TODAY at 05:13 Versilian Standard Time, a video was released to the whole world containing images of torture, humiliation and eventually inhumane execution committed against three imprisoned Iron Skull nationals. The crime was committed in an abandoned homestead in the Dolmati Alps on the Central Island, near Marepoca Prison for Foreign Criminals.

The images and video showed three Iron Skull nationals being tortured with hot fireplace pokers, knives and beatings. One of whom, identified as inmate Jack Kanz, 32, was stomped to death in front of his fellow inmates, camera and the soldiers who carried out the abduction and crimes.

There were two other inmates killed, one unidentified as of this time and another being Marie Houre, 25, an Iron Skull pirate who murdered a couple in their hotel room. Marie was then beaten and dragged outside the crumbling house, with the soldiers verbally abusing her and then stabbing her in the limbs with their combat knives. They then forced inmate Marie to stare at the camera before they shot her in the eye, killing her instantly. The last inmate hasn't been identified, nor has their body been found, as they were burnt alive and then their body dragged away to be dumped elsewhere.

The overseer of the cells where the inmates were held, who has chosen to remain anonymous, stated this:
"I am both saddened, and horrified by this abuse of inmates by these soldiers. They had no jurisdiction to take those inmates out of the prison and then proceed to commit these acts against them."

The organizer of the crime, Platoon Leader Michael Hussel, 64, stated that they felt no remorse at all, as they argued 'why should I feel remorse for a bunch of animals? Hel, why is this even a crime? Inferior races don't deserve human rights, because they're not human.'
Mr. Hussel has said he only believes those of the Iron Skull race and nationality are inferior, and has no qualms with dark persons, Asians or Caucasians.

Galactic Current News: Prisoners extrajudicially murdered by Versilian troops

Reports have filtered in via sources in the Prism Service of a group of prisoners from the nation of Iron Skull being executed by their imprisoners, soldiers of the state of the Islands of Versilia, on videotape. Outside of a crumbling house in an alpine location the group, comprising three prisoners, were beaten, stabbed, stomped, and burned alive by the Versilian soldiers. The timestamp of this event was uncertain but the video was released into the access of the Prism Service today.
Presently all eyes are on the Union Tower in New York, waiting for a response from President Julian Agricola-Nordstrom and Secretary-General Inkorath Paine's official secretaries. The Twitter account of Secretary-General Paine tweeted, "Heard about torture and murder of prisoners- this is why HRC exists". The account of President Agricola-Nordstrom was silent except to say that a press conference "was imminent".
Politicians across the UCE have weighed in. Congresswoman Valera Valesmadea (HDL, Ausine) tweeted that "more must be learned, but justice will be served". The High Commissioner for Human Rights, Yulia Xijang, posted on the official HRC blog that "the Enforcement Corps will begin an investigation soon ino the video and where it came from, but this is clearly a violation of several articles of the UDHR".

Thank you. Now then, we have a bit more information from Prism on what's going on.
(A plasma screen hung in front of the dual podia now lights up. It shows a map of the Milky Way. UCE space, an ovoid centered roughly on the Orion Arm and missing its' upper right-hand quarter, is hazed over in dark blue and titled "Union Space". A red dot is highlighted on the opposite side of the Galactic Center and named "Versilia".)
AGRICOLA-NORDSTROM:
The planet where this took place is across the Center from us. We will be referring to it as Versilia for the time being, not to be confused with the Outer Colony of the same name. We pinpointed the location where the video was taken to an island on said planet, located in a mountain range. Prism was also helped immensely by news articles identifying the precise location as being called the Central Island, and the mountain range the Dolmati Alps, in the vicinity of a prison for foreign criminals. The articles went on to state that the prisoners were illegally removed by soldiers from the prison and taken to the vicinity of the Alps for their...murders.
REPORTER:
Any information on how far Prism managed to infiltrate into the vicinity of this planet called Versilia? Are agents at least in their system?
SECRETARY-GENERAL INKORATH PAINE:
We cannot reveal such information at this time, as it is classified.
REPORTER 2:
How long has Prism been monitoring Versilia? Is that classified?

It is not classified-

For about a week. Operations in the Center's shadow have only recently commenced with Prism agents. I can tell you that our activities on Versilia are just part of a laundry list of places that Prism needs to keep monitored.

If the murderers illegally removed the prisoners, does that mean there will be punishment? Has there been assurance given by the local government of this matter?
PAINE:
We have been given no such assurance by the government of Versilia as of late. Authorities of the prison in question stated there was no jurisdiction over the matter.

