Every year, the world edged towards a global conflict. Each nation had grown intolerant of its neighbors; as they were worried about potential invasions. Oskajan was specifically troubled around the Empire of Empesth, as almost all European nations were. And to the very north of Italy, stood the fear-mongering Austro-Hungarian Empire, which has very influential power in worldwide politics.

Empesth was referred to as the grizzly bear of Europe; large, dangerous, and violent. Just over a hundred years ago, Empesth had seized the lands of Romania, Ukraine, Moldova, and Belarus. This was frightening for all of Europe, surely not one nation wanted to be annexed by the grizzly bear.

The Austro-Hungarian Empire was termed as the hawk of Europe, vigilant, formidable, and quick to strike. During the Medieval Ages of Europe, Oskajan and Austria-Hungary had gotten into a dispute over land. Though Oskajan was superior numerically, Austria-Hungary managed to destroy Oskajan, and leave it in a ruined state. Thus began the rumored strength and power of Austria and Hungary.

Currently, sides are forming around the globe, as the world industrializes. Disputes of trade, land, and political matters have made the leaders of Europe anxious to destroy one another. For example, Oskajan claims that west Austria belongs to their Empire, Austria-Hungary ignores this claim. This causes Oskajan's king to write an ultimatum to the leader of their neighbor. It demands that western Austria be handed over within two days, or trade with Austria-Hungary shall cease.

The world is watching as this conflict unfolds. Only time will tell who will survive; and who will not.

With the world becoming a powder keg the Redosian Sultinate was one of the nation's that could possibly light the fuse, the nation was surrounded by European colonies and it's only true ally was the Caliphate to the east, the nation was preparing for a war with the British Empire, they have been positioning their Zeppelin to scout the enemies location but keeping it as far from the border as possible they may not have a good look of the enemy positions but they were getting something. And that work on a possible more powerful armored car was being done and that any possible prototypes would be done by the end of 1914.

The Sultan has declared he was making the hajj and was to travel to Mecca for the first time to complete his religious goal, he was to leave by horse with two of the three local Sultans to also travel to Mecca, he hopes to get there peacefully and start his path to become more religious.

With the rise of Empesth, The Imperial Masonic Dominion faced two large and powerful empires. In The north the huge colossus that was Empesth bordered the dominion, and in the south the sultanate of Tripolitania. The dominions plan was to stay neutral as long as it could if a war broke out. It would use this time to build up its forces, gain and stockpile resources and weapons, and sell excess resources to gain an easy source of money. Threat in the north however was far greater than the threat in the south. The dominion saw Empesth as a potential ally and protector in the event that Austria-Hungary planned to invade. On the contrary it saw Austria-Hungary as a potential ally against the huge beast that was Empesth.

The Imperial Masonic Dominion however, controlled the dardanelles and the Aegian Sea this meant that if they were mined and blockaded the Empesthi navy would be trapped in the Black Sea. This however was not done as there was no reason to fight Empesth, King Thomas IV instead ordered that a non-aggression pact be made with both Empesth and Austria-Hungary. His fears were else where. His fears were to the south east, the colonies of Syria, Turkey, Cyprus and Malta were under the gaze of the sultanate, though they were technologically inferior, their calls for Jihad would resonate with the Muslim minotries in the colonies and even the mainland whom where under the chastisement of Protestants and Orthodox Christians. The King didn't trust them and they didn't trust him.

There was a very large cultural divide between Muslims and Christians in the empire. King Thomas didn't want the sultanate to exploit this weakness, he had to act fast. He began to enforce the conscription all unmarried men from the age of 16. He would reinforce his colonies once he had assembled a large enough army to send so that any uprisings could be crushed. In past years there had been uprisings, such as the one in 1911 were the port of Damascus had been the centre of a huge muslim uprising. The Imperial navy along with the army put down the uprisings with extreme brutality, King Thomas did not want this to happen again. While the expeditionary forces were being built up to police the colonies the navy would be stationed there.

