Jeongui Royal Visit (Sunalaya Only)

Postby The Seven United » Sat Apr 15, 2017 11:25 am

Aygon International Airport First Class Lounge
Aygon City, Capital of The Seven United
11:00am, 19C, Raining

"It's raining, raining, and raining. Will the weather ever change here?" Michelle drinks her water, and puts it down on the coffee table she is sitting infront of, while staring out the window. You could barely see the runway and the other airlines landing and taking off, constantly at a fast rate. James Kavanagh, the Deputy Commissioner comes over and sits infront of Michelle, he looks melancholy. "What on earth is wrong with you?" Michelle confronts James almost as soon as he sits down, quickly sounding her displeasure of him not smiling. "There is nothing wrong with me, you know if you want, to work with me, you got to *sips water* deal with how I am. Alright?" James halts on eye contact, while Michelle studies his face carefully. "You better smile when the royals arrive, we have to put up a high standard.. That is if they ever arrive."

The orchestrator of the decorations and arrival ceremony is seen being patted down at the entrance to the First Class lounge. Michelle stands up, and comes over to him. "Hey, David, isn't it? How are the decorations, they holding up in the rain?" David looks through his sheets and blurts out "Yes, the royals should go through Main Street via the M1 into the City Centre, then from the Main Street to the Unitary Parliament. By then it should be two o'clock, the ambassadors from the other nations will arrive and go straight to the Unitary Parliament, hopefully before the Jeongui Royals Arrive, and when they do arrive they will go through the airport and then out, to their escort." Michelle looks confuzzled at his long response to such a simple question. "Yeah, thanks. It'll be great right?" Michelle places his
hand on David shoulder, David immediately cringes. "Yeah, just came to check up. Bye"

The stage is ready, for the biggest visit since 2010. The arrival will be broadcasted live, from all around Corentia.

Charles walked off the DC9 airliner that was Royal Air One, he looked around at the busy airport and said "well good thing we got here when we did" He was in a well fitted black suit and tie, he refused to wear a uniform, as he thought it was stolen valor to wear something he hadn't earned. General Karl Voningham then said "Remember your majesty we must make a good impression, we should try to keep good relations as much as possible, we don't know this nations capabilities" Charles nodded and said "I'll try, I can only promise so much"

As the two walked into the lounge Charles took in the sight of the room, carefully making note of every detail as best as he could.

"The design really jumped out to you didn't it?" Michelle comes out of the dark lit area of the room, walking past the bar tapping Kavanaghs shoulder, Kavanagh, ofcourse is oblivious to Charles and Voningham in the lounge. He puts down his newspaper, and stands up putting on a smile coming over slowly, he is dressed in a suit with a bright green tie representing his political party. Michelle comes over to Charles who just entered through the automatic doors of the lounge. She smiles royally to the two "Welcome, You are from Grand Viscovia, I can't tell you how happy we are to host your nation tonight. As you can see, the lounge is nicely decorated for ambassadors to come and rest here after the long flight. Your escort is awaiting you outside, there is duty free shops on your way, but when we say duty free we just got rid of the duty for you. While you wait here, I may as well tell you where everything is in the lounge. On your very left there is the cigar lounge and the toilets, on the right of that there is the bar. You can order food if you want but I would save my hunger up for the royal banquet which is being prepared at Unitary Parliament, do you have any questions?" Michelle glances to her left, awaiting Kavanagh to speak. "Yeah, everything she said. I am the Deputy Commissioner and welcome! We have everything arranged for you here, so sit back and relax." Michelle was well-rehearsed in all the questions the ambassadors could ask.

Charles said "Thank you commissioner, me and the General look forward to our time here, I am certain we will have a splendid time" The king had with him a sword hand made by the Royal blacksmith, what made it special was it was forged from titanium, and was kept in a ivory sheath. Charles said "I hope you don't mind, it is a gif for your Royal family, it is a tradition for my family to present to the royal family of a nation with a sword made by the Royal Blacksmith"

Aygon International Airport

A hulking aircraft appeared out of weather, and began its approach on the Runway designated for it. The Turboprop aircraft's propellers and wings leaving behind traces of water through the rain. The Aircraft made its landing, standing tall with its lanky landing gear, and taxied to a special section of the airport. This specially modified Vi-48 was the Transportation for Librira's Premier, its normally white paint dampened by the rain. A door near the front of the aircraft opened and Ivan Gurov along with a guard exited the Aircraft and made their way down the long set of stairs to the ground. Umbrella in hand the guard escorted the premier to the airport.