The victims were from a state or pirate band called Iron Skull apparently. The orchestrator of the murders called them "a bunch of animals". Prism believes that Versilia and Iron Skull may have hostile relations comparable to our own with the Vell and Gliusor. I think that clears it up.
(Reporters nod and express general assent with the sentiment.)

We have had no confirmation on the demographics of Versilia. As it has the name of a human colony, is it possible that the inhabitants are human?
PAINE:
The Versilians are, as far as we know, at least inclusive of human populations, within the constitutional definition.

PAINE:
Well, yes. Citizens lying beyond UCE effective jurisdiction at this time.
AGRICOLA-NORDSTROM:
Allow me to repeat that we only know of three humans from Versilia. The total number of humans in the system is unknown.

Well, okay, so they're the only citizens we know of...but it's not unreasonable to guess there may be more humans, am I correct?

PAINE:
Those sources are classified at this time.

Will UCE personnel be en route to Versilia to investigate?
AGRICOLA-NORDSTROM:
No. We have no idea of the capabilities of the government in control of Versilia. It may be part of a larger, interstellar state which would not take kindly to our intervention. While I would most certainly love to send investigators I'm afraid that due to the distances involved and our present engagements it would be impractical.

President Agricola-Nordstrom sent an address to Congress, reading it at the end of the press conference.

On behalf of the United Colonies of Earth and in unison with my colleague and our Secretary-General, Inkorath Paine, I express the utmost disgust at these murders by the personnel of the state which controls Versilia. The rights of individuals should never be suspended at the convenience of those who, for whatever reason, understandable or otherwise, have chosen to express their enmity. I, and the whole of the UCE, express hope that those of our fellow humans and citizens of the Union who reside on Versilia will work to end the injustices committed by the three who took part in this horrific, shameful crime along with the government or governments of their world. A review should be undertaken by the government of Versilia to ensure that further crimes are prevented and if they cannot be prevented, then punished.

Clone soldiers to undergo reeducation

TODAY at 16:01 Versilian Standard Time, the authorities at Marepoca Prison for Foreign Criminals have successfully detained all participants who extrajudicially executed three Iron Skull criminals earlier today. Their location as of this time is classified.

Also earlier today, Her Majesty Raguna Dispoina I, Praise Be Upon Her, had signed the death warrant of four of the nine clones who engaged in the murders. The others will be reeducated. Mr. Michael Hussel, who orchestrated the killings, will be discharged from military service and will spend two decades in prison.

The third inmate who was killed, now identified as Frederick Jas Musk, an Iron Skull slave-driver, has been found. His body was found in the den of a pack of stray dogs. The body of Mr. Musk was practically unrecognizable. It has been noted two of the clones who engaged in the killing intentionally lured the pack to a ledge, where the soldiers dumped the body down onto them.

Her Majesty and the Royal family has chosen not to make any comment.

Marepoca Prison for Foreign Criminals clone staffing to undergo reevaluation
Prison conditions to be raised to higher priority

TODAY at 19:55 Versilian Standard Time, the government of Her Majesty the Raguna has called for a complete reevaluation of the clones in the staff of Marepoca Prison for Foreign Criminals. The reason for this is due to the possibility the racist views on Iron Skull pirates and nationals being systematic among the clone guards and staff. The Prime Minister, Miss Vandebrial, has chosen to visit the prison to personally see the conditions endured by the inmates.

There are a number of pirates, illegal migrants, murderers and others being housed in the prison, and due to the systematic hatred of misogyny and other views held by some of the inmates, it is possible they are in danger of being given the same treatment as the incarcerated Iron Skull nationals who were murdered earlier today.

Also undergoing investigation will be the prison's dog and war-beast population, specifically the tuejkrls residing in the prison, acting as guards in the surrounding areas.

Her Majesty's government has stated it will dispose of any defective clones found in the prison, as international pressure on Versilia's homeworld, mainly from the Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, has forced it to recheck the cloning vats and facilities from which clones are spawned from.

Inoleraș - Today at 12:31 Versilian Standard Time, pollsters revealed the majority of Versilians view Kreucians, the people of The Iron Skull and the newly discovered nation of The Kreucian Empire as 'untermensch' and 'brainless brutes'. The results have come in saying how the recent acts of The Iron Skull and their allies, notably in the unlawful invasion of Arctica-Aluetia have sparked a racist and uncompassionate view on the peoples of these states, with many citizens calling them 'barbarians', 'beasts', 'animals' and Lebensunwertes Leben, the Nazi term meaning "life unworthy of life".

