Official Statement from the Thirteenth Directorate of the Republic of Kohlneas
Condemning the recent attacks in Calwain, Development of Paradise Island

The Republic of Kohlneas officially condemns the group responsible for the terrorist attack in Calwain. We've had experience dealing with similar events and pledge our complete support in hunting down those responsible and bringing them to swift justice. To that extent, the Thirteenth Directorate has ordered the Kohlneasian Intelligence Service to lend any and all support Calwain might require.

We mourn those lost in the attacks and send our condolences to the families.

The Thirteenth Directorate has also laid claim to the small island 300 miles south of Jakarta. The island is to be converted into a tourist destination for South East Asian tourists seeking Arabian comfort and hospitality, but unable to travel outside their region. The 50 mile complex will include numerous hotels, restaurants, entertainment, theaters, private and public beaches, and a golf course. Dubbed "The Kohlneasian Village", the 13th Directorate has established an initial construction and development fund of $100,000,000. Top-level suites in the planned towers will be available for purchase as condos, with six being gifted to our ally McFreedomstan for use by their Board of Directors.

TRAGEDY IN CONCELA

18th March, 2021

This morning at 2:20 am seven heavily armed gunmen began shooting at right-wing activists and RM officers outside of the town hall in the Southern town of Concela. At first, several RM officers were sent to subdue the gunmen, but when 4 officers were killed and another 7 wounded, the RM began using lethal force. The bloody street war would last until 7:26, when members of the Black Dragons special forces unit surrounded and killed all seven gunmen.

The death toll has been confirmed to be: 16 civillians, 20 RM officers and 1 Black Dragons member.
Jack Shoun, the mayor of Concela has stated the following: "This is a tragedy! Now you see what the government will do to our country with such insane policies! We must ban any and all foreigners from entering our country! Because not only were the terrorists of varying nationalities, they were armed with state of the art NGU weaponry! Tell me, how do we know these aren't just terrorists but also soldiers sent from the NGU to destroy our country! I believe that the NGU is at fault! We must avenge the victims of this foreign attack!"

With this statement, many have begun protesting against the lifting of laws and restrictions on foreigners.
In response to mayor Shoun's statement, minister of civil affairs Alecia Bresli has said the following: "Yes, this is a tragedy and yes, the attackers were foreign. But banning ALL foreigners is a bit insane, don't you think? I recommend launching an investigation on the origins and purpose of this attack. Maybe we won't be the first, maybe they're connected to the Calwain attacks? We wish to stop them, yes, but we also wish to push Eloria into the global community. We WILL find these murderers and they WILL be brought to justice."

The one thing that both Mrs. Bresli and Mr. Shoun both agree on is that these aggressors need to be stopped. But how long will it take? And will they be stopped before another attack occurs? Only time will tell.

Earlier yesterday a terrorist attack was performed in Calwain leaving many dead or wounded. The government has condemned these attacks and sent out their condolences to Calwain and its people. Prime Minister Rika Iyka stated, "What happened in Calwain is a tragedy that no people should have to bear. The government of Yurikiya is fully committed to helping Calwain in these current times." The Vesa and trading agreement made with Calwain earlier is not to be effected and is still planned to be put into effect at its original date. However, a small military group was deployed to southern Yurikiya near the bridges that connect Volkshod and Yurikiya, along with several coast guard craft. The government has stated that there is no need for alarm as they have only been sent to respond to any possible threat that may come across the bridge. Once more, Prime Minister Rika was cited saying, "Our troops are mearly for defensive purpose at this time. We have no plans on harming Volkshod or its people. Though, should Calwain need any form of help, militarily or otherwise, Yurikiya is more than willing to support Calwain in capturing or defeating any threats that should threaten Volkshod or its citizens."

Despite the terrorist attack on Calwain, people have taken to the streets for support of the Vesa Deal that was reached with Calwain and hundreds of applications have already been filled out, with many more expected to come. One citizen gave this reason as to why she is thankful, "It's been so long since I've properly been able to go see my birthplace. I've told my children about it numerous times, but showing says more than a thousand words. I'll even be able to introduce my kids to their grandfather that they've never met." The public response is overwhelmingly high at this time.

Kohlneas, as the creator and principle founder of the AITC is pleased to welcome the Federation of Eloria into the tourism compact. Further talks are in motion with the Free States of Miltonia which has expressed interest in joining. If Miltonia accepts the invitation into the compact, the AITC will have a standing value of $66.5 billion for the involved nations.

Following a closed-door meeting the 13th Directorate, Director of Commerce Abraham Weiss has agreed to raise the KDF's budget to 13% of its GDP. Development of PROJECT HEBREW HAMMER has also been halted until further notice, or until relations between Kohlneas and the Jewish monarch thaws. All research files, progress reports, and operational goals have been seized by Kohlneasian scientists and personnel. We have also called up the reserves and are seeking to recruit 150,000 new reserves.

Although Noxtremian relations with the NGU have been unstable at best, we applaud their condemnation and their steps taken to prevent Kohlnesian expansion, and we will follow suit along with numerous other nations (such as the Jerusalemite Nation). Kohlneas has no distinct historical, cultural, or political ties to Puerto Rico, and their expansion is purely aggressive. The actions taken by the government if Kohlneas have been increasingly aggressive, and are now being destructive to peace and stability, across a number of hemispheres. Noxtrem will not stand for this, the Bundestag is considering sanctions. We encourage other nations to condemn these aggressive actions.

Military Buildup on Kohlneasian Border
Due to tensions in the area, King Isaiah ordered 200,000 troops to be placed along the Kohlneasian border, along with tanks, artillery, and aircraft. He emphasized that he wished that this didn't need to happen, but that the government of Kohlneas left us no choice.

Also, military spending was increased to 12.5% and a new conscription drive was started with the intent of recruiting 175,000 new troops into the Jerusalemite Military. Naval excesses are also commencing around the northern half of the New Israel colony.

PROJECT HEBREW HAMMER
Despite Kohlneasian scientists ceasing data from the HEBREW HAMMER project, the data had already been backed up to a secure Jerusalemite government database. While Kohlneas ceased work on that project, Jerusalemite scientists will be using data from it to begin the LIBERATOR project, which is assumed to be more or less the same thing.

Exit from Arabic Peninsula Cooperation Pact

The Jerusalemites have exited the Arabic Peninsula Cooperation Pact due to tensions with Kohlneas. Also, the Jerusalemites have exited the AITC. King Isaiah also issued a travel ban with Kohlneas.

Due to high public support for the move, King Isaiah has announced that the Jerusalemites will be joining the Kaiserbund Pact, leaving the SCO. While the SCO has been beneficial for the Jerusalemites, King Isaiah feels like the Kaiserbund will help ensure specific monarchist values and ensure trade deals between us and other member nations.

Interestingly, this comes around the same time as the reports of Yosef Yonatan being shot at the APSIA headquarters. This sure is a busy time for our nation. More updates on the situation will be made periodically.

After under a year, the world is a completely different place. The Coalition was disbanded, new factions sprouted up, and the Nationalist Gold Union was sent home from Europe and faced an internal revolution.
