Fyodor knew it was the end, all of his guards had been killed by the Black Devils. He saw Chavez, a boy of only seventeen, gunned down without mercy or remorse. Now the Mercs were beginning to flank around the horse corpse protecting him from their fire. One of the Mercs jumped the corner only to get a face full of lead from Fydor's sidearm. The other Mercs, seeing their buddy cut down, were more cautious in their approach. But they were approaching Fyodor, getting closer and closer. There was no way he could take all of them, but dammit he would try! he didn't survive 28 years of civil war to die to some faceless goons!

As he readied himself for the end, he heard the thunder of hooves and the yells of warriors. It was the Republican Cavalry!

Image

The Cavalry were made up by the various Steppe Tribes that made Bezlan-Fahvgorad their home. They were excellent, traditional, horsemen. And had bravery like no other. And there was hundreds of them charging the mercenaries.

The mercs began to panic, but soon started firing into the cavalry. Taking down most of the first rank. But it wasn't enough, the cavalry crashed into the mercenaries, their black armor not designed to protect against swords and lances, the mercenaries were cut down in seconds.

After the carnage, they spotted Fydor, still behind his dead steed. After they realized who he was, Andrei Plastov, the cavalries commander called out to their president.

"Mr Fydor! thank God your alright! the land is in Chaos! these Black Devils are everywhere, killing everything they see. And Haffenburg is... Haffenburg is gone, destroyed by what i think is a nuclear bomb." said Plastov

"Yes i know, give me a ride! we must rally our forces and push these barbarians back to hell from whence they came!" shouted the president

"Of course Mr President, jump on!" and with that the President got onto the back of Plastov's horse, soon the cavalry was heading out to rally any allied forces they could find...

In light of what has happened, we hope this message can get to someone of authority. In light of the nuclear detonation and unconfirmed reports we are getting of lost military bases, we would like to offer once more military support. We can mobilize entire division, or less depending on your governments preference. Should this be denied again, we would at least offer support in the form of air strikes against the communist forces. The Army Engineers are still on their way, should you still want them. They are lightly armed and have some combat experience. We wish your nation well in your incredibly difficult times.

The Republican cavalry marched for miles, going from village to village. Recruiting conscripts for the war effort, and taking in Militiamen already stationed there. Occasionally they would find abandoned villages, filled with the dead and anything of value being taken away. It seemed the mercenaries favorite method of destruction was stripping the men and women of the village naked "to ensure that they don't hide any valuables" then locking them all in a barn, and lighting it on fire. Killing almost everyone in the village.

The Republican forces found that the survivors of such attacks, gladly signed up as willing conscripts, wanting revenge for their dead families. Eventually they stumbled upon the old PRF fort, upon explaining what had happened to the the former rioters living there "who had begun to call themselves Frontiersmen" they gladly sent most of their men into the Republican army. They had grown strong in the months since their initial exodus from Haffenburg, and were excellent long range riflemen and snipers.

After establishing a force of around two thousand infantry, alongside the three hundred cavalry. President "now acting General" Fyodor Durov found that it was imperative to take over a one of their lost bases "that houses communications equipment" in order to communicate with their allies.

The closest fort was fort Vlad, an old Medieval castle reinforced with concrete and modern battlements, surrounded by forest.

Fort Vlad
Image

The mercenary forces had taken it over two days ago, overwhelming the small defense force, it was said that their commander only known as the "Scorpion" had a habit of enslaving and then working to death his captured foes. The only soldier to escape the fort, one "Zujic Bratislav" says that he knows of a secret entrance to the fort, that while normally meant to be used for escape, could be used to enter.

From his reports, the fort was occupied by three hundred men, well trained, well armed, well armored, and thirsty for blood. Individually more than a match for the Republican forces in their fabric uniforms and mix-matched guns. But cohesively weaker due to poor leadership, and their lack of drive for anything other than material gain.

The plan was simple, Zujic would lead a special force of twelve of Durov's best PFRA troops, infiltrate the fort. Free the slaves, arm them, then take over the inside of the fort while the main force attack from the front.
........................................................................................

Zujic hated these men with every fiber of his being, they had butchered his comrades like animals. He wished that he died there, with his brothers in arms, why should they die and l live? he asked himself. The only thing keeping Zujic going was the chance to get vengeance on the men that killed his friends.