Also shockingly revealed was Her Majesty is among these people, with leaked audiotapes revealing her to have insulted the three murdered Iron Skull nationals who faced torture and unlawful execution at the hands of clone soldiers and their superior.

The recent events going on in the country of Versilia are very concerning to the NMK, in particular to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Firstly, brutal and barbaric guards abused their power and without the legal authority, took prisoners from their prisons and then mercilessly tortued, humiliated and brutalised the abducted inmates. The crimes inflicted on the poor, abused inmates included beatings, stabbings, stompings and even being burned alive. While at the time the prison's management did not condone the actions, it would appear that the persons responsible adhere to a highly dangerous and toxic idea of racial supremacy.

However, we are glad that the responsible people for this have been bought to justice by the government shortly after the event. We were hoping that this would be the start of the government make large efforts to prevent a re-occurence, but information from a poll has revealed that this is unlikely, as the majority of the country's citizenry appear to believe in the extremely dangerous idea that a particular race can be determined to be 'underpeople' and even using Nazi terminology in relation to them. To worsen the situation even more, leaked information suggests the country's head of state is no different.

At the present time, we strongly recommend the Versillian government take immediate strong action to prevent further incidents like this or even worse. If this does not occur, the NMK may impose sanctions or a trade embargo and encourage others to do so.

Inoleraș - Today at 0950 Versilian Standard Time, Her Majesty Raguna Dispoina I, Praise Be Upon Her, has issued an outright ban of travel to the nations of The Imperial Regions of Commerce, The Supreme Authority, Kyoki Chudoku, Soyouso, The Kreucian Empire and The Iron Skull. This royal decree states that no person of the Versilian state and Her territories may travel to or visit the mentioned nations for 'their personal safety'. There are no listed exceptions.

Among the government of Her Majesty and the Parliament of the nation, there are rumours that the ban is racially based and is to enforce a larger opposition towards these states, likely to be on the scale of the Red Scares in the United States of America and the First World during the Cold War.

Her Majesty has also become more vocal in her racism, as she has issued other decrees stating that slave-drivers from these states, along with native Versilians who cooperate with the authorities of these states, will be given the capital punishment or life in prison.

Following recent developments regarding the execution of unarmed nationals in the nation of Versilia, the Fascistisk Union is awash with debate and indecision. The People’s Assembly gathered to discuss the incident, bringing elected officials from all over the Fascistisk States. Although this addition to their meeting doesn’t exactly mean that the government is realistically considering some sort of military force in response to the action, it certainly does nothing to dissuade that theory.

To dispel any rumours of governmental direction, Fascistisk Chancellor Trygstad stood before the media just this morning, delivering a statement alongside the High Party regarding the Versilian developments.

Comrades of the Fascistisk Union,

I will not mince my words: the Fascistisk government is not happy with the incident, nor the response. We have never been allies with the Versilian people, and we have never truly been friendly towards their absolutist regime. They are monarchists - simply put, we do not tend to associate with their sort. I believe that it is the wish of most Scandinavians that things stay that way. However, this new information is simply too gruesome to ignore.

Versilian soldiers, cloned or not, murdered unarmed foreign nationals. We cannot abide this any more than we can abide stabbings in the street. The organizer of the crime, Platoon Leader Michael Hussel, 64, stated that they felt no remorse at all, as they argued 'why should I feel remorse for a bunch of animals? Hel, why is this even a crime? Inferior races don't deserve human rights, because they're not human.'

Rikskansler Ole Kvisling was watching the international news on TV-Norden, the Nordic state broadcaster. Suddenly a red screen flashed up, with a message in Neo-Scandinavian that warned viewers: What you are about to see next is unedited video containing scenes of blood or violence. The content may be offensive or shocking to some viewers. Kvisling ignored the message and kept his television on, since he was not particularly fazed by blood and he was curious to find out more.

After a 10-second countdown, the red warning screen cut to a full-colour video depicting 3 of what appeared to be Iron Skull nationals being roughly handled by men in uniform. "Nothing out of the ordinary," said Kvisling to himself. But he was not completely prepared for what he saw next: the uniformed men tormenting the inmates with hot iron and stabbing them in the arms and legs with knives, before trampling one of them to death in front of horrified fellow prisoners. "My Odin!" he gasped, jumping from his seat a little.

