An Earth shattering explosions rocks CoalMiner, sending debris and rock in all directions. A firefight breaks out, but is is soon silent. Following the attack in CoalMiner, Grand General Briggs is being evacuated from the nation. A Steregushchiy Corvette has picked him up from the shores of CoalMiner, and is headed back to the Zironian mainland.

4:32am, Ziron Empire
The military has mobilized throughout the nation due to the attack in CoalMiner. Armed forces are on high alert, and patrol the nation with a vengeance. Media outlets report the attack was carried out by Lachston Terrorists and Empire of the Wind Insurgents. The senate has proposed placing sanctions on the nations, but a decision is War from made. The Ziron Empire has also ordered the construction of several CoalMiner bunker systems to be installed in the Empire.

7:12am, South Pacific Ocean
Back in the Pacific, the Zironian Fleets have rendezvoused with the Mellonesian Fleets. Fleet Admiral Hannibal has met with Fleet Admiral Aliyah Tunt. They have ordered the combined fleet to move southward into open waters near the Antarctic. The Fleets will be conducting live fire exercises while en route.

New Lucitania is proud to announce the creation of their second Aircraft Carrier! It is the second of a pair of Modified Kuznetsov Class Carriers. The "Führers Boot" and "Führers Hand" are identical Aircraft carriers. It will been fully stocked, and is expected to be combat ready in the upcoming weeks. They will train alongside Lucitanian Destroyers and Cruisers in the Arctic Ocean in roughly 2 months time. They will be fitted with German Fighter Jets and Helicopters.

New Missile Silos have also been created on the Lucitanian borders following the Lachston terrorist attacks. Soldiers are on 24/7 military patrol throughout the nation.

TNL has also stepped up security in light of the Lachstonian attacks on the CoalMinerian and Zironian leaders. Radar systems have been deployed in Norwegian Landish waters to detect Lachstonian craft. At his daily press briefing, Pres. Ulsrud, who does not have a press secretary, preferring to face the media himself, has condemned the attack. All major news programs in all languages have actually prioritized coverage of the attack over coverage of the opening of the SARC center. Military equipment has also been deployed to the SARC center to protect it from foreign aggression in response to the Lucitanian announcement.

After surviving an attack him self Winston extends the nations hand of grief towards the Ziron nation and will send out it's navy which is entirely composed of subs with the mission to seek and destroy the vessel responsible for the attack

Emperor Hannibal stared out the bridge onboard the IZS Wallace. It had been a rough few days. The stress of the Mellonesian military exercises added with the death of Trench Briggs was hard enough to bear, but being appointed as the new Emperor was a burden unlike any other. Zironians feared power. It had alway corrupted even the most noble men. He was scared. His shaking hand reached into his jacket pocket, only to reveal a flask.

Hannibal whispered to himself in a strained voice.
"Scientia potentia."
"Knowledge is power."

He raised his hand and tilted his head, finishing off the last of the golden liquid inside. It burned as is slithered down his gullet. It helped to soothe his nerves and calm his mind. It was a way of relief. He took in a deep breath.
"Et imperium, pereunt."
"And power corrupts."

He hated that phrase. They all did. Every day for as long as he could remember they were forced to recite it. No one had a choice. It was law. Law of the government. He thought to himself. The government. That's all there was.

He scratched at the barcode on his wrist, thinking about the morality of it all. He quickly faced one of his Officers.
"Resume course. We stick with the plan."

He smiled, chuckling to himself. He may have hated the government..

Several B-2 Spirit Stealth Bombers take off from an airbase in Cobraztan under the cover of night. Mellonesian Refuelling craft will meet them on their journey to supply the bombers. Their payload is heavy, and intentions are hostile.

The Ziron Empire has sent a team of 12 Scientists to TNL. It was a healthy team of Biologists, Chemists, Meteorologists, and Climate Scientists. They are lead by an Astrophysicist by the name of Dr. Liam Surtopper. Once in TNL, they will be placed under the command of the Norwegian Government.

The Zironians arrive in Port Oslo, only to be immediately sent to the North Pole. The mode of transportation is a CF-18, which will remain at the North Pole, "official" reason being that in the event of a medical emergency, a quick mode of transportation would be needed to transport them to the nearest hospital, located in Longyearbyen, Svalbard - an archipelago halfway between the North Pole and continental Norway and controlled by TNL. The unofficial is as defense of the SARC in the event of a Lucitanian attack. Education and Science Minister Michelle Larsen, whose department oversees the SARC's operations, thanks the other countries for contributing to the research efforts. In a nice change of pace, the Ziron Empire has sold 3 Yasen Class Submarines to the USSR. The total price comes to 7.4 Billion Credits. The trade came about as a deal with the Zironian Government and Soviet Military. The 3 Submarines are fully fuelled and contain half of the full load of weaponry. They are being moved via land transport vehicles. Armed Soldiers defend the Submarines as they make their way across the border.

In response to the world asking for a reduction in CO2 emissions across the globe CoalMiner is proud to announce the construction of new surface Hydro-carbon plants. CoalMiner its self will continue to use Coal as it's go to fuel, but after looking at the current fuel needs hydro-carbons are used more by the surface nations. Also realizing that many Surface nations are worried that burning coal will render the planet unlivable these new production facilities will take both carbon and hydrogen to create gasoline. While still waiting approval the plan is to run a pipeline under the Empire of the wind to Nerf Mellons where it can be shipped out across the ocean.

TNL accepts Brysterion's offer for help at the SARC. It also agrees to hold a climate-change summit in Estonia, but wants to co-organize it with the Brysterionians, as TNL is leading the SARC mission.

High above the city of Auckland, the bomb bays of the B-2s open to expose their deadly cargo to the world. With a solemn composure, the bombardiers call bombs away as guided munitions fall out of their racks towards targets below.

Hannibal put the red phone back on his desk. He beamed. A mix of excitement and anxiety. I was a rush. It'd been so long since his last battle. Perhaps this was his chance to prove himself. A chance at rebirth.

He smiled and laughed.
"Looks like we're starting early boys! Let's soften them up for our boys in blue. I want those Aircraft in the air ASAP!"

The officers on the bridge shouted in unity.

SU-33s and MiG-29Ks have been launched from several carriers near New Zealand. They begin to pelt the east coast and Auckland. Destroyers launch several cruise missiles, which rocket toward the city. They target industry and military targets in hopes or rendering the city unfit for fighting. The remainder of the fleet sits in defensive mode. Submarines and Cruisers are ready to sink enemy aircraft, ships, and subs. The attack was on, and the strongest would survive.

The Ziron Empire has declared war on the nation of Lochston.

Under Section IV of the Grand Treaty of the Western Security Council, the Zironian declaration of war on Lochston means that automatically, all other WSC nations - TNL included - are automatically at war with Lochston. TNL's CF-18s are making their way to New Zealand right now to commence bombing runs on Lochstonian targets.