Zujic and his squad sneaked in from the forest, and approached the fort. When they got to the walls, Zujic pulled the lever to the secret entrance, disguised as one of the walls between the decorative niches that covered the castle.

While this happened, the frontiersmen began to surround the castle under the cover of the forest. Behind them the conscripts and semi professional BFRA. The frontiersmen got to work, taking down the sentries and snipers on the walls in seconds with their scoped hunting rifles.

The mercs were startled at first, but soon to began to set up snipers of their own. But the frontiersmen had planned for this, and had set up camouflage and hiding spots beforehand. The duel of the snipers was decidedly one sided on the frontiersmen's side.

So far Zujic and his squad had met no resistance in the Castles catacombs, but soon they were going to enter the holding cells where the slaves were supposedly being held. When Zujic held his ear towards the door for signs of enemy combatants, he heard an ongoing conversation.

"So when this worker was complaining about being hungry you know what i did?"

"What?"

"I fed him all right, i fed him a bunch of hot lead! he will never be hungry again!"

As the two men began laughing, Zujic, flaming with rage. Bursts through the door and aims his sub-machine gun at the back of one of the guards. He then unloads his entire clip into the bastard. Only he only stumbles for a bit, then turns around aiming his rifle at Zujic, his armor absorbing the bullets with only minor bruising on the guard. If it weren't for his entire team unloading their magazine into the two guards as quick as possible, Zujic would have died.

Zujic then loots the keys from one of the dead guards. As he approaches the slave pens, cries of thanks from the slaves could be heard. Most of the slaves went quiet when Zujic opened the cell doors, and handed the nearest man a rifle. Stating "that if you want to be free, earn it."

Outside of the fort the mercenaries stopped sending men onto the battlements, realizing the futility in it and waste of lives.

"Looks like the cowards are done fighting us, guess they got tired and decided to hide in their little fort!" said a older frontiersmen

"You said it, if this keeps up. I'm going to die of boredom rather than mercs ." said the younger of the two

As the the two men laughed, the screeching of artillery could be heard. Soon the spot where the two men had laid was turned into a empty crater.

"They have Howitzers! everyone get down!" shouted one the men

"No! charge! we're sitting ducks out here" shouted a senior officer

With that the conscripts and the BFRA charged towards the castle, with the frontiersmen providing covering fire. The machine gun nest stationed at the opened gate lost its crew from the scoped hunting rifles of the frontiersmen. The men rushed passed the emptied encampment. But soon were met by a hail of bullets from the entrenched defenders, wave after wave of conscripts were cut down in the charges by the professional mercs.

It seemed like the battle was going to be a decisive victory for the mercenaries, that was until Zujic's squad and the armed slaves attacked from behind the emplacements. Being attacked on both sides, the defenders were overrun and slaughtered, being repaid with the same mercy they showed the people of Bezlan-Fahvgorad.

The fort was captured, the Scorpion imprisoned, and his soldiers put to the sword. Many of the slaves returned to their families after the battle, but many more stayed. Wanting to take revenge on their captors, and defend their land.

With that Fyodor entered the castle, and began emailing messages to his allies with the communications equipment....

We have gotten your message only after much bloodshed and destruction. We require your aid, we gladly accept any men and supplies your willing to send. But we will warn you, this is dangerous land, most of them likely won't be coming back. If your willing to make such a sacrifice for are sake, we won't stop you.

News Repot

As the second Bezlan-Fahvgoradian civil war rages on, the Black Band has began to look for new ways to fund its ever growing size and power. Seeing a opportunity in the selling of slaves and organs internationally, the Black Company has begun capturing and then selling citizens of Bezlan-Fahvgorad "rather then just killing them and stealing their valuables" they sometimes sell them whole, but more often than not, they are known to sell them bit by bit. Smuggling the parts and slaves out of the country through fast speed boats, and jets.

With the approval from Bezlan-Fahvgorad, a division consisting of 15,000 men was mobilized. By the end of the week, they should make landfall in the country after gathering the necessary supplies and equipment. By now, the Hoosier Army Engineers had landed, but not in the capital as planned. Instead, they were directed to land at a large city's airport. With them came weapons. Mostly Hoosier made M16A5s (the newest version of the M16), Humvees, and IFVs. Larger equipment, such as M1 Abrams tanks, would come with the division of men.

