Unless you can render the massive presence of a 2 klick object is going to have on the local gravity field, your stealth is moot.

And that presence int he local gravity is field is going to be massively increased through the use of a Black Hole drive to the point were ground based sensors could pick it up.

But yea, this isn't 40K, i get your thinking behind Heat sinks, and running cool, but that only works for so long before you have to vent that heat and prevent your units from freezing.

Forget the gravity, you can always see the stupid thing. If visuals don't work, radar will. If neither of those will, that means the geometry is such that you can just use lidar and spot it that way.

Btw stealth ships at 2km length are basically impossible to be stealthy. It's impossible to contain all the massive emissions from such a large ship.

That's why it won't be right in your face.

Oddly enough, I've been the one doing most of the discussing in that regard.

We'll have to figure something out about the idea of such a large ship being able to cloak - and, in particularly, from what.

Good news, everyone. My schedule is lightening up considerably, which means I'll be able to post more often (and thus also rapidly) moving forward.

Unfortunately, that does not entail for tonight. Heading off to bed, but I'll post sometime tomorrow.

Does Imperial Esplanade just have the one habitable planet?
If not, what are the other habitable worlds called?
How many other planets are there that aren't inhabited

Excellent question, and I'm glad you had asked. Imperial Esplanadian territory encompasses three solar systems, nicknamed the "Freedom System," "Democritus System," and "International System." Each of them have been "designed," that is from scratch, after Imperial Esplanade's predecessor state had fallen apart. Basically, the government had decided to auction off its' territory and used the profits to help fund the creation of a new home. I'll focus on the primary system, and the one that is applicable to this roleplay: Freedom. This is the beating heart of the nation, with a Class G Star in the center named "Lucem." (Officially, it is the "Lucem System," but goes by the nickname of "Freedom" fairly often.)

The first planet is an uninhabited (save for two small complexes on the surface) and molten body, not too dissimilar from Mercury, known as Gehenna. Gehenna is used sometimes as a military training ground and for weapons testing, some scientific experimentation, and a maximum security prison saved for only the worst of criminals. The first complex is, obviously, that prison system whereas the other one is a scientific base of operations. They are on opposing sides of the planet, which has a very thin atmosphere (though is non-existent for practical purposes). Gehenna has no moons.

The second planet is a desert world, Alejandro, with a slightly thicker atmosphere (though the planet is still somewhat hostile to any form of life). Alejandro does have a domed community that takes up almost 1/6th of the planet, and politically-speaking it keeps to itself. Alejandro has one moon, but it has no atmosphere and has no inhabitants.

The third planet when things get interesting. Gregoria is a smaller Earth-like planet, but is sparsely populated due to the fact that Imperial Esplanade is still a relatively young nation and has not had the time nor resources to commit to a serious habitation-effort on Gregoria. Gregoria has two orbiting moons and has a small asteroid belt (by design), with the two moons serving as docking stations and security checkpoints. Gregoria also serves as a launching point for expeditions to Alejandro and Gehenna. Like Alejandro though, Gregoria has kept mostly to itself and is unaffected by the Civil War (at least thus far). Aside from imported agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock, Gregoria has no live outside of its' human inhabitants.

The fourth planet is New Castillo, an almost exact replica of Earth when it comes to size, atmosphere (though much more nourishing for humans), and water. Obviously, the landmasses are a bit different and all life has been imported - primarily from Earth. New Castillo is the homeworld and capitol of Imperial Esplanade, though it is not home to the Queen herself (who lives on Olea - she just so happened to be on New Castillo when conflict erupted). New Castillo is heavily populated, with many major cities spread all over, and even has designated "refugee zones" to welcome in anyone who is seeking a new home, as well as a domed community for alien life who also seek a new home (and are not compatible with New Castillo's atmosphere). New Castillo has four moons: two of which serve as military bases and harbors for Imperial Esplanade's fleet, the latter two for civilian and scientific uses. The two civilian/scientific moons are inhabitable, with a rich atmosphere, as designed. They are known as "Henderson" and "Langlois" (named after the two most influential Grand Republican President, Langlois being Queen Emmy's father). New Castillo, and its' moons, is now almost under the complete control of the Resistance.

The fifth planet is not too far from New Castillo (slightly more than the distance between Mars and Earth), and is a gas giant called "Constantinople." The gas giant has nearly a dozen moons, but one of them is of particular note considering that it is the only inhabitable body orbiting Constantinople as well as the fact that it is the tropical paradise of Olea and is the home of Queen Emmy as well as her family. Olea is slightly more populated than Gregoria, but still sparsely populated nonetheless. The moon is quickly becoming the center of allied support for the Queen and government supporters as they flee Resistance territory.

The sixth and seventh planets are also gas giants, each with massive rings and orbiting stations in its' upper atmosphere. The sixth being home to a orbiting city/space station, and the seventh being home to a massive outer-military outpost (to respond to incoming threats). Beyond that is a large asteroid belt and minefield, with FT:-interdiction being perpetually set up for a few hundred AUs from the outermost rim of the asteroid belt, but I'm going with the presumption that it has been disabled due to the fact that everyone has pretty much ignored that fact and dropped ships out of nowhere in the middle of the Freedom System, sometimes even right outside of the orbit of New Castillo, but my next post will include the re-activation of FTLi by the Resistance.

Democritus is a colony system, and International is currently uninhabited (though the intention was to establish a sort of 'free trade zone' and a peaceful place for people of all nations to gather, do business, or hold conferences.

This post-not-going-through thing is really started to irk me. Going to post tonight, HOPEFULLY at least.
