Orbit of New Carthage

A black rift in space appears out of nowhere and the Nebulean war machine came from it. Black starships that seem like the hull is carved from the night itself came from this rift. Several small ones came forth and in a few moments, a huge one came. It was the Eupherie-class Mothership, vast and massive. It dwarfs over the Imperator-class and Zehry-class ships. The Motherships activated its AI controlled drones to screen and form some sort of barrier covering the mothership from any attack while its huge plasma weapons rotated and began to charge it up pointing the huge turrets at the several starships above New Carthage.

"Sir, We have arrived in New Carthage and we seemed to have picked up some starships in our radar. We have told our men to go into battle stations to prepare for battle." said a man with a jet black coat. "Very good, Tell Callistos forces that the Black Nebulae Empire has arrived to give aid and to destroy anyone who sides with Free Hyperion, Gloria Tribuna." responded another man in a jet black coat but this time with a phoenix sigil in its shoulder.

The Mothership AI classified Callistos and Free Hyperion ships from it's database. It began firing huge balls of Plasma towards Free Hyperion forces while the Imperator-class and Zehry-class starships began to advance firing their Plasma cannons at Hyperion Forces while Tetraal-class Destroyers are escorting the Supremo-class Carriers to make landfall in New Carthage.

Census of forces in theatre, she requests.

Census of friendly forces, she replies. Free Hyperion, Terliran, Interstellar Federation, Drakon, Kyrenaian, Vogegan. 6 factions fielding 546 contacts total.

Census of hostile forces, she adds. Callistian, NCSU, Xiron, Nebulean. 4 factions fielding 738 contacts total.

A real fight, she says, excited. Father would never have let us into something like this at home.

Nothing like this would have happened at home, she says, sulkily. Nothing happens at home.

You are far too cavalier, she chides, annoyed, with the lives of your charges. The enjoyment of combat is improper.

Improper as it may be, she says coolly, drawing herself up, there it is.

Numerically, the odds are against us, she retorts.

“Numerically”, she says mockingly. Like a thousand Mantarien Trade Defenders versus one slight breeze.

< Atentigo – Biohazard – Point of origin: NCSU flagship >

A further plasma bank rising off Kastelo's starboard hull fires into the pink mist making an impressive pace across the battlespace. In their long journey, the Red Mantevins have encountered diseases such as the Cthulhuists, and have no love for them. The hot plasma is intended to sterilise and dissipate. Should the effluent touch Kastelo's shields, that will certainly happen. Should Kastelo's shields be penetrated, on the other hand, there will be a much more present danger – but the battleplate is far too valuable to lose to such a tactical blunder.

< Atentigo – Weapons discharge, priority 2 – CSS Infinity Spear against Drakon Leader >

We should do something! Excitement.

They'll handle it. Coolness.

< Atentigo – Mission kill achieved – CSS Alexandria by Vengema >

This is easier than I hoped. Sulky.

Don't be so overconfident. Chiding.

< Atentigo – INTERROMPI – KOREKTO: GARDE – Prioritato – Hostile movement inbound – Callistian cruiser wing designated C-3 – Projected target: Vengema >

What did I tell you? Chiding, now vindicated.

You're no fun. Sulky. Quieter.

The threatening glow from Vengema's drives, ahead, becomes a star as it tries to accelerate away from the near-solid cloud of incoming projectiles. A battalion of stars rises to meet the incoming fire, anti-kinetic torpedoes designed to damage a coordinated attack by knocking unguided kinetic rounds off course. They detonate as they meet the incoming munitions. A percentage of the incoming rounds do not strike Vengema.

A percentage do. The ship's shields flare blue, then orange, then red in quick succession, flashing white under the impact of an entire wing's worth of projectiles. It is momentarily not visible. Around it, point defence lances still strobe through the sky like laser lights – but not its own. Slowly the shield haze clears.

The vast majority of damage done to a Couronnois ship in space combat – even a rogue Couronnois ship – is electrical. It is unavoidable. To function at the needed effectiveness, the electrical system must be able to draw surge power of up to 100% of reactor output in less than a second. Under the unpredictable strain of space combat, it is impossible to surge-protect a ship's power systems enough to avert internal damage. The small blessing is this – if the damage occurs, you at least are alive. Armour is almost useless against spaceborne kinetics. A Couronnois ship whose shields are down will become spacedust within seconds.

Vengema is not far from it. The back half of the ship is dented and battered, breached where the detonation of major components that were inadequately insulated has blown away armour. The upper of the two main drive tubes is dark. The ship is tumbling, end over end, slowly in the direction of the Callistian fleet, and as it tries to stabilise it becomes clear that thrusters down one side of the ship are inactive. The controlling intelligence acts quickly, however, using the remaining thrusters to stop the tumble, with Vengema pointing back toward Kastelo.

Already? The cool voice again, awake now.

It was not unexpected. The chiding voice.

She sends an internal fleet communication. < Kastelo to Vengema – requesting damage report. >

< Vengema to Kastelo – summary damage report – drive #1 disabled, reactor in safety shutdown. Heavy casualties on engineering and munitions decks. Do you wish us to remain? >

We will accept them if they do. You know that. The excited voice. Restrained.

I would rather not. There are few enough of us as it is. Recovery is not always complete. The cool voice.

And in any case, it is philosophically questionable. The chiding voice.

< Kastelo to Vengema. Withdraw. >

< Acknowledged. Thank you, Charlotte. > His voice is undeniably relieved. Vengema turns its nose and disappears, with a stuttering flash.

< Kastelo to Racia. You are now fleet leader. Inform your escorts that we will fire a synchronous pattern on my mark. >

It is quick. Kastelo and Racia rake their plasma lances across the incoming Callistian cruiser wing. These are not ship-killing bound lances like Vengema's, simply normal lances – which they have many of. The lance wave is designed to weaken any shields they might have. Two salvos of railgun fire follow in quick succession, perfectly coordinated across all the dorsal guns of the fleet. The final strike is a wave of fire, anti-ship missiles rising up from the fleet to meet the incoming Callistians.

< GARDE – Prioritato – Nebulean forces have arrived in battlespace >

Well. Today is interesting already. On that, all of her agree.

"Incoming!" a crewmember shouted over the intercom as a plasma barrage hailed onto the IFS William. The plasma warped against the antimatter shielding but dissipated off the extremely strong energy barrier.

"Status!"

"That was just a glancing blow. No major damage."

"All hands, prepare for combat!" the Captain ordered as he flicked his wrist and got the bearing of the all enemy ships in this system.

"Fire the main guns at that Black Nebulae mothership!"

The IFS William's antimatter accelerators sent out two powerful antimatter projectiles at over half the speed of light. They landed dead square in the conning tower of the mothership. A visible blast erupted off the side of the ship, measuring in petatons.

"I want those fighters to bear down on that ship now!"

Hundreds of fighters engaged in dogfights around the mothership while bombers and attackers sent out continuous antimatter strikes against them. The hail of fire was unrelenting as fighters swarmed everywhere.

"Cruisers, engage those secondary vessels!"

