Cooperative Union Leader's Summit (IC | TWI ONLY | CLOSED)

[West Suomi]

"To the CU!" Jeyzor said with enthusiasm. He was glad that his nation is now a CU member.

The discussion was about to begin. Jeyzor felt anxious, but excited as well, because he looked forward to working together with the other countries in the Cooperative Union.

[Dragao do Mar]

For some motive, Leonardo was internally laughing. "To the CU"

[Keomora]

"To the CU" called out Falkwyn, revealing himself much to the surprise of the others who barely noticed him from his seat.

[San Jimenez]

The plane landed in Noronica after a short trip from San Jimenez. As the plane came to a stop, President Canone, nearly sprinting, got off the plane and quickly got into the car. He urged the driver to hurry and take him to the Royal Port Sinare Exhibition Centre for the summit meeting. In the car, Canone organized his papers and luggage. The car came to a screeching halt. Canone quickly got out of the car. "Thank you!" Canone yelled at the driver as he entered the building. He quickly made his way to the summit meeting mumbling in a sarcastic tone "Right on time..."
He entered the room.
"So sorry I'm late!" Canone said. As he looked around, everyone was holding their drink in the air. A man came up to him and said "Care for a drink?" "No thanks, I don't drink." Canone said. Everyone continued staring at him. "Yes, I'll have a drink." Canone said. He was handed a drink and then quickly took a seat.

[Travencia]

"say Falkwyn, have any recommendations for coastal cities and sites to send boat loads of tourists to? My friend here has made a bet that your nation and Leonardo's would be a popular destination for those of us from points south..."

[Ipland]

"To the CU!" said the PM.

[Keomora]

"say Falkwyn, have any recommendations for coastal cities and sites to send boat loads of tourists to? My friend here has made a bet that your nation and Leonardo's would be a popular destination for those of us from points south..."

"A lot of Keomoran cities will be pleasant to the eyes of any tourist, but I recommend that you do not choose Hayara, or any city north of it."

[Travencia]

"So not Hayara? I'm afraid I need to alter my plans I suppose. Where would you think would be a good destination for a cruise ship of tourists seeking some of your nations culture and adventures. We would very likely invest if need be to help make something happen. Kevora would be a better city you say?"

[Noronica]

Joshua raised his glass with the other leaders, "To the CU. May we continue forth together."

He noticed that the Travencian Vice-President and the Keomoran Secretary of State were in discussion, so he decided to make his way towards Rachel, the Noronnican Foreign Secretary.

"Prime Minister, we are ready for the summit. Would you like me to announce it?" Joshua could tell that Rachel was eager to begin negotiations, yet he also knew that the leaders were still mingling, and he had no wish in disrupting them like that. He tapped on his glass again to gain everyone's attention.

"I am sorry to interrupt again, but I would like to inform you that the doors to the summit will now open. If you would like to follow me inside whenever you are ready, then we may begin. This is just my first reminder, you can stay outside for a few minutes, but I would like this to start soon. Thank-you all." Joshua was eager to begin negotiations, but he also wanted to ensure that he still appeared friendly. Annoyed delegates were worse than a house fire, especially during diplomacy.

[Travencia]

"Thank you prime minister, here take a few of these" Mr. Mausik grabbed some tickets from his jacket pocket. They were free passes for a ride on any cruise ship line that his company operates, he'd planned to give plenty of them away to the delegations present. He walked into the summit hall....


Albano strayed behind a little bit, wanting to not be rude by quickly wrapping up his conversation. He was embarrassed about his old friend schmoozing like he does, but he's been a life long believer in some of his ambitions. If it weren't for the push Ron gave him, he might of never gotten into politics to begin with. He went to shake the hand of Joshua, the prime minister...

"Thank You sir, for hosting this fine event"

[West Suomi]

Jeyzor heard what Mr. McIntosh said. As he wasn't chatting to anyone in particular, he replied,

"Very well Prime Minister McIntosh. I will head over there soon, and wait for the others. Maybe we can start negotiating there while we wait for the other delegates to arrive? That would be interesting."

[Ainslie]

Kenzai looked over, and saw what he knew was President Canone, the leader of San Jimenez.

'Sturi Idire' he muttered to himself as he walked into the chamber. 'What on earth is Hughes doing?'

He then walked in and sat near the delegation from West Suomi

'Gday all, did I just see the president of San Jimenez, didn't know they joined the union...'

He did not receive any call from the government regarding to this, so he decided to act civil and go with the flow on this matter. Kenzai knew there were more important things to be done.

[San Jimenez]

Canone had just got off the phone with the Vice-President regarding issues at home. He decided to go ahead and head to the summit. While walking towards the summit, Canone held out his hand, smiled and nodded at Kenzai, the PM of Ainslie. He did not want to escalate tensions any further. As he walked into the summit he shook the hand of Joshua, the PM. "It's a pleasure to be here. Noronica is a splendid nation." Canone said.

[Travencia]

Two section 32 agents swiftly entered and boldly approached the sitting James Albano. They tapped his shoulder and whispered in his ear. It was an emergency, he was being recalled immidately. He went to alert his friend Ron, but the agents denied him the ability. The three of them quickly walked out, in a rush to return to Travencia with great urgency....

[West Suomi]

Jeyzor walked into the meeting room, and sat down. He then saw PM Andrew Kenzai of Ainslie walk in, and sit down near him.

