David frowned. "Now why would you think that. I let you sit on my lap, when I could've made you sit on the floor. Speaking of which," his smile broke out again. "Why don't you take a seat there now?" His free hand patted his lap, and his voice had the unertones of a command.

Amber frowned. She was a slave, held there in her skimpy version of a maid's outfit. She tugged at the tiny skirt which revealed so much of her toned thighs. She settled down uncomfortably in his lap, her body tense and rigid. "Yes, sir," she said politely.

David noticed the tension. "Why so tense?" He put a hand on her thigh, the other still up her skirt. "You didn't seem to have a problem with this yesterday."

David looked confused. "Am I treating you like one now?" He patted her thigh.

"Well, yeah," Amber said gently. Her tone softened as she realized that David didn't mean any offense. "I get groped by your father and his friends all the time and I really hate it. You're supposed to make me feel normal, not grab me while I'm working or order me into your lap."

David was glad she toned down. "Dad can be a bit...indiscreet. I mean no offense, Amber. You can go back to work now."

David thought her heard Padma and Crystal in the hallway. "Here come your friends," he remarked.

"I don't mind being in your lap," Amber said. "Just don't grope when you walk by." Crystal and Padma walked in.

David nodded. "OK, deal." He looked over to Padma and Crystal. "Hello, ladies." He smiled and winked at Padma.

David wagged a finger. "Now girls, play nice!" He patted Amber on the side. "You should get back to work, dear."

With his lap clear, he looked back at Crystal. "Still want a seat?"

David rolled his eyes. "Can't women ever make up their mind? Crystal, it looks like you're going to wait." He pulled Amber back into his lap. "There, happy?"

"No, we can't," Amber said, kissing his cheek lightly. Crystal sat on the arm of the chair, crossing her legs.

David kissed Amber on her cheek. "You girls could probably use some breakfast, right? I'm no cook, but being in the Army is wonderful for learning how to make something out of nothing. You want eggs?"

"OK then. Amber, we can pick up where we left off later." He got up, and made scrambled eggs in a couple of minutes. They weren't the best, but they tasted decent.

David set his plate down and pulled Amber back into his lap, stroking her hair. "Now, where were we?"

Amber smiled, settling into his lap. She liked the feel of his hands through her black, silky hair. She leaned forward and kissed him softly on the mouth.

David kissed back. "Man," he said as he pulled away, "if'd I known I'd get this reception I would've gotten here faster. Too bad I'm only here for a few more days." His hand traveled down her back. "So much to do, so little time." He chuckled.

David shrugged. "Sorry, but I've only got a few days of downtime. We should make the most of it. Speaking of which," he paused to take sip of coffee. "Would you girls like to accompany me into town tomorrow for dinner? I'm meeting an old friend from the service and I'm sure he'll die when I show up with you three."
