Alright, the moment this thread turns into a map claim thread is when the RP goes to shit

It's called getting the basics out of the way so each player knows where they stand. Like a committee meeting, get over the boring minutes and get on with the good stuff.

My issue is more some players are already number crunching.

When a map needs to be filled up, there's some parts of that idea of the RP being part of a proper, wider NS world that is lost.

Yep, expecially because there is people with overlapping map claim, located in an alternate universe with various difference (such as faster research which means more advanced tech or alternate history), located in a fictional landmass (such as me), or even don't have the same landmass as Earth, etc
