Mustering point, north of Bastonaxi
"if one thing is obvious, it's that the NDA forces in Tannistas aren't going to be easily shifted, and stalemates have set in at several points. However, I believe a drive from the south should allow us to make a strategic breakthrough enough to stop their attacks towards the state capital" General Kuulm said to his cohorts, other high ranking generals and leaders, includign army chief Alueck Sangh, who then spoke up. "And General Bleck, what of your offensive against the CVF?". Bleck nodded and stood up, a truly imposing man with half his face replaced with rough cybernetics "their northeast has utterly collapsed, and I expect within two to three months, the majority of organised resistence will have been crushed". Sangh nodded, a small smile coming to his face "and lastly, General Khere, how fares Senerra?". Khere was next to stand, a bookish bespectled man "we have managed to grind them slowly south but resistence has been heavy, nonetheless I am amble to report that our nuclear arsenal is safe. The line is currently static, but when the next lot of reinforcements arrive within the week, we will be ready to launch a new offensive to retake NDA occupied Chappas"

The man himself sat back in the taller chair, and steepled his fingers "I, on the other hand, will seek permission from the President and the Senate to unlock the black arsenal". an uncomfortable murmur went around the room, Khere spoke up "Are you sure we need to, leader? in all the existence of the nation, the black arsenal has never once been needed" he said, an edge of worry to his voice, Sangh sighed "I don't plan on using it apropos of nothing, I just want to give the NDA the third degree, the actual weapons will only be used if we end up in deadlock or worse". he leaned forward "so there's your incentive, gentlemen. Deal with the traitors efficiently, and the we won't have to rely on, say, the silver plague to do the work for us". Each man saluted and left for his own front line, much work to be done.

When they were gone, Sangh opened a channel to the president's white station "I know what you're going to ask, Comrade Sangh. To open the black arsenal. Well, if nothing else, it might give the traitors pause for thought before doing any more attacking. Send your acces code piece and I'll send mine. Meet me a black station 0." the call ended, and Sangh noticed a tremble in his hands. "whatever the cost" he nervously assured himself, exiting the room.

"whatever the cost"

The atmosphere at the Defense Departments Special Operations Division was rather tense. They were moments away from the deployment of four of the deadliest warriors in the world. These were soldiers taken from the best of the Empire's special operations community and trained to be even better killers. Advanced weapons training, demolition skills, foreign languages and customs, camouflage techniques, sniper training, armed and unarmed hand to hand combat, foraging, assassination skills, and a number of other skills that could be needed during their typical deployments. Ghosts were trained to fight significantly larger armies without anyone knowing they were actually there. Adding to the aura of secrecy and suspicion was the lack of any official documentation regarding their existence. Upon joining the Ghosts, the soldier could not tell anyone outside of the unit of their new status. Instead, the official story was they were assigned to another special operations unit that was less secret. Unlike most units, however, the Ghosts were invite only and the invites were only given to the absolute best of each of the Empire's Special Forces units. Only a thousand candidates had ever been invited. Fewer than 100 made it past the nearly two years of additional training and only 20 had ever completed the full training program to become Ghosts. The extremely small size of the organization, however, did little to hamper their skills. In conflicts across the globe, four man Ghost teams had accomplished more than entire armies could have and all without any evidence of their existence being left.

Now, four of these elite operatives were being inserted via stealth VTOL into Crysuko. Their mission was to support the NDA rebels without actually being identified. They would have precious little in the way of support but that was how they liked it. A Ghost team was like a four man army, with each member being able to demolish infrastructure, eliminate or protect high value targets, silently neutralize enemy personnel, and train rebel forces. And so Captain Sebastian Paspt (Imperial Navy), Sergeant Luca Zimmermann (Imperial Army), Lance Corporal Kevin Wechsler (Imperial Marines), and Technical Sergeant Michael Theiss (Imperial Air Force) were heading into hostile territory. They would insert into NDA controlled territory near Kesenhol, where they would link up with local leadership in order to conduct their operations and get some support from local rebel forces. The mission was simple. Eliminate government forces and the forces of opposing rebel factions and train the NDA forces so that they could successfully engage their enemies and keep the peace when the war finally ended.

