THE FLEET PUTS TO SEA!
Federal Chancellor Lord Admiral A. M. D. Tanqueray watches the fleet put to sea
"THE FLEET put to sea today, in the largest naval deployment since the Slavery War with Doomingsland. Two new fleet groups, Force D and Force F, have been formed up and deployment has begun. While numbers are still classified, the Telegraph has learned that at least fifty Battle Carrier Squadrons are to be deployed. This will make it the largest naval deployment for thirty years and something is to be said about the force names given; both formations have Battle Stars from the Four Day War. Today is a day that all Questarians can be proud of as we see first hand that our country is not the relic that our denegrators accuse! No longer is Questaria the sick man of Haven but again a force that can be reckoned with on the international stage. Questarian arms are a sight indeed to behold. This day will surely go down in history as the day when Questers proved to the world that our civilisation will not wither and die like so many have believed!
This deployment comes at a time when Questaria itself is fighting a campaign overseas against the tyranny of slavery. Already Questaria has bombed a slave holding nation and every hour her fleets advance nearer to the coasts of slaver nations in the world: the entire nation holds its breath as conflict approaches. Our fleet deployments to Denecaep had frightened off the hyenas in Brewdomia and Ralkovia who threatened an innocent country with war, and they shall do so again, with the Grace of God. It is the sincere belief of this publication that no other nation in history has the determination or the strength of arms to bring about an end to the slave trade. If negotiations with Gholgoth are to go ahead, as elements of the Foreign Office have hinted at, the existence of slavery within that region will likely be a point of discussion.
More mysteriously, the location of deployments is still classified and leaks are being guarded viciously by the Admiralty. Many suspect that the Navy deployments are in light of the recent Gholgoth message of resurgence; some believe that Questers prepares to challenge a Gothic menace to world freedom; others that Questers herself, a staunch member of the "old order" and a previous international imperial power, sets herself ready to re-assert her imperial dominance, with or without the aid of Gholgoth. Recent colonial expansion in our region makes this view all the more probable, in the opinion of this publication, but one thing is for clear: it can only be Providence itself that has seen both Questaria and Gholgoth enter into a resurging phase in their history at the same time as one another. Whether traditional enemies can become friends will be up to diplomats on both side."
