It depends on the Government and who the rebels are and who they fight for in a Communist country we'd gladly fund anti-Communist rebels but in a right autocracy/oligarchy like our own who is at war with Communist rebels we'd gladly fund the government.

But they were utterly crushed by the power of money now the 'Incorporated States' of Omnitech Systems is slowly transforming into a Corporative Oligarchy. My nation went through a Civil War. Twice. Four times, actually. The one in 1919 brought in the Anarchy (Animusania), the second in 1957 brought the People's Republic of Animusania, the third in 1986, the Environmental Republic of Galeion, and the fourth last October, brought the New Republic of Galeion. My nation's quite turbulent, and it's full of Indian, Kazakhstani nationalists, as well as pro-socialist demonstrators, which ultimately led to the ERG's downfall. Even right now, the New Republic is on the brink of a civil war, as the nation's largest state, Destvlich, threatens to secede because of the new president's plan to openly heal relations with a nation they've long hated in the past. So I dunno, I might as well even start a thread to forward this possibility.

Well, i never have civil wars, because i destroy any insurgency in it's roots. I try to be peaceful and try to make a compromise without civil war, but if civil war or insurgency breaks out, i will had no choice but to brutally suppress rebellion.

Take me for example... My nation went through a civil war just a few weeks before Z-Day, between Government loyalists and Nazi rebels. I just chose to fight them to the end, and eventually, they surrendered.

We had one a few years ago. The filthy Mud Ponies, dissatisfied with their natural position at the bottom of Equestrian society, started a massive Earth Pony revolt. It ended badly. For them. The magic and power of the Unicorns and Pegasi was easily enough to crush them completely.

No civil war right now, although I'm almost considering one, between the lowlands of Shanowinn, and the highlands, which are fairly different from each other based on ethnicity, culture, and so forth. In a conflict between these two regions, the government/lowlands/Royal Owinn Army would certainly have a tougher time of it, as it's not intended for much mountain warfare. That's what the 42nd Owinnorse Highland Regiment is meant for, but they could feasibly join the highland rebellion, in which case that poses a significant threat to the ROA. I guess for the purposes of NS and not having to create a new nation, the highlands wouldn't become completely separate, but perhaps it'd be granted more autonomy as part of a treaty once the ROA is unable to get some quick decisive outcomes.


Otherwise, Shanowinn's last civil war was the Great Unification of 1898. It was fought from 1896-1898. The Army of the Unification (good guys) defeated the draconic, persecuting United Nationalists (bad guys).

Nordengrund was in a civil war in the distant past, but it isn't recognizable to modern nation.

The War of Twins was a conflict between two princes who were twins. They both agreed to share the throne when they succeeded their father, the king at the time. This was during the Protestant Reformation, so one of the brothers became a Lutheran while the other remained a Roman Catholic.

The kingdom was religiously divided and the brothers believed they had a duty to suppress heresy from taking over the kingdom. They disowned each other and went to war. The Lutherans won and Nordengrund has a Lutheran majority to this day.

We had a civil war that started in 1953. Southside, Hegmon, and Freena Yon, alongside parts of Yanot and Yontan Yons declared their independence from Gandoor under the grounds that the reign of Alexei Petrikov, who served as Prime Minister from 1940 until 1951 and ruled Gandoor as a dictator, proved that Gandoor's constitution was too weak to prevent a dictator and declared themselves the Gandoorese People's Republic.

Gandoor's constitution does permit our administrative divisions to secede, but these divisions did not follow constitutional procedure and were ordered to put down their arms and surrender to Gandoorese authorities, which soon erupted into war between the two Gandoor's.

While the Democratic Republic of Gandoor would quickly gain an advantage over the People's Republic, the GPR wouldn't surrender until 1956, following their defeat at the Battle of Peninsular. At the time of the Battle of Peninsular, the GPR only controlled 22% of the territory they controlled in 1953.

A final treaty ending the war would be signed in 1957 and the Gandoorese People's Republic (referred to in the treaty as 'the commanding structure of the yons and other administrative divisions in rebellion', as the DRG never recognized the GPR as an independent nation) was formally dissolved and all territories that had been in rebellion were fully restored as part of Gandoor.