The Knight-class cruisers fired up their antimatter drives and engaged the enemy forces, each being armed with several antimatter accelerators. While the first wave of attack against the mothership was over, the William opened up with two of it's three energy projectors that shot a large stream of plasma straight towards the mothership.

The frigates screened the heavier Interstellar ships, dishing out massive supporting fire at anything that got too close. Explosions erupted everywhere as other Free Hyperion allies also began to pound the Callistos allies. Antimatter whizzed past plasma as both sides exchanged fire towards each other without relent.

"Captain, I would advise directly engaging the enemy landing force." the ships AI commented as he effortlessly directed the fire of over 10,000 weapons towards the enemy.

"Agreed. All friendlies in the area, engage the enemy landing force. We'll give you cover, over."

Orbit over New Carthage, NEF Fleet

The 20th Assault Battlegroup and 24th Heavy Battlegroup (which also had the 189th Trooper Legion transport ship) dropped out of hyperspace, a total of ninety ships regrouped. They began to move to the planet known as New Carthage, the Admiral looked at the tactical map, he was supposed that this planet hasn't already fell to the surround communistic states around it. When word of the bloody and rapid transition form a capitalistic held system to mostly communistic held system reached the NEF, the news caused worry as this could leak into other systems and cause some unwanted results. So the Federation was to deploy two battle groups and a legion of Troopers with a detachment of Paladins (number 10,000 strong) to help reinforce this planet.

"Sir, jump complete"

"Thank you lieutenant" said the Admiral, he stood up and walked to the window and found himself looking at the planet that was ahead of him. Several explosions could been seen as he noticed several fleets engaging. He turned to his navy officer and bellowed "BRING US IN! Also, Comms send a message telling the 189th to get ready for orbital landing!"

"Sir what about the ships above the planet?"

"Send a message to all Captialistic ships that we are here to help them out"

"Yes sir!"

Soon the two battle groups surged forward and a message was sent out to all capitalist ships informing them that the NEF ships where here to reinforce them.

RKS Mutraqa, under the command of Admiral Amin Bey.
Moving into the Hyperion-System.

Admiral Bay watched the display of his holoprojector in the centre of his command room, hands folded in his lap.
There was a small smile in his face, as it also showed his own ships a whole lot away from all the fighting. They were still showing flag, weren't they?
And we aren't even involved in any fighting., he thought as he saw the fleets engaging each other, fighters whizzing about or exploding when hit. He was quite sure, that it was a sight to behold when seen with something other then holocams.
They were also having a network of markings present: Who declared support to whom, who sent messages where and who belonged to whom. It was an ocean of colours, green for those friendly to Free Hyperion and therefore them, red for those unfriendly towards Free Hyperion.
"Admiral, message from the William. They are engaging the enemy landing forces.", one of his officers reported.
Bey shook his head. Without having conquered space superiority as of yet?, he thought, Not a good move.
"New signals, NEF identifacation.", his sensor officer reported as indeed new contacts appeared. "They are friendly."
Bey nodded. "Hail them.", he ordered and once he got the okay from his comms officer, he began to speak: " "This is Admiral Amin Bey onboard the Command Ship Mutraqa of the Royal Kyrenaian Navy. Who do I have the pleasure with and would said person be interested in a flanking maneuvre against the Callistan Forces alongside us?"

Orbit over New Carthage

"Sir! We are being hailed!"

"Who is it?"

"Sir it's Admiral Amin Bey of the Royal Kyrenaian Navy"

The Admiral nodded, the comma officer played the transmission. He then stood up and began to speak

"Admiral this is Admiral Joesph Tul of the NEF we will asssit you, I am dispatching the 20th Assualt Battlegroup to assist you. My 24th Heavy Battlegroup will move forward and escort the 189th Legion to the surface...do you know what is the situation on the ground?"

20th Assualt Battlegroup

High Captain Julius looked at the latest set of orders and the Nav point, he was unsure about this Royal Kyrenaian Admiral but they where about to fight some commies. So that made this a bit better but he was unsure, it seems that his mission was to link up with their fleet and counterattack the Callistan Forces. He looked at the tac map and smiled if this worked this could possibly knock some confusion into the communist fleets. He then ordered his fleets to move to the nav Point he just hoped that this would work.

"My pleasure, Admiral Tul.", Bey replied in a tone more fit for civilized conversation, "As for your question, sadly no. We, that means me and my Royal Army Counterpart, planned our landing, if it should occur, after the battle is won. I will now leave you to it and wish you the best of luck. Bey over and out."
He looked at his holographic display, taking a moment to consider the tactics.
"Contact the flagship of the 20th Assault Battlegroup.", he told his comms officer. "Tell them, that they are to join formation at the tip of our spear, behind Battlegroup Yatagan. And that they are ABG 20 from now on. Then prepare to receive instructions for a new course."
"Which, Sir?", his Nav-Officer asked.
Bey grinned.

As soon as the new ships joined the formation, integrating themselves as good as possible, the formation sank in relative terms. As terms such as up and down were rather difficult in space and describing such a move as 'relatively to the plane of Hyperion-III's orbit down meaning towards the southern pole of the planet, sinking' is quite a mouthful, it will be called sinking.
The plan was to cut up into the underside of the enemy's formation, deep into and through it, turning then for a second pass.
Major roles would be played by the Battlegroups Yatagan and ABG 20, as they were mostly focussed on forward striking cababilities (Bey knew that about his ships, but went from sensor scans of the ships of ABG 20). What they wouldn't be able to pick off, the heavy cruisers would take care of, as well as keeping their flanks free.
Meanwhile, CBG 15 disengaged and set up camp in the middle distance, waiting for their signal. The Missile Cruisers and the carriers' fighters were their weapons and they were to be used carefully.
It would take a bit until they were in striking position.

New Carthage
Orbit
UIPNS Termination, Forerunner Class Super-Dreadnought, Bridge, 93rd Combat Operations Fleet

The formation of ships had sat in Slipspace for over 48 hours straigh that essenssial personel had been clocked out for needed rest and their places taken by their counterparts, but as Admiral Gerlad Murmansk stared hdown his old 18th century pocket watch as its arms liste the 10th hour of the crew's res time he readied his ar and as soon as time had reached he pressed a button on his command chair and klaxons on his ship and others rang about, signalling they only had half an hour before battle.

"Sir, New Carthage news reports indicate combat has already started between the two powers, we advice we enter with formation." XO Nima Hantus said as she looked over to her superior.

"We were already in formation long before, but if combat is how I would have predicted, then tell Rear Admirals Zack and Yui to move to formation Gamma-Red-37 as soon as we get back to real space." the old Admiral said.

Blue and black portals had ripped through space and out came the 93rd Combat Operations Fleet in full force looking like an unorganized band but soon that was fixed.

"Sir, multiple ships, most seem to be allied ships, from the look of this battle, Calistos may be the ine that might be invaded." thr chief sensor operator said from his station.