Once inside Ivan took off his coat, and handed it to his guard, and made sure his suit was straightened out. It was his typical fare, Black pants, white shirt, black jacket, however what differed this time, was his tie. For some unthinkable reason his assistant insisted he wear a tie that had a pattern of the Libriran flag on it. Ivan had cringed heavily at just the sight of it, and even though it was hardly cold outside, he button up his suit jacket to hide as much of the tie as possible. His last step was to ensure the straightness of the Libriran flag pin that he wore at nearly all times. he then motioned to his guard and they made their way to the first class lounge. Next to his Guard Ivan was shorter, and older, Ivan was 54 years old 1.78 meters whereas the guard was only 29 and stood at around 2 meters, Ivan had wide shoulders, and rough hands, with heavily calloused hands, some thought this was due to the work he did in his youth, in truth it was because the premier's hobby in his free time was Carpentry.

The pair arrived at the First Class lounge, Ivan paused for a moment at the entrance surveying the area, and spotted the Commissioner of the Seven United, talking to a few other peop,e he did not recognize and made his way over to her to Introduce himself..

Michelle smiled profoundly. "Thank you a lot, your majesty. This is an incredible gift." She begins reaching her hands out to place the sword on her two hands horizontally. "This sword is amazingly beautiful, and such a kind thing to give to us. I don't know how to thank you!" The reflection from the Titanium sword shines in Kavanagh's face, who looks away. Upon looking away to avoid the reflection, Kavanagh spots someone. His eyes take a time to focus, and he sees Ivan Gurov. He drops his attention and heads straight over "Welcome to the first class lounge Premier! How are you? I am the Deputy Commissioner of The Seven United and would like to formally welcome you here. I see a bit of your tie. So, how was your flight? The weather is horrible, isn't it?" Kavanagh realises how he rambled on a bit, and straightens himself up quickly infront of the Premier, then behind him to make sure that Michelle doesn't come over and ruin his moment of fame.

Charles smiled and said "I do not require anything in return, it is a gift of grace, that blade is made of aircraft grade titanium, and its design comes from the same weapons used by the Deaths Head Dragoons during the Napoleonic Wars, the weapon had a reputation of being so sharp it could cut through a musket and still injure the soldier behind it" he then notice the premier and said "hello, I'm afraid we have not met yet, I am King Charles the second of Viscovia"

A man introducing himself as the Vice Commisioner approached the Premier, asking Ivan a few questions about his trip, in addition to welcomeing him. However, as soon as he mentioned Ivan's tie he looked down to ensure that it was concealed as much it could be. He looked back up realizing the man had stopped talking and was standing as if waiting for answer to his flurry of questions, choosing to specifically avoid the tie, since he feared it would draw too much attention to it. "Comrade, Deputy Commissioner, its good to meet you" Ivan started, clasping the mans hand in a handshake; "I appreciate your countries hosting this meeting, It is an honor to be invited" He continued bowing his head slightly at the last phrase, he straightened up and continued; "And my flight was good thank you for asking, when we left it was Raining in Libra as well, so I see you suffer from it as much as we do" he finished smiling

Imperial Premier Benjamin Butang sat comfortably in his plane, the Eagle 3. It was a fairly small, yet efficiently fast jet suitable to the needs of a world leader. Although, he definitely was not one. He was technically 3rd in command of Rhodevus, but in all honesty, he was only just a simple premier, leading the province of the Imperial City of Rhode; often shortened down to the ICR. With Queen Diana on maternity leave, caring for her newborn son Belami, and Princess Heir Sierra away in Rezua, leading the war effort in the POD Civil War, as well as looking out for her own wife and baby daughter Aria, this left Butang to handle many of the affairs of diplomacy, including this. He was however happy to be alongside someone who specialized in this sort of thing.

