The HMS Aedatt was involved with a brief fight with a Slave-runner vessel with some loss of life at 9;59.
The Aedatt was returning from Military operations when it spotted the vessel entering UK-FK waters without contacting port authorities and challenged the vessel, when she approached the vessel the Slaver opened fire the Aedatt's crew returned fire using standard machine guns as to limit any damage.
When crew members of the warship boarded the vessel they discovered 100 slaves in the hold being transported to an unknown nation, the crew of the boat were arrested and are currently awaiting trial. The Slaves are to be returned to their homelands by Cruise ship that will be passing that way, those that do not want to go home will be given amnesty.
The government is worried about the raising levels of slave being smuggled into the country and is conducting investigations

3-4% = decent militia, some combat vehicular capability

2-1% = organized, modern military, some mobility

0.5% or less = the best military, most resources allocated to weapons and technological superiority

Again you play with the ridiculous notion of government funding. Any organization flourishes under private ownership. Self sufficient militias act as PMC's and through competition keep their preformances quality. Why instead of sending a group of men outfitted with government issue equipment contact a private militia that is the embodiement of military strategy and the Free Market.The role of a government run millitary or government run anything for that matter should always be minimal.