"Excellent, with the fleet in formation, I want all ships to pick their targets but keep the formation." the Admiral announced and not so soon, they sent Tungsten rounds tipped with low yield nuclear warheads down range, the sheer force of the round is enough to gut in half any unshielded ship, but the ASNR (Anti Ship Nuclear Round) was a oversized HEAT round for ships should they penetrate.

24th Heavy Battlegroup

"You to Admiral" Tul ended the transmission and looked toward his left where he saw the 20th Battlegroup head for the direction of the Kyrenaian Navy. All he to do was no find a place to land his troops and help reinforce the capitalist forces, if there was one thing that communist nations are good at is overrunning enemy lines with wave after wave of armor and troops.

20th Battlegroup, NEF Hellfire

"We have successfully integrated with the Kyrenaian Navy sir"

"Good" replied High Captain Julius as he walked forward he had placed his carriers in the middle of the spear tip as they will be covered by the other ships as they where the most vital piece of ship. They would help tip the favor of fighter superiority in there favor, as for the frigates and cruisers they where a bit more towards the front as their long rage super MAC cannons and HK guns could deter most ships they also had several ion cannons and plasma turrets in cause of some close rage combat. Another thing is that the frigates and cruisers had on board fighters to help fend off some incoming enemy fighters. As for the corvettes, their job was to provide local anti fighter, bomber, and interceptor support. They also had a interesting role of harassing enemy carriers (once they where alone form enemy ships).

Julius looked at the plans and smiled This would put them in some short of confusion but then he frowned as if his Battlegroup and Battlegroup Yatagan didn't breakthrough it would a disaster as they would be caught in a fury of fire and so would the other ships. He then contacted Admiral Bey

"Admiral Bey, this is High Captain Julius my ships are in position waiting further instructions"

Turning away from the main battle, you would ask, where were the troops of the NCSU? Well, the fighting was simply a distraction for the enemy, and the transport fleet, which arrived on the opposite side of the planet through short range FTL, began dropping a horde of drop pods. These would then hurtle through the untainted atmosphere of New Carthage. After landing with a literal and in most cases destructive bang, Demon Troopers, Elite and non-elite, began flooding out of the drop pods, destroying as much things as possible. Now the New Hyperion ships would have to deal with two landing sites, one still ongoing and another already done. In an attempt to increase the chances of the meat hitting and corrupting ships, they have been shot out with mini psyker fields, in order to make said meat grow even faster whilst flying through space, splitters were also hemmed into the meats so that the meats would be split into multiple meats that would still grow and grow.

For the rest of the fleet, the ship that rammed what seemed to be one of the enemy flagships and punctured it, was preparing to assault it. At the breach, Demon Troopers and Madmen swarmed zealously into the rammed enemy ship. They were also tossing the meats all over the place, in order to infect as much surface area and enemies. Any enemy in their way, they ripped into shreddings, and any dead that was on the floor, they climbed over. Screaming “FOR CTHULHU!” and some screaming “WAAAAAGH!”, they tried to mow anything not them down. Now there was such a thing as a meat dispenser, and it was raised on many ships, these meat dispensers would then do their thing: disperse as much meat as possible and as fast as possible. On other happenings, the Vogegan energy lances, which vaporized a ton of meat, weakening the energy lances, were collected by tossing rods of metal into space, these were energy collectors, and they would then convert the energy into usable forms. In order to relieve the Black Nebulae fleet, a detachment of infected fighters were sent, they shot at the enemy fighters and tried to merge with them using the meat as glue.

Collective High Command, Undisclosed Location

There's civil war in the Hyperion System
Civil wars happen all the time.
It appears this one has attracted alot of foreignattention, multiple space time disruptions have originated from there, sides are being taken, between the Capitalist Free Hyperion, and the Socialist People's Republic of Callistos.
[color=#8040FF]So we should Support the PRC amd spread Mechanocratic Communism?

Yes, Collectivist nations tend to be more accepting of the total upgrade of the population, it won't have to be done by force.
An expeditionary force should suffice, this won't be the first time we've sent an expeditionary force to a foreign system, and it won't be the last.

Outskirts of the Hyperion System

Near Abyssi opened a wormhole, first no more than a micron, grew rapidly, within a second it was a meter, very soon it grew to a several kilometers in radius, big enough for a fleet to pass through.
Slowly emerged 432 ships, but just over half are capable of combat, leading the fleet was a massive 16 Kilometer long Cube, this wasn't a single ship, it was in fact 8. 8 Capital ships all docking with each other, for protection and to co-ordinate the rest of the fleet better.

The Igex
Orbit of New Carthage

In just the blink of an eye, the Igex had departed from hyperspace. Two long and sinister pincers jutted out into the never-ending frontier known as space. Just below the pincers were two space cannons; which were capable of the destruction of most ships. At the very center sat a head, that mostly resembled that of a Xironian robot. Out of the thrust emitted fiery cerulean flames.

Image

The captain of the ship remained vigilant, as the risk of encountering the enemy grew increasingly. Rather waiting for the enemy, he would hunt them. Meanwhile, thousands of Xironian droids boarded their cramped pods, as an invasion was to occur. Red lights and boisterous alarms continuously flashed as the rear end of the Igex revealed the vast expanses of space. Suddenly hundreds of pods crowded the skies, plummeting towards the atmosphere of New Carthage. A squad of Xironian fighters protected these pods, and assured that they would arrive to safety.

A robot had made its way above the control room, into the headquarters, where the captain resided.

"Sir, as we converse, our pods are headed towards New Carthage. Are there any further plans?"

"Once we have concluded part one of our invasion, I shall see to it that a stronghold is established on New Carthage." it commanded.

"It will be completed." said the robot. It then proceeded to make its way out of the headquarters, and to the central operating station.

Every last of the pods left the Igex, as the captain had originally planned. The ship now orbited New Carthage, eager to impair any enemy that should threaten it.

The Nebulean Mothership was engaging the IFS William with its Plasma Cannons. In a rather brief exchange of fire, the mothership was hit by an antimatter accelerator projectile on the conning tower. But they didn't mind it one bit and continued to hurl massively condensed balls of plasma towards the Free Hyperion allies.

"Hmpf, To think that they have such a weapon. Activate Shield Generators 1 and 2 and order all drones surrounding the mothership activate their shield generators. Put it at maximum power and go into BD mode and activate the secondary plasma turrets. Order all ships in the vicinity of the Motherships to form Battle Formation 3!" he commanded into the communications vox

The Imperator-class Battleships and Zehry-class Frigates who are still escorting the Mothership started to form around the Mothership in a defensive pattern designed to fight off enemy starships and to repel any incoming aircraft and the Motherships main plasma batteries started to blink red and purple before finally turning to black light. Secondary plasma turrets formed up on the ships hulls numbering in thousands, Some of them the size of an Imperator-class plasma batteries.

The Mothership charged up its main plasma batteries in BD mode and fired off a massively condensed dark plasma towards the Free Hyperion Ally. It collided with the energy shield of a smaller ship near the IFS William before finally the shield cracked and broke followed by the dark plasma hitting the smaller ship and destroying it to near oblivion. Euhperie-class Motherships are not a force to be reckoned with since they brought an entire system to heel before them during the Black Nebulae Empire's conquests. Another huge ball of condensed dark plasma fired off from one of the motherships main batteries towards the IFS William accompanied by thousands of smaller several plasma fire.