Sitting in the seat opposite him was Head Ambassador Victoire Song. Not to be confused with the Minister of International Relations, the Head Ambassador was the person in charge of running the ambassadorial program in Rhodevus and abroad, making sure that the embassies and consulates were acting appropriately as well as helping with any major issues between embassy and country of location.

The plane descended through the grey clouds as rain started battering the hull, causing a small amount of turbulence before the jet finally bounced onto the runway. The two, along with their one soldier guard were taxied towards the main hangar and out into the airport of Seven United.

Victoire and Benjamin walked together until reaching an intersection area, one way leading to the Lounge One, and the other towards the exit and an awaiting Embassy Vehicle. "Okay Mr. Butang, I will meet you in our final destination. I am just going to check on some business in the Rhodeve Embassy before I meet you there. Do you think you can handle this meeting alone?"

"Don't worry Victoire. I've handled much worse and much harder things in my day. This is just like meeting old friends. Well, actually, the last time I was here was-"

"Please save me the speech Benjamin. And I do hope you save it from the other distinguished guests. No need to broadcast your age."

Benjamin laughed at the banter shared between the two of them. "Alright. Enjoy your meeting at the Embassy, I guess it is time for me to meet our allies in Seven United and those else who have managed to arrive before us."

With that, he walked into the First Class Lounge.

The flight was quickly approaching it's final destination, Aygon International Airport in the Seven United. The King was surrounded by ministers, offering last minute counseling and advice for once the flight did land. His Majesty had been worried the entire flight. He had never been on an aeroplane before in his life, and despite the reassurances of it's safety, he remained anxious. He was eager to be on the ground again. "If the gods had wanted us to fly, we would have wings" he kept mumbling to himself. The Aeroplane was custom built for the King to travel in, with a large cargo hold. Tradition dictates that the King, no matter where he goes, is followed by several servants - carrying bannerets, silk umbrellas, and of course the gama - a large wooden chair carried by men, instead of a car. However, due to time constraints, and fears of stopping traffic, the Royal Family had opted to take a car once they arrived in the Seven United - another break in tradition.

Once the flight landed several deputy ministers jumped into action. The Royal Family's arrival in The Seven United had been well rehearsed prior to take off from Hanseong International Airport in Jeongui. Outside of the plane dozens of men began to unload the bannerets and silk umbrellas - a large red one for the King and Queen of Jeongui, and a Large Purple one for the Crown Prince and Princess. Crown Prince Beonyeong remarked to himself, "I wonder what they will make of all these traditions. In Jeongui, people see it as a regular part of life. Part of our long history still alive and well. But we are so far from Jeongui now. Will they mock our customs? Will they understand why everything is so ceremonial for us and our people? Will they..." but he was interrupted. "Do not worry, son. We are here to represent Jeongui - and part of our nation, our identity, are these ceremonies." The Queen gave her son a smile. She was nearly done having her hair finished - a process that takes three hours to do.

Once everything was ready outside of the plane, the Royal family embarked. First the ministers who had accompanied the King to advise him, followed by the Crown Princess, then the Crown Prince. Moments later, King Geonheung and Queen Jeonghwa departed the plane. After the customary bows, the procession began to walk forward. Although this type of procession was a daily occurrence in Jeongui, it felt strange to the whole Royal Family to be doing it so far away from the Palaces of Hanseong in Jeongui. They were led through Aygon International Airport, with many onlookers watching. Queen Jeonghwa thought back to what her son had said on the plane, and thought to herself, "all this media... All of these foreigners. I really do wonder what they make of it all." They continued on their way to meet.

OOC: Let's say that the delegates of Belantica arrived before the royals of Jeongui. The delegates consists of Queen Karen Pearson, Pricess-Consort Viktoria Kellner, Princess Cindy Pearson, State Minister Bricklynn, the governor of Watkins, and the mayor of Nuranto. :)

A few of the security officers came over to handle the heavy, sharp sword made out of Titanium. The were all wearing white gloves, so not to damage or put their fingerprints on the sword. Michelle says "Well, I hope you have a nice time here. Welcome to The Seven United!" Heading over to James Kavanagh and Ivan Gurov, Kavanagh says "Well, there are more people to come and uh, Michelle is over there. If I was you, I wouldn't bother haha, The cigar lounge is just on your left, and the toilets next to it. You can order food." A security officer comes over and whispers in Kavanagh's ear "The Rhodeves are here, as well as the Jeongui Royal Family." Kavanagh nearly jumps, and walks over to Michelle. His walk is odd, and funny, much akin to Jack Sparrow. "The Jeongui Royals are here, so too the Rhodeves!" "Good, I'll go over to greet them" Michelle walks out through the automatic doors, passing the Rhodeve Imperial Premier Benjamin Butang.

