The Crown Reigns Supreme: Independent Crown called to be victorious in tomorrow's referendum

Proposed new crown for the Islands

With the plebiscite scheduled for tomorrow, preliminary polls predict that the option for full, formal independence from the Celibrean Crown is expected to win, with Celibrean sympathy mostly in the Southern islands and a stronger desire for an independent monarchy in the north.
"With either option, our Celibrean bretheren shall always be close to us, in a partnership of islands. We will be here for them, as they have, and will be, there for us." the Prince, prospective King, said in a statement Friday.

If the option for an independent Crown is chosen, a series of festivities will commence.

Full independence wins at Referendum

Educan Chamber of Consuls

Today, as expected, the Educan people chose the option to have their monarch split from the Celitannian crown to form their own hereditary monarchy.
In Port-of-Merchants, flags were flown and people chanted "long live the king!" in celebration of the referendum.
"Myself and the rest of the government is glad this is being done," Secretary of the State, Charles Baker said in an offical statement. "We are going to enter into negotiations with the Celitannian government about matters involving the military and the coronation of the Prince, but we're very excited for the new future."
His Majesty was unable for comment, as he was sailing for most of the day.

Trochev Surrenders!

Today, the Loyalist high command turned against Trochev and forced him to sue for peace. Trochev officially signed an agreement with the Military forces turning over control of the remaining loyalist territory and military personnel to the FKG (Military).
For now that is all that has been agreed upon, formal and final agreements are to be held at a later date to discuss the future of Grothbord.

Trochev is currently under house arrest in the capitol guarded by the Military.

Political turmoil in Thynia!

Today, in front of the XXI Congress of the Socialist Unity Front of Thrace, comrade Nicolae Kiseleff, President of the Thracian Democratic Republic, General Secretary of the Thracian Socialist Unity Front, Chairman of the Politburo of the Thracian Socialist Union Party, Chariman of the Great National Defense Committee of the Thracian Democratic Republic, Supreme Commander of the Thracian Red People's Armed Forces, Great Leader of the Thracian People's Struggle, The Father of the People, the First Son of the Nation, the Genius of the Istrio, declared his intention to resign. The 95 year old leader of the nations known as Thynia, or officially, the Thracian Democratic Republic, has explained in his speech that he is now old, and that the time has come for the young generations to take over. After a few good minutes of cheering, the Congress then proceeded to vote Michael Kiseleff as the new General Secretary of the Thracian Socialist Unity Front. The son of Nicolae Kiseleff then had a speech of his own, in which he described his desire to turn Thynia into an even bigger power, through an ambitious set of reforms. With the day's end, the Congress decided to postpone the rest of the meeting for tomorrow morning, where the discussions about the preparations for the next "elections" are going to be held. Despite how sudden this change of power is, not many people were surprised. It was already expected that Michael was going to inherit his father's powers after his resignation. A young and popular party commissar, Michael Kiseleff was schooled in the West, and many people believe that his reign might begin an era of liberalization in this strict, Auroran dictatorship.

Not everyone agreed to it though. Through the night, various reports were sent to Cadentigrad, including some about weird moves from units of the Thynian military. When the citizens of Thynia's capital woke up in the morning, they soon realized that some of the city's main streets were blocked by tanks and by soldiers. An armored unit was sent to the House of the Republic, surrounding it. It soon became obvious that a coup attempt was happening.

At 09:00, a press conference was announced. A declaration was aired on the Thynian National Television. Eight officials, from the Thynian military and administration announced a state of emergency throughout Thynia. In order to protect the Republic's freedom and independence, they declared the formation of the State Committee of the State of Emergency. The Committee refused to acknowledge the vote of the Congress and the position of Michael Kiseleff as the as the General Secretary of the Socialist Unity Front. They also declared that due to comrade Nicolae Kiseleff's resignation, the position of the President of the Thracian Democratic Republic was presently unoccupied. As such, the state was in danger. The Committee's members accused Michael Kiseleff of being a tool of foreign interests which want to destabilize Thynia and to destroy the Republic. They declared that Michael Kiseleff has to be arrested, and they asked for the support of the people. A few hours later, multiple military units were sent to the capital.

