Mission Briefing

OP: Myself
Operation Code Name: Operation Pequod
Type of Mission: Supposive Hostage Situtation
Location: Cargo Ship "Nojie"
Environment: Foggy - Night
Outline: At 16:00 hours the Cargo ship known as Nojie departed from the small nation of Jukio into international waters on a routine shipping mission to an Oskani controlled territory. Carrying a realtive skeleton crew and low Security force the shipment was expected to arrive around 20:00 hours in a small port of an Oskani territory. At 18:00 during a schedule check in with Oskani Maritime Security Forces, OMSF, no contact was established with Nojie leading to it being labeled as a missing ship and a coast guard cutter was dispatched search for the missing vessel. Around 19:00s the vessel was reported in by a small fishing boat just south from the small Oskani Territory, reporting a lack of lights and crewmen on board the ship. Twenty minutes within the report an Oskani Cruiser, designation AMDV-112 or "Hunnon" was dispatched to shadow the missing frieghter. Two hours later and with no successful contact, a call was made into the nearest Oskani base. And at that the call was made to invite Task Force Atlas...
Primary Objectives: Investigate the "Nojie"
Secondary Objectives: Locate an missing crew

Number of Teams: Three Teams: Security Team + Two investigation Teams
Notes: Not everything is as it seems...What happened on "The Nojie" isn't the most importatn question to ask...

I believe we were waiting on Anowa. Though I'm not sure that would specifically be his fault alone considering he's going through something apparently last I recall.

Optimus Equite (Imperial Ranger)

Biography of Unit: The Birtonian Rangers evolved from those who were directly loyal to the Knights behind the Winter War rebellion that resulted in the Birth of Birtonia. The now ruling Knight-Regents sought to recognize the soldiers that had followed them far past the point of no return. The concept of an elite unit of soldiers handpicked by the Knight-Regents for their personal protection brought about the Rangers. Over time, the force had grown and became the epitome of Birtonian military, used across the globe by the Knight-Regents for all matters, clandestine or otherwise. The Rangers currently operate one battalion, with one company still designated for the Knight-Regents protection, and the others operate all over the world protecting Birtonian assets where deemed necessary.

As of August 26th, 2015, following the rise of the Imperium and the Imperator to the throne the BGDF was reorganized into the Adeptus Terram. Since all personnel have been inducted into the Cult of the Imperium, the Commissariat was formed and Commissars have begun to accompany all units of the Imperium Militare. After reforms occurred the Rangers answer solely to the Imperator and are therefore outside of normal military channels. More often than not members of the Imperium Militare have supported the Rangers without knowing it, whether that be dropping a buggy in the middle of a country the Imperium technically isn't operating or extracting them from a hot spot halfway around the globe.

They are the highest kept secret and the best the Imperium has to offer.

Operators of the Unit:

Squad Leader
Knight-Paladin William Fontaine: Fontaine is in charge of the second squad of Imperial Rangers authorized for joint external activities after the success of the now-famous 1st Squad Imperial Rangers that worked with Task Force Atlas previously. William, or "Bill" as he is commonly referred to, actually served with Juliani, they had both entered the Rangers together, trained, and ultimately were deployed in a combat zone together. Some would describe him as a "hard charger" as he is always pushing to complete the mission often in the fastest way possible. This mindset of course does have some drawbacks and it has cost him at least once when he lost the youngest member of his team. However, nine times out of ten he accomplishes his goals with standards most operators would never get close to.

He is of average Birtonian build and height, coming in at six feet tall and two hundred and ten pounds, he ensures to project an imposing figure both on and off the battlefield. Due to him spending a majority of his time in far off, inhospitable lands, he's grown to have a dark olive complexion, and rough features on his face, showing how much wear he really has put on himself, yet always pushing forwards no matter what.

Weapons Officer
Knight-Captain Sebastian Hansel: Sebastian's service record originated from the Adeptus Terram. Several years ago, the man was leading a squad on patrol through an Al-Khalifiyan valley infested with native fighters, his convoy was ambushed. In the fighting, an IED took him and his entire vehicle out, resulting in the capture of himself and an additional three Birtonians. When they came to, they were being held somewhere in an obscure tribal village dug into the many ridge lines that lined the Fire Valley, along with a pair of Vannish soldiers. Within 8 hours of their internment the quick thinker devised a plot to free them of their captors utilizing boot laces and a few sticks strewn about their cage. Mission results were classified but ultimately he was responsible for the death of 12 enemy tribesmen and freeing all of his men plus the two Vannish troopers stuck with them.