As the Jeongui Royals walked through the specially decorated airport, Michelle and her entourage of bodyguards break through the crowd to stop the parade. Michelle stops quickly, and tries her best at a bow. She says in a kind voice while smiling "Hello, Royals. Welcome to Aygon City. I am Michelle Ahina, The Commissioner of The Seven United and am very humbled to welcome you. Would you wish to come to the lounge with us and meet with other delegates, before we lead you to Unitary Parliament?"

Kavanagh who didn't leave with Michelle to see the Jeongui Royals, met with Benjamin Butang, the Imperial Premier of Rhodevus. As Benjamin came through the automatic door, Kavanagh welcomed them. "Hello Premier Butang! Welcome to Aygon City. This is the first class lounge and here there are many other ambassadors and leaders and monarchs from other countries, *points rather rudely to the Premier of Librira* there is Ivan Gurov, the Premier of Librira. I had a lovely chat with him, and over there is the Viscovian King Charles the Second of Viscovia, the services here are minimalized for the arrival of our special guests, the cigar room is to your very left and next to that, the toilets. You can get some food, but I'd advise from it, the banquet would be quite filling! I'm sorry about the weather, it's been like this for weeks. Our rainy season, they say, any questions for me, Premier?"

Charles noticed the other world leaders, and decided to wait till they had sorted things out, and sat in one of the chairs, thinking of several ongoing issues within his own kingdom. He said to the general "What do you think so far" General Karl said "they seem a worthy trade partner and maybe a military ally, but I wouldn't cross my fingers until we know more" Charles nodded and said "Well there's plenty of time to work on that"

Benjamin smiled. "Well, hello Kavanagh. It is a pleasure to see you again. Of course you probably don't remember me as I was with the Queen Diana Wolff at the time, who is very much a more prominent force. But, with her and Sierra away, it is me and the Head Ambassador, who really wishes she could make it at this time, but has some very urgent business to handle in the Rhodeve Embassy. Here's to finding new ways to bring our nations closer together."

He then went into the Lounge to see the other leaders. He first went up to the Libririans. "Hello Premier Ivan. An honour to see you once again." He then bowed his head politely to the King of Viscovia. "Your majesty."

"Why did you drag me into this?" Cindy quietly asked her twin sister, with a tone that had hints of minor annoyance.
"Because," the Karen said, "I know that you will be interested in metting them, since I know you have a fascination of eastern cultures and pratices, not to mention a potential to spark more reseach between the two."
"Sounds like you're acting like me today."
"And you seem to be acting like me."
"Strange, but we could swap roles for a day, we're both wearing similar business attire, just you have a shirt with a slight bluish tint."
"Well, that would be a hilarious prank, I feel that we should be professional and give the best impression we can."
Both of them looks around, seeing for anyone they know. "Hey," Karen said, "over there is the Viscovian delegates.", while making a slight head tilt for a second to not be just pointing fingers, something see doesn't really like to do that often when in a formal situation. "Over there's some of Rhodevus." Cindy said, "and I believe from Librira as well!". KAren then said, "Wan't to talk with the Rhodeve?"
Cindy said back, sure, just remember that because I'm doing you a favor, you have to give me one later on.". KAren looked at her and said, "A deal's a deal. Just let me know." The three, being the queen and the two princesses, went over to the Rhodeve to hit up a conversation.

King Charles noticed the new arrivals, he had already readied himself for the fact he was going to be seeing a lot of new faces, he stood, and approached the Belantican delegates. He bowed and said "hello, I'm afraid we have not met, I am King Charles the second, king and representative of the Kingdom of Viscova"

Benjamin smiled as he looked over to the Belanticans; close allies to Rhodevus, huge trading partners and newly made Commonwealth members. First, he stepped in front of Cindy Pearson. "Hello Queen Karen, it is a pleasure to see you again."

