Mrs Silvania turned on her mic to welcome the new member state.

"Welcome President Mcmurray. The CU is pleased to have another member state join among us as we move ever closer to a more integrated peaceful Isles. I am sure you are more than busy so your presence here is well appreciated, and I assume a permanent representative will arrive in due course. I will take the liberty and open up the discussion that will lead to our Union developing more to achieving the goals set out whence this Union was drafted. Representatives I believe that to create stronger linkages, I propose the Community establish its documents allowing free movements to member states. A Cooperative Passport. With this passport that will be granted to all citizens within the CU to move freely among its states. With the introduction of such passport, all national passports should discontinue for use of the CU own.

Harold frowned at the mention of the motion, "I and the Overlordship of Noronica gladly welcome the Federal Republic of Travencia to the Cooperative Union, we hope that you may provide new innovations to the Union and to be seen as a respected and trusted member of it."

He turned to Mrs. Silvania, "I would like to propose an alteration to your current proposal. Would it not be better to have member states print the Cooperative Union's badge on their passports while retaining their own design and function? This would mean that passports are easily discernable to other nations not in the Union, and it would allow each member state sovereignty over some of their own travel rights. The badge would then serve as an allowance for free movement around member states."

William Zhou glanced briefly at the delegate. "The Empire of Keomora is always welcome for any new nation to join our ranks."
He turned to Mrs. Silvana. "I agree with Harold. To replace all of our passports would be a nightmare. Furthermore all of us are dealing with increased terrorist threats, with SHOCK and the Legion of Dawn being at large."

Mrs. Silvania after having a quick introspection at her statements retracted and agreed with the Noronican Ambassador.

"I seem to have been hastily in my bringing up the recommendations. However, it was in mind when I and my delegation discussed the proposal. I will however retract such position and support the one expressed by the Noronican Ambassador. I believe we should move with haste to have this expressed. Though in practice we may have an open border policy but to have greater regulation and clarity of those coming in our borders, this move will be of great benefits, and as the Keomoran delegate express with issues of terrorism which Covonant is not immune to, this will benefit greatly. Likewise it will allow us to better contain any instance of refugees coming into member states most notably in Athara Magarat." Mrs. Silvania expressed.

a disheveled aid runs to the Travencian Delegation table, whispering some news to president McMurray. The aid runs back out, frantically...

We unanimously support a common passport and removal of travel barriers amongst member nations. My parliament is expected to vote on a series of bills that would leave some doors open for future integration of the union, most notably if things like a common currency, a common citizenship, and universal suffrage amongst member states citizens...

in an odd twist of Travencian Politics, the rival political parties are united in joining the union

Kyle Gurung was grateful to the other delegates. "Athara Magarat thanks her allies for taking into consideration the problems of refugees and terrorist activities faced by the nation and others in the Isles. We must all work together to achieve our shared goals."

Then he turned to the Travencian delegation. "We are pleased to have your presence in the CU as its newest member. Regrading the common currency and common citizenship and universal suffrage, I am sorry that we will not be supporting that...Not at the moment..."

Mrs Silvania after hearing the remarks from the Travencian representative was a bit shocked at the proposal suggested.

"I must express that it is in my honest opinion that I doubt the Cooperative Union will ever allow universal suffrage. Surely we would not expect Covonantians to vote alongside Athara Magaratis for matters concerning Athara Magaratis. With our approval for the establishing of Passports I believe common citizenship will not be necessary. All member states citizens are citizens of the Cooperative Union only while retaining their national citizenship. I believe in the future we can better discuss a common currency, which I would agree with for now, but if there is any findings that would indicate such policies being disastrous I believe this chamber should approach with caution." Expressed Mrs. Silvania.

Vice President Albano addresses the commission, "I too share your concerns with some of McMurray's over excited enthusiasm and significant disregard for national precedents. I think he had some tunnel vision of thinking of how CU wide elections for CU specific offices would go. I share the sentiment that it would be absurd for Iplanders to vote for Travencian issues and vice versa. You have to excuse my friend, McMurray, he's got the dreamers disease."

André Marques arrives in Covonant. The CU representative from Dragão do Mar were selected by a group of political allies of Lorenzo Santiago. He's a man from Messejana city and completed his higher education in the Meireles Academy. He saw in this mission the opportunity to represent his country and improve it international relations.

He arrived with his staff in the Cooperative Zone not knowing were to look first, all the place seems impressive to him. André get inside of the building and the entered slowly in the Commission Chamber, waiting to be received by other representative members of the Cooperative Union.

Trade minister Krill Von Shaucer proposes a CU trade summit to be held at a future date in the city of Travencia, part as a meet and greet of the newer nations and part as an attempt to further trade policies union wide. Topics would be focused on trade intergration within the union and exploring possibilities of a unified approach amongst third party non union members. An exploratory committee about a union currency might be proposed if interest allows

Olivia Hughes strolls down the runway, whilst airport officials gasp at the possibility of the air traffic control centre not diverting a plane about to land. She then boards the plane to Covonant. Her husband, Julian Hughes who is a retired journalist explains and fills her in on Covonant and the Cooperative Union.

They then land in Coventry, and a single limousine drives to the chamber. She then walks in and within ten minutes of arrival she signs the document which formally commences Ainslie’s membership in the Cooperative Union. She then begins to greet her fellow ambassadors.

Mrs. Silvania watching the new Ahnslen Ambassador take her seat, turned on her mic to welcome her into the Chambers of the CU.

I would like to welcome the new Ambassador to the CU from Ainslie. We are honoured that your nation has made the right choice to join this noble organisation to foster regionalism and prosperous economic connection

After welcoming the Ahnslen Ambassador Mrs. Silvania opened a new topic for the CU to explore.

I have been made aware that delegates from our member states are to convene in Travencia for the CU trade summit, and while they discuss matters of trade there, I believe it right for this Union to discuss new matters that are arising. With the Advent of the Covonantian Aeronautics Space Agency (CASA), and other member states space programme, I believe it is time for us to discuss a CU wide space programme in terms of how do we expect it to be developed, its motive, and the budget. I believe with our position as a powerful entity, we are more than able to position ourselves to be the leading unit in space technology and development.

Mrs. Silvania expressed after which she turned her mic off.

"From one come many, our weight together is strong. Together we could achieve goals that independently would be nearly impossible. How far into the unknown do we want to go?! what are the national ambitions that some of you and your space programs are looking for? One of mine would be an array of GPS satellites, telecommunications. Are we the kind of bloc that could come together and design, launch and operate a space station? Could we go as far as the moon? the planets? and beyond? Do we take the lead on the inevitable space race and run with it?"

Valdr Alexander Maxwell of Tectonix, finally getting clearance from Congress, took the podium to give his remarks.

"Greetings, esteemed delegates of the Cooperative Union. My name is Alexander Maxwell, Valdr of Tectonix and all its territories. I come here before you today not as a warlord, but as a diplomat and peacemaker." He reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper. "My Congress recently passed Resolution 86 B/7-C, formalising Tectonix's ratification of the Cooperative Union treaty and all its provisions. I am happy and grateful to inform of Tectonix's entrance into the Cooperative Union, and hope to assist all nation present here today to make the world a better place. Thank you."

He stepped down, wondering whether the delegates had noticed his slightly crooked handkerchief.
