Imperial Emblem of the Grand Duchy of Chkalovsk
In what has been described as another stunning turn of events to add onto the chaos in which the events of this February has brought to the nation of Chkalovsk, the State Duma and Federation Council overwhelmingly voted in support of legalizing the Declaration of the Restoration of the Monarchy of Chkalovsk, an executive act pushed forward by former President, and now, Grand Duchess of Chkalovsk, Alena Vorshevska, which has also received a large amount of support from a significant proportion of the general population. The Union State of Chkalovsk has now become the Grand Duchy of Chkalovsk, and will be ruled through a Unitary Parliamentary Constitutional Monarchy system which bestows most of the power over the state to the Grand Duchess. The move comes after the success of the National Alliance in restoring the legitimate government of Chkalovsk after the events of the February Uprising left the National Bolshevik Front, a neo-Soviet alliance, in charge of the country. After 7 days of fighting, the National Alliance captured most territory lost to the Bolshevik's and executed most of its high command, bringing back law and order to Chkalovsk.
The Grand Duchess is now in the process of enforcing several constitutional amendments and reforms to the political institutes of the Chkalovskian government in order to fit in line with the aims of the newly restored monarchy, which includes the complete ban of the Communist Party of Chkalvosk, National Bolshevik Front, Social Workers Revolutionary Party, Peoples Labour Front and Comrades of the Socialist Revolution as well as most other left-wing parties, from the State Duma, soon to be Imperial Duma, and Federation Council, soon to be Imperial Council. Chkalovskian Special Forces have been working around the clock since February 10 to arrest key figures and members from the blacklisted parties, and during the February Uprising, the Chkalovskian Navy launched a cruise missile salvo at the personal residence of the Chairman of the United Leftist Alliance's personal residence whom was believed to be a supporter of the National Bolshevik Front. Unfortunately, no conspirators were killed.
Major protests have rocked the streets of Kalingrad, Gomel, Rastan, Krozny and Cinigrad due to the anger of some against the "blanket ban" of the left, resulting in heavy clashes between the Chkalovskian Police Force, Communist supporters and Nationalist supporters. The Chkalovskian National Guard has been mobilized and is preparing for an armed peace enforcement operation to combat civil unrest in most of the areas, but also to detain key figures whom are leading the civil unrest as well as the continuation of raids all across the country, aiming to capture those responsible for the February Uprising. The Imperial Council has issued a statement saying that "the ban may be reconsidered at a further point in time" and also went on the state that "the Grand Duchy is currently focusing on political reform and moving closer to friendly organizations such as SACTO." Several key figures from the United Left Alliance have openly voiced their suspicion that SACTO is either directly behind or has influenced the latest ongoing events, blaming them for 'sabotaging the peoples freedom and democracy' in Chkalovsk.
