Although I'm not good at keeping promises, I'll be aiming to get the actual IC thread up before the first of March. I mean it has to at some point; we've already filled up one OOC page! I don't know how many other applications I'll accept, but until I say anything else of it, I will still be accepting some newcomers.

To be honest I'm going to edit the application so players may enter as a neutral faction. I should've done this sooner because let's be honest: Who here really knows ANY of these four evils? Maybe the PASS, but that's about it!

I'm going to try and post the IC thread before March comes. Don't know if it will come tonight or tomorrow, but I'll try my best. Also, I have some bad news: Draco Bubo may not end up appearing in this roleplay like I thought. If he does, well...

The first post will explain why he won't be presenting the news anymore. It will actually highlight a lot of problems taking place within the Ponyi Galaxy. It's getting a lot worse over there than even I may realize. Unfortunately, it won't make the PASS look any prettier at face-value. The first post was going to explain, but I didn't see proper room to really fit in that drama. It is better to hold off and wait until later, maybe when everyone is entering the Ponyi galaxy and trying to read up on all the gossip within the world. We'll just have to see.

One more thing: Still on the fence about the whole author-avatar thing. Kind of seems like a huge ego thing, especially if the character gets too involved in the story, and especially if it ends up with them being out in the open. May work for Novaya, but Meridia isn't Novaya. Also I'm still not a fan of Borealis. Just saying. The author avatar should sort of be a shady behind-the-scenes puppet master. Frankly, I don't really see a place where such an avatar could have control over Meridia's politics. And no, I'm not reworking the Boss. I have special idea in mind for them. Won't give out any hints, since I want to keep this a surprise. Even if the Boss's true identity gets revealed, it won't expose my idea.

LAST EDIT: I am updating the rules because of something I forgot to add in from the beginning. The rule is this:

Is there something wrong here? I posted in this new rule because in previous games nobody would post their casualties and would frequently call for reinforcements. The end result is everything gets curb-stomped and thrown out of proportion. Also it just seems so unfair when it doesn't appear a single soldier is dying, and it gets ludicrous if the same player in charge of this military is calling for even more reinforcements despite their already large numbers. I don't like having to post this rule either, but unless there is good reasoning in the factbooks for why a player's units are so difficult to kill, I expect there to be casualties.

EDIT: On second thought, I'm going to backtrack on that last rule I made. The more I think of it, the more constricting this could actually get. I still expect people to not be godmodding, however. If someone keeps throwing their forces carelessly into battle, and there are no casualties, I'm calling them out. It better not persist, because I don't want this roleplay being ruined by someone too squeamish to lose lives, but also constantly charge head-first into danger.

The ones listed here are all somewhat notable (I'd prefer they stay alive, but that is not necessary) and if they are marked as 'exceptionally notable' then please refrain from killing them off as I do have a use for them later.

REASON FOR JOINING:
The threat of demons is not simply an isolated menace contained within the Ponyi Galaxy. It concerns all peoples and nations as the possibility of the demons spreading to other galaxies is very real and not to be neglected. The GESO and the Starsailors' Dominion, especially, are reasonably concerned and as it's vassal, Ella2 6 has been entrusted with assisting local authorities with halting the advance of the demons. As a show of the Governor's dedication to this cause, a special detachment of the Royal Starfleet has been formed and sent along with a few other fleets of the Ellian Starforce to the venture into the inky depths and support the local authorities of the Ponyi Galaxy.

The decentralised nature of Ella2 6 produces a fragmented response to pretty much any situation. Over time, however, there will usually be a dominating set of ideas which develop and the largest group usually ends up swinging parliament in a particular course of action. But for now, the official stance is neutral and the Starforce's only objective is to halt the Demons with a local authority. Which local authority that is is yet to be decided, however, the most likely candidate is the PASS due to the conservative majority of Parliment preferring to support a 'legitimate sovereign.'

The Royal Starfleet and its attachment of Royal Marines are very long and detailed because they aren't clone formations, they're actually Ellian formations. The Starforce classifies vessels above 100m in length to be rated vessels. These vessels get their own, official names. Vessels above 1000m are classified as capital vessels. The names of the Starforce's rated, but not capital vessels, (100m-1000m) are all long and pretentious and some may seem rude or flammy. Please understand that this is actually Starforce tradition and not an OOC jab at anyone.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
We'll likely not agree to fight against other factions as our initial goal is simply to fight the demons. However, as this RP progresses, Parliment and the Admiral of the Fleet himself, may decide to align themselves with the faction they're supporting and end up joining this civil war, if it can be called such, as well. Who knows? the Fleet might go rogue and stop listening to Parliment. We'll never know till we play it out!

Finally! After two years of posting nothing relevant I finally get a post up for this roleplay in-character! So quick re-cap: The White Order General Williams has spies about the Novayan military and knows they are within the galaxy. He also knows the "Boss" is up to something that could pose a problem for his operations. However, he cannot do anything about either of them and must continue with activity in the Halqa System.

By the way Novaya, I'm sorry about having those spies within the Novayan fleet, but if you want I can explain what is happening later in the roleplay, or right now. If you want, then you may proceed with a manhunt to root out any spies aboard. However, you must come up with some IC-reason for why the other Novayans would suspect traitors aboard. You may discuss details of this in telegrams if you wish.

Speaking of the Boss, I've finally introduced her. When I was searching for an appropriate image to symbolize her appearance, I was astonished to come across the image I selected for an example. Got to be honest: I'm stunned. It's the perfect selection for her! More about her backstory will be revealed later in the game.