"Thirty seconds, boys," the VTOL pilot whispered into his headset. "Good luck to ya." The VTOL's nose flared up as the craft set down in a clearing 56 kilometers from the main combat area. The Ghosts jumped out and rushed into the forest as the VTOL lifted back up into the night sky and raced back out to the carrier group it had been birthed from. The Ghosts then proceeded to the nearest NDA compound, taking great care to ensure they left no trace of their existence behind.

It was decided by the Committee of National Defence that the cheapest and most cost-effective option to take down the government of Crysuko was to plant in all 25 operators of the Spetzgruppen Omega

The Spetzgruppen Omega (OOC: Minas is a mix between Russian and German) are la creme de la creme de la creme of the Army and Marines. No official government records exist, and even the operators are unaware of its existence. To be chosen for the Omega program, a soldier has to be picked from the regular military into the Spetzgruppen Gamma, a 'Tier 3' special operatioms unit, then Spetzgruppen Beta - Tier 2, and of course Spetzgruppen Alpha - Tier 1. By Alpha, only 1000 remained out of the original 10,000 of Spetzgruppen Gamma. From there, the top 100 are handpicked to join Spetzgruppen Omega, Upon selection, the picks were drugged and transported to the Omega base in the desolate Minas wilderness, where they receive training that pushes them to the brink of insanity or death. Of the 100 picked, only 25 pass the initiation. Of the '5th generation' of recruits, 7 died, and then 68 were deemed unfit. The remaining twenty-five are trained harder and better than they have been before, and by the end of their training, they are expert marksmen, deadly at hand-to-hand combat, survivalists, master tacticians, and veritable chameleons.

Their assignment is to make their way to Nakyson, and assassinate the head of state, then turn around and sabotage every major artillery emplacement and supply depot. How they would do that was up to them, and in Crysuko, being the same as every other operation, they had no contact with command until the objective was complete or failed. The five teams would don CRA uniforms and be airdropped into rebel-held territory. They would make their way to a marked location past the front, where their supplies were left. These included, among other things, the approximately million-Minkhell V2A "Honey Badger" battle suit, heavily armored yet lightweight, computerised, and exoskeleton-assisted, these suits, even to the head. required nothing short of Armor-Piercing rounds to penetrate them; small arms didn't even dent them. The special-forces standard issue weapon, the AG-37, heavily modified for urban engagements, tactical grenades, plastic explosives, and the signature 'tanto' knife of the special forces, along with dehydrated rations.

No Minas

In NRA territory
Commander Mikhail Weiss instructed the 5 teams: "Alright, our identification means we'll be assigned to the front line. Once we're in the convoy to the front line, I want us all to jump on my signal, and break it for the woods. If they fire at us, fire back. From there, we'll make our way to the supply drop, and we'll figure the rest out from there. Remember, no Minas."

To be continued

Sorry if it seemed I copied you. I was also thinking of doing something spec-ops related, but I must admit, I did take a page from your book

But an assassination of the CRA's HoS would be no easy task, the main cabinet had holed themselves up in a hidden white station bunker, designed to be a subterranean fortress where only vetted personnel would be allowed, its location alone was only known the high ranking government and military officials.

Meanwhile, in southern Kesenhol
An artillery battery a kilometre long had been set up in preparation for a new assault on NDA territory, with new units of tanks and mechanised infantry soon to follow the immense bombardment to come. General Kerai tapped command codes into his console, and raised the artillery unit leader's in comms. "Attention all artillery units, preparation phase has ended. Begin strategic bombardment patterns, effective immediately". They didn't need to be told twice, and from the distance, it sounded like a monstrous storm was raging and countless shells and rockets were thrown at entrenched NDA troops. The order for armoured and infantry units to advance came a short while later, the rattled enemies struggling against the new offensive. If they had a trump card, now would be the time to play it...
