Excellent post, Terra, and don't worry; I had so much writer's block with a couple of posts in the past.

Onto the post itself, I gather that the Zei'Am aren't the most diplomatic of folks like... At all...

Unfortunately, we live in an age where having a casus belli for declaring war is favourable, so as much as the King-Emperor may want to glass the absolute hell out of their worlds, I don't think that being insulted is a good enough reason. Let's hope that we end up getting a better reason than that.

On the bright side, at least now the FED can rightfully classify the Zei'Am as an ally of the Gish (and we have evidence to prove it too! XD ) and the intergalactic community would likely agree with us in this case. So... Human rights wise, we're on moral high ground, which is always favourable.

As of now, we'll just be super-wary around the Zei'Am. I do believe the Federation's pride is hurt and so you can expect some uh... Secret operatives deployed to force their hand into shooting us first so we have sufficient cause to try and wipe them from the face of the galaxy try and pacify the situation.

I'll have a post up ASAP.

I DID use a fairly malevolent description earlier. But yeah, the Zei'Ari are a violent race. As for the Child-Eating thing, it's not just a demonizing accusation. I actually indexed the Velutarians in the Free Use Index, where I did mention in more detail their culture.

As for the Zei'Am and having to dance around them, the Empire took one of their industrial complex worlds in 3 days and glassed their home-world most populous cities. The point is, the Zei'Ari, militarily speaking, are reeling and would likely be unable to mount an effective counterattack as it's already sandwiched by large, hostile neighbors. It's actually highly likely that if the High King isn't killed off, he will lead a government in exile after taking his fleets and joining the Gish. Remember, he doesn't care how bad they are so long as it's directed at the Terran Empire or Velutarian Empire.

In a sense, we have Khornate and Tzeenchian styled troops, but we hate demons. Chaos hating demons(Malal)... But we have the zealotry of the Imperium, and we worship Cthulhu. What do you say?

Terra, my next post contains a sabotage effort meant to kick-start the war with the Zei'Am. I'm not sure if you wanted a chance to post a Zei'Am response to the actions, so I'm going to ask you now you wanted this done.

I'm also going to have to ask for clearance to control the Zei'Am that I'm sabotaging because that would dictate how far into the operation I write before you wanted to intervene. I'll send you a copy of that section of the post, if you wanted to see what I'm doing so we could best work out how this one would turn out.

Hey Terran, I have an idea that might propel the story further and get more interaction. So Capitan Julius said that he NEF and the Space Jerks are bordering, why not have a small force of their navy jump into a system I control and have them duke it out. After the NEF has been inching to test some new armor. I should be able to get a post up soon or at the lastest Sunday.

Sorry for really no activity I have been busy with other RPs and life, between my job, training for military/police life I have been busy. I have the outline of my post just need to sit down and type it out.

So the next post I do will be largely in reaction to what you guys post, but overall, the conflict with the Zei'Ari will likely be ended very soon, followed by a devotion of resources to the Velutarian front.
This will also cause the Gish conflict to escalate as Zei'Ari loyalists will bolster their ranks, allowing for actual combat and raids to take place against the JTF.
Velutaria has had some time to muster a force, though, and would be able to stall the Terran Empire at the bordering systems without international interference.