A few hours later, the local Cadentigrad Television aired a speech made by comrade Michael Kiseleff, the General Secretary of the Socialist Unity Front. Comrade Kiseleff denounced the State Committee of the State of Emergency as nothing more than a coup attempt, formed by enemies of the state. With a lot more charisma and confidence than the members of the coup, comrade Kiseleff declared that the Thracian Democratic Republic will act swiftly against any enemies of the Republic. Through his authority as General Secretary, comrade Kiseleff declared all the decisions of the Committee to be null and void. In his declaration, the General Secretary announced that all the members of the coup have to be arrested, and that everyone supporting them is a traitor of the Democratic Republic.
In the afternoon, reports came in that the armored unit surrounding the House of the Republic switched sides, pledging his loyalty to the General Secretary. Many citizens have started to arrive around the large palace in the center of Cadentigrad, forming barricades, ready to defend their leader.

TERRORIST ATTACK IN MALLASKA

The Mallaskan Parliament burns after an unknown group committed one of the most horrific acts of violence in decades.

At 0942 this morning, while many politicians were just arriving to work, a bomb was detonated by an as-yet unknown group. Thought to be in retaliation to actions taken by Mallaskan Marines during the Grothbord civil war, current statistics from the attack paint a very dark picture. Current numbers suggest 46 dead, with possibly hundreds missing and injured.

Several smaller but concurrent terrorist attacks have taken place across the nation, with bombs being detonated in courthouses and the likes.

Citing that the current political and civil atmosphere in Mallaska poses a threat not just to itself, but to the other NorCon states as well, the NorCon Security Council has agreed to an emergency supplement to Mallaskan forces, with the possibility of putting in place a temporary government while the current one regains it's balance.

Daihan Warns 'Deterrent Strikes' against Zhenia: Threatens Ballistic Missile Strikes around Chenhai Waters

A MD-04 ICBM from the Daihanese missile launches carried out last month, amid the Haidong Crisis.

Amid tensions throughout the Haidong Territories and vicinity, President Kim Shimin of the Republic of Daihan, on his governmental announcement in the Blue House in Ariul, openly warned of a series of ballistic missile attacks against Zhenia if it does not back down and consent to its demands regarding the now-disputed Haidong Territories to the northeast of Zhenia. During the announcement, which was broadcasted worldwide, he had also given details regarding how the attack will be conducted and further demands to the Zhenian Government regarding the relations between the two nations.

"For too long, we have remained silent amid the existence of Zhenia," President Kim Shimin said during his announcement at the Blue House. "With the power of the Republic, Daihan will teach Zhenia a lesson: a lesson for the sovereignty of a nation and what a nation can do when its sovereignty and territorial rights are threatened. We will show Zhenia the fury of Daihan, as seen never before, to teach it a lesson. We shall bring Zhenians away from their will to wield their weapons and onto the Daihanese table of negotiation."

Regarding the details of the attack, the President added: "Of course, this 'lesson' will most likely not involve many deaths, since it is our first warning. A series of ballistic missiles will be fired towards the Bay of Chenhai, meeting targets around 50 kilometers east of the water boundaries of Zhenia. Although this will not be a direct attack on Zhenian territory, it will be enough to demonstrate that Daihan is not a nation Zhenia can mess with. And of course, if retaliation comes from the Zhenian Government, it is inevitable that Daihan will respond, possibly with our nuclear arsenal and other weapons of mass destruction."

In response to such announcement, the Zhenian Government, most notably the Department of Defense, has decreed that the Greater Eastern Union Defense Forces will "use all assets and means possible to deter eliminate and, should the need arise, intercept the threat and retaliate", while raising the DEFCON level from the previous Level 4 to Level 3. Premier Liu Quan opened the National Security Council to discuss military retaliations against Daihan, while rumors have claimed for a nuclear option involving tactical nuclear weapons being considered. Turning to the populace, with an exception of a few left-wing organizations, most Zhenian citizens called for war, which was made clear as an estimated total of 7.6 million Zhenian citizens in major cities came out to the streets and called for war against Daihan today.

