The Allied States of Johnerica Passes Referendum: Leave FA

The Allied States of Johnerica is in chaos after a misguided referendum called by Prime Minister Marque. But not all Allied States are in agreement--Some are leaving against their will. Erica (the pivotal nation within the Allied States of Johnerica) voted for leaving by 53.4% to 46.6%. The Republic of Southern Huntsland voted to stay within the trading and military partnership that is the Froogle Alliance and is hostile with it's Johnerica sister state, Erica, who is dragging Southern Huntsland out of her beloved Froogle Alliance. Erica and Huntsland have been bitter friends for centuries and this could be the breaking point. Minor nations also in the Allied States, The Republic of Noryake and The Democratic Republic of Auroage have taken opposing sides as well. The Republic of Noryake voted for leaving along with Erica while The Democratic Republic of Auroage backed staying in the Froogle Alliance 62% to 38% and is hostile towards Erica along with Southern Huntsland.

How the votes broke down in Johnerica:


Erica is mostly blue while Southern Huntsland is mostly yellow. The other nations of the Allied States are island and periphery areas.

Alliance nations are reeling as they try to decide how to best serve their national interests while maintaining a common market, immigration policies, and military alliances. As civil war looms, Froogle Alliance nations must chose which political factions to back in accordance with their own national interests, values, and ideologies.

The Conservative and Labour parties have ideologies but are spilt between Leavers and Stayers; so, choosing one of these still leaves you with the decision to stay or go (which will determine the alliances you make).

The Republic of Xlus supports its Froogle Allies , Republic of Southern Huntsland and The Democratic Republic of Auroage, who are being forced to leave the FA.

The Democratic Republic of Auroage
Hostile with Erica for Frexit; Auroage wants to continue FA relations by negotiating for special status for the Auroage region. Auroage would like to protect the peace and political process, maintain EU funding, and Access the European single market and common travel area. As a nation with exports accounting for a significant portion of our GDP Xlus also supports the Froogle Alliances, because it encourages free trade.

However, the very devout nation of Xlus cannot directly support Aurages, because they support the degradation of marriage and morals, via pushing for LGBT couples marital status.
Southern Huntsland
The Republic of Southern Huntsland is in a difficult position. The withdrawal of the Allied States of Johnerica will shift FA borders, cutting right through Southern Huntsland. Fears that the rei-introduction of a border in Huntsland will reignited regional conflict is in the air. Thanks to a capable police force, and progressive social policies in education and welfare crime is virtually unknown to the great Republic of Xlus. We would not like to see a foolish referendum called by Erica adversely impact the fragile peace in Southern Huntsland; therefore Xlus supports Huntslands Labour party.

In addition, Huntslands apporoach to state funded welfare is particularly admirable. To improve the efficiency and quality of health care Huntsland is taking a robin hood approach by “implementing a new ‘mansion’ tax, [and] clamping down on tax avoidance by big corporations.” Also similar to Xlus, the Labour Party plans to increase the overall Education budget in Southern Huntsland.

Finally Xlus stands with Southern Huntsland, because while the Republic recognizes the economic and social benefits of FA it does not turn a blind eye to the budget strain on brought on by the FA’s lax stance on immigration. Huntsland and Xlus would like to see “stronger” borders that will welcome high-skilled migrants able to “earn” their entitlement to benefits, and deter the number of low-skilled migrants.

As sensible people who respect civil rights, we refuse to leave the Froogle alliance that provides many benefits and opens many borders for our people. Our citizens have been integrated throughout the Froogle nations and staying in the Alliance allows for easy travel throughout all nations in the alliance so family visits and vacationing is simple. Staying in the alliance is economically logical. Businesses in our land are now open to trade throughout the froogle nations. Tourism is up and GDP is on the rise. Any nation opposed to the Froogle Alliance is opposed to the good will of our nations people. If Erica forces Johnerica to leave the FA, Auroage will take back the Northern part of our land which is occupied by Southern Huntsland and unify the people. We will leave Johnerica and rejoin the union. Any nation opposed to our freedom and unification will face harsh repercussions. Military force or Diplomacy. Either way, Auroagean people will have one land and join the FA. The Conservative undesireables of Erica, Plaid Punks of Noryake, and Twittling Twats of JIP are far too pumped up in their knickers with self-righteous pride and nationalism that they fail to see the, objectively, the benefits for every country.
