There are more than heat emissions hidden in stealth helos. Even the noise is cut out to an extent, especially the large chop chop which normally warns of a choppers approach. It is also pitch black and they’re watching road cameras. We also either used terrain to avoid radar or have enough evasion capabilities to avoid it. It’s also just a story. So I’m not worried about criticism.

They’re still somewhat visible to radar, but low enough to not be immediately identified at this junction. Keep in mind radar throws false calls and picks up random objects at times, so it may show up as noise back and forth.

We're free to post the start of hostilities right?

Or are we still waiting?

Yes you can post the start of aggression. You can have your team be the lead team. I’ll likely attach a solider to your unit and have them follow along. I’ll mainly do that so I can add to your post and keep things interactive.

As mentioned, I pretty much designed the small VSF team to be attachment type force multipliers meant to tag along on one team or another. So this is kind of by design. That’s why they don’t have a conventional squad.

Vangaziland wrote:Yes. I’m pretty sure I wrote that in the brief. It might be good to reread that. The OP team and the heavy weapons team were dropped off maybe 10 - 12 miles away and hiked in. That’s a schlep with equipment but that’s why these are tier 1 teams. That’s why these soldiers are in peak condition.

But yes, the stealth helos are landing straight on the roof. Part of the reason why is to keep this mission simple. It’s a basic warmup just to get back in the swing of TFA RP. There are still several factors and curveballs which will pop up. But we really need to not complicate things by design.

If we want the next mission to be super technical and complex, that’s cool. But let’s just shake off rust with this simple smash and grab.

There will also be several helos. So assume each team’s lands one after another... unless it’s only your team and mine on HVT. Because I’m only including one or two soldiers there. Still need to add my two newest to my roster.

Is all the space taken up yet, Because I'm thinking about bringing in my CIA Goons

Last question for real. How much control do we have over OPFOR within the building? Say, can we write about shooting an unprepared bad guy, or is that left to you?

Appearance/Description of Operator:

Biography of Unit: DARE Teams, formed in 2003 to provide support for Espionage and Counter-Insurgency on Monarchist and Communist Terror Cells, consist of a small, light and fast strike team of 4 Operators. DARE was founded by the Councils Intelligence Bureau (CIB) for this and other reasons, specializing in Direct Action and Recovery operations. Their main objective is to act as a scalpel where bayonets can't fit. Direct Action missions they do typically are raids against known hideouts for Intelligence gathering, HVT assassination/capture, and supply cutting. Retrieval consists of evacuating Intelligence Assets, whether they be Agents, a hard drive, or a piece of paper in a document. Their light and speedy tactics make them perfect operatives for these tasks but are not usually in prolonged operations numbering in months if they don't have to.

DARE Recruits from all branches of the military, including LG, as well as the nation's Bureau of Investigation and a number of other Agencies. All DARE Operatives are required to speak a 2nd or even 3rd Language in case they are deployed to a foreign nation. DARE is not apart of the military, but due to the Nation's military involvement in the Government apart of Vanzen Keene's reforms, DARE is also leashed to the Military Council as much as it is to the Civilian Government.

the Civilian and Military Councils have covertly assigned Bull Team to assist Task Force Atlas in their missions.
Operators of the Unit:

 • Aureleahs "Artur" Horsahgher - 35 - Aureleahs Horsahgher is from Downtown Bogt, notably from the worst parts of town. Kicked out at a young age, Aureleahs found himself working in the Underground for the Mafia, which Mafia he won't say, and what he did he also won't. At some point, given a choice between rotting in a prison cell or joining the Army, he was put through basic. Aureleahs didn't thrive in the Army as most would expect naively. In fact, he hated it. Though eventually, he learned to get through it with friends in his unit, like most Troopers in his generation, he was then deployed to Eastern Donner Land in to fight against the Insurgent Communist Forces in 2003 through 2008 in the "Treehouse" as being deployed to Eastern Rural Donner Land was known. Showing some special aptitude after a number of actions with his team, most famously capturing an Insurgent HVT alive who was known to be responsible in some way for the bombings in January 2003 before the War started, he was given a formal invitation by the LG but rejected it, Instead, he went for a much more subtle and less famous option with the CIB in the recently formed DARE Units. They were, in his own words, "More my Style." Artur knows Kanji due to his experience in the Donnish Mafia.
 • Yree "Lans" Inosover - 29 - A 2nd Generation Treehouse Veteran, Yree Inosover is from Tutten. He grew up a son of a priest who lives on the Mountain the city was named after. Bored with singing carols and wanting to make an impact on people's lives and adventure. Yree joined the same unit and squad as Aureleas. He wasn't welcomed at first, as the person he replaced was respected, killed in action by an I.E.D implanted within a Tree. Sooner or later, Yree's comedic personality was gotten used to. He and Aureleas had been noticed after getting that Insurgent HVT, Yree didn't want to leave the Treehouse, but some convincing got to him telling him they would do more and better work with them probably, and he relented, shrugging, and stuck with him ever since as a friend and advisor, acting as a second in command due to their relationship. Lans' Brother was born deaf, because of this, Lans knows Common Sign language, instead of a conventional oral language.
 • Ralaehl "Si'ke" Dozortorehg - 32 - Ralaehl is from a Coastal Island Village connected by one road over a bridge to the mainland. The life there was isolated and being the only kid there sobered his childhood. Life was work to keep his house, and working around the town for other houses, clean and maintained. He matured quickly, and eventually after his parents were simply too old for him to be able to take care of them effectively, he left to the cities. Looking for a quick job in Varia City, a city northwest of Bogt in the Varia Province, he eventually settled on being a Police Officer. Working his way up, he gained a Degree in Psychology and afterward worked hard enough to become a Detective with the Varia Police Department. He gained some local notoriety after a number of busts on organized crime, mostly operations of the Mafia. It's a joke between him and Aureleahs that had things been different, it might have been him arresting Aureleahs. Eventually, he got under someone's skin, who got him booted up to the Federal Bureau as a Psychological Analyst and Field Agent through some string-pulling in the Government. As the war was going on, Ralaehl was offered a position in the CIB with an experimental initiative as a volunteer, no stranger to being a plainclothes Cop he accepted. He did not expect however the scope of this experimental unit. His Psychology experience helps to narrow down what HVT's might be thinking or what their next move might be, as well as general advice with the subject. In the time it took Si'ke to get his Masters in Psychology, he also learned some Anowan.
 • Lohgint "Caduce" Eretiehn - 26 - Youngest in the group, Lohgint is from the suburbs of Bogt. His life was planned from the start, even with a planned marriage, until he caught wind of this from his Parents as a teenager and rebelled, running from home. Now with no support or way to fit into society, he went from city to city until he was an adult rail hopping. Now with an intimate knowledge of trains, Lohgint after the worst of the major conflict in the east was over decided to enlist in the Donnish Air Group. With low standards, he didn't expect to become a Pilot or anything too ridiculous. Lohgint during training eventually got into Military life and decided to try and do more, seeing that walking around Donner Land and being in the military was all he really knew. Lohgint then volunteered for joining Para-Rescue. After some time of passing through the various phases of that training, Lohgint graduated at age 23. After participating in operations in Donner Land itself, Sishai and fighting in the 2nd Helsan War. He had distinguished himself enough to earn a call from DARE after the War for when he and his Team, loyal to Keenes, had helped extract Vanzen Keenes to lead the Coup, assisting Foreign Operators. Due to his medical training, he is the designated Medic despite not knowing what a Caduce is, and a Train Engineer. Caduce due to his time in other nations knows a little Arabic, which is good enough to let him in on DARE.

I'd say, if you want, the base application works fine, though to clear up confusion, I'd suggest putting at least everyone down you plan on getting attached to TFA.

Whether or not you break said team down into smaller units that then work on missions is fine.

Example: The squad I normally use is standing at 9 7 iic, and they're all on the base app, but if a mission only needs 3 or 4 of them, then that's who ends up in the mission.

As for the operator profile, those are for NPCs, HVTs, or if you're wanting to put some detail down and expand upon your individual operators. Or in Vang's case, he had a team of two at one point, and just made operator profiles for each of them as it wasn't too big a deal.

Not sure if it's really all that confusing. I think I understand what you're trying to get at though. Was going moreover for establishing the Alpha Detachment as being TFA-based, with the members of the Alpha Detachment rotating to suit specialties and those getting rotated off being placed in retainer as established Charlie-409 personnel.

The whole of Charlie-409 is probably close to 60 or so personnel split into 3 Groups and furthermore broken down into 2-4 man Detachments. At most, there's probably going to be a total of 15 operators in all, but I'll hold off any activity until that's been entirely filled out.

There’s room Donner.

Also, you’re free to take over the OPFOR in your part if you’d like Anowa. I learned that people enjoy having the OP through curveballs with the OPFOR. Though I also enjoy taking over a bit of the OPFOR as non OP at times. So feel free to add them to your story.

I may still hop in and move certain replies to the next step though..

Mmmm, that's about the upper/max limit of what I'd consider accepting, and I'd normally only let people I know aren't retarded deal with that big of a footprint.

I can work with that. It’s definitely well written. The HVTs were technically not on the top floor, but one below that. But that’s still not a bad start. Someone had to take those officers out on the top floor anyway. I can have another team sneak to the fourth floor (instead of fifth) with a side stairwell. If the roof was wide enough to land two helos, we can assume the Anowa SF team measured out enough charge to keep the blast away from the opposite side’s stairwell. I’m sure the blast could also be seen as strong enough to rip through the entire top floor and open a hole to the HVTs a floor down.

We can roll with the flow and improv off each other. It’s creative, it does help keep an element of surprise. Also expect that blast to be “the sign” which lets the observation team immediately call for support. I’m thinking they might just call MLRS if I have that as an asset. If not the observer will lase the missile in while the aircraft launches it from quite far.

I actually trained on that type of thing and know even non stealth aircraft can have their bombs guided in from outside of SAM range.

I’ll get a post up tomorrow building off that and setting the stage for the other HVT team and SEAD strike.