Coronation of Educan King scheduled for Friday

Old Port-of-Merchants Assembly Palace

The Coronarion of the new King of the Isles of Educandi will be happening on Friday, sources from the Palace said in a press release today. The event will comprise of a parade leading to the old Port-of-Merchants Assembly Palace, where Anton Uxbridge will be crowned as Anton the First, King of the Isles. His Majesty's Government has invited the several heads of state from Aurora, as well as the New World and Atlantica, or their representatives to the coronation, and every Peer will be able to reserve a seat. People from all over the world will be able to watch from their televisions as the newest Royal House is formed.

The schedule of the day will be:
-Arrival of the Peers, Foreign Dignitaries,
Followed by:
-Parade, comrpising of the arrival of the crown jewels, and then the king, preceded by his guard regiments

The Coronation will preced as such:
-Bringing in and blessing of the Sword of State, the Collar of the Isles, and Royal Scepter, Orb, and finnally the Crown.
-The King's Procession into the Chamber
-Coronation Oath
-Crowning of his Majesty the King

Then a military procession of the new King will bring him from the Assembly Palace, to the Royal Harbor where an inspection of the troops and and Navy will occur with her Majesty the Queen of Celibrae. The foreign dignataries are invited to acommpany their Majesties to the inspection. A state dinner shall follow.

After great destruction and unending negotiations, the Grothbordian Civil War has finally officially ended after an agreement between the AC,
NorCon and the two main factions left in Grothbord. Here was the agreement,

-The military faction takes full control of Grothbord
-Kathic separatist territory will have Human rights observers for 10 years in order to ensure their safety
-Grothbord will become an observer state in the AC
-Grothbord will hold elections by the end of September
-One military base is to be leased to NorCon in a northern part of the country and can be removed at any time by the sitting Chancellor.
-Two military bases are to be given permanently to the AC in locations of their choice, and can only be removed by a vote in the AC.
-Grothbord will be allowed to maintain strong military relations and relevant economic relations with NorCon
-Revter Trochev is not to be tried for his crimes by an international court.
-The AC will have observers during the election

Revter Trochev is expected to face trial, and most likely execution by September 27th. General Tetsch will remain as interim Chancellor until the elections go through. The war claimed over 150k civillian lives and around 456k military casualties. Tetsch vowed to maintain Grothbord a military power even after this great loss.

Trochev Escapes!

This morning Revter Trochev escaped his prison home during what seemed to be a coordinated raid to free Trochev from his captors. Reports from surviving guards say that a team of unmarked soldiers arrived at night and killed the perimeter guards without setting off an alarm and continued on to surround the house. Trochev reportedly killed a three of his guards with an improvised knife and two by strangling them to death, according to a witness that was pretending to be dead. Trochev was rescued by the unknown soldiers and his whereabouts are currently unknown, but rumors speculate that he's either still in the country or in the mountains of Kathia.

Chancellor Tetsch has requested of any world leaders and his citizens to report any sightings of Trochev or report any information on him.
For now the government has put a fifty million dollar bounty for him to be brought back alive.

Today Pro-Trochev terrorist under the name of "Grothbord Rising", has attacked the Heldenkongress of Grothbord in the capitol. Killing multiple legislators and other minor personnel. About a force of fifty militants stormed the building after swiftly killing the perimeter guard. So far only four militants are confirmed dead, the rest got away leaving behind an unreported amount of dead legislators. However possibly even worse, there are rumors they were able to kill Wilhelm Testch, the Chancellor of Grothbord, rumors started to circulate after the President was the first to address the nation and there has been no sight of the Chancellor.

Revter Trochev current whereabouts are unknown, rumors that he left Kathia last week have not been confirmed.