The division we are sending is battle hardened and will serve you greatly. The major general in charge of the unit is also very experienced. We hope they are able to help restore order to your nation. Please inform us of where you would like to receive them, so they can be useful to you as soon as they land.

We thank you for your continued support. We would like these troops at fort Vlad, southwest of the ruins of Haffenburg. Know that communist and mercenary guerrillas lurk at every corner, alongside hidden mines and bandits. Once at fort Vlad, our troops will join up with your forces. Hopefully with are combined forces, we can push the communist barbarians back.

Too the northern island. G.Z.A touched down. Dropping goods and base supplies along with the tools and boots to set the FoB up. Once unpacked on the dropzone they set up a perimeter with barbed wire.. Combat engineers placing landmines and trip wires. Working the explosives in layers. Barbed wire,Explosives, Barbed wire, Explosives, Tank traps, Explosives. Till they were 400meters from the base itself. Troops rushed left and right. Setting up AA-guns and missile sights around the camp.. Artillery was focused in-land as well as rocket artillery. Youth infantry set up the barracks.. Combat technical units set the ground for comm's relay. This was getting more and more serious by the second.. The perimeter was nothing but mud, Barbwire, light bunkers and mines.
--
Grasla whistled. He got all the officers into the command tent. Then followed suit. "Alright. I want maps of all the cities and towns in the land..Tonight we will run night ops to see for our selves what the hells going on. I also want the damn comm's open with anyone we can get! They sent us in rushed. So we don't know the enemy from the friendly." One of the youth officers nodded then went to retrieve what they had. Meanwhile The helicopters they dropped from the jets were set and ready..

Vavilov was enraged, the mercenaries he had paid had gone rouge, and had begun tearing apart the country side. It would be better for the image for the Peoples Revolutionary Front it we completely disassociated with the black devils as they were murderers, rapists, and slavers, he thought. After much contemplation, Vavilov decided that he could turn this disaster around to his advantage. If he wiped out the mercenaries, and destroyed all proof of his involvement with them, than surely no one would suspect it was him? it could even be pushed into propaganda, yes, it would truly be glorious.

He had to admit, he hadn't expected such barbarity from them in the first place, he hired them to take down military bases, not pillage the countryside. Perhaps Golav was right, traitor he may be. Recruiting them was a mistake.

In two days he was to meet with their leadership in order to renew their contract, that's when Vavilov was going to strike.

............................................................................................................................................

2 days later...

Vavilov waited patiently for Commander Nico Fevali, one of the three leading generals in the Black Companies invasion force. As he entered Vavilov's command tent alongside his four guards, he was met by a simple nod of approval from the Communist general.

"Ahhh Commander Fevali, its truly a pleasure, please sit"

and with that Vavilov's two guards brought chairs out for the two men, who both sat in almost perfect unison. A table was then brought in between them with bread and water.

"The pleasure is all mine, Mr Vavilov. Now enough with the pleasantries, I'm here to negotiate the renewal of our contract... two million" said the hardened commander

"Two million? it was but one million a month ago!" shouted Vavilov

"We gotta fund our boys somehow, you want us to fight with yours? pay us, or your dead with the rest of this pathetic country. We will have our money, either you give it to us willingly, or we pry it open from your vault. It makes no difference to me." said Fevali

"Ahhhh but that is where you are wrong Mr Fevali, your plans to back stab me have been plainly obvious from the beginning. You enslave my people, when i hire you to save them from Fyodor! foolish old man, you were dead when you entered this tent!"

With that Fevali's men quickly draw their rifles, but are soon cut down by Communist soldiers who had been behind them the entire time. Fevali took a bullet to the side and fell to the ground, wounded, but not dead.

"Men, show Mr Fevali what happens to the enemies of the people" ordered Vavilov

With that two of the Rebels grabbed the hapless mercenary commander, and then smashed his face into the water glasses on top of the table. Glass shards got into every orifice in his face, and he was blinded from the glass in his eyes. His screams of mercy were overshadowed by the sounds of bones breaking from the brutal beating he was receiving.

"Keep this one alive for long as possible, i want him to know what happens to the enemies of the Peoples Revolution"
.............................................................................................................................................................

