Soldiers of the Greater Eastern Union Army's 31st Infantry Division, the division that was decided to be initially dispatched into Nanming, in Nanhai Province.
The Department of Defense has announced today that the Greater Eastern Union Army's 31st Infantry Division will be dispatched into northwestern Nanming to help the Federal Government fight the remaining Republicans and the Nanming Liberation Front (NLF) in the region, in accordance to the post-war agreement between the two Governments. While it has announced that the dispatching of Tianese forces in the area is completely independent with its cooperative action against the NLF to the south, the Department of Defense has decreed such military action "a progress into the continuity of regional stability and peace".
The 31st Infantry Division, upon its dispatching, will engage the remaining Republic and NLF forces within thirty kilometers from the border, fighting alongside the Federal Army. Although the home command of the division remains in Nanhai Province, a temporary field command would be established in Taizhou, working in cooperation with its Nanmingian counterparts. Soldiers of the 31st Division are also expected to take the roles of maintaining order in occupied zones and key areas throughout northwestern Nanming.
As of now, among high military commanders in the Greater Eastern Union Defense Forces, there have been further considerations regarding the additional dispatching of military units into Nanming, namely at the form of armored and mechanized divisions; however, as of now, they remain to be mere proposals. The Greater Eastern Union has also seeked cooperation with both the Federal Republic of Nanming and Penanian forces in keeping order within the nation of Nanming.