The IFS William's energy shielding flared up as the shielding absorbed the dark plasma and recycled some of the energy of the blast to charge up the weaponry of the assault carrier. Being a Hastings-class Assault Carrier, the William was one of the most powerful warships in this system and a single assault carrier could effectively bring an entire star cluster to it's knees. The antimatter accelerators dished out enough damage to create a supernova and the fighters were unstoppable in swarming the enemy.

"Status!" the Captain ordered.

"Sir, weapons at full capacity. Current energy discharge is 1,840,000,000,000,000 gigajoules. Shielding is still holding strong with refresh requency of 25 million ^ 20 watts. Efficiency rate is at 82.162442%."

"You don't need to tell me the exact details!" he smirked as he ordered a twenty simultaneous strikes upon the mothership, definitely enough to penetrate the ship's shielding and armour. The antimatter itself would have annihilated with the force of over ten million Tsar-Bombas and that would have multiplied with the force of half light speed to be enough to crack any vessel's defences.

A few thousand kilometers away, were the initial enemy landing forces were entering the atmosphere, a stream of plasma began to slice through their ships as the Interstellar fleet started targeting the landing force. Starfighters soared around the landing force, their antimatter cannons ripping apart centimeters of armour while attackers launched torpedoes and bombs.

CSS Infinity Spear, Marathon Class-Carrier
Worker's 215th Expeditionary Force, 3rd Marine Battalion
Above New Carthage, April 6th, 2330

"Alright boys, shit's going down." A dark room along the corridor was full of EVA Marines, some of the best soldiers in the DPRC. The pulled equipment for lockers along the wall, slipping on their helmets and kit, and preparing their rifles and ammunition. All the while, their commanding officer, a man named Captain Lastimosa stood overlooking a holographic map of the interior of the ship, "Hostiles have breached deck Echo-275, here... here and here. Our job is simple, contain them. They could push on the main armoury.... here. The main fighter bay, or the bridge. We have access to door controls, so all we gotta do is trap the buggers in and put the dogs down. Sound good?"

"Oorah!"

"Excellent." Lastimosa pulled his helmet over his face, and as he did the visor lit up bright blue, the visage of a skull clear over his face, "Let's get this done." Marine teams began to push through the corridors, locking down blast doors at major junctions. The sound of gunfire guided Lastimosa onwards, until finally, rounding a corner, the Captain cried, "Contacts!" Before the sound of Gauss fire echoed from the Marines guns, racing down the corridors.

Meanwhile, Admiral Menendez had his work cut out for him on the bridge, "Damn it, enemy ships advancing! I want all bomber wings to tear them a new one!" He ordered, as a squadron of strike craft raced past the bridge. As they approached the ship, a bright light could be seen charging along their bellies. Once they were within range, a volley of plasma struck the ships hull.

Suddenly, a Radar Technician announced, "Sir more warp signatures! Hostile fleet inbound, they..." The ship rocked and the lights flickered, as it was hit with an unidentified weapon.

"What the hell was that?" The Admiral asked.

"Unknown, sir. The Shield took a hell of a hit though, effectiveness is at critical." Before anyone else could react, they were hit again, "Shit... more hostiles from bellow! Sir, we can't hold out we need to fall back!"

"No! We have men on the ground, we hold on!" Menendez roared, reaching out for a radio. Checking the frequency, he began to speak, transmitting a message to his allies in the are.
This is Admiral Carlos Menendez of the CSS Infinity Spear, we are taking heavy fire and have been boarded. Requesting intimidate assistance!

The larger ships of the Callistian fleet began to hold back, taking up defensive positions surrounding the Carrier, firing outwards with everything they could at hostile fleets, while smaller corvettes used their speed to move in closer to enemies.

Air raid sirens blared over the Callistian Capitol of Santa Dominica, the sound of AA and SAM fire ringing out over the city, with fire coming from the Industrial Outskirts of the city. El Generalissimus himself watched the spectacle from his Villa, far from the fighting but close enough to see the flames. He could almost feel the heat itself, hear the screams of his people. His hand was curled around the revolver in the back of his belt, squeezing the grip subcontiously.

"El Generalissimus!" He was pulled out of his trance by a SSG agent behind him. He was wearing full combat gear, a relatively uncommon sight in the capital, which had not seen fighting for over five years, "You most go, you are not safe here!"

Generalissimus Antonius nodded solemnly, pulling the revolver from it's holsters and checking it's ammo, "Take my family to the shelter. I'm staying here."

Meanwhile, across the field, the local defence forces of Hestia had responded in record time. The hard drilled SSG and Civil Defense Force had mobilized in minutes, mobile AA guns spitting fire upwards at enemy fighters in the sky. Around the planet, as well as above it on orbital defense platforms, Callistians fired at the unidentified aircraft, attempting to bring them out of the sky.

The IFS William penetrated the Mothership hulls and bits and pieces of metal were flying off into the void. A hole now bore on the side of the Mothership. But they were left dumbfounded as the metal regenerated itself. Tribunis, As it is called by the Nebuleans were living metal powered by something of unknown origin located inside the Mothership. It can withstand any beating you throw at it and it will continue to regenerate over time.

Mothership

"Continue to dish out any projectile you want at this Mothership. It can keep going even when half of it is blown off." said someone inside the Mothership

"Send a message to other Callistos allies, Tell them that help is coming. ETA, 5 Minutes." ordered him

Orbit of New Carthage

A black rift opened up near the Atmosphere of New Carthage. The bow of a black ship poked through it until it revealed its entire hull. It was another Nebulean Eupherie-class Mothership. It warp drived near the landing force to cover it from any incoming assailants. Already in BD mode. It quickly deployed its drones and intercepted the incoming aircraft. Plasma turrets on the Mothership's hulls began firing rapidly at the incoming ships, a display of red, black and purple filled the void from all directions.

The Landing Force pushed their engine and went into overdrive. It allowed them to travel faster but doing so strains their engine. But their orders were to get inside New Carthage as quickly as possible and to establish a stronghold that would later be used by allies of Callistos or by Nebuleans themselves. They quickly made inside the atmosphere and green for landing due to the Mothership covering them from orbit.

Supremo-class Carriers cruised down at the sky of New Carthage of about 12000 feet from the air. Landing crafts were seen taking off from the carriers and landing into the ground carrying the legio's. The first batch of legio's landed safely and secured a landing point for any other landing craft.