MESSAGE TO THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD

"The Glorious Peoples Revolutionary Front has captured the Black Company commander Nico Fevali, and is preparing a massive force to drive the mercenary invaders from our glorious homeland! soon all peoples shall be free from their tyranny, the Revolution cannot be stopped!"

With that, the image of what was once Nico Fevali is shown. His eyes gouged out, his nose cut off. And a Hammer and Sickle carved into the side of his face.

"Know this is what happens to the enemies of the people!"

The G.Z.A radio tent picked up the signal.. They got the channel codes then kept it tuned in. They wrote down what they could then passed it down the line. Soon it reached the commander. He read it over then rubbed at his chin. "Hmn send a reply.. Word for word. This is the Peoples Republic of the Grand Zulimat. We have heard this word you send. We wish to... Work some sort of agreement out as we were only here for aid of all civilians.- End message." Officer in charge saluted then shuffled back to his post. Relaying the message over the channel they picked up.

We of the Armed Republic of Eolman have watched from the sidelines with great interest in the war of ideology. While we have had our initial reservations in interjecting in a foreign war, our history has taught us that the plague of Communism is a threat to all. As First Man of the Republic I solemnly extend my nation's hand in earnest support. As we believe in a swift end to this war, the Eolman Republic will provide military aid and hopes this is sufficient to turn the tides of battle to your favour. Official Dispatch of the Federalist Republic

Image

To Fyodor Durov,

As you may well know, recent events in your country have attracted the attention of the international community. Millions are watching the developments in your country with growing concern and the most recent atrocity of an apparent nuclear weapon deployed against a civilian population center. Human life is a sacred thing and it has become painfully obvious that certain members of your opposition do not respect this. To add onto this recent rumors have been confirmed that the Black Company has assets operating within your borders. If you are not aware, the Federal Republic has placed a bounty of $500,000USD on the heads of any members of the Black Company for their human trafficking operations.

In light of this we extend our offer of aid to the people of your nation. We have retasked a naval force that was operating in patrols near the region to rearm and reequip for humanitarian aid. The personnel aboard those ships will be deployed with appropriate CBRN equipment and will begin to establish a safety zone for refugees from the attack, as well as transportation for those willing citizens who would seek refuge aboard the fleet. We will also take into refuge those who secure their own means of transportation to Federal Republic territory. At your permission the fleet's Marine contingent will deploy to secure the nearest international-scale airport in order to facilitate the safe and easy passage of fixed-wing aircraft delivering supplies and humanitarian aid from Sha Mobutia. This will obviously allow for the discussion of the Corps of Engineers being deployed once the situation has stabilized to help restore infrastructure, as well as other forms of long-term relief and reconstruction to assist your people in their recovery.

With due respect,
- Maikel Cruyssen, President of the Federal Republic

Miles away away, the 1st Primary Fleet had already steered off from its original plotted course. Foam frothed up in their wake as over one hundred thousand tons of sovereign Mobutian territory made its way through the ocean. Sailors aboard the vessels kept themselves busy almost every hour of every day that it took - the ships in a preemptive lockdown for potentially sailing into a nuclear warzone with saltwater pumps being activated periodically partly in tests to wash the decks. Air crews ran through drills that had long since become muscle memory and instinct for those involved, while the Marines of Bravo company ran through briefings and drills on viable targets they might be asked to seize in order to secure a landing spot for the humanitarian forces to base themselves out of, as well as the potential threats they could be facing in-country.

They were making excellent progress on clear seas, and it wouldn't be very long before Mobutian fast-movers were over Fahvgoradian to scope out potential points of hostile activity. The Mobutians were coming. And they were clearly expecting trouble.

Within a few days, the Hoosier 1st Division arrived at Fort Vlad, as requested. They arrived in small "waves" by helicopter and brought supplies the same way. They did, however, brought in a dozen M1 Abram tanks with transport helicopters. Humvees and IFVs were also brought in. In all, about 15,000 men had landed. The whole process would take a while.

The major general of the force wanted an audience with the general of the Fort. He needed orders from him, as well as to inform him of additional armored units coming. They could be landed by ship at any port he wanted. It would be an entire tank battalion, consisting of 42 tanks. They could meet up with them at the landing point, or somewhere else. The major general would also request military airbases be opened to Hoosier F-35 Lightning multi-role fighters. The jets could bomb targets on the ground and were equipped with air-to-surface missiles, anti-tank missiles, and cluster munitions. They would be used to support any operations on the ground. Other than that, the Hoosier force was ready to fight alongside their new allies.

