Mobiyuz, Syuzann, Lyudmilla, and Timur walked out across the grounds of the Imperial Palace. Lyudmilla was just 6 years old, Timur 3. It was this time of their lives that Mobiyuz wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. With the sun out, the chill in the air was still hanging around a bit, but was pleasant enough to go for a picnic. Timur smiled up at his father as they walked. "Papa, where are we going?"
"On a picnic, little one."
"What's a picnic?"
"We're going to have lunch out in the meadow."
"That sounds fun! But my legs are tired..."
Mobiyuz chuckled and picked up his son, carrying him in one arm. "I have an idea." He stopped and pulled a whistle out of his pocket, giving a short blast on it. After a minute, a large tiger came bounding up to the family, bringing a smile out of his son.
"Tiger!"
"Yes, Oksanka just loves when I call her." He reached into the basket he had been carrying the meat in, and gave a bit of it to the tiger, who ate it happily. Mobiyuz set Timur on her back, and walked out along to the spot where his family had started setting up for the picnic. He sat down with his son and the tiger, opening the basket that the bread had been in to find a small, orange-red animal nestled in with the food. "Haku!" It woke up and started chittering. "When did you get in there?"
Getting no response other than chittering, he picked him up and set him down by Oksanka, who quickly took to licking his ears. With the animals content, the four Anthros began setting the food out for their lunch. They were halfway through their sandwiches before a Shadow Draconid woman walked down to them. "Excuse me, sir."
"Oh, hello Miss Pauling. What do you need?"
"You have a letter from King Marko of Kookahmunga."
Mobiyuz sighed. "Even when I'm not working I have to work." He opened the letter and read through it, before handing it back to his chamberlain. "Tell him he's welcome to come out to Frostspark City for his meeting, and that I would be happy to meet with him."
"Yes, sir. Is that all?"
"Yes, Miss Pauling. You may return to your duties." The woman left, and Mobiyuz returned to his family and his animals.