Zhenia and Daihan Agree Upon Truce: Disputed Territories to Return to 'Pre-War Conditions'

Zhenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Zen Purwati and Daihanese Prime Minister Yoon-seok Oh towards the end of the truce.

The Zhenian and Daihan Governments, after a two-month long military standstill regarding the Haidong Territories, have come to an agreement to cease conflicts and let the Haidong Territories return to 'pre-war status' starting 0900 UTC, October 15th. The respective governments have consented to stop military actions upon the action of the new truce and withdraw 'unnecessary combat assets around the Haidong Territories from both parties', basically returning the military tension levels back to pre-conflict status.

In addition, the two governments have also planned for a more formal summit among the foreign ministers to further discuss issues regarding the Haidong Territories, while hinting that the next summit will "hopefully bring a permanent solution in regards to the status of the Haidong Territories between the two nations", as Minister Purwati had stated. The next summit is expected to take place in Bakhan around November, to decide on the fate of the Haidong Territories and further peace between Zhenia and Daihan.

Dear Leader and Guide of the Great People's Revolution of Zimbaya, Zakaria Tahir has reportedly fallen ill. With what remains to be seen. Rumors from from all they way up to Tahir's inner circle have for the past few years speculated some form of cancer, however Tahir quickly suppressed any incling of illness with large public appearences. Since 2015, Tahir has been seen less in public, while his Deputy Revolutionary Brother, Muhammed Al-Takir has effectivly taken the reigns from Tahir.

Tahir has led Zimbaya since 1970 and against the communist Democratic Republic of Zimbaya until it was unified under his government in 1995. Zimbaya has, since 2004, grown more distant of the west as more and more westerners criticize Zimbaya's lack of civil rights. It remains to be seen who will take over if Tahir dies, and if he does, what will happen.

Tahir Passes After Long Battle with Cancer

At around 5 pm today on November 16, 2017, Zimbayan authorities reported that long time leader Zakaria Tahir had passed away after a long 2 year battle with prostate cancer. "He will be dearly missed in all Zimbayan hearts and minds" said Samid Al-Abduk, a clerk at a local grocery store. While it is not clear who will succeed Tahir, there are candidates including Muhammed Al-Takir, Deputy Revolutionary Brother, and Nahurllah Bin-Taraki, Finance Minister. For many around the capital region, it is a day of sadness and sorrow as the "great and long time leader" passes on, but for many, particulalry those from the former Democratic Republic of Zimbaya in the east, it is a day of joy. Many still see him as an oppressor. Many thought that they would restore democracy, but Tahir only tightned his grip for another 2 decades on Zimbaya.

Growing separatism in the east has steadily grown as Tahir's public appearances declined. In fact, it is said that as many as 45% would support a new Democratic Republic of Zimbaya today. Along with this, many want to see a full democracy restored to the nation, as seen when it was in the latter half of Kathic Rule. Under Kathic Rule, there was a National Assembly and Senate much like that of Kathia and many modern democracies.
However for nearly 4 decades Zimbaya was polarized by Communism and Tahir's Government. Before 1993, Zimbaya was credited with having a semi-democratic government. Defore 1993, there were some 1,500 urban wards wherein elected officals were sent to the Local Governants (of which there were 375) to vote on resolutions. However, in 1993, in an effort to further advance the annexation of the Democratic Republic of Zimbaya. Then Palace was suspended, then in late 1995, was completely disbanded along with the urban wards.

Since 1996, Zimbaya, once closely aligned with the West, slowly drifted into isolation. Since then, western nations have grown critical of Tahir and his power over Zimbaya. This heightned when in 2007 2 Floresian tourists were detained for 2 months in a Zimbayan jail. Soon after, Zimbayan tourism declined from a high of 5 million in 2005 to only 230,000 in 2008.

Whilst criticized by many in the later years of his rule, it is safe to say that Zakaria Tahir will be missed on the international stage. He brought Zimbaya from essential poverty after the Zimbaya war and divide during the Cold War to a prosperous nation.