He turned to Karen. "And you too Ms. Cindy. I hope you are doing well, and dare I say that you look very much like your sister, I am going to have trouble telling you two apart!"

King Geonheung smiled at Michelle's attempt to bow. He knew this was a very foreign custom in the west, and he greatly appreciated the effort she had made. He returned the bow, along side his wife, son and daughter-in-law, and listened to the minister whispering in his ear, translating her offer to enter the lounge. The King nodded, and began to speak in Korean. "This is Minister Won. He is my translator," he began to explain before continuing, "a lounge is not a proper place for a Queen or Prince to be at. They will go on to our hotel, but I would be honoured to join you and the other guests."

The Royal Family all gave a deep bow before King Geonheung before turning Michelle and bowed before her. They were led off by attendants who would accompany them back to their hotel. This left King Geonheung standing before Michelle. He had been married late in life, and his wife was much younger than he was. In the Western Age tradition, King Geonheung is 62 years old, but in Jeongui he is 64 years old. He had always liked being older in Jeongui when he was a youth - but now he appreciates being younger in the West. He was tall for Jeonguians - standing at 1.8 metres, and walked with a slight limp. He'd served in the army during the Kaimingese invasion in the 1970's as a young man, and had been shot in the leg during the war.

Suddenly it hit him. He had heard in the West it was customary for men to enter rooms first and hold the door open for women. Should he do this for the new Commissioner? Should he instruct one of his ministers to open the door for her? Suddenly the feelings of anxiety he had felt on the plane rushed over him again. "I wish we learnt more of Western customs in my youth like the youth of today do" he thought to himself. He just hoped his worrying was not showing on his face. He broke the silence and nodded to the door, speaking to one of his nearby servants "open the door for the King of Jeongui" - the traditional command given - but he quickly amended it by adding "and Commissioner Michelle." As the two walked into the room he congratulated her on her successful election.

The twins were confused, looked at each other, and smiled. Then Karen said, "I think you've are having trouble telling us apart!", while blushing at the slight embarrassment. "You've called me by my sister's title!" Cindy said, while giggling a little bit. "But yes, we're doing quite well today and it's good to be seeing you again." the queen said with a softer voice. "Anyway, I just saw the king of Jeongui head off with the commissioner, hopefully we can catch up to them sometime." She then turned to Charles, "Ah, please to meet you, I'm Queen Karen of Belantica, representing the Royal States here. This is my twin sister Cindy, and my soon-to-be wife Viktoria."

"Oh, I am dreadfully sorry! I did say I was going to mix up your names, didn't I?" Benjamin smiled. "And it is nice to see you too Ms. Soon to be Mss. Viktoria."

"Thank you my friend. Diana is doing very well. In a couple weeks when she is allowed to travel with her son, she did say she would love to spend some vacation time in Librira."

Charles smiled and said "a pleasure to meet you all, and congratulations" he then said "I will have to visit the Royal States sometime, I've been rather busy and it would do me some good to get away from the stress for a day or two" He then nodded towards the General and said "the older fellow over there is Brigadier General Karl, commanding officer of the 4th Royal Dragoons and a close friend of mine, he might run off as strange but he means well"

"I look forward to possibly greeting her should she decide to visit, and of course Comrade Premier you are welcome to visit Librira for vacation or otherwise if you choose. "

"IOt's okay if you mixed us, up we get it all the time!" Cindy said to Benjamin. "Maybe we should have worn different outfits today."

"Please do come visit sometime," Karen said to Charles, " it's not too often that many leaders come to visit our country, it's a truly unique place that has much to offer and discover. Over there is the governor of the sate of Watkins, Simon Porter, the son of the late Daniel Porter who was also a governor of the same state, and that is Sjin Makato, the current mayor of Nuranto, one of the most populated and most important cities of the country. He's here to represent that the city is both eastern and western, where both worlds mingle."

Charles said "I look forward to seeing it" he checked his watch quickly and then said "I'm not looking forward to dealing with Duke Jugo tommorrow, I'm scheduled to visit him to meet his daughter, Lady Melody, if she's anything like my nine previous suitors, she's not exactly going to be pleasant company" he wasn't terribly happy about the prospects of that meeting, and would rather be doing paperwork