The formation of this expeditionary force was formed as a result of the rising global tensions as well as this the regular army stationed in the homeland was put on high alert as global tensions continued to rise.

With all the rising tension rising tensions across the globe, king Dmitri Prayosivich planned to keep Empesth away from warfare as long as he could. The king also gave the order to close country's borders and not allow any foreign citizens into the country unless they have permission. Due to economical problems, the Empesthi navy could only order construction of two pre-dreadnoughts for the Empesthi navy along with 4 destroyers, presumably for the Black Sea or the Baltic Fleet as there is no need for a massive navy force in the Far East. For the land and air forces, with the invention of armoured vehicles and aircraft the face of warfare is forever changed. The military is conscripting more soldiers and ordered production of 5 Armstrong-Withworth 1913 armoured vehicles along with 2 fighter biplanes.

After hearing about the Imperial Masonic dominion's offer of a non-aggression pact, Empesth's small neighbour to the south, king went to his room, sat down his chair and started writing a telegram, response to the Imperial Masonic Dominion's offer.

It's 14th Chairman, so elected by the virtue of a Westminster parliamentary system, was Jesse Dickson, a staunch supporter of a grand federation of the Hayesalian states that had so many years ago been warring with each other. He was being successful in what was now his forth year in the office, building on the work of his predecessors who had created a free travel and trade region, a united Defence Force, telecommunications and standardisation bodies for the Member States.

The grand Council Building, in his own home city of Revana, was growing ever more. It stood at the storefront, looking over a strong river where fishermen set out to travel the many seas of this archipelagic nation, drawing great hauls. The Red Ensign of the Union flew under the maritime flags of the Member State, in what was a truly encouraging sight to see.

This meeting on the balcony of the Chairman's Residence, located in the shadows of the historic Arbeiter's Hall, oversaw tropical parks and brought a breeze, the sounds of people in the streets mixing among motor cars and yammering of business. The two men, sat on balcony chairs behind the balcony's fence, shared two glasses of mixed spirits as the late afternoon began to settle across the Hayesalian Union capital. The second man was Dominic Trinidad, the Chairman's Minister of Defence, a Watrovan man with a history of service in his own country and great respect for beginning to resolve a berth of issues of that land in his time in politics there.

On their mind was an expedition, the advice sent to them by telegrams from the Union's Delegation in a variety of foreign imperial states. The network of diplomatic posts greatly exceeded most others, and as such information flowed quickly into the Union's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Funny business, thereabouts, wouldn't you say?" proclaimed Trinidad, stirring his drink and kicking out his feet as they considered the growing imperialistic chaos overseas.

"Quite, chap." came Dickson, remaining steadfast in sitting up. "We've heard of how they want to handle the matter. They're trying to barter trade from the jaws of war, many of them. Dollar diplomacy, of sorts."

"Yes, yes indeed. I don't see how it involves us, Chairman, if that is why you've called me up to your balcony?"

"Well, Dominic, strictly speaking it does not. You're obviously aware that our Union Defence Forces are becoming more and more rapidly developed in these tricky times, I'm sure?"

"Well, they need to cut their teeth. We have a chance to face off against imperialism, which god only knows how many of those bloody Union Members of Council want us to get into, and show what sort of damage it can cause. It's like they've all bloody well forgotten the Civil War, the incidents, and such."

"So what would you have us do?"

The two men went over documents, considering the value of an Expeditionary Force of the Hayesalian Union Army and Navy, something in the region of 20,000 men, to set sail for these faraway lands to garner combat experience, trade knowledge, intelligence and perhaps, opportunities for the economic development of a growing Union influence on global affairs. While the Council would need to decide it for certain, the Chairman knew he'd have the votes.

If war was to break out, his division of soldiers and a fleet of transports plus escorts would be able to set foot for anti-imperialist combat in the space of only some weeks. Everything happened so fast in this lightning era, it seemed.