To commemorate one of the most important holidays of the nation, the 248th Federation Day is to be celebrated throughout all of Zhenia and in many oversea Zhenian communities, including a military parade through from Chenhai's Zhongwu Square to Li Zichuan Memorial. International leaders, including those from Zhenian allies and Triumvirate members, have been invited to observe the Federation Day parades.

Federation Day commemorates the day when the Federation of South Zhenia, the direct predecessor of the Greater Eastern Union today, was declared in 1770, symbolizing the first time in which nations of southern Zhenia and modern-day Nanming established a federal republic under the ideas of liberal democracy. Although not celebrated as much as National Day on June 4th, Federation Day remains as one of the most important days that form the fundamental of the Greater Eastern Union, as the Constitution states. Celebrated with fireworks, family reunions, sport events and concerts by the populace, it has been most notable for the military parades - one of the two annual military parades of the nation, the other being the National Day celebrations.

Democratic Republic of Zimbaya Proclaimed in the North East of Zimbaya

Today around noon, the Democratic Republic of Zimbaya was again proclaimed a state in the north east of Zimbaya. The first Democratic Republic of Zimbaya existed from 1967 to 1995. However, support had always remained strong in the Northeastern parts of the country. "Today is a great day in the history of Zimbaya! No longer are we oppresed by a tyrant! Today the people of this great nation can free themselves from this oppressive system!" proclaimed Ali Nurhallah Salem, who has been in hiding for nearly 2 decades now in Grothbord. He returned last night bording a ship in Moniteau, in the Kathic Province of Caliszeau making his way to Valentia and finally Al-Burz, Zimbaya. He called upon all Zimbayans to support his newly formed government, a self proclaimed Communist state similar to the old Democratic Republic of Zimbaya. This proclamation was neither started with protests nor fierce anti-separatism. While Eastern Separatism had existed, it was neither actively sought for nor protested for out of fear of repercussion. However with the death of Zakaria Tahir, fear has been all but eliminated from those who did not like his system and now seem more vocal to speak out against it and actively push for whatever form of government they wish (providing it has support).

While the Northeast seems ardent in forming a Second Communist State, it seems that in varying parts, other people have different ideas about Zimbaya's future. Zakaria Tahir never named a direct successor, and refuesed to do so after his original successor, Muhammad Bin-Takir died in a plane crash in 2002. The aging Tahir was said by some to be irrational and could "not be convinced to do anything he didn't want to" a former official once said in 2011. Growing call for a return to democracy the nation once had prior to 1996 grew post-2007 after the Zimbai Protests were stopped. Cities like Bergiz, once divided by the DRZ and Tahir Zimbaya,
have seen a resurgence in support for a Democratic Government. As seen last night where a small number of protestors took to the streets. It remains to be seen how much Zimbaya will shatter, and how long this will last

Today the Chamber of Consuls voted in favor of applying to the Auroran Community, splitting the Conservative Union down lines demarcating the factions around the Secretary of the State, Karls Baker, and the Lord-Minister of State, Cornelius Chanderbuilt. When combined with the Liberal Unions numbers, Baker's faction won out, officially sending the message to the world: Educandi is closer to consoladation with a power bloc, but still very much unaligned, and whom it sides with is still up in the air as the newly independent nation waits with baited breath for Aurora's responce.

"The biggest problem is the issue of the military," explains a political expert. "New Educani's military is still very heavily based upon Celitannia, who's relation with Aurora is loose. Nations like Thrace or Ichoria might object at that, at which point all Educandi will have left is either to rely even more heavilly upon Celibrae, or turn again to the NORCON, giving either of those more sway in the mouth of the Auroran Sea- something Thrace and Ichoria will not stand for."