I did not forget to address Eodor either in this: The Irenton Alliance has launched their successful assault on Domus with little to no casualties on their end, thanks to the PASS's terrible orbital defenses combined with that demonic shield technology from the previous roleplay. Sorry if those capital ships aren't suppose to come with those shields, but I thought it would be convenient to have those be mentioned from the other game. At least now they can go on a fair toe-to-toe battle with the Borgathian fleets, and there aren't that many of them around.

I would've added more into this post, but it was going long as it is and I didn't want to overwhelm the roleplay with too much at once, which is one of the reasons I wasn't posting: I couldn't decide what all would or should happen in the next post. I think I've got a pretty good handle on how things will unfold now. Depending on how the next few posts from you all play out, and I might introduce Lord Turner or the Golden Hand into the mix of things.

P.S.: I'm fully aware I'm violating one of my lessons from the previous game by allowing one of my characters aboard Novaya's Atlas. However, this time things will be a little different, since Lilith is technically an ally of Novaya. If for any reason that changes? Well, she can handle herself.

I'm starting to wonder if I should go ahead and create a Frazetta application without adding vehicles to this nation? I already have an idea for which faction they'll be joining.

This is also a bad idea so I won't do it (yet), but I have new ideas for new roleplays, and both are squad-focused like Charon's Curse. One of them is about Herbert Romero and of course that's inspired by John Carpenter's The Thing. The other is centered around the Shadow Space Syndicate and inspired by Welcome To The Game. The third is an expansion of Charon's Curse, which of course means a lot more demons, and more powerful versions of them.

I'm wondering if I should create a poll for anyone interested, or if this is too soon and we should get this one out of the way first?

And since ya want the G Man to appear, Ponyi, I'll have him appear after Queen Lilith and her armies and warships formed up with the Novayan Expeditionary Force.

You should explain the details of it either here and now if it's relevant in any way to my roleplay at all. Otherwise, it better not matter. As for the G-man, just have him appear whenever it's relevant. The only reason I want him in this roleplay is because you threw him in as a shitty deus-ex-machina for Charon's Curse. It annoys me when characters are introduced and disappearing on the fly like that. You don't have significant characters like that come and go within a single post. It's a lazy dick move, Novaya, and I don't appreciate your efforts to sidestep your problems in such a dishonorable fashion.

You still haven't explained why it's a smart idea to keep war criminals alive other than your insulting, bullshit excuse for "honor."

Well, since you asked, I might tell ya that the Novayans don't execute war criminals, for doing so would result in their code of honor stained. They preferred sentencing the war criminals to life imprisonment, which is always a common occurrence in the Nebula Galaxy. However, the Novayans are conflicted whether to sentence war criminals from different galaxies to life imprisonment or not.

Well, since you asked, I might tell ya that the Novayans don't execute war criminals, for doing so would result in their code of honor stained. First of all taking honor in keeping war criminals alive is one of the most insulting things you could ever do, not to mention being almost completely ironic. Now keeping them in life imprisonment is an excellent step-up and makes up for the "let's not kill them" aspect, but then it leads to a problem with my roleplays:

A war criminal is a war criminal; it doesn't matter which galaxy they are in. If the problem is because you don't know exactly what war crimes they've committed, wouldn't it be a good idea to ask the people who do know instead of going about things willy-nilly? Or fuck, if you don't know what to do with the war criminals, how about handing them over to the very people who want justice? Instead, however, you allowed Ryan Lancaster to not only live, but also walk away freely. Now yes, he and the others were going to inevitably escape regardless of your choices, but you could've at least TRIED doing the right thing instead of letting known mass murderers get away completely scot-free. Hell, Borealis himself had the opportunity to stop them and instead he just stands in a hallway not being remotely intimidating.

Normally this should all be considered a "dick move, (Causing egregious levels of problems for your friends to receive a small benefit for yourself.)" but you didn't even get anything out of this. Instead the Meridese got pissed off and forced your people to flee, which also backfired again when it made the rest of the galaxy realize just how dishonorable and cowardly the Novayans truly are. I don't know what you plan on doing with "Scarlet" and the G-man, but it better be big because allowing Ryan Lancaster to escape like that is going to harm the Meridese rebels BIG TIME!

So, I have some bad news regarding this roleplay: Aside from a number of problems and plot holes I've noticed with Lilith (She's still canon.), in general I've just lost all interest in this game. At first the concept of a war between the PASS, White Order, and Golden Hand all seemed great, but now I've just lost it. I'm thinking this game will be re-booted, but probably much later on. Maybe allow the White Order and Golden Hand to be more properly introduced first? During this time I'll also be making a few tweaks regarding "The Boss" and their role; they'll be a separate character from Lilith.

Sorry to anyone who feels inconvenienced by this. I held back on this decision because I knew those who were interested may be bummed out by this. I assure you, when I do get eventually get back to this game things will be worked out. Besides, I'm starting to think I do better with squad-focused roleplays as opposed to the large military warfare. At the very least it's more interesting to me since there is some character development involved. With the epic battles though, it's just a situation with each side flinging their soldiers at each other.

Dropping a tag for now. May drop an app later, although I am unlikely to deploy a sizeable force, due to the fact that the Soviet Star Union is dealing with its own apocalyptic nasties in the Phoenix Galaxy, although that may change in a few threads, at which point, who knows? It may be that they will bring their Infinite Conquest to this galaxy at some point in the future, but in the foreseeable future they are unlikely to send anything more than one or two of these on a scouting mission.