The First Fleet flooded into the Hyperion System, blazing a trail for the troop transports to make their assaults on the planet itself. In the center was a procession of Dreadnoughts and Battleships, flanked by the smaller ships. Peppered between them all were the Orbit Guards Drone Carriers, and behind them all came the troop transports. The Fleet was headed by the ISS Enduring Progress, the flagship of the fleet. As each ship came away from FTL, their engines flared up behind them one by one, pushing them to New Carthage as fast as they could. They were late for the party, and the Astronauts knew it. It was the first time many of them had been to war, and they were cocky and exited. Throughout the Enduring Progress there was a great hustle and bustle as the many soldiers navigated their way through the Zero G's of the main hull, preparing weapons and countermeasures for the coming battle. As they went, a processions of soldiers in brown uniforms, wearing exoskeletons and body armor pulled themselves up from the ladders that lead down into the Habitation Ring. On the other Dreadnoughts in the First Fleet there would be soldiers doing the same, and in the troop transports behind them would be even more. These men were LRAC the Long Range Assault Corp. They would be fired at the planet in drop ships, and be the Vanguard of the coming invasion. Their job was to secure both a safe orbit for the UHP's ships, and a safe landing ground for the UHP's soldiers.

They pushed themselves down the big tube that made up the center of the hull, letting people get to any section of the ship in a relatively timely manner. The Astronauts who operated the ship quickly pushed themselves to the walls, and watched as the LRAC soldiers passed them. There was a mixture of awe and jealousy for them. They were some of the most elite soldiers in the UHP. First ones on the ground, the initial push against an enemy force when the UHP went to war. "Fuck their shit up," said one of the astronauts as the LRAC soldiers passed.

"Whats the situation?" said Admiral Astronaut Adisa Iboori. He was the commanding officer of the entire Expeditionary Force, in charge of the Marines, SSOC, Orbit Guard, and Spacey. His word was law for the UHP, and they would follow him to the grave. He had proven himself in the SPIT 1227 Intervention, and had served as the commanding officer of many smaller scale counter terror operations.

"We got a battle in progress in New Carthage's orbit, and we have reading's indicating nuclear attacks," said Kifeda, the sensor operator for the Enduring Progress.

"Whats the situation with our Vanguard?" said Adisa.

A man named Thomas Hemsworth looked up from a computer at Adisa. "Their in the pods, just waiting for your order to begin the assault."

"And where are we in relation to the battle?" said Adisa.

Batista, the Navigator and Pilot looked down at Adisa. From the Admiral's point of view, Batista was sitting on the ceiling. But in reality, with the Zero G's that the hull operated in, there was no real up or down and they were both right. "We got 15 minutes and closing until we make contact with the fighting," he said.

"Spin up the Point Defense turrets, and have our Torpedo Crews load Kinetic Kill Vehicles across the fleet. I want to have a safe passage as we make our way into orbit."

Hemsworth quickly picked up a phone next to his station, and punched a button on the wall. "Torpedo Crew, load KKV's." He quickly placed the phone on the wall again, before picking it up again and pressing another button and holding it to his ear. "Ship, spin Point Defense Turrets. All hands to battle stations." There had been no official order for battle stations, but it was generally accepted that if Point Defenses had to be ready then they were going into combat. It didnt make Adisa mad, if anything he commended Thomas for showing the initiative.

"Fyodorova," he said, turning to a womana who seemed like she was sitting on the wall from his perspective.

"Yes sir," she said, looking at Adisa.

"Get on the horn fleet wide, tell them all to spin up and load KKV's."

"Understood," she said, before taking a phone off of her own wall and punching a button that said in big red letters 'Fleet.' "Fleet, this is Flagship ISS Enduring Progress. Load KKV's, and spin up Point Defenses. Await further orders."

"Alright," said Adisa, looking at a little display by Fydorova, watching as red lights turned green, indicating that as each battle group in the fleet had completed their orders.

"12 minutes to contact," said Batista.

"Inform the Fleet to deploy LRAC behind the torpedoes."

"Understood," said Fydorova. "Fleet, Flagship ISS Enduring Progress. Deploy LRAC behind torpedo's, await further orders."

"Inform the Orbit Guard to deploy their drones at their own discretion," said Adisa.

"Orbit Guard, this is Flagship ISS Enduring Progress, deploy drones at your discretion."

There was a tense pause in their conversation, and Adisa could swear he felt the entire UHP First Fleet slowly pucker up along side him the closer their got to the orbit of New Carthage. When Batista said '10 minutes to contact,' Adisa quickly looked at Fydorova and said, "Launch KKV's." She in turn repeated what he said into the phone, and a minute later Adisa said "Deploy LRAC." Fydorova repeated it again into the phone, and the display showing which Battle Groups had finished their orders began to flash green. Adisa pushed himself in the Zero G's to look at the screens and readings at Batista's station, watching intently as the initial volley from the UHP sprayed outwards towards the enemy fleets.

He couldn't hear it, but when he saw the Torpedo's make contact with the enemy fleet, it stirred a little fire inside him. They were still to far to see who they had killed, but Adisa watched as the KKV's ripped into the hulls of the enemy's ships. He could see little flecks of metal as they were ripped from the hulls, and as they got closer the body's of the dead floating in space. Just a few more minutes and they would be in orbit. It had been a good first attack as far as Adisa was concerned, and most importantly it had secured a stable orbit for the First Fleet, making their further operations much easier from here on out. Now all that was left was to wait for word from LRAC. If they secured a good landing zone, then the Space to Ground Troopers would go in and push the enemy's forces back farther so that the Marines could land. From there, it was war.

Holy Roman Triumvirate, Vatican City

A large parade went threw the streets of the Vatican, with tanks rolling out on the roads and soldiers marching in massive formations. The Chruch bells were ringing, and the Emperor would be inside St. Peter's Basilica. The Pope would lift from the Holy See, and with his Cardinals, would bless Constantine with prayers.

"And may God ever be with you."

The massive figure would raise, bow, then exit the Cathedral. He would travel to a Military airbase and would enter a shuttle, then depart for a huge Warship looming overhead. The Dreadnought would open a hangar door, as the shuttle entered. The Emperor rushed out from the shuttle and walked to the bridge of the Vessel, then the doors to the command bridge opened and the main deck crew turned around and stood at attention.

"Heil to thee, Emperor!"

Constantine would lift his hand, and the men would continue working at their posts. He would plump into a command chair, much like a throne. Five frigates and three destroyers were aready gathered around the Flagship, and with the Emperor's word, all the ships would jump away in unison. The Ships would appear in the Hyperion System in a flash, and they would start advancing. They would send a message to all near vessels.

"Thank you, High Captain.", the Admiral replied with a nod.
The formation was ready.
All ships, both of his battlegroup and the ABG 20 lended to him, were ready to strike upwards into the heart of the enemy formation, with lasers, ion canons, mass accelerators, torpedoes, everything. The carriers were ready as well, at least his - and Julius seemed sure to have his carriers ready as well.
Bey looked at the hologram, held his breath for a moment.
As beautiful as the display was, it was equally deadly.
"Begin with the attack run.", he ordered and fastened his seatbelt, just to be safe. "And order the Artillery Group to begin with the harassing!"
As he ordered, his ships pulled up, relatively speaking, to hit into the underside of the battle, attacking the underside of the enemy fleet. It would not be pretty - then again, he was not paid to be nice.

