Two years have passed since the Dutch Insurrection in the Nederrijnland, which had the world waiting with their eyes peeled. The international community waited for the armies of Noxtrem and Vanavoy to fight to the death in the low countries, but that prediction changed when the Noxtremians formulated an alliance with Vanavoy and joined the Kaiserbund after a coup d'etat. After Noxtrem left the VEDRUPOL Pact to make mends with the ever-expanding Kaiserbund, the Dutch nationalists were quickly eradicated and the grip on the low countries was ever more tightened.

Before, during and after the crushing of the Dutch revolt, many major international events took place. Many nations re-militarized and researched and created new military equipment. Countries like Kohlneas expanded their tourist empire to more destinations across the globe. Vanavoy expanded their colonial empire and began extracting the rich resources of Africa. Cultist terrorists plagued the streets of countries like Eloria. Many nations changed and joined military alliances. Condemnations and threats were made by all sides to all sides. Colonial empires grew and shrunk. The Nationalist Gold Union annexed their former ally of Kannsa-Minnesota. Panjal annexed their southern neighbor, Kata. All these events led to the greatest powderkeg of all.

On March 7th, 2022, the Militant Drugstore of Walgreens began marching a small regiment of soldiers into the Noxtremian province of Salzburg, provoking a quickly-escalating war between many of the world's major powers. Vanavoy, the Nationalist Gold Union, Worris, the Miltonia, Narnagaesia, and the Jerusalemites quickly got involved in the conflict against Walgreens,
deadset that the war would be quick. However, this plan came to a halt very quickly. Two of Walgreens' VEDRUPOL Pact allies, Sietsk and Szcyzt, got involved in the war. The conflict only escalated from there. The Narnagaesians, unable to contain the Walgreensian onslaught, quickly signed a peace deal to end the conflict on that front. The Jerusalemites, who couldn't contain the invasion and attacks brought unto them by a club of SCO members, surrendered territory to remove themselves from the conflict as well. After that, the kingdom faced a religious conflict that resulted in the Jewish monarchy being replaced with an Orthodox Christian patriarchy. The NGU invaded Sietsk along with the New Kalmar Republic, which initially went smooth but turned against the Kalmarese as the conflict continued (due to mercenaries from several Asian countries coming to the rescue). Meanwhile, in Europe, Noxtrem and Vanavoy made small pushes into Walgreensian territory, but due to military limitations, have found difficulty in doing so.

It's very clear that this war has no foreseeable end in sight. All it takes to change the balance of power is a switch of alliances or a declaration of war to open another front...

Another division of 10,000 men is to also accompany this equipment.
They will aid the 75,000 men already stationed in Narnagaesia. 

Lastly, I am ordering 5 Eurofighter Tycoons, 10 F-22 Raptors, 3 F-35 Lightings, and 2 B-1B Bombers to land at a military airfield in south-eastern Narnagaesia. 
In addition, crates of FOABS will be sent to this airfield. I want 20 total for now.

Attrition Campaign in Lower Carniola

December 25, 2023

Due to NGU forces pushing USSS troops out of Ljubljana in September, USSS troops are now occupying the hilly terrain of lower Carniola. To weaken garrisons in Slovenia, Vanavoian Bergsteiger Divisions, who are trained rigorously and specialize in Mountain and Winter Warfare, have begun a campaign of Attrition against enemy troops in the area. The campaign will consist of guerrilla attacks made on enemy troops, the looting of supply lines, and sabotage of enemy infrastructure. Air Support will accompany this campaign as a bomber force is tasked with attacking high priority targets such as Novo Mesto, Celje, and Zagreb. The Sava River will be used as a strategic asset to aid in missions run by the Bergsteigers. Accompanying these attacks, NGU tank divisions are making a light push to apply pressure to the front lines. Thanks to help from the NGU, Vanavoian troops will be able to conduct their campaign in relative peace. If the Soviets were to reassign troops to deal with operation behind lines, the NGU would be ready to break Soviet lines enough for Vanavoian light armor to encircle the Soviets. The NGU's M1A3 Abrams is very complementary to the Vanavoian Fuchs II light tanks. What the former lacks in mobility, the latter makes up for, and what the latter lacks in durability, the former makes up for. A major attack is planned for sometime in the spring, but when or where the attack will happen is unclear. Research on the BK-19/2, a slightly heavier variant of the BK-19 submachine gun, is also coming to a close and deployment of the weapon will begin shortly.

