Lt. Mo-In-Ket (Callsign: Dread), is the flight lead of the RPAF Transport Mobility Squadron 13, the Shredders. Their mission was to deliver the paratroopers that would be creating a pocket in western Belarus. "Gentlemen, the target is the town of Lida, our goal is to establish a front pocket in the western portion of the country to create a foothold in the region for the allies." Colonel Gi-Chai-Let said. "Our job will be to establish a defensive area in the western part, lest the country should fall." the Colonel added. The mission required the transports to fly into Belarus, drop the troops, and exit the area. "As well as the RPAF, the National Conservative American Air Force will be operating in the region, so we should use caution, avoid blue on blue" the colonel said.

Flight line...

"Shredder 1-1, cleared for takeoff" the Air Traffic Controller said. "Roger that Shredder 1-1, cleared for takeoff" Lt. Nu-Ji-Koi (Callsign: Strikeout) replied to the tower. As the C-17 thundered down the runway, the flight engineer (Callsign: Slicker) called out "80kts". "V1" Strikeout said. 'Rotate" Slicker said. And gracefully the C-17 soared into the sky. "We'd better do our low altitude checks now, seeing as we're so close to the border" Dread offered. "Yeah, uh, drop flaps, out. Power, set. Ramp, out" Slicker said. As the C-17's formed up, one of the loadmasters, Sgt. Ki-Jo-Chot (Callsign: Chops) came to the cockpit and asked "So what's the window looking like?". "Ah, we're looking at maybe 2 minutes in the limelight, dropping next to the runway" Slicker said. "And they'll have air cover?" Chops asked. "Yeah we should, we're holding for them." Dread replied

Fighter formation...

"Bulldog flight, roll right to establish air cover over the formation" Cpt. Vi-Ok-Loa (Callsign: Boa), flying an F/A-18F Super Hornet, callsign Bulldog 1-1. "Boss, the formation is wondering when we'll be on station?" Cpt. Ju-Ki-Lae (Callsign: Foghorn) asked. "Tell them we are, we're holding over the border" Boa replied. As the flight of fighters moved over the target, Foghorn said "Boss, Shredder 1-1 reports fighters on them". "Roger, I see them, tell them to dive for the deck. Three, four, go left, two stay with me" Boa ordered. The fighters moved to assault the fighters.

Shredder 1-1...

"Boss, I see the target, we need to drop the troops now!" Strikeout said. "Roger, tell Chops to start opening the doors" Dread said. As this happened, the fighters that were covering the transports got to them and started eliminating the enemy fighters.

In the cargo hold...

"READY UP!" the loadmasters shouted. 20 year old Cpl. Hu-Li-Wan stood up and readied for the jump. "CHUTES CHECKED!" all the men shouted. "You ready Li" Cpl. Lan-Xiu-Koj. "About as ready as I can be seeing as I'm about to jump into a war zone" Cpl. Ki-Wan said in response. "3, 2, 1. JUMP GO, GO, GO!" the loadmaster shouted. One by one the men jumped out and began the long fall. This was when they were most exposed, dangling in the sky. As the ground got closer, Cpl. Ki-Wan checked his gear one last time. As he landed, he followed procedure and found his buddy. "Ki, over here" Xiu-Koj said. As the two men found each other. "Dragnet 1-2 is in the AO, we have a pillbox that has us pinned down, we need support" Cpl. Ki-Wan said. "Roger Bulldog flight is rolling in, start tagging the target." the pilot said. "Roger" Cpl. Ki-Wan said. The soldiers moved on the airbase, there were explosions everywhere as the planes tried to eliminate the SAM batteries that could threaten other transports. "Cmdr. Chu-Kin, over here" Cpl. Xui-Koj shouted to their commander. "Boys we need to take that hangar" the Cmdr. Chu-Kin said. "Take the south entrance, Lt. Jok-Pi and I will go north, then we move to the tower" the Commander said. "Yes sir." Cpl. Ki-Wan said. As the men stacked up at the door. "Breach in 3,2,1" the Cmdr said. The men stormed in and moved to clear the hangar. "Dragnet 1-2, and 1-3 are in the building, moving to the door" Cpl. Li-Wan said. After the men cleared the building they moved to the control tower, and cleared it. Shortly after, a C-130-30J Hercules landed on the base and delivered provisions to the exhausted men

The assault on the abandoned airbase at Lida had been a success, the men that had secured the base took the time to prepare defenses and dig in. The base was a wreck, no fighters could land there until the runway had been checked for potential mines that could have been missed. Cpl. Ju-Yu-Wong, a truck driver who was assigned to move a group of soldiers to the front in an attempt to takeover the town of Lida. "Where we going?" Yu-Wong asked his friend, Sgt. Mi-Jon-Lao . 'Drive to the soccer stadium on the outskirts of the city, rally with the tanks, and take us to the town hall, let us off two blocks away." Sgt. Jon-Lao replied. "Okay, lets go" Cpl. Yu-Wong said as he fired up the engine.

In the town...

The convoy was rolling through the town, and people were watching as the trucks and tanks rolled through the city. Suddenly, there was a massive explosion in an intersection and the first tank took the brunt of the explosion. Needless to say, Cpl. Yu-Wong shouted to the soldiers to get out of the truck. "We got enemies in the shops, get the civilians out of here!" Sgt. Jon-Lao shouted. As Yu-Wong moved to join up with the rest of the soldiers, he radioed for help "This is Buffalo 1-1, we're under fire two miles from the hall, need support!". "Roger, routing Buffalo 1-2 to your location, describe attackers?" the AWACS said. "Mostly guerillas in civil clothes, not very experienced, request a high speed pass" Yu-Wong shouted into the radio. "Roger will send who I can" the AWACS said. As the firefight dragged on, Buffalo 1-2 arrived, and was surrounded by fighters. "Where is that air support, we're pinned down!" Sgt. Jon-Lao asked. "Magic Buffalo 1-1, and 1-2 are pinned down, I need air support, danger close!" Yu-Wong asked frantically. "All units are occupied, the most I can do is send a group of Apache's from Lida, should take twenty minutes." the AWACS said. "Okay, I'll need to ask my commander, hold on?", "Boss, only four Apache's are available now, do I call them?" Yu-Wong asked. "Yes, and ask them if they can call anything from National Conservative America, NOW!" Sgt. Jon-Lao said. 'Yes I'll take them, and see about something from the National Conservative Americans if our jets can't get here, quick, we also need supplies send in any available aircraft with supplies and medevac." Yu-Wong shouted into the radio. Cpl. Yu-Wong and Sgt. Jon Lao ducked into a café and Sgt. Jon Lao said "So what are we getting?". "National Conservative America hopefully, medevac is twenty minutes out" Cpl. Yu Wong said. "Why?" he added. Without saying a word, Sgt. Jon-Lao showed him a bullet hole in his arm. "Damn, we need to hope that medical gets here now"
