辽宁雇佣军, LLC Executive Director 08-15-23 Red August After three months of stagnation, a decisive push was made against the forces of the Kalmarian coalition (KCF) by our own coalition forces (SCF). I've enclosed the details below. Phase 1: St.Petersburg was quickly purged of the holdouts that didn't retreat back to the finnish border several months ago along with some foreign volunteers. Shock troops fresh from Moscow pushed into the city with support from friendly artillery and USSS infantry. Starved of supplies and faced with hordes of enemy combatants, several brigade sized elements decided to surrender under the promise of safe travel back to Kalmar once the conflict was over. A particularly stubborn Miltonian battalion had taken up residence in a university and required several days of shelling before finally throwing up the white flag. Several Kalmarian patrol ships ferried retreating troops and crucial assets back into their mainland. Sietsk's navy was not able to intervene due to their essential fire support duties. Phase 2: Estonia was liberated of the Coalition forces that had dug in for the past few months. Seeing that there would be no back up, NGU (cannot verify) forces scorched the city and surrounding country side before joining their main force along the Finnish border. The city of Tallinn, once considered a moderate asset of Sietsk, is now barren. Tremendous amounts of humanitarian spending will likely eat away at Sietsk's funding if they attempt to support their now homeless citizens. Phase 3: Sietskan forces (~700,000) along with USSS shock troops (~45,000) pushed into the southern finnish border and clashed against the brunt of Kalmar's military. Allied forces initiated their assault with salvos of naval artillery and MLRS trucks. Sietskan artillery teams then proceeded to launch their chemical ordinance into Finnish strongholds to kill and disperse enemy forces. Now on high alert, enemy coalition forces mobilized aerial assets and began counter-artillery shelling. KCF multi-role fighters destroyed several MLRS sites before being shot down by Sietskan interceptors and AAA. KCF counter artillery was largely ineffective at taking out Sietskan artillery, but several key roads were battered and made useless to any would-be invaders. Under the cover of air and naval support, SCF infantry and armored divisions pushed forward and engaged the main KCF force. Dug in KCF armor enjoyed very little competition as advanced NGU tanks picked away at USSS AFV's and older Sietskan tanks. Eventually USSS Kornet and Khrizantema teams disabled or destroyed enough KCF armor to allow mechanized troops to push further into the Finnish border. SEAD jets destroyed the majority of the KCF's AAA before being destroyed by a Kalmarian squadron. While it was a costly loss of SEAD aircraft, Sietskan gunships now had a significantly easier time operating in the AO. Phase 4: Our contractors (~250,000) made a coordinated push into the eastern country side with the help of two elite Panjali armored divisions (~30,000) and ten more expendable Panjali Infantry divisions (~150,000). Taken by surprise, several Kalmarian brigades were cut down by the advanced armor and hordes of infantry pouring into their borders. We continued to push rapidly into the east until hitting a Worrisian roadblock in Joensuu. Fresh troops greeted our personnel with artillery fire and SACLOS systems. The ensuing fight bogged us down for several weeks before combined infantry and armored assaults eventually forced the Worrisian troops to retreat back to the more strategically valuable city of Helsinki. The death toll for both sides is currently estimated to be in the tens of thousands. Phase 5: Realizing that holding the line in the south would mean that our contractors would have a straight shot to Helsinki, the brunt of the KCF pulled back to the large city and surrounding provinces. What few remnants were left quickly surrendered or died to the approaching forces. A brief battle began in Jyväskylä as NGU special forces and an infantry battalion, trapped inside a museum, fought to the bitter end. The majority the abandoned territory is now under SCF control, though sporadic firefights from locals and leftover troops still occur. A massive KCF force, largely foreign, is expect to be on the new front line. It's large ports are also problematic for SCF forces. KCF reinforcements should have an easy time deploy provided that extensive escorts are provided. The Butcher's Bill (Start - 08/15/23): 辽宁雇佣军, LLC - 51,000 Sietsk - 195,000 Kalmar - 360,000 NGU - 22,000 Miltonia - 3,900 Worris - 9,800 Panjali Contractors - 34,000 USSS - 3,500 Casualty counts may be skewed ~2-5%, contradicting reports are extremely common. The pre-war Kalmarian military is no more. A battered husk has taken its place with only its flotilla remaining more or less untouched. Were it not for its foreign volunteers, the KCF would likely be forced to enter diplomatic talks. As it stands the NGU is responsible for the brunt of the fighting in Finland. Present borders.