The view then changed to the studio of TV-Norden, where the presenter confirmed what Kvisling was thinking: these men tortured and killed were from The Iron Skull. In addition, they said the video was filmed in a nation called "Versilia". Kvisling had heard of Versilia a couple of times, but it was almost never on the Nordic news. After watching the news story, Ole Kvisling had mixed feelings about this incident. The Iron Skull was a nation that had made openly hostile and threatening remarks about him and his regime. On the other hand, despite being a national socialist who believed Scandinavians were the "purest" race, Kvisling was always against torture, and preferred to execute in the quickest way possible. At 17:30 Nordic time, Ole Kvisling went live on TV-Norden to release his official statement.

"Good evening, Scandinavia. It has come to my attention that 3 soldiers of The Iron Skull were extrajudicially executed after enduring verbal abuse, beatings and torture from Versilian soldiers. First of all, I would like to make it clear that I am not sympathising with The Iron Skull at all. Scandinavia's relations with that nation are hostile, and their leadership has openly threatened us several times. Now, I have no problem executing foreign soldiers and spies caught operating illegally, but it is disconcerting watching the guards inflict pain and suffering just for personal pleasure. While I disagree that this conduct equates murder, it demonstrates a lack of professionalism with a nation's armed forces."

Inoleraș - Today at 1410 Versilian Standard Time, Her Majesty has by royal decree banned the cultures of so called 'untermensch' states. These countries are The Imperial Regions of Commerce, The Supreme Authority, Kyoki Chudoku, Soyouso, The Kreucian Empire and The Iron Skull. Their languages, culture, cuisine and other beings relating to or originating from these countries are to be supposedly suppressed and removed from the Versilian nation, 'for the sake of the people', noted an Old Imperial Guardswoman.

Untermensch officials and citizens are to be detained anywhere they're found and promptly 'questioned'. The death sentence will be utilized should these officials and persons be acting out the will of their 'nation' of origin.

The location of the foreign prisoners that were relocated following the travel ban has yet to be revealed.

Let's catch up on some international politics from some random place. Like...the Islands of Versilia? Isn't that the place ruled by that wasteful vampire girl? I wonder if anything interesting happened there.

The very first result was a link to a video about "Iron Skulls Nationals Execution in Versilia Full Footage".

What's this about? Those Iron Skull people aren't so bad, I think.

Aozora watched the video, observing every gruesome detail. She witnessed the humiliation of the Iron Skull captives, the beatings committed in front of onlookers, and the knives plunged into eyes. It was more like torture than execution.

I thought they didn't like this sort of thing? Watching videos just isn't as satisfying as actually torturing people...

The Suprme Overlady of All Reality then looked up news from Versilia. She pressed the first reidlt, hoping it would be a release explaining why they had been so brutal and whether or not they were considering become psychotic tyrants. Instead, she got a report on aspects of her nation's culture being prohibited in the Islands of Versilia.

Their loss, I don't care if a few idiots in their nation get arrested for trying to make pufferfish or emulate tenshi or something.

A few more clicks, and she finally arrived at what she'd been looking for. Except, of course, it wasn't a worldshattering announcement of promoting tyranny she had been hoping for. Instead, it apologised for the brutal acts, and some comments from a racist military officer.

Iron Skull people aren't even that bad. I don't judge people based on race, everyone is equally able to be tortured here. No sense in limiting myself, is there?

Satisfied with her knowledge of the political situation, Aozora stood up from her computer chair and walked out of the door of the room she was in. Watching a video on brutal murder had reminded her what she had scheduled for that afternoon, and there was no harm in beginning a little early.

Inoleraș - Today at 1030 Versilian Standard Time, Her Majesty has relaxed the laws regarding the cultures of stigmatized coutries. These countries are The Imperial Regions of Commerce, The Supreme Authority, Kyoki Chudoku, Soyouso, The Kreucian Empire and The Iron Skull. Escapees from these countries may continue to express their culture provided they pose no threat to the Versilian state and its people.

Meanwhile, there have been talks of Versilia moving its attention to humanitarian efforts to help fix its image and gain more support. The country still condemns all nations listed, however. It is also willing to take in refugees who wish to leave their states of origin and renounce their allegiance to their home country. Any of those who harm Versilians or act against Versilia will still face the death penalty, and slavers will have no trial.

Her Majesty's govt., has also stated the prisoners formally at Marepoca have been moved to an undisclosed and safe location.