Zimbaya Splinters into Three Governments

Rebels Supporting the New Bergiz-based Republic of Zimbaya

In another dramatic turn of events, a large swath of land has been declared as the new Republic of Zimbaya. They claim to want to set up a new, democratic, representative democracy. They proclaimed Ikram Al-Amin as their new President. "In today's political climate, Zimbaya's old system was outdated, it isolated us, it made us poor. The people want democracy. It is time for them to have a breath of freedom." said Al-Amin. A large portion of the Zimbayan Army, which has for years been said the be splintered between loyal supporters and those who dissaprove of the current system, brok off and joined the Republican Forces in what is now called the "Free Democratic Army of Zimbaya" or FDAZ. Aprroxamatly 100-250,000 people are now fighting for the FDAZ against a force of up to 200,000 for the Zimbayan Democratic Jamahiriya.

Government Announces Euria 2030 Project

The Infinity Tower will be a symbol of the rapid modernization of Euria.

Today President Nickolas Arcilla IV announced the project that he hopes will define his presidency, the Euria 2030 Project. The main aim of the project is to change the economy to a a technology centered one and use the continually growing workforce as a propeller for growth. However, the project will be heavily reliant on money that the government does not have to keep it going.

Under the project the government would pump money into creating 580,000 more university places and creating many vocational courses for those who do not know any sort of trade. They hope that this will attract more businesses into Euria to make use of the highly skilled workforce. The government would also provide funding towards many new infrastructure projects such as the Infinity Tower which would a symbol of the nations path towards alleviating poverty and creating a prosperous economic situation. Another major infrastructure project would be a new railway system on the island of Silanga to replace the extremely old current system built by the Thracians in the late 1800s.

However, the project has a fair share of critics in the national legislature due to the massive cost the nation would incur. "This project would cost more money than our national GDP for the 2017 financial year. That is absolutely f*cking crazy. This shows just how unfit for office our President is when he plans to burden the future generations of this nation with unbearable debt that would send us back centuries rather than 'propel us into the future' as he says he wants to" said Senator Ovidio Labrador II.

Mallaskan Premier Voronkov declares Santa Claus to be real and resides in Mallaska

Mallaskan Premier Voronkov in a timely statement for Christmas has made claim that long-beloved public figure Santa Claus, or Father Frost in Mallaskan tongue, has recognized that Santa Claus is real. The statement drew great cheer among the nations children in preparation for celebrating Frostfall, the nations largest winter holiday where gifts are exchanged and large public festivals are held. Father Frost is a central figure of this holiday, known for giving copious gifts to well-behaved children in the nation and leaving a bottle of whisky on the porch for the parents traditionally. Much debate has been held over the actual existence of this figure, with the Mallaskan government declining to acknowledge Father Frost's actual existence until now.

The Premier made the declaration after the now-recovered Parliament has gone into its two-week Winter Break, as its last act recognizing Father Frost as a public figure and national hero. During the official government Holiday Festival the Premier even had Father Frost in attendance, whom mingled with the children and distributed gifts and alcohol to all. Premier Voronkov also stated the declaration being one showing that the Mallaskan Parliament is fully operational following the deadly terror attack earlier in the year.

The statement has brought small controversy from some, saying that the government recognizing Father Frost is a waste of taxpayer money and a breach of the impartiality of the government to other cultures, however Premier Voronkov has dismissed these claims saying that "The nation's culture mustn't be allowed to falter, and we as the government must do all within our power to promote our culture, including paying homage to our most beloved public figure."

Official Statement of the Auroran Commission

Today, after a joint meeting of the Auroran Commission, of the Auroran Cabinet and of the Auroran Council, and after a vote of the Auroran Assembly, a meeting which lasted for more than 12 hours, the President of the Auroran Commission has officially declared that the Auroran Community has accepted the Kingdom of New Educandi's application to join it. During their meeting, the competent institutions of the AC have decided that New Educandi meets the requirements in order to become a member of the Community, as it respects the principles of liberty, democracy, human rights and the fundamental freedoms of any human being, and the rule of law. New Educandi was declared compliant with the so called Azhara criteria by the Commission without any opposition.