I'm interested!

While Welskerland doesn't agree with the government's ideology, Bezlan- Fahvgorad has experienced enough violence and chaos. The Welskian government is sending money and supplies to help the country rebuild, and some missionaries if that is alright.

Hello friends in the Peoples Republic of Grand Zulimat, despite changes in circumstance know that you may still provide aid to our battered and wounded people. Our soldiers will not fire upon you, but once again we request you that your do not help the Peoples Revolutionary Front. They're war criminals, nuking Haffenburg, and we also have good reason to suspect that they were the ones who hired the Black Company.

We thank you for your help.

We thank you for your offers of aid towards our people. You have are permission to carry out any operation "whether military or humanitarian" that you see fit. However as our Nation is still largely pre-Industrial, we had only one airport, and it was in Haffenburg. It was destroyed with the rest of the city. If your corps of Engineers wishes to establish an airport, we would gladly pay for it after the war. Once the war is over we hope to establish free trade with your nation, giving prosperity to all.

We look forward to working with you

To: The United Realm of Welskerland

We thank you for the humanitarian aid, we look out for our friends, and once the war is over we look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with your people. You may not send any missionaries, because not only is this a dangerous battleground filled with bandits and mercenaries who would have no problem killing a man of the cloth, but our people themselves are a threat too, as they are mainly Orthodox Christians, xenophobic Orthodox Christians. Perhaps after the war, but i will not put their lives on the line for nothing, sorry you may not send missionaries.

We look forward to working with you

Fyodor approached the major general of the Hoosier force, happy to see reinforcements finally come.

"General, I'm glad you could make it, are people have desperately required your aid. I am Fyodor Durov, president and acting general for the Militant Republic of Bezlan-Fahvgorad" with that the President walks over and shakes the Hoosier Generals hand.

"Over the past few months i have been recruiting men and women to join the Bezlan-Favgorad Republican Army, we have reached a little over twenty-thousand men, alongside three BR2 heavy howitzers."

After a brief pause, the President continues "I have received word that more of your forces are on their way, send word that they are to dock at the port city of Vadlich, south of here. We are to wait for them here, and once they get here, we will move on to take Fozen to the west from the PRF forces. We can get into specifics of the assault once the rest of your forces arrive, we shall overwhelm them in a tide of munitions!... any questions?"

"Good to meet you, Mr. President," the major general began, "I'll send word immediately. The armored battalion should make landfall today. They will join us as soon as they can. Our engineers have also arrived, and are available to build anything from roads and supply lines to airbases and fortifications. Use them as you will. If we can find a place to house and launch them, we can have F-35 multi-role fighters supporting our operations. Other than that, no comments and no questions. Just itching to finish these commie bastards once and for all."

"If you have an itch, i have an open wound." said the president.

"I've lost friends... comrades, that I've fought besides for over twenty years. All of those men, killed by that damn bomb. I will not rest until Communism has been erased from this Continent!" he shouted

"look around you, most of these men have lost someone to these reds bastards. Their wives, children, friends. They're resolve is absolute, and so is mine"

After a few minutes of calming down, the president resumes speaking. "Our only airport was destroyed with the rest of the city of Haffenburg, but we could establish some primitive dirt landing strips. They won't be able to support larger aircraft, and we'll have to repair them after every couple of takeoffs, but if you want to use aircraft short of a Carrier, it will have to do." the president then takes out a flask of vodka, and takes a long gulp of the bitter drink.

Postby Sha Mobutia » Thu Mar 09, 2017 9:03 pm

The people of Sha Mobutia, and in particular those among them who were actively wearing the uniform in military service, were used to a life of hardship that asked them to overcome trying circumstances. Now to be fair the 160 Marines of Bravo company hadn't exactly liked the idea of trying to hold an already established airfield in a country that had just seen nuclear weapons deployed, much less holding a great big expanse of nothing while they waited for the Naval Construction Battalion assets to be brought up and start stripping land for the base. But in the storied history of its existence, nobody in the FSMC's lower ranks had ever really been paid to provide their personal opinions. So they had worked with the fleet's air assets to try and formulate an ideal area. Some place where the Marines could defend the local area well enough even before more hardened defenses were put into place, while at the same time the Naval construction teams would be able to set up a sizable starting runway to be built off of with later planes from the archipelago. It was all oddly efficient for how comparatively unexpected the situation had been.