CBG 15 Artillery Group, RKS Sarepta.
Commodore Pascha, in command of the group of four heavily armed missile cruisers and their escorts, smiled at the order from his flagship. Together with their carrier, they were far away from the heat of battle, ideal conditions for his ships to make their fearsome harvest.
The Gordion-class Missile Cruiser was centered around four heavy missile launchers, their main weapons equippable with every heavy missile the Sultanate had at their disposal - for a lot of purposes.
"Target the ship attacking IFS William.", Pascha ordered with a nod, pointing at a sensor signature, "And her battlegroup. Standard Baradium Warheads. All ships, fire when ready."
Half a minute later, sixteen heavy, Baradium-Armed missiles streaked towards the enemy, ten of them for the Nebulan Mothership alone, the rest evenly spread across her battlegroup. Each of them had a blast yield equivalent to 200 megatons of TNT - larger then many of the largest nuclear weapons.
These were weapons made to make a problem disappear in a bright flash.
The missiles were not undetectable, nothing ever was undetectable, but due to diminished heat and radiation signatures, radar-absorbant materials and general construction (including using next to no ferromagnetic metals), it was very, very hard to do so. General estimations of the RKN said, that nearly any given enemy would only be able to detect the missiles up to sixty seconds from the impact, and that was in clear space, not a raging battle.
What would happen now was up to see - no matter what, the Artillery Group made itself known from quite a distance away.

20th Assault Battlegroup

"Forward thrust helmsman" ordered High Captain Julius as he walked to his chair and sat down, he then pulled up a tactical map of the battlefield and began to mark the locations of friendly and hostile fleets. "Comm officer, once the fleet has broke through order all fighters to launch, I rather us have the advantage then the commies. Also order all ships to move to red alert....prepare for combat"

"Yes sir"

Across all of the ships in the Assault Battlegroup everyone was preparing for combat, fighters where being prepared, guns where being loaded and Troopers where being prepared to repel any boarders.

24th Heavy Battlegroup

"Admiral! I have picked up a signal form Free Hyperion forces in the city known as Constantinople"

"Good, bring us in to escort the transport"

"Also multiple signatures of Free Hyperion friendly ships....along with a signals of unknown ships..."

"Keep an eye on that unknown contact, also get me a line to the Free Hyperion Ground command or any friendly ground forces"

"Yes sir"

The Admiral walked over to the holoprojector and clicked it on. He then cleared his throat and began to speak."This is Admiral Tul of the New Earth Federation, to any Free Hyperion friendly forces we are here to assist."

189th Transport

"Alright Troopers load up into your drop pods! You known the drill we secure a landing zone and help support the troopers that will be flying in via Raptors." Bellowed the Captain of the 98th Drop Battalion as he walked into the drop pod room, he wore the standard Trooper armor with the exception that he had a gold stripe running down the center of his helmet. He walked into the first pod, slid on his helmet and looked around him, he saw many faces that would soon lost and forgotten. He sighed and charged the bolt on his M83A7.

"Let's get this show on the road!" He said as the door closed and his pod turned around..he slowed his breath and then the pod dropped towards the planet bellow. After a few minutes 500 Raptor drop ships flew to the city of Constantinople.

The Callision forces reacted very quickly. The 45 incoming ships, were quickly doing axial rolls and elevation pitches to avoid the Anti-Air fire. They had ignored the orbital defenses, and only lost a fighter to them. Several other fighters were damaged, but could still fly. The 44 strike-craft came through and entered the atmosphere. Their hull metal barely standing up to the heat. The 29 fighters went first, and strafed the ground, killing several enemies and destroying a couple of smaller buildings.
Then the bombers dropped some incendiary bombs, followed by plasma bombs on the surviving buildings. The fires burnt the large factories, and the soldiers arriving on the scenes. More fires started as flammable objects caught fire.
The second pass was far more damaging to the Vogegan strikecraft. One of the Vulture fighters, was hit by the very first AA shot. It started to spin out and crashed somewhere in the capital. Two more fighters were destroyed by Surface to Air Missiles, that blew them up in the air and caused debris to rain down on the enemy. One of the fighters was hit by three separate anti-aircraft rounds at the same time and split up into a multitude of debris. One of the pieces, nicked a hydra bomber and caused its bombs to drop too early, right on top of a squad of fully armored enemy infantry, instead of a troop transport. That same bomber was then hit by a SAM, and crashed into an empty troop transport. The remaining bombers, having dropped all their bombs, starting to exit the planet's atmosphere. Three more where hit and came crashing back down to the planet. One landed on a mountain, the other a field, and the other on a cow that was grazing in a pasture.
As the bombers escaped, one more was hit by an orbital defense platform, so that it was split in half. Both halves crashed into the platform, but only did cosmetic damage.
The Vulture fighters continued to strafe, now targeting SAM sites and AA guns. Once there were only 11 left, ten started to leave, and managed to make it without further causalities. The last one, landed on the ground on its four prongs and began to stamp around shooting. It managed to impale ten enemy ground soldiers, and knock over an AA gun, until a brave squad of soldiers tackled the droid to the ground. As it fell, a point blank AA blast caught it and blew the body of the droid clean off from the leg. The legs collapsed, and the body flipped end over end until it crashed to the ground.
Only 10 Hydra Bombers and 10 Vulture Fighters managed to escape

V.E.S. Traigo Muerto
The Grand Commander had watched the attack on the Calipso Satellite. It was impressed by the speed of which the communist forces managed to react to the threat. The strike force had returned, and the craft were being refueled and rearmed.
The Grand Commander then changed targets of the lances, once he realized they were not striking the enemy ships. The new target was the newly emerged ship that had just appeared over the planet.
It also launched five boarder pods at one of the enemy ships (CSS Infinity Spear) that was firing most of its shots at other targets. Of the five, only one managed to hit the ship. Just then, the fleet formed up around the ship.

CSS Infinity Spear
The legs of the boarder pod had punched through the weaken hull part of the ship. The seal opened up, and 20 A1 battle droids fell out. They were in an out of the way corridor, with only two crew in sight. Those two crew quickly fell under a hail of ion fire. Nothing was left, but chunks of meat and blood stained metal. The small squad of droids began to march towards were most of the enemy strike craft were being launched from.

Near Abyssi

As soon as the fleet had fully emerged from the tunnel in Spacetime, it collapsed with a flash of exotic particles, that were used to sustain the Einstein-Rosen bridge.
As soon as the fleet organised itself and got out of the restrictive tight formation that was necessary to pass through the wormhole, they flew into action.
Some cargo ships descended into Abyssi to set up a Forward Operating Base, following the cargo ships was a troop transport ship that would provide the bodies to man the base.

Following this procedure, the fleet activated their sub light engines and headed course for Callistos, and the Capital Ships (which are all linked and are effectively a single ship) sent out a greeting addressed to the PRC Government.

We are the Collective, it is our understanding that you are currently at war with the Individualist Capitalists in the system.
We have detected numerous spacetime disruptions emanating from here, the Capitalists have more allies than expected, and this has caused the local enemies of the Capitalists to become involved to spite them.
We are not aware of any nation formally extending their hand to you and offering aid, this system has been turned into a proxy war battleground, not much regard has been given to your civilian population.
We are here to address that, currently we have set up a base on Abyssi, we will accept anyone wishing to come here, out of harms way, as many homes are no longer safe due to Capitalist intentions.
Our fleet is heading towards your world in order to defend it and allow anyone to travel to Abyssi.

