Harold announced loudly to the chamber, “Delegates, we pass the Commission Peacekeeping Order 001 with 7 ayes.”

After an aide passed a small note to Harold, he spoke to the Commission, "Delegates, I must announce the Supreme Commander of the Peacekeepers of the Cooperative Union who brings news on the most pressing matter on the conflict between Athara Magarat and San Montagna."

A tall, lithe man entered the room, his face thin and pointed and his nose protruding considerably into a sharp Romanesque bridge. His eyes did not falter as he stared dead on at the dais, his face betraying nothing but cool regard for the room. It was evident that the man was a career-soldier having lived his life with his back straight and his shoes glistening. Gracefully walking towards the dais, he held the room in silence before stopping abruptly in front on the dais.

The Supreme Commander spoke with a soft and calm tone, yet his voice was clear, "Good-day Honourable Delegates, as the Supreme Commander of the Peacekeepers of the Cooperative Union, I am to inform you of the progress of the contingent of peacekeepers in the nation of Ipland following the Commission Peacekeeping Order 001. Currently," he said this pointing to a map of the South Mesder, "the peacekeepers are in the Iplandic city of Sitsern and are conducting evacuation operations in areas not in conflict in Athara Magarat and are airdropping supplies to badly-affected areas around the country. With aid from several CU nations, we are setting up refugee camps in Athara Magarat. According to the Commanding Officer in Ipland, we have currently evacuated 826 people and are housing 1131 in the refugee camps as of today."

Surveying the room, the Supreme Commander turned to Harold who spoke to the Commission, "If there are inquiries to be made about the progress or projects being undertaken by the peacekeepers, let them be heard."

Entemont stood up and said, "Honourable Supreme Commander, have proper identification, quarantine and disinfection protocols regarding the Ticking Flu been taken within the refugee populations?"

Entemont scratched his nose and looked at his watch, wondering whether the mic had been cut.

"As the Supreme Commander gather his thoughts. I believe we move to discuss the CU'S role in rebuilding Myagdi. Is the delegate from Athara Magarat in a position to update this commission and his country's state of affairs and what is critically needed presently from the CU in our attempts to rescue a member state before we are faced with a crisis that may bear economic and Humanitarian crisis in nature" Expressed Gannica.

"My fellow delegates, after much consultation and deliberation, I present this repeal resolution for your consideration. Please consider amending it, for I believe many in this chamber would like to have their voice heard on this matter."

For the purposes of revoking the CU Trade Board, we the Nations of the Cooperative Union hereby declare to adhere to the following provisions:

§1 - Articles of Repealment:

1. The Resolution on the Functioning of the Cooperative Union, with all Articles, Sections, Clauses and Subclauses therein, shall be rendered null and void by the Cooperative Union.
2. All Records of the Resolution are to be located in a special file under "Repealed Resolutions" in the Cooperative Union Commission Archives.
3. All associated extra-legislative provisions are to be amended at the discretion of the CU Secretariat and Commission Dais.

§2 - Replacement Provisions (not to be included in the Treaty of Coventry):

1. Trade agreements between CU Member-States and non-Member-States shall not be prohibited by any CU body, though may be advised against by the appropriate body (see Clause B).
2. To ensure the quality of consumer products amongst CU Member-States, a CU Consumer Protection Board shall be instituted—
   1. The 15-member Board, comprised of appointees by Member-States based on an allocation system proportional to share of the CU GDP, shall be tasked with day-to-day management and deliberation.
   2. The CUCPB shall be charged with: producing a Commission-approved list of basic regulations regarding consumer products, and providing Member-States with the needed measures to adhere to their list's regulations.
   3. Should the CUCPB note that a Member-State have particularly lax consumer regulations that have been shown to pose a danger to consumer welfare, to the welfare of its consumers, they may file a formal complaint with the CU Commission Dais so it may be addressed.

"I have no objections to the proposal for repeal but I would like to know if this Commission will in the future create a comprehensive plan or regulation that determines how we trade as a unit with third countries of the region" Asked Gannica

“Nor do I have any objections. However, we hope that a more extensive document can be agreed on at a later date.”

Matthew piped up, “Noronica has no contentions on the matter.”

(OOC - I’m just going to skip this as I’ve been an idiot but we need to move on) - After the Supreme Commander finished his report on the matter and satisfied the Commission, Harold spoke up on the resolution, “It appears that many of the Commission are satisfied with the resolution but I will leave time for anyone else to comment.”
