Trade deal between the Leonorian Federation and the Sovereign State of Stojam confirmed

Yesterday, the Chancellor of Leonoria, Katharina Polak, and the President of Stojam, Adrian Miroslav, had a last phone call regarding a trade deal between both nations that put this deal into effect. In a quick procedure, Leonoria-Vyšehrad and Velingrad decided on the following points:

• the noted Arms Manufacturing sectors of both nations will co-operate in the way of mutual technology exchange,
• Leonoria will form a new sales market for Stojamian technological devices,
• Stojam will form a new sales market for Leonorian cars and beverages,
• Leonoria will purchase Stojamian fossil resources,
• Leonoria will accept the Stojamian Nova Lev currency in unlimited amounts,
• Stojam will accept the Leonorian Koruna currency in unlimited amounts,
• traveling between both nations will be made remarkably easier.

Leonorian People unsatisfied with this agreement

While Leonorian government and economy promised themselves a real profit from this deal, the Leonorian People were visibly unsatisfied. In the morning, people in the capital of Leonoria-Vyšehrad started a demonstration on the Waldemar Eisner Plaza, showing posters with slogans like, "No Deal With Capitalist Scums!", "Is This Gonna Start Again?!" and "End This Mess Before It Ends YOU!" The LVPD, although recently heavily upgraded, seemed somehow overstrained with this situation. LVPD Police Chief Frank Harder eventually asked the people to calm down. In late noon, the people finally went off.

As the deal was struck with Leonoria, many people in Velingrad protested against the deal, with Activist leader Dominik Antonik, all the protestors had slogans like "DOWN WITH THE SOCIALIST SCUM!" and "THIS GLOBALISM WILL END US!" and also pictures of Adrian Miroslav shaking Katharina Polak's hand but she is aiming a gun towards him, the Vice President, Branimir Borisov has been trying to calm people as everything is fine.

A short time after the demonstration, Chancellor Katharina Polak received a call from Slavoj Jatek, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee, asking her to repeal the trade deal. In his opinion, it would not fit into the state's ideology. Polak replied that in her opinion, the deal was no "treason on the ideology" and that people should recognize that economic isolationism was unfitting into the current time.

Sophienstadt, Leonorian Federation

Another demonstration started in the city of Sophienstadt, which had just recently joined the nation. About a hundred protesters demanded the immediate termination of the deal. Leader of the protest, Friedhelm Echterding, gave a public speech saying, "this is NOT what we've been fighting for! Stop that questionable deal with the scumbags this nation has been ruled by for too long! We wanted freedom, peace, and stability! This is TREASON!" The police was able to end the protest very quickly and surprisingly peacefully.

Just one day after the riots in Leonoria-Vyšehrad and Sophienstadt, a part of a secret dossier got released. The document stated that, with the repeal of most entry restrictions between Leonoria and Stojam, several Stojamian spies managed to enter Leonorian territory and did espionage work for Stojam on Leonorian military institutions.

The Leonorian police forces managed to arrest three of the top spies in Leonoria. Within a long interrogation, Todor Stamenov, Dobromira Kovacheva and Mladen Ivanov admitted their intention to gain secret information about the Leonorian secret task forces as well as the military bases planned by the Federation of Ulan-Ata. They were supposed to report possible secret military operation plans to their clients in Stojam.

Koldingersiel, Seeland, Leonorian Federation

In the coastal city where the UAAF plans a new naval base, thousands of people were demonstrating again, mostly against the Leonorian-Stojamian deal. Their posters said paroles like, "No More Deal With The Class Enemy!" and "DEATH TO THE TRAITORS!"

Sankt Georgen, Oberneuland, Leonorian Federation

At the same time, riots went up in Sankt Georgen. Since Oberneuland had always been a stronghold of German-Leonorian nationalists, it was no wonder that the nationalist front started demonstrating in here. They demanded the full replacement of the socialist government ruling since the coup d'etat. Most of the rioters were obviously LNF veterans from the 1973 independence war.

While they were demonstrating, another counter-demonstration got organized by resident socialists - those who had started the socialist riots during the coup. The SGDP sent out their improved forces and managed to calm the situation down. Luckily they had been upgraded since the Autumn Uprising, where they had capitulated within an hour.

In the recently opened branch office of the Leonorian Associated Press in the former Milenian capital, documents were found in the post box stating that Mátyás Lengyel, former president of the MDR who had disappeared after the Milenian Blitz, obviously had received money from the Stojamian Secret Service to finance the war crimes committed to people in Leonoria, Milenia and the Janikora Islands in the December 2016 attacks.
The documents also revealed that the Stojamian Secret Service had helped Lengyel and his comrades escape from South Milenia and had planned to manipulate the referendums in South Milenia and Janikora-Poortland deciding to join the Leonorian Federation, which had failed (the people of both regions decided to join).
War survivors in Velikonja, Genibora (both in South Milenia) as well as the war-torn Krajina in the Leonorian mainland started rioting in the streets.

Meanwhile, news about France embargo angered President Dan and he soon decided to place an embargo too, and a little message saying France shoudl transition from a dictator like rules to a more liberal ones, like Kendor.

It surely was not in our interest in any kind that your allies break up with you. What the documents seem to have revealed, is a catastrophe, and some of our citizens are starting to blitz our cities again. We must do something."
