The great Socialist Republic of Fluffywuffy, in an attempt to end the economic and political disaster after the fall of the Third Empire and the rise of the Socialist Republic, has announced today that it is nationalizing all farms and agricultural facilities in order to better provide for the people of the nation.
Radical capitalists have complained that a Socialist government can not calculate the needs of a population, but, rest assured, our expert teams of agricultural and nutritional scientists have discovered the perfect blend of foods to help weather this crisis and ensure that all people have a healthy diet. The tired arguments of Mises, Hayek, and other radical bourgeois oppressors of the common worker will be shown to be false.
The Revolutionary Home Guard has been authorized to send its troops to assist in the seizure of any and all property for the glory of the worker; this is only a precautionary measure to ensure that the people of this Republic speedily support this revolution. Haste is a necessity in this project; too long a wait would spell doom for the people.
In the mean time, the Socialist Republic is seeking alternative suppliers of food to help weather this storm as the revolution's wheels keep turning. In exchange for the production of military arms, we would like grains and other foodstuffs for our nation.
Republican Intelligence was watching the situation carefully. Word from above was that a possible war as brewing between the Socialist Republic and the Scandinvan Empire, a war which would be harder fought than the Revolution itself. Spy satellites were watching the Scandinvan Empire's vessels creep into the sea. A full account was being made, but it was certain not to be complete; who could sea the warships beneath the sea? Who knew which vessels would be heading for the homeland? Only time would tell their full strength, but what could be detected was impressive.
Analysts had patched together a fleet numbering in the hundreds, a number which was now haunting the Revolutionary Military High Command. The inherited Imperial Navy, now Revolutionary Navy, in its entirety numbered about that much. The navy was almost entirely intact and would have air support from the mainland, but it would be a tough fight indeed if it came to blows.
The entire navy was to set sail, organized into 5 fleets of two carrier battlegroups each. This would give the Revolutionary Military High Command the flexibility to detach and reorganize units as needed should battle commence. All fleets were to stay within range of air support.
John Karensky gave what he hoped would be his final address concerning the Scandinvan Empire.
"People of the Scandinvan Empire, we do not deny the inalienable right to property; we worship it as wholly as you do. However, we believe the right to property lies not with the individual, but with society. Society as a whole must benefit from any property, and we are taking property into society step by step. We will not stop our society from acting on its beliefs as enshrined in the Revolution because of the threats of a foreign imperialist nation. We have throne off the yoke of imperialism ourselves, and we invite the people of the Scandinvan Empire to throw off their own imperial chains and be as liberated as we are."