Oh, I know they aren't the HVTs, the explicitly mentioned officer was one of the junior officers you mentioned. I leave the Willie Pete'd lad's rank up to you.

Okay, sounds good. Figured I’d at least speak of it to provide a play by play for the others who also hope to hop in. They will definitely be confused from that sort of arrival. I look forward to building off that from the OPFOR and second team’s perspective.

(Image) or Name of Outfit Here

Biography of Unit: After the major civil war broke out in Usea, special units, armies, and other various military entities on either side kicked out members in fear that they were traitors. These former members came together to form their own faction, The Free Militia Units of Usea. They work for themselves, money, or causes they deem worth fighting for. These men, whose numbers are unknown, have agreed to stick together and fight together until a clear winner to the civil war comes out on top. Whether it be the ISAF loyalists or the Usean separatists.

Operators of the Unit:
Task Unit Lead Jocko Halsey- Hailing from the North Point Falcons, while he was a decorated member of the ISAF SF he was kicked out during the purges. Due to certain testimonies that he held sympathies for the separatist side of the civil war. Jocko is the lead member of Task Unit Jaguar, and leads them well. With experiences from the Barian revolution, and counter-terror ops within the states of Usea he has proven a very capable leader.

Medical Expert and Signaller Ian Volpe- Volpe hails from the Erusean Blackjacks. Erusea, split between the ISAF loyalists and the extremist separatists, made a perfect battleground for ideologies. Volpe secretly supported the separatists and converted to the separatist cause but was eventually kicked out because his brother had been found harboring ISAF loyalists. He found his way to the Free Militia by word of mouth and now works under Jocko. Jocko found Volpe's expertise as a Blackjack very useful, as every Blackjack is a medic. Jocko needed one, so he made Volpe the unit's medic and signaller.

Weapons Expert and Psych Warfare Operator Zachary Townes- Townes hails as a regular among the faceless ISAF Army ranks. Townes served as a regular of the PSYOPS division of the army and was also trained as a heavy weapons expert. Thanks to the Army requiring dual expertise in 2 subjects, Townes found it easy to integrate into the Free Militia when he was discharged from the army due to the army finding a magazine from the separatists. The magazine had been planted however, and he was kicked out for a crime he never committed. He now serves Jocko as his Psych Warfare and heavy weapons expert.

Rifleman and Marksman Roger Kaine- Kaine served with the separatists as soon as the civil war kicked off. He was trained by the ISAF Marines to be a sniper, and used that knowledge against his fellow countrymen. He was a feared sniper of the separatists, but thanks to being in the wrong place at the wrong time, he was kicked out for reasons he will not disclose. He stumbled upon the Free Militia and was appointed to Jocko's team as the sniper of the group. He also serves as the general rifleman whenever the mission calls for it.

You can be in a backup helo as QRF. Maybe there is room for a ground extraction team as backup or something, perhaps with a plan to head north (or maybe NE) away from the western cliffs. Doing some running around today, so my next post might be later today or even tomorrow. A steady pace is fine as long as we keep the ball rolling.

I like that fast start so far, as far as the IC flow to action.

Task Force Atlas Personnel File

Image

Name: Petty Officer First Class Zachary Jones
Alias: Oreo
Unit: 3rd Special Operations Squad, 1st Battalion, Remnant Sentinels
Role: Medic
Age: 33
Height: 178cm
Weight: 75kg
Birthplace: Twin Falls, United Remnant Avtarkiya, Greater Remnant Cooperation Sphere
Biographical Information: Growing up as a minority, Jones's life wasn't particularly privileged, even though his parents were well-to-do white collar workers. Jones always felt a target on his back as a young Torian man on the streets of Twin Falls. This knowledge pushed Jones to defeat the stereotypes as a young man and earn his place academically to go to medical school. However, during his third year in school, the Remnant Military came through the university on their routine recruitment drive, and Jones felt an opportunity to enlist, using his experience from medical school to enlist in the Remnant Army as a medic. Since medics who can also willingly enter combat are a rare and valued mix of abilities, Jones found himself being fast-tracked into the special forces community as a Sentinel.
Psychological Profile: Jones is an oddity. His skillset makes him highly valuable, and he seems to know this. The man does not waste a second of time being humble, and he will actively complain about any tasks he sees as unnecessary. His professionalism shines through only in high-stress situations, where his attitude and sarcasm evaporate, only to be replaced by the intensity of a combat medic in his prime. At the very least, his childhood stress of being a minority seems to have dissipated since his entrance into the military and the brotherhood of special forces.
Training: Remnant Army Training, Combat Medical Training, Advanced Combat Triage Training, Sentinel Training, Special Forces Medical Training.
Notable Experience: Medical School, Remnant-Zhanguanese War, Task Force Atlas
Typical Loadout: R13 Sub-Machine Gun, M23-45 Pistol, 2 Mark 5 Multipurpose Grenades, 1 R1P Sensor Grenade, CEW1 Taser, MPGE Medical Kit, Trauma Foam Injector, 1kg PCL.
Theme Song: Immigrant Song - Led Zeppelin
Notes: Most likely to become a surgeon after service.
