting her to take it. Taking the paper, Karkiev read over it before almost gasping and fainting.

She was now acting supreme commander of the Archelan Task Force.

Below that was a list of what reinforcements she could call in. There were so many she could call in. The first Reinforcement Fleet had her daughters, Lomonesev and Arcadia, in it, along with the Uzznechz, FHS Foehn, and other ships. Smiling, she set down the paper, and her thoughts drifted again. This time to the FHS Foehn.

One of the oldest carriers in the world, Karkiev was surprised that the Foehn was still in service. Commissioned in 1965, the carrier and it's older sister FHS Dresdenich were made during the Cold War. Being surrounded by Communist countries, the military had to be continuously maintained to make sure that the enemies will have to die trying to take the capital of Oured. Due to the low quality of equipment in the early 1960s, Helmanstend undertook a massive revitalization program, aiming to modernize and create an advanced military that can combat the massive hordes of tanks that the Armarusians were expected to throw at them. During this period, the Helmanstend Navy purchased numerous destroyers from Centenniality, and as the main part of the project, received help in the form of a carrier design. This was the early Dresdenich-Class Carrier, of which FHS Foehn is part of. Designed to be modular and easily upgradable, these two qualities made the ship last in service past the Cold War and into the modern age. They are currently the largest conventionally powered ships being used, and this poses a logistical challenge to any task force that they are part of.

Along with the FHS Foehn was one of the newest aircraft carriers in the world. Commanded by her daughter, the Arcadia of the Yuktobanian Navy was recently commissioned. It has served in one war, and that was the Second Svergrad War. It's design was very capable, with four catapults for aircraft, and being built with the latest electromagnetic ones. The Arcadia has two islands, with one for steering the ship and the other for flight operations. Both were constructed with lessons learned from the revolutionary Armenish Beach-Class Destroyer, which included low RCS and more countermeasures against submarines. It was said to be the perfect carrier in existence. Unlike the Foehn, it was a nuclear powered one, which meant only goods used by the crew needed to be supplied. This included paper, pencils, notes, rope, and other stuff used in mundane activities.

The good thing about the task force was that it was being accompanied by numerous support vessels. There were Prepositioning ships, Fast Resupply Vessels, Tankers, even a massive intelligence ship and a cable layer. This would support the massive task force that was to form around the allied coalition of the three countries, and would ultimately ensure their victory quickly.

Setting the paper down, Karkiev smiled as she looked at the sailor.

"Get me Naval Command. I have a request to make."

North Atlantic
ISS Shanghai
The fleet had arrived at the rally point a few hours earlier with the Oskano and Archelan Commonwealth fleets waiting for them. They had received communications from the reinforcement fleet that they would be arriving in 16 hours. The ships of the fleet began to arrange themselves in new formation adjust for the larger amount of ships they joined. The combination of the three fleets had tripled the firepower of the fleet. The arrival of the Republic's fleet had added two light carriers, 3 cruisers and several destroyers and frigates, as well two SSN. That number was expected to grow however with the reinforcement fleet that would be arriving soon.

Admiral Shang had not yet met with Oskano or Commonwealth admirals yet but he expected he would in a few hours. While he waited he surveyed the ships of the fleet. The main surface combatant of the fleet was the Sejong class guided missile destroyer. The Admirals first command had been the ISS Yi Sun-Sin which was part of the fleet currently. The Sejong class looked remarkably similar to the Commonwealth's Armenish Beach-Class destroyers, as the Asian Republic had bought the design from the Yuktobanian navy and extensively modified to suit their needs. One of the main differences was the was that it was larger than the Armenish Beach-Class it was designed that way to accommodate a extra 32 VLS cells bringing the total number up to 128 cells. As well as changing the CIWS system to have a RAM launcher and single domestically designed CIWs system and redesigned. The class had been in service for 11 years and proved its worth. The class overall was one of the most heavily armed surface combatants in world, which is why the Admiral was glad to have them in his fleet, his looked over the ships waiting to be summoned to the Oskano command ship for the meeting.

ISS Hong Kong
After Captain Jae-eun had sent the message to Admiral Shang regarding the status of the fleet. She went back to her place of the bridge of the ship and looked over the reports she had to review. None of them were anything serious but she still had to review them. After while she decided to observe the vessels of the fleet.

The vessel she was interested was the ISS Yoo Gwan-Soon, a Zheng He class cruisers, it was one of the newest vessels in the fleet having only been commissioned 10 months ago. The Zheng He class of course was interesting design. It was originally envisioned by its designers to be the navy’s main destroyer. However after the Sejong class had been commissioned, the navy decided to upsize its design significantly and turn it into navy's cruiser. It original length had been extended from 160 meters to 185m, with this the cruiser VLS cells had been increased from 112 VLS cells to 140. This additions had added 3,000 tonnes to ship displacement bringing it up to 13,000 tonnes. The class had been commissioned 10 years ago and it had proven itself to be quite. One of the class, the ISS Hua Mulan had been Captain Jae-eun’s third command and right now was with Admiral Shang's fleet, which she was expected to meet in 16 hours.