Compared to his commander, the man is small in stature, only five feet, five inches and a solid one hundred and sixty five pounds, don't let that fool you though. Mr. Hansel is quick on his feet, literally and figuratively, the man can sprint 3 miles straight at a five minute pace and is regarded as one of the smartest in the team. The solutions he creates seem a little convoluted, especially as he's the opposite of his gung-ho commander, but they've been proven to work and his team will always trust his judgement in a sticky situation.

Engineering/Demo Officer
Knight-Captain Caroline Anders: Being a female officer is one thing, a female Imperial Ranger is another, however a female Engineer & Demolitions expert in the Imperial Military is so unheard of Caroline is literally the sole example of it. She began as a combat engineer serving with the 57th Amphibious Infantry Brigade,charged with clearing one of the most brutal beachheads of the 21st century. Highly entrenched enemies of the Imperium cost many a life that day, however if it weren't for Caroline specifically, commanders estimate two more infantry battalions would have been needed to sacrifice their lives to make a breach.

Most Birtonian women are relatively petite, being shorter than five feet, seven inches on the average and Ms. Anders is no exception. She sports dazzlingly bright blonde hair and a lighter complexion than most of her team mates, however keeps her body in a high state of maintenance, in order to carry the weight of her gear, and keep a competitive edge on her team mates. She's known as the one to introduce new techniques in their Physical Fitness routines as well as keeping most of the records throughout the Rangers.

Medical Officer
Master Chief Scribe Ricardo Lindon: Ricardo hails from the Lagkelos Isles in the southern Aegiscan sea, born to a highly skilled heart surgeon and quickly garnered a nigh unhealthy interest in medicine. Originally the man began his service term as a flight medic aboard the medical transports of the Adeptus Aerus, though state of the art medical equipment was standard, he longed for the high adrenaline, all or nothing call of combat medicine. Inevitably, his transfer request was approved and sent into front line combat with Light Infantry units. Years of gruesome wounds and hours of working on casualties gave Ricardo the experience he needed to transfer to the ultimate test of his skills. The Imperial Rangers.

Imperial Rangers pride themselves on physical strength, first and seconds squads more so. Those whom tower over their peers and have the bulk to back it up are among the most respected members of the elite unit. Ricardo is no exception to this, standing two inches taller than his commander, at six foot five inches and weighing a hefty two hundred and sixty pounds he's the embodiment of his enemy's nightmares.

Communications NCO
Senior Chief Petty Officer Evelynn Perkins: In certain situations, Imperium Militare forces cooperate with other branches in order to best bring firewpower raining down on the enemy. In Evelynn's example, she was an Adeptus Classis communications coordinator embedded with Adeptus Terram forces. Expert timing allowed Perkins to launch massive assaults on deeply fortified Al-Khalifiyan rebels, trading naval artillery and cruise missile salvoes with naval fighter-bomber runs over and over. She effectively suppressed what was later found to be an entire battalion worth of fighters in their walled off village, making her a hero amongst the sailors of the military, especially since they were often thought less of than the other branches.

One could confuse Evelynn with Caroline, both women with incredibly blonde hair, both at the same height, same build and frame. However only their physical appearance is the only similarity. Whilst Caroline has her incredibly competitive discipline, Evelynn takes a back seat to most of the showboating and exhibitionism that her squadmates prefer. She instead keeps to herself and is relatively shy compared to them, but when it comes time to work, there are none other that can outmatch her radio communications and coordination abilities.

Commissar
Commissar Benjamin Tomkin: As the need for the Commissariat formed, officers and NCO's from all paygrades and branches were plucked to serve The Imperium greater. Completely devoted to serving the Imperium, and of course The Imperator himself, during his training, the class was tasked out to assist Cura Condendi forces in dispelling dissidents backed by external powers and implementing martial law in the immediate area. He proved his worth here, apprehending dozens of enemy spies and civilian agitators and dispensing Imperial justice then and there. However, since his tasking to the second Ranger squad and Task Force Atlas, he's relaxed some of his regimented Imperial doctrine. Though this only came to fruition after Bill had a long, hard, truthful talk, making sure to point out that they needed to work closely with the other members of TF Atlas.

According to URA, who said According to Anowa, that we can continue KB without him. This is to Vacif, Nuc and Cruxa if you guys are still here.

I'm not too sure how we'll manage this without the actual op, but as long as we stay within the realms of realism, etc, and don't go too crazy, we should be able to accomplish it and continue on with something else if you three are still in.
