Biography of Unit: The Special Air Service, commonly abbreviated to SAS, is a special forces regiment of the Scotrian Army, first active from 1941 to 1945, then from 1947 onward. They conduct diverse unconventional warfare. Before entering, soldiers go through a difficult training course called "Selection". If a soldier passes, they are transferred into either the air, boat, or mobility unit. As well as this, all three regiments that form the Special Air Service have a main and reserve counter-terrorism unit.

History: Seamus Cowden hails from the upper tip of the Scottish Highlands. Due to his imposing physical stature and athleticism, he found early success as the Captain of the 1998 Scotrun National under-20 Rugby Union Team. A strong desire for public service inspired Cowden to enlist in the army at 18, after five years of active duty, he was recruited by the SAS

Psychological Profile: Cowden displays natural leadership qualities, likely developed during his amateur sports career. His comfort on the front line can be attributed to his confidence and tactical experience


Mike “Thatcher” Baker

History: Born into a family of stevedores, Baker enlisted for active military duty on his eighteenth birthday. A veteran of three wars, Baker is the oldest SAS operative on active duty.

Psychological Profile: Highly observant, calculating and decisive, Baker’s demeanor may denote traces of impatient cynicism, but he possesses a profound sense of ethical responsibility. He does best when assigned with junior operators of strong moral conviction, whom he can mentor.

History: Chandar graduated from secondary school at the age of twelve. A science prodigy, he was accepted into The UniDepartment of Engineering at fourteen after completing an internship at a British tech company during his gap year, working on prototypes for a new security system.

Psychological Profile: Chandar is highly intelligent and analytical. He is used to being the youngest and smartest one in the room. A man of few words, he prefers brevity and clarity to extemporizing. His curt nature is easily misconstrued as rudeness.


James “Smoke” Porter

History: Porter was not an academic, although in secondary school, he excelled in science. He took a particular interest in biology and the unit on dissection. During his gap year, Porter enlisted in the British Army, using a fake ID to circumvent parental consent. His extensive experience with biochemicals earned him a spot on the SAS.

Psychological Profile: He is a known thrill seeker with very little regard for his personal safety. He is fearless in battle and can be a great asset for defensive maneuvers, however he seems to enjoy the havoc and chaos of war.

Jacob “The Wall” Stephens

History: The son of a Scotrian Army officer and school teacher, Jacob’s family was stationed near Edinburgh. A few years after he graduated from high school, Jacob became a member of the Scotrian National Guard. Dedicating his life to the defense work, his commitment has allowed him to obtain a position on the SAS.

Psychological Profile: Jacob has seen his share of battlefield horrors but is mentally resilient. He uses humor to disarm and as a device to manage stress during operations. He is the first to rush a barricade and is always willing to place the team's safety over his own. Jacob rejects the concept that his deeds are in some way heroic. When faced with overt praise, he will become self-effacing.

Wallace “Hawkeye” Taylor

Primary Weapons: L115 Sniper Rifle, AR33M Assault Rifle (M=marksman, DMR variant)

History: Wallace was born and raised in Wales, Scotrun where his father worked in the shipping industry. It was here that Wallace studied art in secondary school until a Scotrian Army demonstration inspired him to transfer to the Cadet Corps and pursue a career in the armed forces. Afterwards, he attended the Scotrian Military Commanders Training Academy before joining the Scotrian Army and later the SAS.

Psychological Profile: While he doesn't thrive in large groups, Wallace is known to be engaging and expressive in one-on-one conversations. He has a patient temperament and can be very introspective. With his background as an artist, his curiosity, and attention to detail has trained him to be mindful and precise, making Wallace an excellent spotter and sniper. As a skilled painter, Wallace’s art is expressive and colorful which is a stark contrast to his military life.

To be honest, I love the game but I am realistic enough to forgo the gadgets and operate like a real counterterrorism unit. Mute doesn't have his disruptors, Smoke is banned from biochemical weapons, ect. If I need to redo my application I understand.

Looks like Kreno just posted as I did this write up. I'd say he may want to start his OP. To answer their question, when a mission shrivels up, we don't normally switch OPs... So he should start.

Cao Lingxin seized power after a joint Vannish-Tainese SF raid on the island nation of Yanjin's former leader. General Cao is becoming more ambitious. As expected, various leaders are claiming dominion over the island. Various groups of soldiers follow their own chain of command, as their officers declare themselves the island's new leader.

Cao is proving to be one of the most dangerous. He has held major executions and has sent his army to terrorize the city of Hengdao. There are reports that he is entering human trafficking and hopes to continue the island nation's legacy of enslaving its population.

SE of Hengdao and directly West of Yueping on the SW edge of the island, a discreet complex has been located. There is a barracks adjacent to an HQ facility. There is also a supply depot and a motorpool north of these two buildings. A 7.62 MG nest connected to a bunker watches over the HQ and barracks. A guard post blocks the road from the east.

A scout team will climb the side of the cliff, move through the forest and establish an Observation Post (OP). It will include observers tasked with controlling air and indirect fire assets. They will arrive the night before and provide 18-24 hours of overwatch before 'Phase 2'.

That starts when 4 WZ551 apcs arrive as 'reinforcements' the Yan guards are expecting. This is set up by rebels connected to Cao. The commander of the lead vic will be known to the gate guards and should be waved in. Joint Tainese-rebel Yan crews will man each vehicle. Those vehicles will take up positions around the two main buildings. As soldiers begin to infil the buildings two things occur.

Indirect Fire on the ZSU-23-4 emplacement (which will then shift to the depot, then to the motorpool). Two tanks on position near the road will be detonated by plastic explosives. The tanks are manned by rotating guard shifts. Inside sources will hide explosives in each tank during their shifts.

Assault teams will raid the two facilities, storming the two main buildings from 2-3 angles.

Air superiority assets will be in place. Exfil will be by helicopter. Rappel lines will be in place for secondary egress down the cliff, to the beach (set by scout team after their infil). Three Tainese Mark V small boats will be on standby as reserve exfil option.

Rebel apcs will exfil back east.

Primary Objectives: Terminate Cao Lingxin
Secondary Objectives: Destroy Supply Depot, Recover HQ Intel
Parameters: Do Not Capture, Deconflict Air Space, Sniper/Scouts Use Silencer
OpFor: 40-50 (4 at gate, 30 in barracks, 7-10 in HQ, 5-6 near supply/motorpool)
