Prior to the current conflict, Azovskaya experienced a quick coup d'etat where NVRSKSO, a independent Azovskayan SOF, led the downfall of the previous administration governing the country. It was supported by many civilians who generally commented on how their former government had not done enough to make their country make a name for itself. They believed that NVRSKSO could lead the nation to greatness, such facades convinced the many of despair. Arizayi itself had secluded itself from the international stage, although nonetheless practiced questionable things others would find interesting. Shortly after the coup in Azovskaya the new regime had discovered & captured several Arizayian trade ships that had actually held information and data pertaining to a Arizayian-origin salted bomb. Several agents from nations, such as Alyria, successfully uncover the true purpose of those trade ships hidden from the public which would attract them to the upcoming conflict.
In an attempt to recapture and seize the trade ships that held highly classified information, the Arizayian government had sent a carrier naval group in order recapture the vessels. Following the events of October 21st and 22nd where an Azovskayan fighter jet was downed by supposed Arizayi jet fighters, tensions between the two northerly nations have escalated into full-scale warfare. In retaliation Azovskayan forces successfully sink the carrier itself due to several deficiencies from the CV & naval crew coupled with tactical and strategic advantages, causing the retreat of the rest of the Arizayian naval group. This allowed for Azovskaya to justify an invasion as extreme retaliation in return, hoping to capture the facilities that had held more data on the experimental weapon. In the case of Arizayi however, the country's western island, Elsaya, was being bombarded with land attack cruise missiles led by a Azovskayan naval group to destabilize the country both financially and militarily. It's expected to be followed by an ill-considered hastily amphibious invasion.
Although global efforts vary from assembling peace talks, to declaring neutrality, to funding a party, or becoming a belligerent themselves; the new Arizayian-Azovskayan conflict is clearly grasping the world's attention. For instance, countries: Targovia and Umbrellya have officially begun funding the Azovskayan military to create an edge. Whilst other countries, have tailored their support for Arizayi. Alyria itself had openly opposed an invasion as retaliation while supporting the sovereignty of Arizayi, promising to protect it at all costs while closely working with them. Meetings with both leaders between those countries have been quite secretive and mysterious as Alyria officially sent an surface action group in order to deter an invasion, stating that they will bring more force if necessary. Dormill and Stiura had announced it's intervention of the conflict by siding with Arizayi to protect their sovereignty and sending their Fourth Surface Strike Group as military force. Nations such as Vukmire and Engleberg have publicly sent lethal aid and military assistance in order to protect Azovskaya's territory while USJR has voiced it's opinion in deferring other nations from entering the Ophion continent to protect Azovskaya. Rezua has continued to support a diplomatic approach to the situation as many nations have geared to military procedures while nations like Aznazia, Rhodevus, Esotana and Minarchismusland has announced official neutrality toward the growing conflict.
It was uncertain whether the war was about the expansion of land, aggressive policies of an authoritarian regime, sovereignty of nations or the spread of a horrible weapon into the wrong hands. What was true though was that every nation participating had their own interests and goals in mind. - WMDs - I find that banning WMDs brings benefit in ensuring the wreck of a RP is not so easily hand-waved however I find it idiotic as it loses RPers the fear of the threat of utter annihilation and major loss due to their choice of involvement. The Use Of Them must have the consent of OP - Basically don't use them without permission
Notes
Since Azovskaya has allowed us to continue with the RP story and change the plot to whatever we please, I will be RPing as Arizayi and Azovskaya in their stead however I myself cannot run a whole RP alone so I will be looking for helpers and people who are willing to RP as those nations, if you do your help will highly be appreciated and it'd be a great service in providing more interactive RPs in Sunalaya.