The particular spot chosen was several miles of relatively forested flat-land near Fort Vlad. The first signs of this site being chosen for anybody observing would come in the blazing-fast overflight of a pair of'T-72Ps from the first early morning that the carrier group had come into range flying over in shifts to observe any movements in the area by hostile forces or mercenary assets. Later that day the personnel in Fort Vlad would be able to strain their ears and hear the incoming assault transports. They came in flying low with the barrels of the gunners' DShK machineguns swiveled about to scan the ground below for any possible threats as the first of the helos came ever closer to the primary landing-zone just off-set from the intended airstrip's construction site. The men who loaded off might be nearly indistinguishable from one another - even Captain David Suroh anak Betong, the commanding officer of Bravo company. They were all clad in olive-drab and charcoal-packed one-piece suits, with the sleeves and legs pulled tight around thick boots and gloves, and the hoods pulled close enough around the gasmasks they wore that the only visible skin was through the eyeholes of their masks. Of course it also made breathing while sprinting uphill in a forest a special sort of PT hell for all involved.

But by the end of that first day the helicopters had come and gone again and again. Foxholes and trench-lines to connect them were dug up, sandbags began to pile up, and it wasn't long before heavy Kord machineguns were mounted in crude defensive structures at the quickly apparent points of entry where roads had yet to be made between the chosen hill and the main roadway. From there the helicopters began to come in more visibly sunk low with heavy equipment and the Naval personnel to use it. Over the next few days there were plans and foundations put up for tents and prefabricated structures, wood-works, and eventually they would start to build more fortified and stable structures with a perimeter of concertina wire and HESCO bastions. and of course the primary feature at first was the dark earthen strip with the rudimentary traffic control tower with personnel from the carrier group having been brought over for help holding over operations until a more dedicated staff could take things over. It wouldn't be long before the facility would grow into a rudimentary but at least functional airbase for aircraft coming and going from the country.

In its time as a fledgling nation the Armed Republics had very little opportunity to make use of its expeditionary forces; many questioned the need for such a small country to even possess international capabilities. These talks fell flat on its face when a nuclear detonation wiped out an entire city, along with its citizens. Almost as soon as the city turned to ashes the boots of every military personnel within the Guards Airborne Corps were kicking up dust as they organized themselves. Vawdrey hadn't received his reply when the first C-130 tranports left the airstrip. Dark shadows cast over the new foreign land by the time the First Man had officially declared war on the communists.

There was of course the issue of finding an actual airstrip to land their behemoths. This issue was solved after the first wave was directed by the air traffic controller of a rather rudimentary airfield- its single runway could barely accommodate their transports but beggars can't be choosers. It would suffice for their needs, although it was an unexpected delay in their schedule. The commanding officer, Lieutenant General Sakarias Berkisson fortunately had the foresight to land a majority of his corp's engineer battalions in first wave of transports. It wasn't very long before the men was set to work on the airfield, refurbishing and upgrading current installations. The general spared a few grateful words to the Mobutian military for their initiative before taking control of the airfield, and made use of what little time they had preparing the airfield for the next wave.

Existing buildings were reinforced, defensive structures begun to resemble actual military installations and by the fourth day of their arrival the airfield had expanded by another hard earth runway, while the existing strip was converted into a concrete runway. The work continued as the second wave landed, rolling out IFVs and eager troops to swell their ranks. As the landing force swelled, so did the General's responsibilities; juggling construction operations, logistics and studying the country's geography kept his command staff busy for the next few days while construction work kept their men up all night. Known simply as the Mobutia-Eol airport, the general's efforts to expand the airfield soon provided a third hard earth runway, with work on converting the second strip to concrete starting. Watchtowers and checkpoints were erected to control the flow of bodies entering and leaving the military base. Permacrete bunkers appeared overnight, guarding the approaches, with bored men manning their posts. It was boring duty, but all things considered the prospect of operating in new lands was fairly exciting for the Vordur. Far more exciting than the typical bleak landscape of their homeland.