We are also offering a great gift for anyone that wishes to receive it.
We can remove class, colour, hunger, disease, pain and even death, you suffer in the flesh, when you accept you can enjoy true Communism!
However, if you wish to decline, that is fine, your wish is our command, we are here to help.
We eagerly await your reply.

First LRAC Brigade, Second Battalion
The drop pods of the First LRAC Brigade, Second Battalions streaked into the atmosphere of New Carthage. Unlike the Spacey, the soldiers in these pods were all veterans. They had been trained to be the best, and all had been combat tested before. They were a unit, one of the most elite in the UHP Military. When they went in, it meant the UHP was looking to do damage. They had been deployed to the New Carthage city of Constantinople, ordered to secure and landing zone for the SGT's, who would then land and push back any enemy forces even farther so that the Marine's could land safely, bringing their tanks, APC's, soldiers and drones.

Lieutenant Captain Astronaut Agni Patel, the commander of the Second Battalion, was trying to not throw up. Most of his soldiers were probably doing the same in fact, no matter how many times they did it no one ever really git used to falling from space at such a high speed. He lifted his hand, with some difficulty in the high G-Force, to the radio on the side of his helmet. "All units, sound off." He let his hand fall mercifully to his lap, so that he didn't have to keep lifting it over his head. The sounds of his Battalion filled his ear. He had four company's under his command, 100 soldiers in each, divided into 4 platoons, including his. Each company commander would ask the same question he had, then relay that their company was ready. When all of them had sounded off, he lifted his hand to his ear again. "Alright. Our missions is to secure a drop zone in the New Carthage city of Constantinople, so that the SGT's can come in and secure a staging area, so that the Marines can be deployed. We will land in a loose formation, its likely we will take AA fire. Once we hit the ground, we will all fire flares. Mine will be blue, find mine and then everyone link up with me. Understood?"

4 voices all came over his radio, each stating that they understood the orders. He had to assume that they were relaying the plan to their own soldiers as well. He only hoped that the other Battalions in the First Brigade would complete their missions and disable the Anti Air sites around the city, so that the SGT's, and Marines who both used drop ships would be able to land safely. He lifted his hand again, and turned a little nob on the side of his radio unit. His HUD flashed over his helmets visor, displaying a map, the state of all his soldiers, and a camera that would wind around the top of his field of visions in a stripe, displaying everything around him in a 360 degree angle. In the top left was a clock, counting down until he reached the surface. It said 10 minutes. He activated his radio again, and said "10 minutes to contact!" $ voices sounded back, confirming that the commanders of his platoon understood.

As each minute passed by, he couldn't help but breath a little heavier. He was an elite soldier, but that didn't mean he couldn't feel fear. This was a serious war zone that he was entering, and weather he liked it or not people would probably die. He looked at his clock again. 8 minutes to contact. He reached out and adjusted his rifle, attached to the wall to his right. He made sure its ammunition counter was working, the sights were set right, and so on. He checked his clock again. 5 minutes to contact. He started checking his gear. He adjusted the straps of his flack jacket, making it more comfortable. He counted his magazines, readjusted the tightness of his shoulder cauldrons, his leg greaves. He checked the clock again, 1 minute to contact. Quickly he reached behind him, ans hit the little button that activated his Exo Skeleton, before reaching above his head and taking hold of a handle.

There was a thump, and Agni felt his entire drop pod jerk to the right. There was a second thump, but fainter. Suddenly, he heard the sound of bullets rattling the side of his drop pod. He looked at the clock, 30 seconds to contact. The pod jerked again as the chute was deployed. He felt the bod slow down, only just barely. He checked the clock, 10 seconds to contact. With his other hand, he grabbed hold of his rifle. He checked the clock. 5 seconds to contact. He looked at the picture of his wife that he had pinned to the side of his drop pod. The pod hit the ground with a massive crunch, that sounded like the bones of a giant breaking. The entire thing jerked about, and Patel could feel it tumbling along the ground. Drop pods weren't built to be comfortable, just to keep their occupant alive, and he was getting the full brunt of this reality. When it finally came to a rest, Patel was upside down. He reached out and pulled the lever that released the door, and watched as it popped outwards, a myriad of little explosives sending it flying. He quickly unbuckled himself from his seat, and fell out of the pod onto the ground with a thump.

Agni threw himself forward, resting in the trench along along the pavement that this pod had left. He scanned the area around him for a minute and a half, not moving, only searching. Above him he saw a few of the red flares from his Battalion shooting up into the air. He waited another minute before he stood up again, running back to his pod. He quickly took out his pack, which carried much of his equipment. He took out his pistol, which he quickly buckled to his leg, and his flare gun. He turned, and pointed it in the air, pulling the trigger and watching as the blue flare shot up into the air, joining in with the red from his battalion. Finally he took out the picture of his wife, and tucked it into a pocked in his flak jacket.

Patel quickly hefted his rifle, and ran for a nearby building. In the distance he could hear gunfire, but it didn't seem like anyone was coming for him yet. He kicked in the door, his Exo Skeleton smashing the door in two. Inside, he scanned the area, waiting for something to jump out at him. When nothing did, he jogged to a set of stair, running up to the second floor. He looked around again, waiting for something to jump out at him. There was nothing, but it was dark enough that he couldn't see very well. That was good though, if it was hard for him to see it would be hard for his enemy's to see him. He walked to the window, and set up a lonely outlook, waiting for his Battalion to link up with him so that they could complete their mission. In the distance he saw three more red flares shoot up into the air.

Massive landing crafts departed from the ships, and zoomed into the atmosphere. The ships landed in a flat plain, and unloaded various vehicles and weaponry. Troops marched out, and gathered together in charging formations. As artillery was being set up, transports rolled up with huge crates filled with rounds. The Emperor exited his personal shuttle, and swayed across to gave at the planet. Three soldiers pushed a round into an Artillery cannon, and the Emperor came forward on a Panzer. He jumped off, then nodded at an officer.

"Feuer!"

The cannons jumped back, and clouds of smoke settled over the men. A streak of fire raced into the sky, and the officer raised his hand, and the troopers loaded another round into the cannons.

Worker's 215th Expeditionary Force, 101st Shock Regiment
North Banks, Constantinople, New Carthage, April 6th, 2330

"Goliath, this is Specter 4-Actual, taking up a holding pattern in sector Sierra-Zulu 5-1-Niner. Be advised, Overlord is cut off from Orbital Drop, you'll be on your own for the time being, how copy?"