A further 50,000 troops have been drafted into the Wännischewehr. However, these troops were unexpectedly deployed in Noxtrom controlled Tyrol where military engineers are constructing bunkers in the Alps. The Imperial Senate officially issued a request for the territory to be transferred to Vanavoy control, although this in merely a request not a demand. The Imperial Senate has also inquired about the possibility of buying the region. Since Noxtrem is the greatest ally of Vanavoy and the two are allowing fellow troops to enter each others territory, this occupation is not to be seen as an act of war, but instead as a friendly reminder that perhaps Vanavoy would take better care of the people there than Noxtrem would. After all, the people who live there are obviously Vanavoian Germans not Noxtremian Germans. The reason for the occupation is simple: the Vanavoian Government doesn't feel that Noxtrem is sufficiently protecting the people of Tyrol and has volunteered to protect the people there purely out of charity.

January 8, 2024 Polls Close, Results are In The 1-week period for all eligible citizens in the NGU to vote has come to a close, and all votes have been tallied. In results that shock nobody, the currently governing party, the National Reactionary Committee, won the most seats and now has a complete supermajority over the Supreme Diet. In other words: not much has changed. New number of seats in the Supreme Diet The National Reactionaries gained 18 seats, the Conservatives lost 11, the National Socialists lost 8, and the Libertarian Republicans lost 5. New Destroyers launched, 8 new hotels open, new RSSL ships, siege of Djibouti & Eritrea continue, Ethiopia & Sudan formally annexed!

At the first press briefing of the new year, Chronicle reporters learned that the siege of Djibouti and Eritrea continue. Admiral Novrakech, the ranking military officer in overall command of Operation FORRESTER, reported that rebels have been without resupply of food and water for months. After a two-year production process, 10 new Androctonus-class destroyers have been launched. Complimenting the destroyers, 30 Mi-28 attack helicopters were produced (each destroyer is capable of carrying 3). The destroyers represent a significant increase to Kohlneasian bluewater capability. 02:00: TALOS-II Task Force Sierra mobilized via commandeered news helicopter.
02:30: Sierra arrived at point Kilo. 2 km outside of Kichkalnya, Sietsk.
02:45: Sierra went through the entire town, silently rounding up citizens.
02:50: First OPFOR encountered in the form of 2 Law Enforcement officers. They were detained and brought along with the civilians.
03:45: All of the city's residents were rounded up in front of the town hall.
03:50: All Sietskian party workers and mayor, were hung from the town hall's roof. Then they were shot by Sierra to ensure they were deceased.
04:00: All civilians were shot and then nailed to lightposts/telephone poles that lined the streets.
04:30: Sierra raided a local armory, gathering weapons and copying down several terabytes of information from hard drives before erasing them. Then proceeded to Kilo for extraction, after setting several buildings on fire.
05:00: Task Force Sierra destroyed the helicopter and rendezvoused with local cell.
23:46 Task Force Sierra arrived back at HQ after confirming they were not followed, witnessed or seen, and no evidence was left behind.

Millitary Mobilization

Recently conflicts between foreign nations have been rising steadily. A while back Walgreens declared war on Noxtrem and his allies in the Kaiserbund. Kaiserbund responded with the attack on Walgreens, however, Worris didn't feel the need to send thousands of brave men to fight against Walgreens. A group of volunteers under the command of Nationalist Gold Union commanders led the attack against Walgreens.

However, times are changing. Emperor Peutan has declared the allocation of 1 million reserve personnel to be put into the main active army. Additionally, he has conscripted another 500,000 soldiers to be trained and form new divisions. Some civilian factory complexes have been converted to military factories, which will help us produce large amounts of new weaponry.