General Sakarias left the airport by the end of the week along with several of his officers to Fort Vlad. The angular, field-grey tankettes purred down the roads and lead the way for the rest of the convoy. Fort Vlad was not a very impressive structure: The elder was sure there was some historical significance to the fort in itself, however did not see anything that profoundly impacted the growth of the nation. Not yet, at least. It was on good ground and surrounded by good allies if the Mobutian marine commander was anything to go by. The vehicles spread out, both to impress and to cover all avenues in the event of a hasty ambush. Only the general's staff car remained in the center.

The door swung open, and Sakarias felt the hard earth from the soles of his boots. Flanked by his coterie of officers and a small section of infantry, the general entered the Fort, with a priority to meet the Republic's President and the commanding officers for the rest of the forces which formed the coalition. Lieutenant General Sakarias had very little expectations for his meeting: he found that was the easiest way to be disappointed in life.

As Fyodor see's the Eolmann General enter his fort, he begins to approach him. "Ahhh yes, you must be General Sakarias" as he says this, he reaches out his hand to the general.

Commander Armel Bret was not a patient man, he would be sure to flog the commanding officers of his late forces when they finally arrived. He had come here working for the Black Company, one of the worlds leaders in mercenary armies. Mercenaries had gone out of style centuries ago, but that just meant the market is open, supply and demand.

The Black Company was only one branch of a massive international syndicate, a syndicate that had its fingers in everything from oil drilling, to arms manufacturing, and even politics. They had access to more wealth, manpower and weaponry than many small countries, and they used it. And they were sending in the big guns.

Commander Armel laughed when he thought on the look on his enemies faces when they see that the itsy bitsy mercenary company was bringing in tanks and helicopter gunships. Though it angered him that Fevali let himself get executed so easily, he knew it was a bad idea to walk into someones camp with only four guards and give them a ultimatum like that, the old man must have been going senile.

Enriched from their conquests, the Black Company has started to bring in M60 Patton type tanks, GTK boxer APC's. and Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter gunships. They arrived en masse at the dozens of hidden ports scattered across the continent, ready to eradicate all opposition.

Greetings Fyodor Durov,

The Army Republic of Prussia has been gathering supplies to help your nation in its time of need. It rare to find allies in governance and views against the communist menace. Considering recent events, stability in your nation is one of Prussia’s top priories. A communist terrorist group has used a WMD, bringing one of the worst fears of the twenty-first century to life. Prussia will dedicate all of its resources to bring this group to justice. We are also advising you that if Prussia is targeted by any nuclear weapons from the group, we will be forced retaliate in kind at the launch point. With the MAD theory, it sets a dangerous precedent if we do not.

Now on to what you likely wish to hear, what Prussia will support you with. The aircraft carrier Fredrick and its task force are enroute. Our navy will blockade the contested territory and enact a no-fly zone to deny the enemy outside resources. Two nearby wolfpacks of our U-boats will also support these acts while the fleet gets into position. We have also sent the 3rd Panzergrenadiers division with armor and engineering support. They will make sure the enemy is destroyed, and the engineers will perp areas for more supplies, by building airstrips, railroads, ect. After the communists are destroyed, the engineers will stay and improve infrastructure. Furthermore, we are advancing you a line of credit, we’ll discuss payment after things have claimed down.

-Signed Wolfgang von Köhler, Grand Marshal of the Army Republic of Prussia

(Ooc: We have elements of PMT and a little bit of Fnat in we have experimental railguns, anti-missile lasers, and griffins. We're leaving the railguns at home and assuming you don't want the griffins involved. Let us know if anything else in our factbooks is too advanced either by thread or telegram and it will not appear.)

We thank you for your support, although it is disconcerting that you would nuke us, we understand. We recommend that you land your land divisions at the port city Vadlich, where a division of the Bezlan-Fahvgorad Republican army will meet up with them. Communist and Mercenary guerrillas lurk in every corner. Armed with modern anti tank weaponry and mines, we would like to ensure that your forces remain unharmed until they can join up with a larger force.

We look forward to working with you

After the Hoosier armored battalion arrived in the port city of Vadlich, they received their orders to move to Fort Vlad to meet up with the larger force. They moved out immediately. At Fort Vlad, the major general spoke to the president of Bezlan-Fahvgorad, "Excuse me, Mr. President. Our armored battalion has landed and is on the move. It shouldn't be too long before they arrive. Once they do get here, we can move out on your word or hold position until you deem it wise to move."
