Several cargo airships lifted off with a modification to them turning them into bombers. Against the judgement of the president and the Federal congress, a silent coup had occurred, the president just vanished. The company providing the airships had been secretly told to mount bomb racks, each cargo airship had a large bomb payload the objective was to carpet bomb any defenses on the boarder while three other airships offloaded 1,200 soldiers and four t-72 tanks to secure the boarder before the main force attacked from their garrison spots with the objective of taking the capital within a week. The new shadow government was ruled by a group called simply 'the corporation', it was time for Smue to have a beach and build a navy.

"Airship group A, your clear to take off, eliminate all boarder targets with extreme prejudice, we will have fighter-bombers providing close air support after we lost the surprise along with our fighters. It's time to serve the corporation. We got the transports landing as well." Said a voice over the radio.

The mighty diesel engines on the airship fired up with a few back fires, the high performance engines revved up violently as the large crafts began lifting off and reaching their max cruising speed of 155 MPH the ships with the bombs gave the appearance of a loaded cargo blimp that normally flew over the small nation to the north. It was time for war...

The airship captain got on the radio, "This is the SAC Windward, requesting permission to pass over your airspace as well as 8 other airships." The captain set the radio down and waited for a reply as the air ships slowed. The last two straggling airships caught up with the group and waited as well.

The captain looked over at the commander, "Wonder if we will make it out of here alive?"

"I'm not sure, we got a job to do, if all else I can arm the bomb while they are still in the racks and have all that explosives plus this airship, make it the world largest grenade." Replied the Commander.

"Well lets wait, if they attack and this thing goes down I'm aiming for a city." Said the Captain.

The early warning radar system in the Smiertovo air force base has been ringing off like clockwork starting at 2025 hours, Bielarusian ATC had already tried to contact the inbound aircraft but to no avail. Eventually the message came from the ATC that the objects approaching the border were much too large to be passenger liners or cargo planes, the alert went out and all air defenses from 2K22 Tunhuska hybrid SPAAGs with autocannons and surface-to-air missiles to larger and more powerful S-300PS surface-to-air missiles being prepped immediately. Bielarusian MiG-29BMs stationed at the base were immediately scrambled to protect the base from any threat that dared come against it, a warning call to all bases and military personnel within a hundred-kilometer radius was sent out. Meanwhile, along the coast, the vast Bielarusian Naval forces were alerted to the threat and immediately left ports to avoid being caught off guard. The sheer number of contacts appearing on radar were irrefutably an attempt at invasion from Bielarus' eastern neighbor: Smue. Within fifteen minutes of the alert being sent out, units of the Bielarusian Territorial Defense Battalions and the nearby 16th Guards Motor Rifle Brigade were already gearing up and preparing to buy as much time for the rest of the Ground Forces to get ready for the coming attack. By 2050 hours, air raid sirens that had been silent since the war that won Bielarus it's independence from the Elesarian Empire (Eliesarskaja Impieryja) were again used, and the citizens of the capital Vatiankino hid in the deep Metro system below the city. Meanwhile, the President was informed of the invasion and moved to a bunker under the presidential residence, where she addressed the nation as the first contact between Bielarusian and Smuean forces was made all along the border. In some areas, the enemy forces successfully carried out their initial mission; but in other areas, where the Bielarusian forces were fully ready for them, the attackers were taught how stubborn Bielarus' resistance would be. While Bielarusians were scared about being in another war (they have not been in a war since the revolutions in Parakos in the 90s) they were supremely confident that their land would be protected, because if they could beat an Empire, what fool would dare try to take their land from it's rightful holders.
