"I will take the liberty of welcoming our newest member to the CU from Samudera. We hope your membership will contribute to the overall goal and success of the Union and provide everlasting peace and cooperation in the Western Isles."

After welcoming the Samuderan Ambassador, Mrs. Silvania went on to deliberate more on the Resolution being tabled.

"Honourable delegates I have went ahead and updated the proposed resolution to reflect the concerns and opinions raised. The changes made can be found in articles 32 section d. Is there anymore concern anyone wish to raise before we move to vote on the resolution"

Ambassador Entemont was certainly puzzled, dumbfounded by the Veronite ambassador's words. Vote by acclamation...now that's a first.

Regardless, Entemont stated, "Second," for no objections had been voiced.

"Objection! We do not believe it is right for an outgoing administration to be rushing such a resolution through the commission that would find no warmth with the incoming administration. We propose for this resolution to be paused until the new administration assumes office, and then let the voting begin."

Entemont's eye twitched with annoyance at the delegate. "You wish for this Commission to be hampered by the likes of the incoming administration, honourable delegate? If that's the case, say it in your vote."

"Under the Standing Rules, Madam Chairwoman, with a second and objection, the motion to call the previous question should now be put under consideration."

There's got to be a better way for Section 32 part D. Full suspension of third party trade could have disastrous consequences among member state economic stability and health. Ideally we should permit things to continue as they were while formalizing a unified approach for third party trade with ample time for member states to conform to said approach....

Some third party state status's may have to be grandfathered due to a monopoly of technology and/or skill. A prime example would be the Ostehaar's Energy Company and its utilitarian uses in many member states...

It may be best to word section 32 part D to be clear about a three month suspension of NEW trade agreements, enabling OLD trade agreements to stand...

It might be worth discussing the idea of enabling equal trade relations and rights among similar economic blocs, this is something I'm having in mind regarding a semi-partnership with the G4 bloc. I would like to here Ainslie's opinion on the matter, as a nation involved with both.

Would the G4 be open to utilizing the CU trade bloc as a secondary preference shall the goods/services in question not be offered domestically within the G4? and would the CU be willing to place the G4 in a category of primary secondary trading partners [ie: similar in effect to the previous idea, if something isn't available within the CU we look to the G4 first]

I will have the resolution updated to reflect the opinions raised by the Travencian delegate. "The consideration of the question has been objected to: Will the Commission consider it?. A 2/3 majority decision will be applied.

Noting this is not a motion to vote on a proposal or resolution, I am in the right to exercise vote in this instance. I vote Nay to consider the objection.

"Point of order, Madam Chairwoman. The commission does not need to vote upon the consideration of the question if it has acquired a second, regardless of the status of the objection. There is no precedent for this, nor is it stipulated in the Standing Rules."

The Commission will move to vote on the resolution at hand. Voting will last for no more than 48 hours or until a 2/3 majority has been reached. Or whichever comes first.

"Noronica votes..." Harold paused, he was concerned by some of the clauses within the resolution but his superiors had informed him that this was the best course of action for union-wide stability and for Noronnican trade. Sighing, he spoke again, his voice unwavering, "Noronica votes Aye."

Dr. Hekima Kiyoko of the Cooperative Union Aerospace Council made her way into the chamber, her flowing white dress catching the light drifting down from the skylights above. The serjeant-at-arms gave her a pausing look, nbut she pulled out her ID card and made sure he got a good look before continuing her walk. Smiling at the assembled delegates, she positioned herself at the podium in the well of the chamber and stated—

"Greetings, honourable delegates of the Cooperative Union Commission. I am here to report that the COMMSAT-1 satellite will be launching tomorrow, and whether you would like to make any statements with regards to this momentous occasion."