Jeyzor had heard Mr. Kenzai mutter to himself, 'Sturi Idire, what is Hughes doing?' after he walked in. As Jeyzor had a basic understanding of Ahnslen, he knew that Kenzai was referring to someone as a 'stupid idiot'. Jeyzor found this quite rude, as he didn't know who exactly Kenzai was referring to. He thought Kenzai was referring to Olivia Hughes, but Jeyzor hadn't a clue what Olivia Hughes of Ainslie had done.

Jeyzor sat normally, waiting for the summit to start, when suddenly two agents rush over to VP Albano of Travencia, tap his shoulder, whisper something in his ear, and then leave the summit with him. He found this quite peculiar, as it happened so suddenly. Jeyzor decided that there was probably an emergency involving Travencia, so he let the issue slide.

Now Jeyzor sat anxiously waiting for the summit to start.

[Covonant]

Prime Minister Marl while having a drink of the champagne and admiring the growth of the CU was told by his Aide that a call from the Cooperative Zone produced information that the CU may see major changes in the coming days. The Prime Minister having faith in the Commission and the Covonantian representative to represent Covonant well in the bloc, nodded to his Aide and walked into the room where the discussions are to be held.

He say by the placard that had his name and the country he represents. His Aide and technical team sat beside him. He placed the earpiece that was used for translation into his ears as he waited for the meeting to commence.

[Travencia]

a helicopter lands where previously cars had unloaded their leaders just hours before. out walks Fredo McMurray and a detail of Section 32 and the Travencian Security Agency, who are not used to working together in such close confines. McMurrary carries two brief cases with him, one locked and one not locked, and quickly walks his way in. He appears much fuller, no looking like the skin and bones he was just weeks prior. He makes his way into the hall as stealthily as he could, to not draw too much attention to himself. Regardless attendees notice...

"Sorry I'm late friends, mind if I take a seat and participate?"

[Somstratzka]

He sighed. "The meeting with the constructors for the new F1 circuit will have to wait" he said with a dismissal wave as the screen cut to the desktop page. He had a large amount of things to balance and on top of that he was late for the Cooperative Union's leader's summit. As the plane descended in Nornonican airspace, Dominick could not think about how far he would be behind on all the other delegates and how rude he and the nation of Somstratzka would seem. The plane screeched on the tarmac minutes later before the plane taxied to the designated area. As the stairs unfolded, Dominick put on his best smile and walked slowly down to be greeted by a small convoy of cars that would immediately whisk him off the convention center. After all, the Somstratzkan Prime Minister was already late. The car ride gave him a good view at architecture of Noronica. He gazed at the various buildings as the convoy slipped in and out of the traffic. "Seconds, minutes, hours, meh. Time is based on perspective I guess" he said to himself as the car ride seemed to drag on and on. Eventually the convoy pulled up outside the Royal Port Sinare Exhibition Centre in Port Sinare. He put on another smile yet again. Yet again simply for the media. He pushed through the doors leading to the hall where all the other leaders were already sitting. "Selamat...

[Keomora]

"So not Hayara? I'm afraid I need to alter my plans I suppose. Where would you think would be a good destination for a cruise ship of tourists seeking some of your nations culture and adventures. We would very likely invest if need be to help make something happen. Kevora would be a better city you say?"

"If you don't mind how busy it is then yes."

[Travencia]

Mr. Mausik moved over to sit by the Keomoran delegation, now that he was here without his good friend the vice president...

"Yes, the hustle and bustle will be great for business. I wouldn't want to swarm the place with thousands of visitors if it couldn't take it."

[San Jimenez]

Two government officials walked into the summit looking for the president. One of them walked up an whispered something to President Canone. Canone looked joyful and quickly left the room. Outside was a televised broadcast of the Reformation Bill signing. He then made a statement to the people of San Jimenez and sent the papers back to country. He walked back inside.
"I believe today is a great day for San Jimenez and every nation of the Cooperative Union. Let us move forward as free nations and serve the people of the CU with the great determination. Thank you."
He then sat down and waited for the meeting to commence.

[Dragao do Mar]

Then Leonardo said:

"I would like to gratify you, Canone, you bravely opened another chapter in the history of San Jimenez. Abandoning old, antiquated traditions, this shows the legitimate commitment of the Jimenean government with the values of peace, democracy and freedom, which, in the lowest sign of injustice agreed to act cooperatively, listening the voice of the international community. Our country, that recently decided to approximate relations with San Jimenez, now is decided to give any support to its reform procedure that will only bring mutual progress and develop an everlasting bond between our nations"

He deeply breathed, accommodating in his chair and looking to other heads of government.

[San Jimenez]

"I trust that it was a great step for San Jimenez. I as well hope that relations between San Jimenez and Dragao do Mar, along with the other nations of the CU, will continue to prosper. With the help of the CU, San Jimenez will be able to emerge as a strong democratic republic in the Western Isles." He smiled and nodded at Leonardo.

He then sat down and was anxious to return home to the island and see the new government in action.

[Travencia]

Fredo McMurray made his way over to the San Jimenez delegation, he had yet to meet them. He went over to introduce himself, and exchange pleasantries.

[Somstratzka]

Dominick sat in the area designated for the Somstratzkan delegation on a decently sized chair, most likely made out of old maple and had ornate designs carved onto the chair itself. He gazed upon the other delegations, all still deep in heated conversation almost not realizing that a delegation had arrived late. He almost chuckled. "Selamat!" he said greeting the fellow delegations.