This doesn't mean war in any way, it is only a preparation in case something happens without warning.

The Six-Point Plan

Earlier today, I introduced my plan to Congress regarding the next few years I will spend in office. I have now made the document official to the public, but I will also provide a summary so as to not take up your time.

"The Six Point Plan: Reforming Panjal"

Point 1: Create welfare programs for the poor, disabled, and elderly. These programs will be along the lines of medical payment aid, paid maternity leave, and assistance for the homeless.

Point 2: Increase education spending. Not only for our public school system, but for scientific advancement organizations such as PISS.

Point 3: Decrease military spending. Our military is immense for our size, as we have what remains of our former military dictatorship. The ridiculous spending in the military can be put to use in many places, such as above.

Point 4: Encourage small business. As many Panjali citizens start up their own businesses, they are bound to face hardships. We will be providing government incentives to start up businesses, and decreasing taxes for small business owners.

Point 5: Encourage local government participation. Many Panjali citizens have never had the opportunity to witness a legislative meeting, or even to meet their representatives. Bus and train systems will be set up nationally to allow citizens to partake in the legislative process.

Point 6: Rebuild urban areas. Cities such as Ahmedabad and Islamabad saw immense amounts of combat in the revolution, which has devastated the infrastructure of urban areas. We need to rebuild and aid our inner cities.

I hope to see this plan be completed within my six-year term, and I have the highest hopes for our new nation. We as a people now have the opportunity to rise from the ashes of our past, and create a truly united Panjal.

Modernization of the Jerusalemite Navy

The time has come for our navy to increase in size and power. Therefore, several new naval projects are being implemented to help increase the power of the Jerusalemite Naval Forces. To help offset some of the costs of the new projects, military spending is being increased to 16.5% of our GDP.

Firstly, a series of 5 new Arleigh-Burke-class destroyers are going to be constructed. Also, a line of 10 new Sa'ar 6-class corvettes will also be added. 2 Virginia-class attack submarines are also going to be constructed and added to the fleet. While conventional attack craft are all fine and good, the Jerusalemite Navy lacks in other aspects. To help alleviate this, two Fort Victoria-class replenishment oilers are to be constructed and added to the fleet.

Hopefully, these new additions will help to increase the size and strength of the Jerusalemite Navy.

Rebellion crushed! Order is restored!

The anarcho-capitalist rebellion has been crushed. During the advance by the IV Armored and IX Afrika under the command of Admiral Novrakech, rebel leaders barricaded themselves inside the People's Palace, Djibouti. X Mountain personnel assaulted the compound and engaged the anarchists in close-quarters combat. X Mountain took 2 casualties in the firefight, eliminating all hostiles.

With rebel leadership destroyed, IV Armored set up security checkpoints while IX Afrika went street-by-street rounding up civilian collaborators. All told, nearly 10,000 civilians were taken into custody. Also in Djibouti, several hundred McMercenaries were taken prisoner. They have been taken into custody aboard Novrakech's flagship, the Ivanka for questioning. It is still to be determined whether these mercenaries will be executed, returned to their home country, or retained under new contracts working for the Directorate.

With the end of the rebellion comes recovery. As the streets of Eritrea and Djibouti are cleared of the aftermath and security restored, The Spring Palace (in Djibouti) is scheduled to open next month. Due to the delay, the first round of visitors will have their reservation fees waived.

Our military has continued to be pushed back through the fall and winter. Helsinki has fallen to the Sietskan-led coalition against us. Our military has been forced to remain on the defense over the past few months. Since February, we have been locked in another stalemate against the Sietskan Coalition. Our air force has been focused more on defending our Anti-Air Assets and our other forces in the field. We will continue to hold back the offence for as long as we can. A counter-offence against the offensive is very unlikely. We do not have the manpower, or the resources available to launch a successful counter-offence for now. Due to this our forces will maintain a purely defensive focus. We hope we will be able to maintain this war of attrition.