"Goliath Actual Copies, Specter." On the ground in the City of Constantinople, the first wave of troops had touched down in the city. It was a single Regiment, 2000 men, a small armour Company and a group of Dropships, VTOLs and Strikecraft. Commanding the ground force was a man by the name of Colonel Diego Aguilar, who was setting up shop in the north end of the city. It was a sprawling metropolis, divided in half by a long and deep river. The current was deceivingly fast, not something you could wade through, and to deep for any vehicle to drive through. To the west was the Achoz Ocean, to the east, fields leading into thick forests. The city itself was a dense urban jungle, with massive skyscrapers, many of which were burning, exuding a thick haze over the city. The city, having been divided by two, was relatively calm fighting wise. Free Hyperion Mercs had retreated across the river to the more densely populated southern sector, leaving the business district under control of the Callistian Worker's Army. The Free Hyperion forces had done what they could to block off southern access, blowing up bridges until only one remained.

Colonel Aguilar picked a rifle up off an ammo crate, placing a magazine in the ammo well, and pulling back the charging handle, "Is this everyone?"

"The 101st, sir. 71st was scrambled, landed somewhere to the east. They got fucked on the way down, survivors are head to secondary rallying points in the industrial district."

"Copy that. We don't have anymore time to wait for them. Ok comrades, listen up!" He tossed a holomap on an ammo crate before him, and a map of the city popped up before him as his men gathered around, "Hyperion Mercs have taken out every bridge leading south... they're trying to cut us off while they EVAC Civies. Now, I don't plan to let them have a second to breathe. There's still one bridge left, "St. George's Bridge, Objective Altar..." He waved a hand, and focused the map on a suspension bridge a few blocks from their location. The Tanks, 2nd Battalion, Dog Company and Fox Company are going to attack it, secure and hold it for secondary waves to push south. However, we have company. Air teams also picked up unidentified forces gathering several clicks out..." He paused, as the sound of Artillery interrupted him, "Diamond Company and Bull Company are to sweep the sector. Hostiles have dropped in, you make sure that they don't have time to rally." He picked up the holomap, slipping it into a breast pocket, "Sound good?"

"Sir yes sir!" The men roared with patriotic enthusiasm.

"Right, let's do this shit. Boys and girls we're Oscar fucking Mike!"

The Battalion and a complement of three companies rolled out towards the bridge, while an additional two companies of 500 men began to hunt down enemy drop troops. AA guns and aircraft hunted down pods that were still in the air, trying to minimize the numbers of enemy troops on the ground.

"Sir, we're taking heavy damage. Shields are on the verge of giving out, we can't keep this up much longer!"

"Dammit!" Admiral Carlos Menendez swore under his breath, trying to keep order of his quickly deteriorating fleet. He had formed a kind of ball of ships taking up a defensive stance, using there combined shielding to hold out, but it was not fairing well. Ships were falling at an alarming rate, heavy kinetic shells and nuclear weapons were taking their toll on the Callistian fleet. A cruiser was struck by and Artillery shell, and it's crews cries quickly faded to static over the radio as the ship began to drift off. The line was folding.

"Sir, Plasma Battery is Charged! Coming online now!"

"Fire!" Menendez ordered, and a bright flash burst across the ship's bow. A lance of hot plasma arced outwards, with enough energy to gut a small ship if it made contact. Using this initiative, Menendez gave a new order, "I want a attack wing to push through!"

A force of Battleships and Destroyers surged forward, following the plasma lance to hopefully punch a hole through the enemy line.

"Outlaw-1-1, this is Overwatch. Secondary hull breach on deck Epsilon-12, some 20 hostiles moving to the Hangar bay. We need you to intercept, over."

"Copy that." Captain Lastimosa spoke into his radio, ducking behind a wall in the midst of a firefight with a boarding party of the Ten Thousand. "Lt. Salazar, you heard them. Break off to Deck Epsilon-12, waste those bastards!"

"Copy that, sir!" The Lieutenant Javier Salazar grunted, pointing fingers at members of his team, "Break for the elevator on my mark! 3... 2... 1... mark!" He shouted, sprinting across a short stretch of hallway, sliding into an elevator. His platoon of 30 men was quick to follow, before he punched a deck number into a console. Soon, the elevator dropped, sliding along until it reached the affected deck. Somewhere out there, a team of droids was working their way towards the hangar, and Lt. Salazar could hear their guns working, "Right, split up and find them. Stay frosty." He said, checking his rifle before he sprinted off down the hall with his men behind him, slitting up into squads to find the threat.

El Generalissimus
Worker's 78th Civil Defense Force, 8th Battalion
Hestia, April 6th, 2330

A new kind of sirens blared over the Callistian Capital, Santa Dominica. The air raid was over, but the fires were not, and Emergency Responders were racing to the scene. Fire Engines and Ambulances surrounded the Industrial Zone of the City, with Civil Defense Troopers blocking of the streets and escorting civilians out of harms way. Another car was parked among the police cars, and armoured vehicles, a blue Bianchi "Columbia", the personal vehicle of El Generalissimus himself. He stood amidst the rubble of an arms factory, looking over the damage. The fires were out, but they still were pulling bodies from the rubble.

"We've got a live one!" A fireman screamed, and instantly a large group was surrounding a patch in the rubble, and Generalissimus Antonius joined them, pulling sheets of metal, rebar and concrete out of the way until they could reach the factory worker beneath. Antonius offered her a hand, pulling her free before handing her over to a team of waiting medics, before he sighed, wiping sweat from his brow. "Cassualties?" He asked, looking over to an SSG Commander who stood close by.

"Moderate, sir. We're still pulling bodies, but it could have been worse."

"Could have been better." El Generalissimus growled under his breath, "I will personally put a bullet through the skull of whoever did this..."

He looked up to see a squad of soldiers being escorted towards him. They were wounded, obviously shaken, but the young men were still strong and determined, and they made El Generalissimus proud, "El Generalissimus, these are the men who brought down the last craft." The SSG Commander anounced. Antonius Del Lobo smiled warmly, offering the young soldiers his hand to shake, "It is an honour, comrades. As long as we have men like you serving in our ranks, I know we will be unstoppable." He was met with a chorus of 'Thank You Comrade Generalissimus,' before the men were walked over to ambulance.

"What do you think, comrade commander, a medal to commemorate this day? The Order of Santa Dominica?"

"Sounds Excellent, Comrade Generalissimus, but we have some news." The Commander handed Antonius as telegram, the message sent by the Cyborgs and Sentient Machines. Reading through it, Antonius responded with a, "Hmm."

"Interesting," He said, "A couple good Samaritans offering their help, aye? Can we trust them?"

"With a grain of salt, Comrade Generalissimus..." The Commander said, and El Generalissimus shrugged.

"Well, let's not keep them waiting."

To whom it may concern,
My name is El Generalissimus Antonius Emeterio Del Lobo, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Callistos, and I must say thank you for you generosity and good will. I must say, that as we speak a fleet of our ships is taking heavy fire near the planet Hyperion-III, or New Carthage is it is called. I'm sure they would appreciate the assistance.
As for you offer, it is... interesting. We may evacuate our populace, should such thing become necessary, but for the time being large scale evacuation is unnecessary, though you offer is greatly appreciated. If you wish, we may send a small security force to meet with you on Abyssi to prepare in the event of an evacuation.

Thank you, Comrade.
