Kingsmill closely followed the Parliamentarians speech, offering a puzzled expression too him when he talked about Ahnslen colonisation and independence. She muttered to herself, "Like that would be a problem, Keverai was independent years after and look at it now...". She wondered if something further was going on but pushed it to the back of her head as he kept on speaking.

She looked at the papers below her, which were given by the Informer-General of the Ahnslen Delegation to the CU. They were noticeably smaller than the other ones she got and she expressed a face of disappointment as she flicked through the pages. Once she finished reading she spoke up

"I am looking through my papers here and they don't reveal too much about the nation. Of course, we were the colonisers of the nation but now after 100 plus years of independence we don't have the same intelligence and research capabilities as we used to in yournation. This means we must ask further questions in order to test Eserai's compatibility with the CU as we do not know them as well as we used to, to be frank. Onto the first note of business, your media has stated that there were socialist protestors in your nation. What is the extent of the influence these protestors have on your government? Additionally, I'm assuming that your nation is in full compliance with all relevant documents, such as the Cooperative Papers?

Turning back to politics, what is the status of your ruling party? The Centrist Coalition, yes? Are they likely to win the next election... What is the general opinion of Eseraians to the government? How does your Duke interact with your legislature? As an advanced and developed nation of 6 million people, what measures has your government taken to accommodate the influx of tourists you will experience, and the heightened levels of immigration? Kingsmill was eager to test the enthusiasm of the Eseraian after he apparently seemed quite exhausted after the questions from the other delegates.

"The duke signs law proposals that are legal by the constitution and we are improving our airports, roads and boat docks to accommodate any influx of tourists and immigration." Goswell then closes the file binder and slips on water.

The voting session shall last for 24 hours or until we reach a 2/3 majority." Harold felt a little odd when speaking those words. He had been using the same sentences for a while now and really needed to do a lot more.

Entemont clapped respectfully, before ascending to the Dais again and saying, "Thank you, fellow delegates. Tectonix hopes to see Eserai as a strong building block of our great union, and I am pleased to see their admission go so smoothly."

At that, he took a sip of water and looked at the chamber aide who placed a freshly-engraved "Eserai" placard on one of the empty desks in the Commission. Continuing, he said, "However, we have one more nation to get to. Mr. Parliamentarian, I request a report of the admission."

The Parliamentarian announced, "The Republic of Cantonos submitted to an interview with the Admissions Director on the 14th of September, 2017. After a short discourse, the Admissions Director signed the appropriate Admissionary Writ of Certiorari, moving the Republic of Cantonos to Admission-Pending and moving their admission to the Commission."

On the notion of CU agencies finding their home in Cantonos, we are open to the idea. Cantonos is currently a regional leader in the financial services sector, thanks to our competitive tax system, low regulatory burden on businesses and our well-established infrastructure which has specialised the Cantonosian economy in this sector. This ranges from administration and management of funds; re-insurance; cross border insurance, asset management, stock trading and specialist finance. Cantonos would be happy to take a pro-active approach to host or cooperate with agencies pertaining to CU financial affairs.

As a democratic nation, membership of the CU would have to be approved by a popular plebiscite and by the legislature -- considering the magnitude of the decision. Would this be given consent by the Cantonosian people, ascension would be then approved by the Citizen's Assembly and ratified by the President. Anything else would be an affront to our democratic values.

Also I would like to take the liberty to make a formal request from my government to ask the CU to join Covonant in a joint sanction on the fascist regime of San Montagna. In recent days San Montagna has showcased an unwillingness to cooperate with the international community to respect and uphold human rights and to take a more pragmatic role in how it handles its issues of combating terrorism. Covonant views the illegitimate government of San Montagna ruled with an iron fist by the leader Benito who after having his country gaining sanctioned by Covonant in turn went to sanction Covonant. Covonant has no qualms over certain sanctions made towards us but some of the sanctions are provocative in nature and have the potential of leading both states to conflict. Covonant wants peace to reign and believes a collective sanction towards San Montagna will be enough to cripple the state economically and to force the illegitimate government to see the errors of their ways. Just to make a quick and rather obvious legal statement regarding this topic, the joint imposing of sanctions is done via individual nation compulsion by a CU resolution, not the CU itself. This is pretty obvious, but just for any nations that wish to impose sanctions in the future, that should be taken into consideration when it comes to specific legal wording."