With an unanimous vote, the Auroran Council has declared that membership negotiations with New Educandi will begin soon, and that an association agreement will be signed as soon as possible. The Commission and the government of New Educandi will examine its laws and those of the AC and determine what differences exist. Negotiations will then be held in order to establish if NE is compatible with the Community's laws and regulations. Once the negotiations will be over, it is expected that the institutions of the Community, its member states and New Educandi will sign a full treaty of ascension.

The Auroran Community and its member states were among the first to recognize the independence of New Educandi, and relations between NE and the AC member states have been cordial ever since. Due to the special situation in which Educandi is, the Auroran Community is expected to accelerate its normal enlargement process, with the full accord of its member states. If the treaty of ascension will be signed, New Educandi will become a full member of the Community, with all the benefits contained by the membership status.

NorCon to Train Gatistan Military, etc.

Desiring to increase international stability and preparedness, the Military Press Office of Gatistan has announced that Gatiton soldiers will be taking part in extensive cross-training with Northern Confederation forces, culminating in their participation in Exercise Smoldering Ice 1801 and Exercise Frozen Inferno 1802.

Gatistan's military has, for much of its existence, been under-funded and poorly trained due to its lack of foreign investment. Gatistan has become more willing to interact with the Northern Confederation in the past 10 years, partially because the AGG is heading towards a more globally-involved role in distributing its remaining natural gas reserves before it becomes primarily solar and wind-driven within the next few decades. It is not publicly known if fuel transactions were involved in the planning for the joint exercise.

The Military Press Office of Gatistan did not comment on what relation this training has to the states of Qdaiadin and Zhenia, as the exercise took place in the Moritor Prime Confederation, the primarily military-inhabited mountainous region in the country's far northeastern corner. The Moritor Prime Confederation is the only confederation within Gatistan that includes the military apparatus of the Black Army within its political structure, as it was carved out of the Moritor Confederation to its south to act as a buffer region between it and the hostile state of Qdaiadin.

55th Anniversary of the Completion of the Vladimir Akulov Dam

Governmental officials of the Greater Eastern Union, including Premier Liu Cheng-Min, were present today in the Vladimir Akulov Dam for the 55th Anniversary of its completion, dating back to today in 1962. Premier Liu Cheng-Min, calling the construction of the Vladimir Akulov Dam "a national feat", praised the efforts of the workers involved in the construction of the dam today, praising them as "national heroes who gave what they had to rebuild and bring progress to the northwest and Zhenia as a whole".

The Vladimir Akulov Dam, originally named the Taiqihar Canyon Dam, was one of the largest components of the Northwestern Industrialization Project, first initiated by Premier Vladimir Akulov in 1954, as a part of the Ten-Year Economic Recovery Program initiated during the Third Republic. Initiating construction in 1956, it was completed six years later on this day in 1962, being one of the largest construction projects of the nation at the time. Its completion, providing an adequate supply of water for irrigation and industrial development, became a major engine in the development of Zhenia's northwestern region, particularly the Xinmen Metropolitan Area. It was renamed after Premier Vladimir Akulov in 1987, more than a decade after his death. Today, it remains the second-largest hydroelectric dam in the nation, providing water and hydroelectric power in the northwestern region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade did not comment on any input from the Government of Gatistan, the state directly to the northwest linked to the River Gatito. Since its construction was announced, the state of Gatito has rather been in opposition in regards to the existence of the dam and has threatened military conflict during its construction in the 1950s, although such tensions have subsided as of late.

Today Premier Veljko Мaužević, Chairmen the People's Democratic Party of The Federal Republic of Socialist Raska has weighed into the crisis in Thynia (TDR) and declared the nation's official support for the son of retired president; Michael Kiseleff, after the TDR had delved into a state of emergency with the military attempting to seize power - which has been condemned by Premier Мaužević as a coup by foreign imperialist interests.
The premier has also entertained the idea of deploying the RNV (Raskan People's Аrmy/Rašaska Narodna Vojska) to quell the unrest in it's socialist neighbour and restore the people's democratic rule of Michael Kiseleff.