My nation went through a civil war in 1923, It was a brutal war that cost many lives. It was caused by an overreaching federal government that cracked down on the rights of the people, The war lasted until 1926. The Freedom Militia invaded the capital and the feds surrendered. The great conference in 1927 decided that the new nation of DoyleNation was to be a confederacy. To give power to the individual states and let them make their own decisions. That's why my nation has such a conservative outlook, That war was caused by a liberal overreaching government, Some people still bicker about it til this day.

The last civil war we had was in the 1650s and was known as The War of the Daughters because the rebels (who won it) were furious with Queen Yocasta the First for kidnapping and murdering their daughters on a regular basis.

No civil wars, but Venadia has an ongoing insurgency in one of its constituent states, that of Undreshistan. Outside of Undreshistan, there is some terrorist activity in Boldiria (also sees some spillover from the Undreshi insurgency on its border), Ilveria, all White Venadian states (Liga, Oskov, Kamrod and Drast) and Proylopol. With the exception of Proylopol, this is largely secessionist in nature.

The insurgency in Undreshistan has been ongoing since the annexation of the Emirate of Undreshistan in 1742, although the modern conflict only picked up in the 1940s in the wake of the Second Ardanian Great War. The Venadian military has a permanent force in all major Undreshi cities and in insurgent hotspots in the countryside. The insurgents are largely united in two groups, the islamist Emirate of Undreshistan and the far-left Undreshi Red Army.

We are currently in a civil war to obtain recognition from America. There has been a ceasefire agreement in place for 5 years now, but the peace could be broken at any point

The Angolan-Mozambican Revolt of 1983 (The Africans were shocked in 1980 by the support of Spain to the Apartheid South Africa and to Rhodesia, so they revolted. 95% of the population of these states died, and massive immigration from the Peninsula had been going on in order to restore the population numbers)

Though not currently in a civil war, The Republic of Adamenia's most recent civil war ended a few months ago. The war was initiated as an attempt to overthrow the monarchy that reigned in the nation for centuries. The rebels were led by PM William Johnson. Luckily, the monarchy was soon abolished as the nation gained the status as a republic. In turn, the kingdom of Khezvani was annexed into Adamenia.

Not so Much a full on civil war. More a campaign against a small group of radical separatists terrorists in the South. They are part of the Esoteric Hitlerist, Race Supremacist Tengrist Cult of Kö Tengri. Believing Muslims and Tengrists who do not subscribe to their belief system should be killed and that the "mongrel race" that has overtaken the Jochizyd Republic, in their eyes should be purified once the state of Tariät in Southern Jochistan, the state they see as housing the "purest" Jochizyd, is separate from the Republic

Our country was locked in a civil war until the 1940's when multiple Nationalist factions united and took supplies from America and Germany against the Communists. The Chinese Soviet Republic's forces were mass executed and others tortured to death, Mao the leader of the insurgency was taken on tour to major cities like Kowloon, Beijing, Shanghai etc, to be humiliated and paraded in the streets and publicly flogged in each city's center. Between cities in transportation he was harassed and tormented upon his final humiliation and beating in Beijing he shot to death multiple times by a high ranking Army officer with a Luger.

Though, no longer in a Civil War the latest Civil War we had was against a group of Islamic rebels who were being supplied by America, Iran and ISIS as their allies. America was funding them to overthrow our regime and install a Republic of sorts, and Iran wanted to have their Western portion of their country covered by an Islamic theocracy country like themselves. Over 5,000 Rebels were killed during the battles and 10,000 executed after their defeat.

Yurantsk People's Republic is one out of the two countries currently enganging in a civil war that was created from a formerly united state.The other one is the Andrian Dictatorship.These two nations used to be united under the same flag but never totally united by nationality or politics since the Andrian aggression was intense and the Andrian Nationalist Party gained enough popularity to cause a schism.

I wouldn't exactly call it a civil war, but the government has been fighting the terrorist group Golden Blossom recently with minimal success
