No offense, but that idea just seems terrible. In most countries with slavery you will be unable to reach the slaves (in my case because they are in compounds, or living with the wealthy like harem slaves), the slaves will not rise up (they are neutral or like their situation, there is no way to communicate, their will has been broken), or they cannot hope to defeat their government (in most countries with slavery less than half their population is made up of slaves, so they will always be outnumbered if they rise up). Even if you do start a war, I doubt the losses will be worth it. Is it worth killing 800,000 slaves, 500,000 free men (some or most of whom might be against or neutral towards slavery), and destroying $500,000,000 in property just to free 8 million slaves?

Our rich nobles thought their serfs wills were broken as well. And when the revolution came and they discovered that the will cannot be destroyed, they learned a lesson that they did not live long enough to profit from.