After finally finishing the preparations of gathering food and water the group set out of Tunis towards the east, they will travel to Mecca to complete one of the five pillars of Islam and they also had their passports just in case the caliphate needs them to let them through, but he knew they will probably let him pass to continue the hajj.

With the tensions at ease from the British Empire with them accepting the nonaggression pact they turned their forces to more pressing matters, they moved half of the forces that were on the British colonial front (5,000 at first now 2,500) towards guarding other important areas and sent the zeppelin back to the capital, meanwhile the colonial guard of 5,000 continues to guard the colonies, they set up local autonomous governments so that they can deal with everything in the colonies and people were free to practice their religion inside their homes and only Muslim mosques were allowed to be opened, but with tensions still high from many other countries Redosian conscripted 5,000 citizens and sent them to basic training this draining the country entirely of all the stocked modern rifles that had, they were producing more just not fast enough and they hoped that if war does come they can at least have the new soldiers to have the same level expierence as the others in the army.

The Redosian navy was in shambles with only 5 destroyers to fly under its flag, the steward thought it would be okay if he would order a ship from another nation.

He watched as the destroyer tank blue prints were shown to the aweing eyes of the public, they would chatter about its armour or its weapons.

Most people understood why the king ordered this to happen every year, it was because the people had just recovered from the war of Latvia and Lithuania that they thought the military was not capable for a war, let alone a great one, and they new the empire was endangered as troops were being recruited on a daily basis. The army rose from 1,000 to 13,000 in a single day!

[The Imperial Austro-Hungarian Empire]

In the Cold lands that were the Southern Borders of Austria Hungary, the dark night was light up with lights coming from the West. Huge Armored Trains gathered on the Railroads, eventually stopping to a hault, creating screeching noises in the snowy dark air. Workers, engineers, and soldiers jumped out of the trains with shovels and other digging instruments. The creation of yet another trench system was underway. The Imperial Flag waved in the air as the sounds of pickaxes and shovling dirt could be heard all the way until dawn. The Soft Snow was cracking under the shovels, and timber was brought in and filled the sides of the Trench. Liquid Concrete was brought in, and was poured into the Trench's sides. Artillery hooked onto Armored Jeeps were set in place, and heavy cannons were being settled into place.

Meanwhile at the Docks, Desteoyers were deployed into the Adairdic sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The Maritime humid air was filled with smoke and smog, as Austrian Hungarian ships began to appear on the horizon. The Ships lined up into the sea, stretching massive, thick lines of warships. Underneath the water U-boats zoomed through the ocean, and Albatros class warplanes raced into the sky.

Following Greater Slavic Union's declaration of war against the Estonian Empire, the Kingdom of Empesth ordered 75,000 Empesthi troops to march Estonia. This was a great chance for the Kingdom of Empesth to keep it's fortress, ex capital and one of the most populous, important and major cities, St. Petersburg. In order to prevent foreign intervention, he ordered a sea blockade of 4 destroyers, 1 armored cruiser, 10 torpedo boats and 2 light cruisers around the Baltic Sea.

A number of 75mm and 40mm - 45mm artilleries are also being deployed to be used against enemy troops. King Dmitri Prayosivich went into his room and wrote & sent the following telegram to the Estonian Empire.

As you're probably aware, the Greater Slavic Union and the Kingdom of Empesth launched a massive invasion against your nation. This was my decision, to prevent foreign troops from landing on the Estonian Empire, to protect the major Empesthi city St. Petersburg and to protect the slavs and all the slavic people living in the Baltic region. In order to prevent death of millions of people, I kindly request you to surrender. After the war, we will still let you govern the region, your independence will not be taken away, it will just be under our crown and protection, but St. Petersburg will also be secured and the Slavic people will be safe. The Caliphate, only formed recently after the Napoleonic Wars ended. It was prospering, in fact, after the declaration of Khalifa, the state of the entire Muslim world, Sunni, Shia, and Ibadi alike improved immensely. And all states worshiping Allah could now be considered civilized by those westerner peasants, and in rare cases, great powers on the same level as they. And it was going to stay that way. The sultan of a loyal state to the west, the Redosian sultanate, was passing by, and was immediately granted access to the roads, it seemed that he was going to be taking a Hajj, which the Caliph done a few months ago. Now the Caliph was writing up one of the most important declarations in the Muslim world.

