Treaty of Djibouti
Official Proclomation from the 13th Directorate of the Republic of Kohlneas
Completion of CASE WHITE, Cessation of Hostilities, and Transfer of Territory
Fellow citizens,
We are pleased to announce that the Kohlneasian Defense Forces have been successful in the persecution of CASE WHITE. We have lost nearly 6,000 men in the effort and numerous pieces of materiel, but we are victorious.
The rogue director Haptou Monfraib has been captured. His acting General has surrendered, and the remaining 89,000 colonial soldiers and 35,000 east-asian mercenaries under their employ have been taken into custody along with their stolen pieces of equipment. Djibouti and Bosaso have been liberated, if wholly destroyed in the process. Addis Ababa, the largest city in the Ajuran Sultanate, unfortunately suffered a catastrophic bombardment. It too has been reduced to a shadow of its former glory. The XII Armored, II Mechanized, X Mountain, and XVI Marines are thanked for their service. They have been recalled, and we wish them a safe journey home.
The Ajuran ruling family has not been located, though we believe they will resurface and prove equitable to the task of rebuilding and stabilizing their territory.
To that end, the Directorate has come to the following conclusion:
The loyal citizens of Kenya and Tanzaniahave proven through this trying time (and through the revocation of their civil rights) that they are indeed Kohlneasians. The natives of Uganda, annexed unlawfully by Monfraib, have no relation to our mother country. Therefore, the Directorate, along with leading members from VEDRUPOL, have agreed to transfer this territory to the Ajuran Sultanate. As of today, Ajuran will assume full control of Uganda. The Directorate also feels responsible for the devastation brought to Djibouti, Bosaso, and Somalia. The citizens of these fair provinces cry out for a true leader, and so it is proclaimed that the Republic of Kohlneas shall assume full control of these provinces. The whole of greater Somalia and Djibouti will be transferred into Kohlneasian sovereignty.
The Thirteenth Directorate is proud to say, that on the 100th Anniversary of our founding, Kohlneas finally controls the Gulf of Aden, hereafter to be known internationally as the Kohlneasian Gulf.
Immediately following this proclamation, resettling efforts of the nearly 200,000 displaced Kohlneasians is to begin, with $50 billion Kohlneasian marks dedicated to the efforts of building a new, modern city atop the ashes of a crumbled, backwards memory. The rogue colonial soldiers have been processed via court martial and will face a $3.50 fine, as well as lifetime suspension of voting rights and privileges. They will serve out the remainder of their lives in dutiful service to the republic. The east-asian mercenaries will remain under employ, albeit closely supervised. The collection of these 124,000 personnel along with 25,000 personnel from the Reserve ad-Dahna Group will remain in Djibouti, Bosaso, and Mogadishu to oversee integration into the republic and provide aid and security.
We believe the execution of Haptou Monfraib will come swiftly from Walgreens who has taken possession of him. Monfraib's former office of Director of Colonial Affairs has been dissolved. Citizens of Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, and Djibouti will be relegated back to their previous standing of "Colonial Citizens", unable to vote or participate in the general government, but able to serve the Republic in the bureaucracy and military. Martial law is to be lifted from these territories. Regular commerce, re-education and renovation is to continue at full speed.
This is a great day for the Directorate, this is a great day for the Republic, and it is a great day for the citizens of Kohlneas.
Forever Yours Faithfully,
General Mehmed Al Rabin, Director of Defense
Khara Ghinesh, Director of State
Abraham Weiss, Director of Commerce
Dr. Zaida O'srani, People's Director
Salim Joubran, Director of Law