DECLARATION OF THE UNION OF ALL ISLAM

For untold amounts of years, decades, even centuries, the nations of Islam have been split, both politically and religiously, as Sunni, Shia, and Ibadi fought each other for petty reasons, all due to the fact there was no guidance, as the Caliphate was disbanded so many centuries ago. But now there is a Khalifa, and now, Islam may be guided, not just that, Islam, may be united! From this day forward, Islam shall be united, no more division, no more manipulation from the infidel powers. ISLAM IS NOW UNITED!

The world was shaken when this was sent.

King Thomas was alarmed by the sudden declaration of war and the statement issued by the sultanate of Tripolitania, as a result he ordered that the army of 800,000 be increased to 1,000,000 through the conscription of single unmarried men and that trenches were to be dug all across the European mainland's northern border, the north eastern border of turkey and the south eastern border of Syria. Defenses at the Dardanelles had been increased with larger and more powerful costal guns being put in place incase they needed to be used. To keep Cyprus and Malta safe the Imperial navy patrolled its coasts. With 550,000 troops stationed in the mainland of Europe and with 250,000 troops in the Middle Eastern colonies 50,000 thousand newly conscripted soldiers were to be sent 25,000 at a time to gaurd the colonies from any enemy aggression.

On the various fronts the main trenches would be built by unemployed workers that had not been conscripted so that the levels of unemployment could be soaked up. Trenches would be fitted with concrete boxes to act as dormitories so that troops could be able to live in the trenches as well as fight in them. Barbed wire would be placed before the trenches and would create choke points so that attacking enemy infantry could be funnelled into feilds of interlocking machinegun and artillery fire and as a result would be massacred. Some trenches had concrete machine gun pillboxes and feild cannon implacements for further defence as well as regular machine gun implacements. More troops would join their comrades on the three different fronts. The Imperial Masonic Dominion would remain neutral and would trade with openly with both belligerents of the war but it was an armed neutrality.

While the trenches all cross the various borders were being completed the newly conscripted troops would undergo training, those troops that were ready and regulars would stay in makeshift trenches that were in front of the main ones that were under construction. 300,000 troops would be stationed in the east while 500,000 were stationed in the European main land. The trenches would be complete within three to four months. With the workers being pushed harshly to complete the, in the shortest amount of time possible. Artillery, mortars and troops would eventually be transferred to the trenches, for now they would take up postions in their temporary trenches. The goal was to assemble a force of 350,000 troops in the east and to keep an army of 650,000 in the west incase the war spreaded to the European mainland. If need be troops could be diverted to the east from the west though Turkey.

Troops would continue to be conscripted and join their fellow troops at the various fronts while the trenches had been dug and the heavy weapons and artillery had been placed. War production had hugely increased with the oil of the middle eastern colonies serving is purpose by helping to fuel the huge production of rifles, shells, ammunition and other products of war. Unemployed workers would also work in these factories to aid the economy of The Imperial Dominion. The king hoped that by enacting a plan such as this it would make his northern borders more secure and deter any attack from the sultanates of the south.

In order to prevent death of millions of people, I kindly request you to surrender. After the war, we will still let you govern the region, your independence will not be taken away, it will just be under our crown and protection, but St. Petersburg will also be secured and the Slavic people will be safe. David looked at his table and got the bright idea and said " I would like to send a letter to our fellow leader,I mean anyone we could find! I then want another letter to ask for maybe a truce or some kind of deal, they'll have anything those Slavs.
